I can't recommend TAL METAL highly enough. My family own’s and operates a windows and doors factory. We’ve been bringing scrap metals and scrap aluminum's for many years. Having tried different places, I can happy say that this is our go to scrap yard. There prices are always very fair and beat competitors that we’ve tried in the past. Customer service seems to be a big deal for them, as they always seem genuinely interested in helping every customer that comes in. Everyone that works there is always friendly, and never rush you. TAL METAL is a fantastic family owned business that’s been around for a very long time. They are always reliable, honest, hardworking and very punctual. We are more than pleased with their services, thanks for everything!!!

I was told the pay for mixed copper was 2.25 and did not realize until I got home that I was only paid 2 dollars /lb and that they had paid me for brass only. I would understand if there was mainly brass but this was definitely not the case with my load, It was atleast 70/30 copper. In the end I was cheated out of about 50 dollars considering I had a 200 lb load.

September 20th, 2020. Don’t do transaction with the OLD GUY OR you will LOOSE MONEY! The old guy doesn’t even look at your stuff properly even if you have all copper and VERY little bit of brass! He will write brass and copper mix! Which makes you loose a lot of money! The owner, did my transaction before and separated brass and copper and I never made more money selling copper! Everyone is amazing, the lady in the front and owner is amazing. However, the guy that works In the back should, honestly be fired! This guy doesn’t care about the customer, at ALL. If you wanna make money sell somewhere else, I’m sorry to the owner you are a really good guy! However, the old guy in the back HAS TO GO!!!

They always weighed about 8 pounds less than what I had. I was okay with it since I thought maybe they need to fix for impure material. But I found a better place that pays me for what I have. Tal Metal acts like they are doing you a favor.

I went there to sell copper. There was I bucket which had like 20% brass and 80% copper. The guy came to me when I was loading the other bucket and said to me (you know most of it was brass) I didn’t want to argue with that person so I told him. And in final bill they paid me that bucket as a brass. They are fraud don’t go there. Also they never showed the scale with only bucket. They just do their calculations and then pay.

At first I didn’t think anyone would pick up my scrap after my office renovation. I called a few places and everyone turned me down. I asked my contractor if they would move it for me, but of course they wanted to charge me. I got referred to TAL metal from a friend. They actually dropped off a bin at my office, loaded it up with their own people and paid me for my scrap on top of it all. Great customer service. Very happy customer.

Went there a year ago, their weight system is fishy they can play with it and they tried to rip me off I dropped about 300 pounds of copper and was told it’s only 250 but after arguing with them they paid a bit more. Don’t know about now but I will never recommend anyone to go there. I was told this by an Italian guy who has scrap shop at Weston and Rutherford he told me that Tal offers more rate but will weigh less I didn’t listen to him and now I know and so are you.

Was here years ago and got a good impression. Came back on a Saturday may23, not coming again. Grumpy old gentleman treats me like I'm supposed to know the business. Had to carry all the scrap to the scale for him with no assistance being offered even though he was dressed for the job. I even emptied out all fluids and gutted a transmission to separate the steel from the aluminum. Bottom line: unprofessional, unwelcoming. I'd rather throw it out for free than bring it over to people who are just going to treat you poorly.

Very disappointed. I was a regular but never coming here again. I always show up here with a smile but everyone is super rude. These people don't care about the small hustlers like myself. They always weighed my load a lot less than what it was and today, they did not accept my 25 pounds of clean, dry, crushed aluminum cans. Even though they did every other time before. First they said they don't buy cans. I told them that I come here every month and that they know me. Then, the owner said that the receiver guy is allergic to bees. I begged them to take my cans one last time since I did not know about this change and that I had biked 20 km round-trip with this heavy load to do this. They got condescending and claimed that my load is not even worth 2$ (it was worth around 20$). I suggested to change my bag, double bag it and even to air my cans to make sure there were no insects inside. They said no. I told them it was around 5pm so I could not go anywhere else for the day and they said they don't care. There was no change regarding this on their website. And when I called the lady for the price of the day, she did not inform me about it.

Went there today to drop off copper wire and when they weighed it I didn't see the number until I got the paper he was writing up and it ended up being 14.5 lbs short of what i weighed multiple times before handing it in. Very upset with this I didn't say anything because I didn't want to start an argument. I wouldn't go back and will never suggest this place to anyone

DON'T EVEN TRY TO SELL THEM MATERIAL!!! Tried to sell them stainless steel , but the very rude guy named amir told me that it is steel. It's a rip off . Stay away .... guys trying to tell me that I dont know the diffence between stainless steel and steel. on top of it all the quality of service is unheard of. STAY AWAY!!!!!
