If I can rate this childcare 0 star, I would do so. They are horrible in misleading parents about when they can withdraw kids from the program. A bunch of losers are running this childcare which only wants to lock you in and takes your deposits away. Government agency should really investigate their business practice and protect parents who are also customers.

I checked out multiple places before choosing this school. I was not so sure in the beginning, but when I visited Academics PreKindergarten, I was really impressed by the way staff members treated my daughter. They made me feel at ease, and I could see that they knew each child individually. They are very warm and welcoming. Also, one major thing - they have a chef, so you don't have to worry about food at all. It is very hygienic, and encourages your child to try new healthier food options as well. I think that "personal attention" given to each child sets this place apart. I am really glad that I chose Academics PreKindergarten White Rock for my daughter.

We absolutely love this daycare/school. Our first son started there when he was 13 months, and our second child started at 10 months. The teachers and staff there are so so caring and nurturing, and they’re great educators. They teach in a way that infants/toddlers are interested, having fun and learning. They have a good mix of outdoor play (year round), and indoor play, and they have an amazing curriculum that will set your child up for great success in whichever elementary school they end up in. I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. They have a full time chef that makes healthy hot foods from scratch everyday, which is all included in your fees. You get what you pay for, and then some. They also have webcams in their classrooms, making their facility totally transparent, and they have an awesome system set up to send parents daily reports and updates, including pictures of your children’s day. Both our kids absolutely love it there, which makes us as parents comfortable and happy to send them there. We trust every single one of the staff in the White Rock location, and will vouche for any one of them. They all take the time to know every child, and their parents because they simply care.

This daycare is totally unprofessional and lacks basic moral standard. We have informed the daycare withdrawal two months in advance based on the signed contract. We now not only lost our deposit which should be applied against the last month of fee, but also we got one month fee deducted for not complying with their rules which are not legal. On top of that, they threatened me that they will kick my son out and sued me for abandon my kid, thus I face the potential to lose my right to take care of my son.

I checked out several places before deciding to put my daughter in academics... my mind was almost dead set on Cefa until I checked academics out. I think there’s something wonderful about walking in and seeing each staff member teachers of other classes included knowing your child by name. I adore how someone is always at the front and as they take the time to greet the parents they know an unfamiliar face! (a lot of places say there’s someone at the front but often don’t) They do have uniforms but they aren’t mandatory each day, they allow you to dress your child in their colours which is great as the uniforms are quite pricey. I was surprised to see the classrooms peaceful when coming in mid day to grab my daughter, as other places I’d checked out were noisy and seemed a little chaotic. I have noticed a huge improvement in my daughters speech vocabulary and overall knowledge since she started. They have a chef so you don’t have to pack food and I’ve found my once picky eater to be a lot more adventurous (I also think she is much more inclined to try new things when she’s at a table with all her friends eating the same thing!) Most importantly for me though I am able to check in on her through their cameras (I wish more than one corner of the classroom was covered though) and every time I look in I see the teachers engaging with each child with care and patience. I have seen on multiple occasions them spoon feeding the little ones who have barely touched their food, sitting with the ones who are disruptive to circle time and showing a little extra compassion to those who might not be having the best day. My daughter is exstactic each and every day to go to “school” and just as happy to be picked up and tell me all about her day! I also don’t have enough good things to say about Kasidy at the front, she is extremely helpful and sweet.

(Translated) My son started kindergarten in Academic Pre kindergarten in April. When I first entered the kindergarten, I agreed with the front desk that I will leave the kindergarten in August, and the front desk told me that there is no need to say so early, the first two left Just apply for monthly payment, which is the end of May. When I first entered the kindergarten in April, the front desk always asked me to sign up some documents when I sent the children. It was basically not important, and I didn't care about it. I signed it every time. On April 23, the front desk called me again when I was sending the child, and handed me a piece of paper for me to sign. I saw it was the re-enrollment form. It said that if it starts from July 1, 2018, When I was in kindergarten, I needed to sign. The front desk said, just sign a name. I didn’t care about it. I think we will have to sign in July. When the day came yesterday, I submitted an application to leave the park, but the front desk said that I could not leave because I signed the re-enrollment form, so I had to stay for 3 months from July and then leave in October. I definitely disagree, but the front desk said it couldn't help me and asked me to find the owner. Later, I read the notification email from the school and said that this form must be signed by the parents. I have not asked for it, and there was no explanation when the front desk signed it for me. As a result, when I came to the office and talked to the owner, the man had a very tough attitude. It took effect if I signed it. If I said yes, even if it took effect, your leaving the park policy says that you only need to apply two months in advance. It's all okay. There is nothing in the clause that says I have to stay for 3 months from the beginning of the new semester. He also said that this is my clause, and that's how we interpreted it. I said that you don’t have the final right to interpret this sentence. As a result, when he heard the three words in court, he said that I would not talk to you anymore and find a lawyer. You go out now. If you don't leave, I will call the police and then leave. Later, I went back to talk to the front desk. The front desk admitted that she had asked me to sign the contract and that there was no explanation, but said there was no way. I wanted to make another appointment with their other owner. The front desk told me that she was on a business trip. I don't know when she will be back. As a result, my deposit of 1450 Canadian dollars or not returned, there is nowhere to appeal. If parents want to enter this kindergarten, please be extremely careful when dealing with the management. Their attitude is very bad, and there are many tricks in the contract. The commitment has to be made by fully understood of the contract but not by cheating by one party. You have zero tolerance about customers complaining even in very polite and gentle manner. However, you do 100% tolerance that your staff treat customers in a very rude way and even threatened them. If you keep doing business like this, then I wish you well! (Original) 我儿子从4月开始在Academic Pre kindergarten开始上幼儿园，刚进园的时候，我和前台说好，我8月就会离园，前台还和我说，不用这么早说，离开的头两个月交申请就好，也就是5月底。 4月刚进园的时候，前台总在我送孩子的时候让我补签一些文件，基本不重要，我也没在意，每次都签。4月23号，前台又在我送孩子的时候叫住我，递给我一张纸，让我签，我一看，是re-enrollment form，上面说如果从2018年7月1号开始，还在幼儿园，就需要签，前台说，就签个名字就好了，我也没在意，想7月我们是还要上的，签了。 日子来到昨天，我向前台递交离园申请，结果前台说我不可以走，因为签了re-enrollment form，所以必须从7月起，呆满3个月，10月才能走。我肯定是不同意的，结果前台说帮不了我，让我找owner。 我后来自己看了学校的通知邮件，说这个表格要家长要求才签，我没有要求过，前台给我签的时候也没有解释。 结果，当我来到办公室，和owner谈的时候，这位男士态度异常强硬，非说我签了字就生效，我说好，就算生效，那你离园政策说只要提前两个月申请，都是可以的，条款中没有任何一项说我必须要从新学期开始，就要呆满3个月。他又说，这是我的条款，我们就是这么解读的。我说那你也没有最终解释权归园方这句话，就算上法庭也得按合同说。结果他一听上法庭三个字，说我不和你谈了，找律师吧，你现在出去，如果不走，我就叫警察，然后自顾自的走了。 后来我又返回去和前台谈，前台承认这个合同是她让我签的，也承认没解释，但是就说没办法。我再要约他们另一个owner谈，前台告诉我她出差了，什么时候回来不知道，约不了。 结果是，我的押金1450加元要不回来，无处申诉。如果家长们想进这个幼儿园，请在和管理层打交道时，异常小心。他们的态度非常不好，合同中也有很多trick。 The commitment has to be made by fully understood of the contract but not by cheating by one party. We wish there were enough reviews that could have helped us to avoid this childcare. Owners of this childcare are dishonest and disrespectful once you sign their paper and pay the money. Our children left a few years ago and we were shocked that they are still in business with such a bad reputation locally. Parents please do your homework and stay away from these crooks！！！

I have been working for Academics preKindergarten for half a year. The thing I love most about working there is the opportunity to meet so many wonderful families and form relationships with. I look forward to the children greeting me by name in the mornings and as they leave. Since starting at Academics White Rock, all the staff have been so welcoming and helpful. I really feel as though I am a part of an Academics family. I am grateful to be able to continue to grow in my career at Academics.

I have sent 3 of my children to this centre and over the past 6 years have come to see it as a second home. I will miss drop off, pressing the buzzer at the door, the special treats from the chef and of course the amazing staff. There are a few teachers here that have watched my children grow from infant to kindergartener. I recommend this facility to everyone and I appreciate everything they do every day. Not many centres take the time to invest in different programs, technology and communication like they do. It is place of warmth and positivity. Well done ladies!

As an ECE at Academics PreK I am excited to come to work each day to work with staff who are caring and passionate educators as well as amazing families and children. There are many families who have their children enrolled as an infant and it is so exciting to see them develop and grow with their peers all the way to PreK3 at five years old. I strongly believe in the philosophies and values we teach at Academics and am proud to be apart of children learning academically as well as self help skills, social skills, and so much more. I have so much trust in the qualified and educated staff here at Academics. Each day I see the changes in my own son who attends Academics' Baby Blue class as he becomes more social, confident, and continues to build a strong vocabulary. My eldest daughter goes to this daycare and truly loves it. She has learned so much and looks forward to going every day . They have an amazing chef that makes the kids food daily. My daughter just loves Chef Amanda and her food and it’s also way easier for me then having to pack her a lunch every day. My youngest daughter will attend academics come spring. The teachers are truly the best and really love the kids.

This school is GREAT only because of the following teachers: 1. Rupinder Lidder 2. Leah Sedola 3. Iwona Rogowicz 4. Olga Kolosowa These teachers are passionate, caring, kind, empathetic, intelligent, receptive, and most importantly- are emotionally invested in the well being of their students. These women take extreme time and effort to play a pivotal role in their students growth and well being. Mrs.Lidder, Mrs.Rogowicz, Ms.Sedola and Mrs.Kolosowa take their teaching seriously and put their heart and soul in providing their students the direction and education they need. They don’t consider teaching a job- it’s their passion. Had it not been for these teachers I would have pulled my child out of this school a long time back, as the biggest downfall of this institution is their management. I have met the owners once and even then they came across as cold and undeterred by the fact that I had enrolled my child in their school. They shy away from any interaction with the parents and act like they are “invisible” when they are even standing right in front of you. They give the impression that all they are concerned with is the school fees and that is all. They refuse to take any effort in communicating with the parents, let alone the students. Their saving grace has been Ms.Nistor -who has changed the face of their management. The owners are lucky that such amazing teachers decided to work for them, because without them this school would not work. 0/5 stars= management 5/5 stars = the teachers

Ever since switching to Academics in White Rock/South Surrey - we have been blown away by this daycare. The Director is amazing - always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! The teachers, curriculum and reports are fantastic. The facility is beautiful, clean, and such a warm environment. And the chef and receptionist are super awesome - always friendly and great with the kiddos! Couldn't me happier here and have felt very lucky to have found this place for our daughter to learn. - Jaide & Scott

I have been a Teacher at Academics for 5+ years and take great pride in saying so. I strongly believe in the teaching methods and program that Academics has to offer. I have seen proof of these methods over the years while being a teacher at Academics and it is exciting to be a part of that. Since having my son and returning to work at Academics, I am very excited about his progress in learning already. I see his vocabulary growing, table manners, writing skills, and over all personality growing everyday. Academics is an amazing school with staff who truly care and are passionate about teaching children.

I love Academics PreK White Rock! The staff are all caring and so sweet. As a first time mom, I was extremely nervous leaving my baby somewhere but they worked with me and take such great care of her. They made it so easy to leave her there... I even show up on days they are closed! haha
