I called them about a replacement rim for my mini, they told me they could get me one out of Edmonton and it be about a day shipping. I called two days later when I didn't hear and was told wasn't in, but would probably be there on the Monday. Monday come and goes no phone call, so I call on the Tuesday and am told they have a tracking number they will call me back. No call back, so I call on Wednesday and am told its sitting in front of him and for the trouble they will get it delivered to me at work the next day and will call me in the morning to confirm. No phone call, so I wait till 2:00 pm and call and promised its going on second truck and it will be there before 5. Guess what? It wasn't delivered to me by five big surprise. No phone call, no communication, showed up middle of the day Friday. No receipt or paper work was given to me. Rim did not have cap, aka incomplete. Don't make promises you can't deliver on. UPDATE in response to owners comments: I work for a place that supplies parts and accessories for motorcycles and atv's, if you guys were just upfront and honest with what was going on I wouldn't have had a problem waiting, its the lack of information and empty promises of dates that has me frustrated. Thank you for getting the cap to me.

After buying a new transmission and getting it installed it was faulty within a couple of weeks of driving it and boy am I happy to say I bought my car parts from these guys. Mike was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I got a new transmission, and he did exactly that. After a lot of hurdles and I mean a lot of hurdles he still came through and got the job done. As Mike says, “Failure is not an option” and he absolutely lives up to his word. All I know is this is a family-owned business ran by some very good people who take care of their clients regardless of how bad the situation is. Hands down the best auto wrecker company in the province!

These guys were great to deal with. They were able to track down a relatively tough part (Front K-member for a 95 Saturn SL1). Although it took longer than anticipated, I was really pleased with the results! Quality salvage. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Phoned them about some parts I was interested in purchasing, salesman told me that he would have to look and to call back in an hour. It has been a while since i had been this place but i remember how coopetative these people were.5 years ago i was looking for engine and accidentally tumbled up on their website and i found the engine for the price i couldn't imagine in my wildest dream. Right away placed my order using my credit and next day morning i went to the location and told them about my order and how much i paid. They said there should be some kind of error on the website and they checked the price it was there as i said(almost quarter of its real price).Guess what they said you are one f...en lucky guy we will deliver your engine home tomorrow. I walked out of their door dancing. And since then they are my first stop for my used parts. And i strongly recommend them. Allen and Sons am coming again you better check your computer.. lol..

Although this is only the second time I've been to Allen & Sons, I wouldn't hesitate going back. They were busy when I walked in but I did get acknowledged almost immediately. I was looking for a relay, they looked up the part and cross referenced it. I went out to the yard with an employee cause I knew exactly where to find it. He located the vehicle, I located the relay and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Both times I had great service... I'll be back!

phoned 2 days before i came into town (1.5 hour drive) They assured me they had the correct rims for my vehicle. Phoned on my way into town and they told me yes they have them but they have to check and will phone me back in 30 mins or so. I did not hear from them for over 3 hours. I got tired of waiting and since i was already in town i stopped by and they informed me that they did NOT have the before mentioned rims after all and in fact had NOTHING that would work on my vehicle. Bunch of jokers here. i DO NOT RECOMMEND to anyone unless your looking for a headache and have TIME TO WASTE. !!!!

As far as experiences go this was the worst I have had in a very long time. I ordered parts from here before Christmas. Apparently they were ordered 3 times? But it was the same parts each time. To make matters worse. I would call and be passed around to 5 different people. Still not get to talk to the person I needed to. I ended up having to go in just to find out the part did not arrive, that was at beginning. Then I would get "I will have to call you back" never called back. Finally the part was ordered priority, next day sservice. Told me for sure will call me, started swearing and had a melt down at the counter. That was on Friday. Monday I waited to hear nothing I phone in and the excuse was his phone did not go off to call me. He asked me if he could put me on hold, I said ok. But instead hung upon me. I called back and he started swearing on the phone again saying he will have to call me back. Tuesday now I get a text saying they sent the wrong part again and that they were going to have to refund all my money and that I was going to have to go and pay over $250 more than I was quoted from Allen's. No apologies or anything. Now I still have no parts, after a month. Not a good experience at all. I hope no one else goes through this. It was not handled professionally at all. In response to your reply The whole reason why I wanted to go new is because you kept telling me you did not and could not get any used ones for my vehicle. If that was changed you should have said something about it. But instead you kept on misleading me. Trying to avoid me until finally I litterally had togo and do your job for you and see about picking upthe struts that you said were already ordered. But when I arrived there first you sent me to an old address. Then they had no clue about the parts that were supposed to be already paid for. In fact they were not and cost $250 more than quoted. I see now that you are very deceitful and you try to cover your butt even if it means not telling the truth. By the way I did not appreciate all your swearing that you did especially when it was very uncalled for. If you cannot handle things yourself get some help. Saying you will call people back and you dont is not good business practice. Having people passed to 6 different people just to find out that they are unable to talk to the person they need to is not good business practice. Saying you will get certain parts for a vehicle reguardless if they are used or new. Then make them wait over a month for a part you said you have in and you dont deliver is Not good business practice. As far as your generic message. With the experince I had with your company I am supprised that you have stayed in business as long as you have.

Pretty bad experience this time. I’ve been there before and had a totally opposite and positive experience. Kind of confused. I went in, found what I needed and left empty handed and feeling like I did something wrong. The place seemed different this time in the way of their operating procedure. I received no greeting or instructions upon arrival. I have been there, went out back, found my parts, came in to the building to be given the opportunity to offer a fair price but this time was a total shut down. I’m not very pleased and I don’t know if I will go back.

If I could this would have 0/5 stars. They sold me a sized engine then when I called them to try and get a refund they told me that I "installed" it wrong and sized it. They said the best they could do is exchange it for another engine that has over 255,000km, I asked what condition it was in, guy said he would go look then give me a ring but never did.

I never usually take the time to write a review but I wanted to commend Allen and Son's Auto Recyclers. They have helped me on a project car over the years and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable as well great pricing on parts. I purchased a good quality engine and many parts from them. Throughout my project I had been to local mechanics and they too all recommended Allen and Sons and had good things to say about the business. I found out first hand how they actual treat the customers with respect and truly want to help in any way they can. Some days they have stayed late to accommodate my schedule to pick up parts. I have and would definitely recommended this business to anyone in need of auto parts and information on their auto repairs. A business that has been open for this many years(28) is because they know what they are doing. I am a very happy customer, keep up the good work guys!!

Would be 0 if possible. Confirmed they had the part I needed. Then they couldn't find it, then said it was broken. Said they could get me one from supplier. Sent the wrong part. Called every day and was constantly told they'd call me back. Never once returned my calls. Finally agree to refund my purchase. I had already returned item to them. Told Friday I'd be issued an e-transfer. Didn't happen. Called Monday was told it'd be done right away. Hours later no refund. Account manager (mom) incredibly rude! After one rude phone call sent several rude emails. Refuses to refund purchase. I've now paid for item and shipping both ways. Have lost my money. Missed out on purchasing item from someone else, several times, do not have funds to order from someone else until refund is received. Missed appointment for inspections, spent way too much time dealing with this horrible company. One excuse after another. We're short staffed, my son forgot, excuses but no resolution. Told she has to pay the government before doing customer refunds? Don't know how they are even in business. Certainly don't count on return customers. Don't buy here! Do not use e-transfer!! Use only credit card so you have some purchase coverage if you are desperate and purchase from them.

I had just come from Pick N Pull where I crawled around in the dirt, while my husband handed me the required tools. Purchased a few things over the years from this place, just bought a steering rack and had it delivered 300km away in bc. It took slightly longer than expected but was reasonably priced for shipping. The parts were in excellent condition, clean and they even came with tie rod ends and the harness. Definately will be going to these guys for all my parts needs fron now on.

I ordered a rad and ac condensor for a Toyota 4runner from this outfit I believe mile was the guy I was dealing with, the first dealing took about 2 weeks before the parts where shipped ,when they showed up the rad was useable. The ac condensor was bent from them removing it and the ac line was snapped off the condensor, bolt broke off in the condensor.it Is not useable.i called back and after a bunch of pissing around was told they had another one and will send it up to me. This was 3 weeks ago and still no replacement part. I gave up with this place, I'm out 50$. Ordered a new condensor- I dont recomend this place at all! Reply : I never did receive a call back with tracking number for said replacement like I was told , never got a package in the mail, nothing was dropped off. My thought is the replacement never was sent

These guys have always been great to deal with. Any time I've called or been in, whoever I talk to has been very helpful, Mike especially. I've called to get a set of truck rims, and spent probably 10 minutes on the phone with a parts guy while he looked through several of his trucks to try and find a matching set. When I went in for some unbroken reverse sensor harness connectors, Mike walked me out in the yard and helped me grab a few, and sold them to me at a very reasonable cost. When I bought an axle shaft to replace one that I thought was bad on my Jeep, and it turns out it was my bearing, they returned the shaft without issue. When I needed a piece of a harness for my trailer 7 pin on my truck, they were 1/4 of the price of another used Truck parts place in town. Their prices are always good and the best I've found. The only time I don't go to them to buy used parts is if they don't have it and I can't wait for them to get it. Definitely worth the drive and happy to support an awesome business with my money.
