I brought an old 70's tube amp hoping Matt's could bring it back to life, and they did! My old Deluxe Reverb sounds incredible. Very reasonable shop both from a cost perspective and from a timing estimate when it comes to repairs. No one likes to be separated from their gear longer than expected.

Heard there was a large Suhr dealer in the area. So a friend & myself planned an impromptu Guitar Safari to explore Matt's. The 3rd neck I put my hand on had that "it" factor. A white classic S-Type Suhr, with a Maple neck/fingerboard in a Satin finish, beautifully dressed SS frets, with a thinner/smallish feel & shape. Within 5min we had agreed on a price and that was that. Since then, that gtr has become by absolute favorite. In my opinion, it is the best S-Type gtr I have ever played.

The first guitar I bought. San Dimas, original factory in California, guitar. Lent to my nephew for 18 years. Found with a broken neck in his basement. The Jackson Guitar people recommended Matt's in Massachusetts to look at it. Got it back a few days ago. Just played it for an hour. Incredible repair work. Plays like a dream. Thanks Jay. Jay, Brendan and Joey are awesome. I have bought a few Nash guitars here which I think are the best Fender style guitars on the planet and had a great buying experience. I have consigned several items here and there was no hassle or stress involved with the sales. They take 25 percent but it save me the hassle from dealing with flakes, scammers, bargain hunters and the delivery services. Great selection of higher end new and used electric guitars and amps.

The best guitar store - period. Yes, the selection of guitars and amps is unique and compelling. They have things you won't see on the wall or floor anywhere else in New England. The real stand-out here though, is the customer service/interaction. It's ALWAYS a positive experience stopping by Matt's. Not only is there "dream gear" every direction you look, but Jay and Brendan are friendly, personable, and helpful.
