I do not like giving a negative review so I wont make it a 1-star. If you have scrap metal go here if you really must. Pricing is minimum 20% lower than competitors. They are not very busy. This is because most people who collect scrap will go to a place that has fair pricing. Even though this is the case, service here is sometimes slow if you require a bin. People at office always look busy like they are doing something more important and are always slow serving customers. Please please please take this review in a constructive way because front staff will always argue with you if you point out something wrong.

As a first time visitor I found the process here unbearably painful. 1. When you arrive on the premise there's no sign where the main office is or that you need to start by driving around to the inbound scale on central parkway. 2. When you drive around to the inbound scale either the stop/go lights don't work or they don't use them. The scale gate is broken, after waiting 5 min I navigated around the broken gate only to find out I had to back up to the scale again to get weighed. 3. The yard cleanliness was a little nerve racking driving over metal scrap with my tires. 4. They tell you to drive up to the outbound scale after dumping, i sat on the scale for 10 minutes, no idea what to do. No signs, no indicators on when it was ok to get on or off. 5. I pull up at the office and turns out they didn't weigh the outbound scale. 6. I went into the office a total of three times to understand what to do and the office processing times are slow as ever. I will say the staff was overall friendly and tried to help but unfortunately I will not be returning, I'd rather pay to dump my scrap at the municipal recycling center in less than half the time and frustration or call a scrap man to pick it up. Its just not worth the hassle for a few bucks.

I had an issue with this company months ago and had a bad experience recycling with them. I wrote a bad review on here due to the service I experienced. The owner reached out to me personally asking me to chat with him, he listened to my story and helped resolve the situation. The issues was resolved quickly and the manager Dan was very professional and very helpful to resolve this issue. I will be back to this place in the future. Thank you!

It was my first time ever in this yard....every staff member was friendly and helpful...more so it's a scrap yard what more would one expect...no trip and fall hazards as every path was clear...Smooth experience I had in a very timely manner..10**********

Took some old plumbing taps and copper pipes in this last Monday about 9.30 AM .They were quite busy but were very helpful and cheerful. I will do business with them again for sure.

Wow, I can't believe these negative reviews! I have been a long time customer of Gerdau in Mississauga and Toronto and have had nothing but great experiences at both. The Mississauga yard has done a lot of work to improve their customer experience but putting in concrete and hiring more workers! The new manager is a really nice guy and responds to any concerns the customers have and sometimes we see big changes in the way they do things based on our input. I wish I could give them ten stars...keep up the good work guys!

First time at a scrap yard for me. I had some old pots and pans and a filing cabinet. Better to scrap than put in a landfill. Folks were friendly and cheerful. I didnt know how to start. Ie gate 1. Would recommend a sign at their Mavis entrance that lets novices like me know to start at their Central Parkway entrance. 20lbs of scrap got me $1.50. Happy to know it may get repurposed instead of part of a landfill ????????

Recently started scrapping my metal. This yard is really good. Friendly staff and fair prices. The yard is pretty clean too which is surprising since it’s a scrap yard! Could use some better signage tho. First time visitors might find it confusing.

The staff was very friendly, pricing was competitive for most metals. I noticed they upgraded their yard. I think there is more pavement and less mud. Management and staff seems to care about customers well being and safety as I heard the yard guy in the back talk to a customer about something unsafe and how to do it correctly, I love seeing this. The one negative thing I could say is that they need more signs or communication for new customers, it can be a little confusing. Definitely coming back.
