Great place for recycling. They paid well for whatever i brought. I had no idea what a catalytic converter was worth and they could have taken it for a few dollars but they pulled it out of the scrap bin and made an effort to play what it is worth.

Not what they used to be. Brought an 80 lb plasma tv and about 30+ pounds of metal with one ceiling fan motor and one 2 pound transformer and they said they don't pay if they owe $5 or less. Waste of my time gathering up metal and electronics to take to them. Might as well drop the electronics recycling to the dump that's closer to home.

I have been selling my scrap and electronics to Greengo since the day the company started. Today I was surprised to be treated poorly at the Wellam road location in Barrie. I called ahead to confirm the hours of operation. The woman that answered the phone said 5:00. I had never been to this location before and drove right past it due to the small sign at the road. By the time i got turned around and into Greengo facility it was 4:50. There was a van just pulling out of one bay and the second bay was open so i backed in. The attendant said it was too late to accept my scrap. I explained my situation and said i would be happy to just throw it all in one bin, even though there was a large amount of cast and mixed aluminum, as well as mixed wire. I said you go on ahead and prepare to close and i will have this unloaded in minutes. He said no, i have to help you. He started to grab from the bottom of the pile hoping to slide part of the load out of my pickup truck. I said hold on, you know what, never mind. I had just had my truck restored and didnt want needless damage done to it. I attempted to explain that I had been a customer since the company started. I said..”ive been using Greengo since they opened” . The attendant then became rude and said ..”ya, you have been using us” If you are closed before 5:00, then you should inform the customer on the website and mention this when asked on the telephone. On the way home, i simply gave my scrap away. Who needs the hassle and rudeness from Greengo. Next time I will take it to their competition.
