The owners and staff at Tapestry are knowledgeable and patient. I spent over a month going back and forth trying to decide on a new guitar. I was given ample time to test drive anything I wanted and Michael spent lots of time with me explaining the differences between the models but then stepping back and giving me the space and time to process my thoughts. I made the decision to purchase my new instrument here based on the experience my son and I encountered a year ago when selecting a trumpet for Grade 7 Band. I purchased a new John Packer, 3/4, 4-valve tuba from Tapestry Music, sight unseen. They answered all my questions quickly, through email as well as text messages, since I live in London Ontario. Free shipping (save a small charge, but only because it came from the UK first). Tuba shipping is notoriously expensive so I was pleasantly surprised by this. I received my tuba in the time they said it would take; about 3 weeks. I was nervous about shipping such a large instrument but it arrived in perfect shape and very well packed. David Sabourin, the owner, recommended a mouthpiece which is working out very well, and also found a gig bag for me to fit this particular instrument which will be arriving in September (free shipping). I've been playing for a week now and couldn't be happier with this instrument. It's solid but not cumbersome, has a great sound, and the tuning is great so far. A perfect fit for me!

Highly recommended. I bought my first ukulele from Tapestry. Whether shopping for an instrument, accessories, or looking to learn, the staff are professional, inspiring and full of great advice. Their welcome and friendliness keeps you coming back in whether you ‘need’ anything or not. You feel like you are part of a big musical family, not just a customer. I also appreciate how they give back to the community, such as their support for the White Rock Ukulele Circle, or learning events like Brewkulele, which was a series of ukulele lessons happily located at and in partnership with Three Dogs Brewing. On my latest visit to Tapestry, I walked in with a thrift store find – a wildly decorated beat-up acoustic guitar that was missing a string and had such a high action I feared it had no musical life left in it. Rather than upsell me to a bunch of work with little to no benefit, Michael put on a new string and sold me a $12 glass slide and convinced me to try slide guitar with it in open E tuning. This opened a whole new musical door for me. I’m having SO much fun with it and this rescued guitar is once again making great music!

We rented a wind instrument from Tapestry Music recently. Mike helped us as well as a very friendly and helpful lady (I didn’t catch her name). Both of them were so knowledgeable about the instrument. They were very encouraging toward my child who is starting a journey to learn a brand new instrument. I have recently been looking for an ukulele that is a step up from the more modest instruments I presently have. I've spent many hours looking on line at reviews for various for (mostly) tenor, or concert size ukes. I then searched for semi local dealers and came across Tapestry Music. They had a good selection of ukuleles in the step-up category that I was looking in. They have several of the brands I was specifically looking at, and a good selection in stock. To shorten the story, I went in to look at their inventory, I think I tested at least ten ukes, I finally ended up choosing a beautiful Romero Spalted Mango Tiny Tenor, that sounds fantastic. The staff at Tapestry were helpful and accommodating. The store had a very good selection and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

If you need an instrument fixed, don't even consider getting it done anywhere other than here. Kind, super quick service. I needed a screw drilled out of my Alto Sax and it was done in a heartbeat, for no charge because they had an extra screw for my model laying around. Although I can't guarantee that your order will also be free based on my lucky circumstances, everything else still applies. 11/10, I will always get my repairs done here even though I live a half hour drive away.

As a working musician I have shopped at Tapestry Music since they opened 25 years ago. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great understanding of all instruments and all genres of music. The stores have a vast inventory but they are happy to bring in most any item upon request. I was about to give up on guitar after having 'downsized' to ukulele roughly nine years ago. I figured I'd simply lost my hand strength especially for Barre chords. It's been both painful to play, and to listen to the squeaky, strained sounds I was producing.
