I have sold lots of noble metals to this fine organization .one issue that I have had is domestic catalytic converters from gm do not always have identification numbers on them and rather than to take the time to identify the item that I may have improperly identified as being worth as much as 240 USD to I was offered 50 cdn for the item I took the money but nonetheless it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately these things are not as simple as a kilo of copper or brass

I go to empire quite frequently. And the pricing is very fair. Only reason I didnt give it a full 5 stars is because sometimes the time it took getting everything processed and getting paid has taken me up to 25 minutes when I only had a few things to take in. Other then that Empire metals is one of my favourite places to go to.

These guys are great!! They teach you what metals have best values, how to prepare them to get best price from them. They are diligent if a person brings in a catalytic converter, checking numbers on some system on their phones. Kevin is especially good at sorting through your precious metals you bring in and make sure you get a fair price quickly.

Brought in pre weighed and separated alum. They weighed the alum and pallet together and guessed at the metal weight. Was way under estimated and jipped $200. Wouldn't even look at the weights we already took.

I would not recommend this place at all. I am a local Scrapper and I bring in my non-ferrous metals at least two or three times a week and I have quite a bit all the time on Friday January 15th 2018 I thought I would try Empire metals since it was closed to my house. I had over 15 batteries 7 aluminum rims bunch of copper a big bin aluminum car parts aluminum siding a big bin of brass clean yellow brass and a bunch of wire. I bring lots of loads like this in all the time two or three times a week when I showed up there a bigger guy with the mustache driving a forklift was very rude and ignorant so I just drove away. If you're taking in your metals and you go to Calgary metal I would just stick with Calgary metal.

Nice staff, fair treatment, honest scales and even paid a couple percentage more than I was quoted on the phone. It was my first trip to a metal recycler in 20 years but I'll be back to these guys. Only downside was it is a slower process than I was expecting, and I had to wait ~15 minutes for them to bring payment out. I may've just caught them at an odd time.

Great place to sell your non ferrous metals like copper, aluminum, and brass. Pretty good staff, and the owners I have know for a long are top notch people. But the most important thing about empire metals, they are honest and don't intentionally give anyone unfair treatment there. I would recommend them to anyone who is legitimately selling their goods.

This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time going here. They will rip you off so don’t expect anything different. AUG 20, 2018 This place is a complete disaster I’ve never been to a scrap yard that had so many hazards in such a small little space. Their staff agreed with me how bad this location is! They also Pay on average $.10 less On everything. But make sure you ask them the price at the door. One day they might just decide to take more of a percentage off. To the owners response, yes I have been! Under Kyle and Lou nice way of trying to cover things up. You guys are full tricks and scams. Just wanted to make the community aware. STAY AWAY FROM EMPIRE METALS!!
