Although I speak Russian, I did not teach my children my native language so I decided to give this school a shot. My 10 year old son was very hesitant to start lessons because he is very introverted, but the school offered two free lessons for him to give it a try and I am so glad that he did!! We ended up signing up for 6 months and he really enjoys his lessons now, he can't wait for the lessons to start :) School staff provides great instructions on how to access lessons and the teacher that we currently have (Valeria Nosova) is great with children! After only 5 40-minutes lessons my son learned the whole alphabet and can now read Russian slowly. I would definitely recommend this school to others, you will not regret it!

My son joined Russian conversational club about a month ago and cannot be happier about it. The registration process was very easy and well-organized. Once I submitted my request, one of the supervisors got in touch with me and registered my son. The next day, another supervisor contacted me and provided all the details about the payment and schedule. When we chose the day for his class, I got access to the class schedule with a zoom link. The link appears 30 minutes before the class starts. My son attends Russian conversational club once a week. There are about 6 kids in his group. The teacher is very nice and makes sure that everyone participates in the class. My son likes the class a lot! It gave him more confidence about his Russian and he also learned a few things that he didn't know before. I like that the teacher corrects typical mistakes that bilingual kids make through some fun exercises. Being a teacher myself, I use similar exercises in my classes, so I like the approach and methods used by the teacher. Also, the teacher said that she was available to talk any time I had any questions or concerns. I'm happy about the choice of school and classes for my son. I would definitely recommend Palme School to my friends and acquaintances.

We have been with Palme School for 2 months and my son is making good progress and likes the teacher and the lessons. Learning in a small group of kids with similar level - bilingual with Russian as a second language - works well for him. I like that there are 2 lessons a week during the work week (in the evenings) and the lessons have a half way break for a music pause, so not stressful. Good value too. I think it is a great method for bilingual kids, well done, Palme School !

Very good online school. My daughter enjoyed being not alone and in a group of same level kids. Teacher was very kind, patient and professional. Online log in was easy and homework instructions clear. Price is very reasonable too. Definitely recommend trying it out for at least 1 month!

We’ve joined during the pandemic when there are a lot of online content and were worried that it might be too much. On the contrary, my son who is 8 loved it. The class has a few kids from different countries. The teacher does a really good job involving all of the kids to get to know each other and share about their countries and how different things happen in their counties (school, traditions, holidays, etc). Kids get to know each other and about different countries. There are a lot of interesting activities and games that are part of the teaching style. Our teacher, Olga, has done a really good job engaging the kids and getting to know their (different) levels. She is always available for parents and listens to feedback. We are happy with the school!

Fun and affordable Russian lessons! My son is 4 and barely spoke any Russian. We started Palme School about 2 months ago at the basic level and his vocabulary steadily improving. Lessons are fun & engaging. We love our instructor Svetlana! We are studying alphabet, numbers, animals, fruits/veggies. My son learning to write letters, and read "МАМА" in Russian for the first time today!

While looking for online schools that provide Russian classes for kids I was sure I would choose one of the schools that provide one-on-one lessons. In Palme school there is a class of kids. I was a bit skeptical regarding this approach for small kids but still decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that my 5 year old got very curious during the lessons, he was astonished to hear other kids of his age speaking Russian. Our teacher Maria has a great approach to kids, she manages to keep the children listening and participating throughout the lesson, while teaching in an interesting and interactive way. After only a few lessons at Palme school we got a compliment from our Russian-speaking grandparents that my son's Russian improved significantly. I would definitely recommend Palme school to anyone who wants a quick boost in improving Russian language for his kid. Thank you!

My daughter has been taking classes in Palme School for almost a month. She likes it so far. We have a really great teacher - very patient, enthusiastic and able to engage kids. There are not too many people in the class, so it is great that each child gets enough time to participate. The only thing I don't like is that we can not contact the teacher directly through a messenger, we need to submit questions with the homework. But it is minor, and I think I am getting used to it.

I want to share my great experience with Palme school. A few months ago, I was thinking of adding some other Russian language sources to my daughter’s daily communication with me or my parents. Actually, she was asking me of the ways to develop her vocabulary and possibilities to speak Russian. I saw the ad here on Facebook and something told me that I should try. I am usually very skeptical about ads on social media but this time I even did not think twice, and my intuition was correct! My daughter had 2 free trial lessons and really liked them. When she told me what they did during one lesson, I could not say anything but, “Wow, how did you manage to do all that in 40 min?!”. My daughter likes her teachers very much, and she is happy to be able to communicate in Russian with other children. The level where my daughter was placed is perfect for her. There is just perfect amount of homework, not too little, not too much and my daughter likes to do it with me. Also, I took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to try mathematics and Russian club for free for 3 months after paying 6 months fee for Russian language. Isn’t it a great deal? Not just a couple of lessons but whole 3 months! I definitely see the progress in my daughter’s Russian and I recommend this school to anybody who wants their kids not just learn Russian but enjoy it too.

My 8-yr old son, who doesn't speak Russian, recently started the conversational weekly class and he likes it very much. As a Russian speaker myself, I can appreciate how hard it is to keep kids engaged, but so far after couple months of classes he seems to pick up some words and sentences and his accent is getting better. I love the teacher for my son, speaking only Russian and at first I thought it would be too hard for him, but in couple of classes he actually picked up and was able to work through every class and understood very well. They have a nice technique developed there and I love that the classes are small and allow teacher to work with each child. I can see the improvement in my child’s Russian only a month into the classes. I would totally recommend!

So far, my two kids like this school. With our crazy busy working schedules online school is great option. I love that lesson is 40 min. It is not too long that kids are getting bored, but it is not too short, so they have time actually to learn. Home work presented in fun way so kids love to do it. Seems school has their own program and kids learning serious stuff right away. My both kids had some knowledge of alphabet and could read a little already. Teachers seems nice.

From the very start everything was very organized and communication was very clear. I loved how evaluation went and a quick feedback the school has provided. I felt like there is an established system in place, people are professionals who know what they are doing. So far we have been very happy with the curriculum, teachers, classes, amount and level of difficulty of home work. My usual concern with group classes is how individual approach is done. This has been addressed as well. My son has a very good level of Russian for a bilingual kid, and after evaluation he was placed in a more advanced group with older kids based on his level of Russian. I would definitely recommend Palme School to my friends.

We have started lessons with Palme school just over a month ago as seemed like a good alternative to in class learning. Initially my 5 year old was very reluctant to join so having a trial lesson definately has helped to establish if it was something for us or not. She quickly got used to it and it helped to see that other children were at the same level as her and that teacher also understood English so she could speak with everyone and knew that they would also understand. The small group helps to give individual attention to every student. My daughter likes the homework she recieves, it is fun and well structured and she likes to do it. Overall after just over a month I see some improvement in her trying to speak a little bit more Russian and starting to recognize some of the alphabet. Very convinient to have lesssons online in your own home and older children can easily do it themselves once used to it.

We started Palme school 3 month ago with my 7 yeas old. He did not want to speak any other languages but English. I am from Ukraine and wanted him to know Russian. Palme school gave him 4 free lessons and he showed interest. We decide to continue and I see a progress. He knows alphabet and can read simple worlds. My children started Palme School very late at the ages 13 with 0 language skills or knowledge and I was worried that it will be difficult for them to learn. My goal was to just get them basic understanding and minimum concentration also Russian so that they are not so uncomfortable when we visit our family in Russian and also they could understand their grandmother a little better. The first class I was worried as the teacher did not use any English and there was 40 min of just Russian. To my surprise, my children had no issues with that as the teacher uses lots of visual aids. She spoke very clear and loud so they got to distinguish single words. I was very happy that they are interested in the class now and my goals had changed since the start . Now, I also see that they will proba my be able to read and write and they will speak pretty good, I have no doubt. They need minimum help with homework as all is explained very well during the class. We changed the teacher along the way as we needed different schedule and the other teacher had showed that the school overall has great consistency in the teaching methods which are very professional. Overall , we re very happy and we re getting great quality education.

They offer 1:1 classes with re-enforcements assignments that we can print off. I ve struggled to teach her the basics at home before. Now, she is being taught professionally and properly. It's 3.5 stars really from us! But not 4 yet. Which is actually quite promising. My son (10) is doing Russian language twice a week. He has done three weeks so far. The number of children varies from lesson to lesson and can be up to 10 people, which is way too much for this level. The kids are asked to repeat something or say something, it gets a bit repetitive and my son totally looses the plot. I find he is a lot more engaged when there are less participants. The programme is sensible, I can see some logic behind it. From time to time it gets quite grammatically heavy. But on the other hand I am quite happy the school is providing this level of gramar as it is not intuitive with my son. My child doesn't have any great enthusiasm for the lessons, they are a chore. But as long as he begrudgingly participates, it teaches him something and doesn't allow him to forget Russian altogether. Homework can be difficult and we have to do it together.

We live in California and have been looking for Russian language school or classes for a while. At first online variant was not in a priority, but quarantine kind of pushed us toward this variant. And I can say that we are not disappointed. On the contrary. It’s very comfortable, effective and my daughter just loves it! That the kids and their parents in the groups are goal oriented and there is very nice working atmosphere during the lesson. I was trying many different online courses but never felt it would work for my daughter. We are really happy with this school after our first month. I got good first impressions from the start, before we even started classes. Communication with the school has been clear, easy, fast. My 6 y.o. daughter was a bit nervous starting classes where she would face a bunch of other kids who spoke Russian, since she's never met anyone else speaking Russian before (besides myself). But the teacher makes all kids feel comfortable and engaged, controlling the discipline at the same time. My daughter likes her Russian classes and always looks forward to them. This eliminates issues like embarrassment, not being able to understand others, not being able to participate, etc. Being a linguist myself, I got to appreciate the school curriculum which is based on teaching Russian as a foreign language. To top it all off, you get bonuses like free classes. We definitely recommend Palme School for kids of any level!

My 5 year old was not sure to start with, I think learning over zoom can still be hard at this age. I have asked for a 5 minute one-on-one chat with the teacher so she could get to know her better and get used to her. That helped and it’s been great ever since. It would be good if they made it common practice, especially for the younger kids, to meet the teacher one-on-one. Even after 1 month of lessons my daughter has made noticeable progress and enjoys the classes a lot. They are engaging and age appropriate. So overall we are very pleased!

Palme school is the best school so far. My daughter has been studying only for one month and I see the progress already. She is reading much better and faster and trying to speak in Russian at home. Plus this school gives you 2 free lessons in the beginning before you pay, so you can see how it goes and decide if you will like it or not. But I’ll say you would love it.
