I've purchased a few things here and had my guitar modified here as well. The staff is always very accomodating and helpful. Guitar selection is excellent, everything from beginner models up to the tippy top of guitar lust. Lessons in the back too. Great shop!

This is my music store home. Lou and the whole family at KAOS Music Centre make sure that you leave the store more than satisfied, you leave happy. I've been playing for 30 years and this is my favorite music store. I recently went in with a wonky foot switch for my amp. Lou spent hours trying to fix it. In the end, the pedal was needlessly complicated and not fixable. Lou apologized, which he didn't really have to, it wasn't a pedal that KAOS sells, and gave me another pedal that simply works. The best part, he just gave me the pedal. FREE! The staff at KAOS are always friendly, making you feel important, and will chat with you about your gigs, equipment, or anything else, making you feel like you aren't just a customer, you are a friend. Highly recommended!

I have shopped at Kaos since I was a little kid. They sold me my first guitar, and my first amp, and my first bass. I have been thrilled with the level of care and service I have received there over the years. As a loyal customer, I am always so happy to return and have Bill or Lou call me by name and remember what they sold me—and why—more than a decade since. The shop crams an impressive array of equipment into a tiny space and the recent addition of Fender products to their line makes them a force to be reckoned with. I always buy from Kaos when I can, whether it's strings or straps all the way up to a recent big-ticket item. I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking for good guitar kit in Toronto. Their amp selection is a bit lacking, but that's to be expected because the floor space just isn't there.

I was stressed as it was my first time ordering a guitar online but not even 30 minutes after my order, I received an email from one of the employee saying that my order was completed, telling me the guitar was amazing and that it would be shipped monday. I recently had the experience of dealing with KAOS Music Centre and, from the beginning to the end, I was extremely satisfied with the service that I received. I had the pleasure of dealing with Lou and he was extremely helpful. I had KAOS order a G&L guitar for me - Lou was very communicative and also very upfront about all of the timelines involved in the process (I appreciated this a lot!). Anyhow, although I do not live in Toronto, it was great to deal with KAOS and I'd have no hesitation about buying from them again in the future. As an aside, the KAOS demos and videos all seem to give me GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)!

Had a great experience buying my first guitar here. The man who served me (Bill, I think) was wonderful. As a complete guitar beginner, I came in only knowing an approximate budget I was willing to spend. I never felt pressured and I felt that he was genuinely interested in helping me find a guitar that would suit me as both a beginner and in the long run. We spent about 45 minutes in there and I was really satisfied that I was walking out with the right guitar for me. Also, with their rewards program I got enough points to come back and get a free a capo & guitar strap - so that was great. The prices were very reasonable and comparable or lower to what I could find online. They also offer yearly tune ups for free, which I will certainly take advantage of when I'm back in town. Overall, very happy that I came to this shop and I think it's great to support a local business.

Purchased an aux cable and some guitar cleaning supplies on their website for delivery. One of the bottles of cleaner was listed as out of stock so I expected the order would be delayed while waiting for it to restock. They messaged me very quickly to ask if I would be ok if they replaced the item with a nearly identical one. That would have been great, but even better, they messaged me again a short time later to say they had the original item and would send the complete order out right away. It arrived very quickly and carefully packaged. Great experience overall and the effort and open communication to get the order out quickly was very appreciated.

I purchased a fairly expensive guitar amplifier from this store. The customer service I received throughout the process was excellent and communication was prompt both pre-buy and post-buy/return. When I received the amp I noticed that the some of the original tubes had been removed and replaced with cheaper ones. Also, someone had tried to screw the back wood panel into the wrong place causing extra screw holes. This amplifier comes with a nice foot switch to turn the vibrato on and off - they did not send me the original foot switch - they sent me a cheap piece of crap Roland switch worth about $5. And finally the vibrato function of the amp did not work properly. I don't usually write reviews about anything but in this case I had to because it cost me $150 to ship the defective "not as advertised" amp back to them and all I got from them was a "sorry you didn't like it". It's not that I didn't like it - it wasn't what I paid for. So, great customer service before I bought, quick shipping, item received was not as described (defective actually) and a large cost to return it. Quick refund on their end as well.

I was very excited to take a look at this store as it is close to where I work . I stopped by on the way home and was promptly ignored by the two people working there. Apparently staring like mindless zombies at the TV was more important than acknowledging my existence. After 10 minutes of browsing, I realized their attention was never going to deviate from the TV and they were never going to ask if I needed help so I just left. Great job Kaos, you've lost a customer for life.

Excellent experience here. I had heard great things about Kaos through G&L chat rooms on the web. My experience was no different. I went by to look into another G&L and dealt with Lou Roppoli. Lou was knowledgeable, but more importantly, Genuine and kind. I recently took possession of a Butterscotch ASAT Classic and if you know anything about G&Ls, it's a thing of beauty. I hate coming to any store 10minutes before closing because I know how it feels.. i showed up 10minutes before closing and was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I asked for additional info on a potential online purchase and they were very helpful, weighed the guitar and sent a photo. They've got demo videos of their guitars on YouTube. It didn't end up being the right guitar for me, but I wouldn't hesitate to make an out of province purchase from them.

I've been a long time customer of some fifteen years- the staff, Bill, Jay, Lou and Ryan- are always very helpful and have offered good and honest advice to me- there's a sense of community to the store, doesn't feel like you're just a "customer" or a "number", they make you feel welcome! I recently purchased a great G & L Tele, as they're one of the few G & L dealers in the city, and their financing methods are quite reasonable. Jay and Lou were quite helpful to me in helping me determine the specs and age of the guitar as it was on consignment (wood type, pick ups, etc) and made sure I was getting the right guitar for myself. Their music school is top notch too: I cut my teeth playing blues guitar and learning the ropes there (for all you blues guitar enthusiasts, I highly recommend Frank as a teacher, he knows where it's at). Bottom line is they've got a great selection, helpful staff, good pricing and great customer service. Of all the music stores I've been to, KAOS is my favourite! Check them out!

Lou and Bill both gave me plenty of info that helped me make a decision and then kept me informed while it was on order. Martin factory was slow as usual but I was always advised of the status. Big store pricing with family store service. I am a longtime faithful customer of the Kaos Music Centre. Working primarily with: Lou, Bill, Jay and Ryan, I find them to be unfailingly helpful with their very sound advice. L&M and Steve's can't hold a candle to these guys when it comes to quality of service and they will compete with the "Big Boys" on price as well. My profile requires a pretty wide array of top quality equipment. These guys will take you aside, knowing your needs and tastes, and lose a sale on the spot by being honest and telling you, "you don't want that one, let me see what might work better for you." Invariably they will use their skill and expertise to make sure that their advice is right for you personally.
