Excellent recycling spot. Looks like they take it all. Had a great experience getting help from one of the staff. His name was Jas or Jazz. I cut my hand open and he was prompt in offering me first aid. Also helpful answering my dumb questions. Cheers.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good parking set up. Recycle Styrofoam, car batteries, paint, various plastics, paper products, glass, scrap metal and more here. Does not accept cans, bottles, electronics, lightbulbs, appliances, clothes... That's down the road (3 min away) at the Norland location.

This centre is easily accessible by car and well organized. The facilities are very clean. I typically bring my styrofoam take out containers or packaging here to recycle. There are parking spots right in front on the bins for your convenience. I bet Costco makes use of this facility too.

I've never been there before, I think this is a great place, I'm giving it a 3 cause it sounds really good in all the reviews and what I've seen on the website, however, it says that it is open 7 days a week which is not and the website also says as well. I would have loved to do some recycling today if it was open like it said on the website. Please correct.

Very accessible. Drive your vehicle on to the lot and turn left. It accepts anything from paper to hard to recycle things like engine oil and paint. Do note you have to empty the oil into their main container yourself (bring gloves). The location is very neat and tidy with helpful staff.

My go to transfer station, where they have many bins for all your recycling needs, like batteries, oil, containers that carry toxic liquids, clothing etc. Plus as I landscape the green area is super convenient and the people are super helpful and friendly. I also saw this magnificent eagle there not two weeks ago and they also bring a hawk named journey to help with the crows

I recycle anything possible to reduce waste. I like that this location is accessible and very neat and tidy with easy to read signage. Also ample staff to direct and keep things in order. I don't like that they will not recycle fluorescent light bulbs, hard plastics, electronics and small appliances. Hope they will include those items

Great to be able to drop off all your recyclables, especially those items that aren't accepted in the blue bins at home like soft plastics, hard plastics, metal, batteries, paint, motor oil, etc. Saves it all being dumped in the garbage or elsewhere. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

Burnaby Eco centre is great. There are even staff there to ask questions to! It's slightly unfortunate that electronic recycling and bottles have to go to a different location, but I think it is about 3 minutes away, so quite doable!

Convenient location just next to Burnaby Costco. I do my recycling when I have to do my groceries shopping. Relatively clean comparing to other facilities of the same purpose. Clear signages for visitors. Good layout plan for people driving in & finish the dumping in an efficient way. They offer paper, plastic bags, styrofoam, clothing, oil, paint, electrical devices, glass, containers etc. for recycling.

Chubby Stop Sign holder, needs an attitude adjustment. Rude, Ignorant and over all Aggressive while threatening to hit my windshield with his STOP sign. Meanwhile I have driven all the way with my recycling only to be confronted by this Pride of Burnaby employee.......!!!!

Hate it when I see people dumping their stuff in parks and alleys when they can easily recycle their things. This place is very clean and organized. Good amount of parking (close to bins) for just enough time to unload then leave. There's really no excuse not to recycle your stuff: large appliances like fridges, metal, plastic, large cardboard, paint, engine oil, clothes. Further down you can dispose of green waste from your garden (ie large cuttings) which is free to Burnaby residents. Open 7 days a week!!

The wide centre is kept clean and clutter-free with staff frequently passing around in all areas to provide information and assist in sorting out all the different materials. Unfortunately, lightweight bulbs are not recycled here.

Entering the facility by vehicle off Still Creek Avenue, you'll pass through a gate, turn right, and then proceed to a long row of parking stalls where you can back in and unload all your recyclables that aren't accepted by the municipal waste collection system, or the local Return-It depot. For a recycling facility, the place is remarkably clean, and they even accept styrofoam. The attendants are friendly and happy to help, even if it's just answering questions.

Staff was helpful and it was one of the few places I found in the city that takes cardboard! Everything is very clearly labeled and access is easy even to the massive bins.

The Centre is great. What i can't believe is that there is no bus stop nearby. The walk from the nearest bus stop (in my case that's 17 min one way) with a load of recyclables is likely discouraging for people who don't own a car, but would take the bus. I walked there last year, in the heat of summer, and i thought never again! My bottle depot has not accepted styrofoam trays and soft plastic for almost a year now so I went again yesterday. If you agree and care, please contact Transit. i will do the same.

Great recycling location! I had some recyclable things like soft plastics and cookie boxes from work and wasn’t sure if they would accepted it. I called and the friendly lady said that it would be okay just as long as it was in small batches. The location is very nice and tidy (compared to Vancouver’s recycling/garbage places, yuck) and the staff were very chill and kind.

Very vague about where to pick up compost kit. Must provide Burnaby ID to get blue box and yellow bags. Lots of rules that do not apply to individuals. Still not sure where flexible wrapping goes...

i like recycling, makes me feel like im a good person. this place has lots of categories to put your recycling into. there's always someone there so you can ask if you aren't sure. if a bin if full the always do something about it. staff is great help. just gets confusing when i'm alone at home. best to always clean your stuff before putting it in here. there's also a parking lot so easier to get your junk out. categories range from your usual paper, plastic, mixed containers, to metal, paint, glass wear, electronics, hazardous waste, motor oil, and etc. check out their website first or call to make sure your junk can be recycled. awesome place.

Facility is laid out nice and everything is labelled to make recycling easy. If you need assistance or have any questions there is usually a handful of extremely helpful gentlemen willing to help.

Great place to do more recycle. Just remember this recycle place don’t take electronic items (monitor, light bulb, computers, microwaves , wood, and trash.) They take clothing, foams, plastic, cooking oil, mixed paper, soft plastic, glass, cardboard, propane tank, battery, white & colour styrofoam and motor oil. :)

My landscaping company takes much of its green waste here. People are always professional and helpful. Since they upgraded the location and the roads this place is excellent and well managed. We will use this facility for years to come even if the rates are higher than other areas because of the convenience of the location.

I would give this place 5 stars all day long if it were not for the continual bad experience I have with one of the employees who has a massive chip on his shoulders. He seems to be more about letting you know he's "the boss" than actually showing that he wants to help or assist. Honestly I think the place it self and all employees with the exception of this one, are great. I dread going there now. I don't want to have to deal with or even see this person. I avoid him. He's just been rude everytime. When I've asked for any kind of help, the response is disingenuous. I just go out of my way to ask someone else who have always been awesome. But because of this one guy. 5 stars has to be 2 for now.

Came here after talking to the City for a replacement recycling bin and bag. They told me to pick up directly from the recycling centre. Showed up at 3:45pm on a Wednesday afternoon and asked a site representative for an extra bag and crate. Her response was so terribly bad I could not resist sharing… “I’m sorry, it’s almost 4:00pm. We close at 4:00pm and because it’s almost 4:00pm I cannot give you the items. Come back tomorrow.” At this point I should not that I selected this fine individual to engage with because, at the time, she was aimlessly pacing around the aisle presumably waiting for her shift to end. Shockingly, she must have been suffering from immense physical and mental fatigue and could not comprehend one more request that day. Unfortunately this also meant that any sort of creative problem solving was out of the question…include taking 10 steps over to the pile of bins and bags and pulling one item off each pile. I left empty handed.

They take almost anything you think is recyclable. Take your used motor oil and filters, anti freeze all in place!

Very convenient for dropping off green waste from garden one truck load per day no charge (provided not too heavy to exceed daily free limit) as a Burnaby resident. Minimal wait to enter the green waste part of facility.

Be careful. Some of the staff here are amateur shakedown artists. If they say anything along the lines of (hey what are you doing) or (that's illegal) or (that's stealing) followed by (I'm going to call the cops) just get out of there and report to the police before they even start asking for hush money.

The only facility in the lower mainland hikes the green waste rate by 50% in October, 2017 without any reason which is unfair to the landscapers working in the neighborhood . Wish they can adjust the rate back by reference of all other facilities and transfer stations. The waiting time for entering to dump the green waste is getting longer and longer. Should have more space for people coming in to dump green waste.

You cant teach someone to take pride and effort in their work. As an owner myself, this is the kind of employee we are always in search of. I felt I had to write a review to thank the amazing staff at this facility! The young men working there were so helpful and it was easy to recycle all of my household recyclables. I couldn't believe the variety of items they accept and everything is organized and clean. Thank you again to the staff for your helpfulness and knowledge. Great city service! I only would say if ever in the future you change your hours please keep it open later than 4pm.

For people that have 9-5 jobs - the time do not work. Weekend hours should be longer - Vancouver is open to 7;00 every night!! Staff are extremely worried about 5 minutes of overtime. The actual facility is nice ????

Very clean. Great signage. Lots of stream options. Attendant was very helpful, positive and efficient. Lots of parking. Easy to get around in a larger vehicle. Organized and well run facility. Would suggest adding formal residential organics drop off to the stream options and perhaps signage suggesting where one could drop off waste items that aren’t accepted at the facility (nearest landfill, etc).
