The place is a dump . The big boss speaks little english . Sells the cars he buys for nickles for 1000s of dollars . Has a sign out enter yard at own risk . Sells parts for double that picknpull sells for and you remove the parts , most likely has no insurance for having the public in the yard . No receits for purchases made in yard , just cash in his pocket . I took 15 cats in asked how much he said a 1000 bucks , i said no, went southside 1650 you can make your own decission hes a joke and not from alberta, and are more than welcome too go back too montreal , just a terrible buisness man , but his two staffers that work in yard were very nice too deal with ty

I usually don't bring my scrap to this particular yard but since I was short on time I came and checked out global resource and was absolutely appaled by the way they handled my business. I brought my number #1 and #2 copper in separated so it could easily be weighed and recycled and they intentionally disregarded my organized scrap and catorgatorise all my copper as number #2 I would have expected better customer service or an explanation as to why they may have felt all my copper was number 2 but regardless the guys working didn't speak much to me and I even overheard them shouting different weights for all the copper i had just brought it funny thing is i had pre weighed my copper which they scaled in as 10lb less.i recommend Acme scrap iron and metal yard over global resource. I bring 109 lbs to Acme and get paid 580$ compared to the 83lb 300$ . Very disappointed

We arrived right at closing. The staff were accommodating, weighed our metal and my husband exchanged small talk with them briefly. They gave us a printout of the exchange, and we were told to take it across the yard to a trailer where it was announced we would be paid by etransfer, although there was no mention of it before. After being assured it had been sent, we waited over an hour outside the yard. It didn't come. Still hasn't, 4 hrs later. We spoke to the person who took our info before leaving. He calmly told us that etransfers after 4pm often were delayed an hour or more, but it would arrive. In my experience delays like this don't happen very often any more, when they do it means trouble, either simple miscommunication or outright theft. I wish I had read their reviews before using the service. We depend on that money just to make ends meet and now we have to drive all the way back there to try to collect. I would have waited til Monday had I foreseen this. $180 that would have been $240 or $260 in our hand anywhere else. $180 that we never got.

Not good place: Wouldn’t recommend. It was almost 2:00pm i was waiting at the door to drop out the scrap metal and saw the owner slapped a teenager boy in front of the camera which is totally illegal to assault someone, i don’t know, what is happening in Alberta, Crimes are increasing day by day and the department of the justice don’t take any action i wish that boy take an action and contact me as a witness keep away from that place.
