They had hotdogs the first time I came to recycle my scrap metal with bare wire. From that point on I knew where I was going to be doing all of my metal recycling going forward. That was at least a year ago now and although I have not yet seen another hotdog, the outstanding service and smiling faces each and every time I show up keeps me recycling with bare wire and no other, hot dogs or no hot dog. My housing situation changed very fast. I needed a good sized bin to downsize my life and save me from trips to the dump. I saw an add on Facebook, I checked their website and their prices were amazing. As I was moving I needed a couple extra days with the bin. Even on stat holiday they got back to me in a timely manor. This was My first visit here today to Bare metal wire recycling. I am pleased with my visit and experience. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The parking lot and facility was clean. Prices for scrap are very good. I didn’t realize but they give you 10% more for your scrap if you are a tradesmen. I had my journeyman card handy and got it. That’s the kind of thing that will make me a return customer. I highly recommend them for your scrap recycle needs.

Conveniently located in the Central SE in the Highfield Industrial Park off of 42nd Avenue, this Recycler and Metal buyer takes all grades of copper, tin, aluminum, brass, cabling, cast and stainless. I have been here on numerous occasions and the staff are always quick and eager to help, and patient with newcomers. Remember to bring your ID.

I have been using bare wire since they pretty much opened. They used to come to my site and pick up thousands of pounds of scrap. My problem now is with the 10% extra you get as a tradesman. It seems they keep forgetting to put down that I am a tradesman so I have to argue for the 10% extra weight. No I do not carry my journeyman card around with me. I am tired of arguing I will not be using them again.

The most amazing service. This location had the most friendly staff with welcoming smiles to funny conversation with others. They have fairly great prices and are very convenient. My number one favorite location between Red deer or Calgary. Very little or almost no bank line and it's actually very clean. I cant wait to return to them for all of this and more! I have been going to bare wire in the south east for about a year. Great experience every time. Until my last visit. I brought in number one copper and they said it was number 2 because it was dirty. The copper pipe was oxidized as is most copper pipe that was used in cold domestic water system. Never had any issues with my “dirty copper” before. I have been going here for the convenience but If the inconsistency persists I will take my scraps to the many other recycling facilities in the city

I honestly don't remember making the posting due to having 2 of my brothers die from a drug overdose, one Ryan Noble on the first of March an the other Jordan Berry on the 28th. It's always been a pleasure to meet with the workers of Bare Wire, always willing to joke an make my visit enjoyable each an every time I show up. I wish to make the appropriate rating they deserve by giving all I'm able to, if I could rate Bare Wire higher I would. This business dropped of a bin in the back alley to do my neighbors roof blocking access to my garage when trying to talk to the driver he ignored me about my concern. i will not recommend this company to anyone. yes please have it removed before 5pm as i need to leave for work and i will change my review your driver should know better perhaps putting it in the persons front yard who is having work done. the address is 260 tarington close ne it is actually illegal to have cars and other items were you have put this bin as it restricts access to people garages. i have not called as i am on nights and trying to sleep but instead im dealing with this.

Last Week I had the chance to meet up with Bare Wire Recycling's Driver his name is Dwight not only was he honest and courteous he let me know that copper prices had dropped before any transaction took place encase I wanted to reconsider selling my scrap wire. As I was there the service was good but some other people came at same time bringing bran new rolls of wire defintley stolen no one turns bran new wire in and from over hearing conversation sounded buddy knew buddy super shady not one question don't usually go hear but ya being a electrician and have my van broke into any times....not sure what's going on but one can imagine

We ordered a 14 yard bin at the beginning of July 2020, I spoke with Janice and she was amazing to deal with. Very accommodating and friendly. Be careful when you go here. I went with a bin full of copper wire and busbar to return. I put my bin on one of their carts and they wheeled the cart onto the scale. I then helped the employee throw the wire into the bin and when we came back i noticed that their cart (the cart with my bin of wire sitting on it) didnt even have the two wheels on the scale(So half of the cart was on the scale and half was not), therefor making it weigh MUCH lighter than it should have. I asked the employee if we could re weigh the wire and he refused, saying that it would not make any difference at all. At this point (with two wheels off of the scale) the cart and my bin weighed 22 lbs. He then decided to put the two wheels fully on the scale and the weight then jumped from 22lbs to 82lbs. So he clearly did that to make the cart/bin weigh more giving me less money because they subtract the weight of the cart and the bin from the total weight. (If just the cart and my bin jumped up 60lbs after putting both wheels on the scale just imagine how much the weight would have increased with my 200+ lbs of wire) I only received $210 where I should have received at least $400 OR MORE since the wheels were not on the scale, therefor making it weigh MUCH MUCH less. BE CAREFUL when you go and make sure the entire cart/your bin is completely on the scale so they dont try and rip you off like they did to me. They could have avoided this easily since we emptied my bin into an EMPTY container, making it super easy to re weigh, but they obviously did this on purpose so they could pay me much less money than I deserved. I even talked to the manager (or some lady who said she was the manager) and she refused to do anything either about the situation. VERY VERY unprofessional.
