Had a 3 ton truck full of scrap metal and they wouldn’t pay a dime for it because they didn’t want to separate the metal in the electronics. Any other metal yard would pay atleast $20 minimum for this. Never coming here again, go to North Star metal recycling down the road. 1000x better there than this poor excuse

I have been using capital salvage for just over a year to take back all my work scraps. i have had them pick up over 1500lbs of aluminium wire from my job site. the came out the next day after i called to pick it up. helped me unload all of my wire from my storage seacan and then we loaded it in to their truck and i had my money back in two days. I also go to their yard to take back wire when it fits in my work van and i never get anything but smiles and great attitudes. a good group of people work there and they will forever have my business as long an i need a metal recycling depot. im sorry to read the other reviews on google about bad service. but steel isnt worth too much even if it is 700lbs. and we should all plan ahead a little better it sounds. especially if 2200$ is on the line.

I have been going to Capital Salvage to recycle used batteries from work for more than three years now. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. Best place to recycle in town.

Honestly this is the only place I go for scrapping my metal anymore. Great service, amazing staff, a rewards points program and a no hassle way to get money for your scrap. They also have a great charity that they collect and match donations for, for any scrap you donate. 10/10 it's always a positive experience coming here.

The whole process was smooth and professional. I had a very heavy and unusual item to move: they collected the information they needed to make a good evaluation of the job, they arrived with the right equipment/people, pickup was efficient, and the billing was accurate and well documented. A slight delay that was beyond their control was communicated promptly. Overall, a well organized and professional operation providing good service.

Great service! Great prices! Great people! They have a rewards card that you can collect points with and redeem them for gift cards, Canucks, BC Lions and White caps tickets! I don't bring my scrap in anywhere else because I always get the most money when I go there.

If I to give this place a negative star I would. They are scam artists who will literally rob you blind after your hard work Gathering metal and bring it all the way there. I know for a fact that but I brought in would have been worth 5 times the amount at another metal recycling facility. These guys know that they are one of the few places that's open on Sundays, and that people who are in need of cash will inevitably have to the force to use their services. You think you have enough for decent amount of cash once they have the metal in their hands it's not really any turning back. Don't make the same mistake I have wait until the better places are open.

Absolute criminals, took a truck load of steel/aluminum to them and they gave me nothing for the steel and $2.5 for the aluminum I had, today I took about half that load size to Northstar Recycling down the street and they gave me a WAY better price for steel and aluminum. Now I’m choked I ever went their

I seriously can't understand what these other reviews are about. Been dealing with these guys for years and they have always been fair, good service and paid me well. I have had them do picks up for me and they always come thru. Better than any other yard I've gone to before I found capital. Love these guys!

If I could give zero star, I would do so. This company is totally a scam. We recycled a 6 ft pizza making table with them in October 2015. They sent a driver to pick it up and we paid him $100 plus GST. Since then there was no news at all. I called them every single month to follow up. Every time I called, they took down my phone number and said someone will call me back. No one ever called me back. Finally in Dec 2015, I got hold with the person who was initially dealing with me. She told me that the makeline only weighs 20 lbs and is worth $5. I refused her offer. She said she will double check with the driver but he was on holiday. Guess what, she said she would call me back after the driver was back from holiday. Again, it was another two month wait. In Feb 2016, I called in to request to talk to manager or owner. Same answer, someone will call me back. I was so mad at this point, so I called again around late afternoon. This time I think all the employees are off work and an old guy answered the phone. I told him the whole story and how unhappy I am. I doubt he is the owner or someone in charge so he got the girl to call me back right away. This time she gave me lots of excuses why the process was delayed and offered me $40 for the makeline. The brand new pizza making table weighs at least 500 - 750 lbs. At this point, I don't really care how much they offer me so I agreed and asked her mail the cheque to me. Till now I haven't received any cheque from them. I would rather give this $40 to charity. This company is not well organized at all. Highly NOT recommended.

I have 2 vending machines that need to dispose early before 7am because my friends need to be at work at 8 am so I called this company "Capital Salvage" and the guy said "It's okay to dump the machines outside near the bin early morning even though they are open at 8 am. Nice guy with good customer service. Thanks!

Cleanest and very organized yard, I don't have to worry about driving on nails and puncturing my tires which is what I hate about every other scrap yard in the lower mainland. The lady in the office was very nice and helpful and the gentleman working in the yard helped me unload my scrap, what more can you ask for. Thank you so much for helping me out today, I will definitely be coming back in the future. Mano!

Stay away from them! Me and my husband needed to clear out our laundry mat from about 20 machines and a dry cleaning machine, I called them two weeks before I had to get the machines out (that was my dead line before I had to pay another $2200 for rent) , anyways, they came to give us a quote for the job and they quoted $500 plus tax and give us back the money for the scrap. They scheduled the work for a day before our dead line , ended up taking only half of the machines because they ordered too small of a bin (even though I specifically asked them to not come at all if they not going to take everything out that day! So I had to pay another $2200 for my landlord), second day they came and caused $800 damage to the front door, and they left there the dry cleaning machine saying they can't take it out because their not sure if it's clean from chemicals) absolutely clowns, no Neto say that I got $0 for the scrap back. Scammed by them over and over. I never wish for someone to go down but all the stress and money that I lost because of them I can't hold myself for wishing them that. Do yourself a favour and stay away from them

Went there with bright bare copper wire and I called a head of time and they quoted me at 2.80 a pound and when I got there and was done they give me the ticket to go to their ATM and they bought my bright bare copper wire scrap for 3.25 a pound , I did my homework and that's the highest paying scrap yard in the greater Vancouver , including Abby and Chilliwack . They were fast and very helpful. Best scrap yard around for miles .

They lie a lot. I called the office asking if they would pay for a stove and they said yes. When I arrived there they said we charge $10. These people hardly pay for metal. They take it for free or offer pennies for valuable metals and they just dump it at Davis Trading.
