Here you have all the feddbacks of people who purchased the services and products of Water Babies Toronto (School) in York (Canada).
At this moment the firm gets a score of 4.3 stars over 5 and the score is based on 19 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is very good, and it's founded on a large number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This School is included in the category of Swimming instructor.
I'm so happy my little one is taking these classes! Teachers are so attentive to each of 5-6 babies in the group (and their parents). My girl didn't feel like doing things in the water, even though she loves being in the pool, but our amazing teacher is basically creating a special program for us just to keep my baby happy and active in the water. I love that the classes are focusing on the basic survival skills on the water.
It's really hard to decide whether to give Water Babies Toronto 2 or 3 stars. If I were rating the quality of the lessons, faciilities and instruction then I would give 5 starts. If I were thinking about the administration and disorganization then I would give a frustrated 1 or 2 stars. We've done 4 chapters of Water Babies and we're likely to continue because they are the best swim lessons for babies in Toronto. I don't think there's another company or school that offers lessons and instruction of such high quality for infants and toddlers. We love the lessons. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, they know what they're doing, give us confidence and have helped our little one to become very comfortable and have some skill in the water for a 1 year old. It also gives us confidence to go to the pool on our own with her and play around with some of the activities we do in class. From this perspective I'd 100% recommend. From an admin perspective the company is terrible. There are issues with the pools always, fowling, outbreaks, temperature issues. However, I recognize that's not Water Babies fault. What I do take issue with is how Water Babies deals with the issues. The disorganization is ridiculour. I've also given them several chances to improve before writing this review. I had a long conversation with a manager who told me they would be trying to do better but the same issues happen over and over again. We have now turned up to swim minimum twice but possible 3 times and the session has been cancelled without any notification to us beforehand - despite the pool saying they knew about the issue well ahead of time. It also seems Water Babies doesn't believe they've done anything wrong and have little empathy for taking a trip out to a pool for an excited infant or waking that infant up for a session for that session to be cancelled and them knowing it is cancelled but not telling us. This happens to others that take Water Babies classes as well - other parents shared their experience with us. Now Water Babies is rescheduling two rescheduled classes on the same day. Again, super disorganized. So, if you want to take these classes be prepared to be frustrated and to have to watch what Water Babies and follow up with them because after 4 chapters I don't trust their admin at all.
Excellent experience. Would highly recommend for babies of any age. Parents and babies learn how to be safe in the water while also having fun. The instructors are great and patient. My only complaint is that the classes are on the expensive side.
My daughter has swam with Water babies since she was 5 months old (now over 2). Her confidence in and around the pool has grown exponentially over that time period. I have found the program to be nothing short of excellent from the administration to the actual in pool program. I would recommend this service for your baby!
Waterbabies has been fantastic for our son and us. Their program has made him confident in the water, even at 10 months old. When we went on vacation it was great because we knew how to handle safely while having fun in the pool. Great program and instructors. We will continue with our lessons!
Unless you have money to throw away, do NOT sign up with this school.
My daughter has been swimming with Waterbabies since she was 2.5wks old and she is now 3.5yr old getting ready to graduate from the program. There were so many benefits she got from the program from water confidence, to an enjoyment of water related activities hopefully for life, she slept better and she built up her stamina and strength in her body.
We are presently registered for swim classes with Waterbabies. We should have had two classes under our belt by now, but have only had one class because last week our class was canceled with zero communication from the team. We arrived on site to discover that the pool was not at the right temperature, and the team made zero effort to communicate this to us before our arrival. Even if they had called us while we were en-route, we could have turned around and gone home. The pool is not located close to our residence. Other families who had taken Ubers, or public transportation, were equally frustrated. Now having had one class, I stand firm in my opinion that the team continues to lack professionalism. Yesterday at our first class, although we were the first ones to enter the facility, the team's mismanagement of time, and their inability to locate our pre-ordered swim diaper, cost us 10 minutes of a 30 minute class. To top it off, the specific diaper that I ordered could not be located and I was given a cheaper (though no less effective) diaper. I do not mind this, however the difference in price needs to be rectified and I have written to the team about this issue. I am awaiting a response which will confirm to me that my account will be credited with the difference in price.
I've noticed that another person had a similar issue to this so this may sound repetitive but people need to know what they're getting themselves into. When we had our first class they cancelled 5 minutes before it started because the pool was too cold. Keep this in mind. 2nd class goes well but my baby is shivering by the end of it. 3rd class and my baby is shivering after 10 minutes of being in the pool and by the end her lips are blue, hands and feet are freezing. So, my partner emails Water Babies, and speaks to one of their associates, to let them know about this and they call her to fix the issue. Their suggestion is to enroll in the winter term that starts in January and we're at the beginning of November. At the end of the month my partner is billed for $150 so she calls to find out why, and this is where we realize that Water Babies isn't a good company. They billed her for the term because they don't give out refunds, furthermore, she was charged for the January classes already which also mean she doesn't get a refund for that. Apparently we need a doctor's note to get credit for the class which still means that we don't get a refund. It looks like we'll lose this battle but for any parents out there looking to get your baby in some swim lessons, keep your options open. Water Babies has some issues and we've lost a lot of money to a company that can definitely afford to issue a refund but they've chosen not to. So our options are to continue going to a class that puts our baby at risk or lose the money. Thank you Water Babies.
We are participants in the Water Babies swimming program and we love it. I was looking for something that I could enroll my baby in at an early age, I remember calling Water Babies when my daughter was 7 weeks old and the customer service was great. I got all the information I needed and even a follow up! The upcoming term was beginning when my baby just turned 3 months so we enrolled. It has been great so far, no complaints. My babygirl loves the water and the instructors do an amazing job with the babies and parents (especially the nervous ones like me). We look forward to next term!
We swam at the Beverley PS location - really enjoyed my classes, Camilla was great :)
Great classes! Camilla is the best instructor! They teach you both safety skills and how to have fun with your baby in the pool. Only down side- it's definitely on the pricey side.
I can't believe what my little one has learned with Water Babies, she loves the water now!
If there were six stars I'd give it! My daughter Marley started with Water Babies at 4 months of age, and it's the best time and money I've ever invested. She was an infant who HATED the water, and screamed as though being scalded regardless of temperature. The first few lessons she bawled in a fury. By the 3rd or 4th lesson, she began to realize she liked it. Now at over three years of age, what a fish she's turned into! We've diligently stayed with every single chapter, and it is so worth it ~ not only is she becoming a phenomenal little swimmer, but it's kept her safe: At two and a half years of age, on holiday in the Dominican, she was upset at having to leave the pool. She tantrum'd in the way that only 2 year olds can, and suddenly tore off and raced back to the pool ~ right as my husband had his back turned and I had my arms loaded and was tripping over my sandals. I dropped everything and chased her in a panic, but she reached the pool well ahead of me... and as she cried and tantrum'd, she carefully lowered herself over the edge and into the pool, doing a "safe entry" as she'd been taught... and hung there over the edge in the water until I scooped her out. Water Babies was worth it's weight in gold at that moment. The teachers at Water Babies are exceptional. Marley now loves swim class, and will continue to have a strong love for swimming as she grows... this is clearly due to her friendly, dedicated, professional teachers who have made her a confident, strong, and capable little swimmer. Lifeguards at other pools always marvel at how small she is and how well she can swim... flying along under water with her little feet kicking, like a torpedo. She swims down to the bottom of the pool and retrieves toys, then pushes off from the floor and returns to the surface. It's ridiculous. If I were starting all over again with a new baby, I wouldn't hesitate to sign up with Water Babies. I'd just sign her up even sooner.
We have been swimming with Water Babies for three sessions. We started when our son was three months old and have never looked back. He loves bath time and swims comfortably with family and friends, and he is only eight months old. We couldn't be happier with our experience.
I love how engaging their instructors are and how fun the classes are for us both! We had Nicolas start at 5 months but I know they can take them as young as mere weeks old; his brother will be starting his first swim class in August! Nicolas loves the water thanks to Water Babies and so does Danielo; I’ve introduced some of the basic songs and activities we learned with Nicolas to Danielo’s bath time routine and he already knows to hold his breath after “Danielo, are you ready? Go!” We’re excited to have classes resume in August; it was the highlight of our week in 2020 quarantine; as the whole process from arrival to changing out, was set-up with everyone’s utmost safety and well-being in mind! I recommend water babies to all moms looking to gain their LOs’ confidence in the water! Water Babies makes water safety fun! Highly recommended!! Kudos to the entire team for all your efforts during these times! Can’t wait to be back in the water! ????
