I enrolled at glow for the Fashion Design Makeup Course and had previously completed the Beauty Make-up Course. I recommend this beauty school because of their fantastic teachers, friendly staff, and many student practical opportunities they provide. The class schedules and times were flexible for me to take part-time. Teachers were helpful and understanding. I plan on continuing my education at glow in the future.

Taking Aesthetics courses at the academy with two of my friends and the teacher has been excellent. She is very thorough with everything and makes sure her students are learning and confident with their learning. Pricing for the course was also very fair as I compare it to other schools. Glad I selected this school for my studies.

Took some makeup classes earlier this year and was very happy with the results. Our teacher was amazing and knew the industry well. The class room environment was very good as well being very trendy and comfortable to work in. Class timings were conveniently in the evening so I didn't have to compromise my work day schedule. I enjoyed my time at glow and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to start their career in makeup.

Loved the school ! My instructors were very patient and very knowledgeable.Price point is great. Our kits are well equipped and with branded products. Plenty of industry time. I enjoyed my time here and think this course is the ideal way to go if wanting to start in the industry. I shopped around for a bunch of programs thought this was value for money and ideal for starting off in the beauty side of the business.

I took some esthetic courses. The instructors were good and experienced. They knew what they were talking about. The facility looks really good too. For my manicure and pedicure courses, I had to bring my own model, so I brought a friend of mine, which was really fun. I didnt have to buy any supplies because everything was provided in class but I learnt what kind of things to buy later for my client. Course was short and price affordable.

I first signed up with GLOW late 2013 and have been attending courses here and there over the years. Though I started out only going to the Mississauga location (it's closer to me), over the last few years, I've attended a few courses at the Toronto location. As it's generally a more accessible location for students travelling from a longer distance, they offer quite a few more course options, and have a few more instructors to offer their expertise (including the instructors from their other locations). As a beauty school in general, GLOW is, for all who have attended, a wonderful institution. They continue to grow and improve each year, with impeccable success. I can honestly say that in my personal experience they are equal to, if not better than, public collegiate beauty school programs, as well as private beauty academies. Not only are they incredibly supportive and successful with their students, but they're also incredibly accommodating to their graduates. They also have many amazing practical opportunities for their students and graduates alike; a luxury that other private beauty schools I've attended did not offer. All in all, I would highly recommend GLOW Academy Toronto (truly all locations) for any passionate individuals that are looking into beauty school. I promise, as long as you take your academic career seriously and are attentive in class, you will not regret choosing this school... and even if you have a hard time learning with conventional teaching methods, the instructors do their best to work with you and help you learn in a way that works best for you.

I took the beginner makeup certificate course at Glow and will not be taking any other classes with them. Unlike other reviewers I had a negative experience with Glow Makeup Academy. I've experienced many instances where they failed to deliver on some of their promises . For example, the promise of a photoshoot was part of the course (outlined on their website at the time of my application as well as on their printed curriculum handed out in class) which they scrapped last minute. This is vital if you're planning to build your portfolio so I was very disappointed about this. They also repeatedly stated that our certificate upon successful completion of the course will be delivered to us via mail which they later retracted and said will be available for pick-up only at Mississauga. These are just 2 of other frustrating situations that I experienced with them. You can find other makeup academies in Toronto that would offer you much more hours of class time which would be more worth your money and beneficial to your career. *Edit: Thank you Glow for your response. I should've noted in my original review that I have contacted student info for assistance when I encounter problems and have been willing to meet half way on some of the failed promises. I have taken advantage of some of the practical opportunities and had a very disappointing experience on my most recent one at the African Wedding show. If you can provide me a contact or email, I'd be more than happy to discuss further. I don't wish to contact student info further though since I haven't been able to come to a resolution with the staff that monitors the student info email.

I attended Glow Academy just over a year ago. I am really glad I did. It was a wonderful experience and I have had a lot of success since then! The teachers are educated and all work in the industry themselves. I was able to further my goals as a professional makeup artist immediately after graduating. And even now I'm still able to benefit from the guidance of the staff at Glow. I would highly recommend Glow Academy to all and any looking to further their goals in makeup artistry.

Going back for the Bridal Advanced course this summer. The courses are addictive and so are the people!

Love this place! Took some makeup courses at glow and absolutely loved my time with them. Teachers were knowledgeable and have real industry experience. After graduating I continue to get opportunities to take part in practical industry events which is invaluable in helping build my confidence, experience and connections in the industry. I would recommend this Academy to anyone looking to enter the makeup industry.

Maybe great for makeup but the nail course taken was not acceptable for the price. I've taken courses elsewhere so I know that things should be done differently. The teacher I had miss Jessica was awful and talked with models about unrelated things instead of teaching. One of my days was spent by her talking about game of thrones and me constantly having to ask question and attempt to learn. She did not teach to sanitize tools properly-good thing I already know. all tools were tangled and extremely rusty thrown in bins for you to pick through and get poked. She blamed the students even though none of the nail courses are large groups of people so im not really understanding how you'd let that happen continuously not a hard thing to teach and especially setting a example for how these young women and how will run their businesses I had brief conversations with some of the other staff and makeup teachers and the seemed great and far more competent I would not suggest this school for nail courses from what I experienced it was a massive rip off edit# 1 thankyou so much for your reply my last name is different on my email I 100% attended this school, I just recently noticed my original review never showed up, I have emailed the 'info" email about my experience in more detail . from my understanding the school has made some changes to their nail extensions course! It is good knowing that this teacher is no longer employed and I hope that the basics in the course curriculum are now being taught thoroughly and sanitary issues have changed ! edit# 2 Never heard any response from school ....

I took the manicure and pedicure course with Glow college at the Kitchener location. I had such a great experience. Kimberly was my teacher and she was incredible!! She was extremely thorough, friendly and professional. I left the course with so much knowledge and many tips and tricks. I can't wait to take more certificate courses with Glow college. I love the flexibility that Glow college offers when it comes to booking when your class times are! I will recommend glow to anyone I can!! Thanks again Kimberly!
