Reasonable priced parts. You can also find extra stuff that the owners left behind in the vehicles (skates, tools, cleaning supplies, etc). I wish A1 sold washer fluid like the Cambridge auto wreckers does. Some parts are almost new.

I ordered a Fuel Distributor for a 1985 VW Cabriolet, after already having ordered and paid for the same item from a dealer in Quebec which didn't work! Warren was concerned that their's may not work, because they are sealed units and can't be bench tested, he assured me that I could return it for a refund. In the event the item has worked and a refund won't be need! Very good customer relations.

My first time doing business with this place and I am beyond satisfied! Needed a Heads up display for my Grand Prix and looked around, posted an ad on kijiji and couldn't find a decent purchase. Finally found this place through one of the recycle parts website and they had one for a great price. I asked if they offered delivery and they ended up shipping it for less than the original quote they gave me because they took the time to go to Canada Post to see if they could save me on shipping. That's awesome service! I ordered it Friday and it came on Monday and the part is like new. So happy to see the HUD working again on my car. Thanks guys :) If I need anything more, I will call A1 Auto Recyclers. If you were closer to me, I would drop by and personally say thanks.

Was quite pleased with my auto wreckers experience with A-1, not what I expected. You have a certain idea of what an auto wrecker is going to be like, then you go to A-1 and are completely thrown off. Counter staff was well dressed and polite, knew what you wanted/needed, all at a respectable price. Can't go wrong with A1. Highly recommend you check them out. Huge inventory too.

Didn't have what I needed, BUT the customer service was excellent! Very kind, polite, and helpful (I have often had less-than-friendly people answering the phones at auto wreckers). The employee took my phone number and personally went and checked the vehicle for my requested part, to prevent me making the trip out for nothing. All around, happy with your service! I have never had as bad of an experience as I had here. I first called them on the phone where they were extremely rude. After that, my dad called them where they were more helpful. They said the three parts we needed were going to be $75, $75, and $150. We drove an hour to A-1 ready to buy the parts, where they informed us that those were the prices if we cut the pieces off ourselves and it would be $250 for the dogleg rather than $75 if we got them to cut it. There was no mention of this on the phone, and the employee on the phone even asked us how tall we would want the dog leg to be cut- insinuating that it would be sold precut. We drove an hour home, got our tools, and drove another hour there. Walked to the very back of the yard and began unbolting and cutting pieces. The car was laying on the ground with the tires off, so one bolt was impossible to get out. An employee with a crane was sitting there, but when we asked him to pick up the car so we could access the bolt he said he was “too busy” and continued to sit there as we dug a hole under the car to be able to reach the bolt. Everyone there was extremely rude and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend A-1 to anyone.

Prices are much higher than many retail friendly other places in the area. They still sell the parts though to the garages who end up charging the customer. Shopping around and driving to Hamilton is a good idea. People at A1 are ok most of the time considering the environment.

This place is amazing. Needed a front drivers side door called these guys up and they went and hauled it off a vehicle for me. They even put it in my trunk and tied it down so it was safe for me and my daughter to get home. Great service and would recommend to everyone.

Wanted a part which was a bolt on and easy to get off with no cutting but they told it needed to be cut off, wanted to charge me for this and then told me its was $200 for the part but it only around $165 new from a part store in town, will never use them again and you should always check price before going on that place. Real con men.
