This School is classified in the category of Driving test center.
DO NOT USE THIS CENTRE FOR THIS TEST... The Instructor has no factual knowledge of A Restricted License requirements for RV personal use drivers. He was demanding a Yellow Inspection sticker and a Sched. 1 Daily Inspect. To which neither are required under Personal use and weight class. MTO Module 8 Rules "Vehicles Exempt from Inspection" General Vehicles A truck with a combined registered gross weight and actual weight of 4,500 kilograms or less, whether towing a trailer or not. A personal-use pickup truck or bus. Operators that don't need a CVOR certificate Carriers that operate certain types of vehicles do not need a CVOR certificate. These vehicles include: trucks with registered gross weight and gross weight of 4,500 kg or less, whether towing a trailer or not. He refused to read the Info I was providing directly from the MTO Website to show his error. Instead doubled down on is misinformation and refused our Road Test. Im reporting it to the MTO!
They told me I could not transfer my license and then went on a rant about faxing drivers abstracts and how anyone could send in a fake one; when I never even asked or brought up faxing. So rude and jaded. I never raised my voice or was rude or spoke out of turn and when I went to tillsonburg because I heard they were saner, the lady at the desk told me there was a note on my file that I had refused their services in Simcoe. When in actual fact they refused to serve what I needed. The person in tillsonburg helped out alot and had an answer for every question where in Simcoe it seemed as if I lined up to be yelled at with no promise or hope of service for a license transfer. I was actually quite embarrassed how they treated me. In my opinion this place needs to be shut down. Not a person in Norfolk has anything good to say about this spot and tillsonburg is getting too busy because of the inconpotence if this office.
Polite staff
Female examiners are terrible, only aim is to fail candidates.very rude.
The driver was thorough and kept to time.
I’m seeing all these bad reviews and I’m wondering why they’re even here. I did my G test here and I had Amanda as my examiner. She was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable, she was even cracking a couple jokes here and there. I was super nervous going into the test but the nerves went away as soon as I realized amanda wasn’t like the examiners in Hamilton (rude, stuck up and seem like they WANT to fail you).
God rest your soul if you get Bob. Extremely rude and inconsiderate of the fact there are nervous young drivers taking the test. (Granted I was aware I committed a couple faults but they were minor, not according to him I guess though) Luckily he’s a Commercial Examiner so you may get a better examiner, either way a complete bag of an examiner and shouldn’t be administering G2 Road Tests
If I could rate -5 stars I would. Horrible service, no cooperation. Waste of time. Take your business elsewhere.
This driving centre is a place of pure greed, ignorance and terrible experiences. I have nothing but horrible things to say about the service and staff of this establishment. It is made very clear that this company is persuaded to fail its customers for their own personal financial gain, which im sure it being a private business is not simply ironic. If you plan on visiting this establishment to take your road test, than prepare to be unrightfully failed and treated with ignorance. I am not one to leave reviews on companies that wrong me, but i am passionate about how much i dislike this company. There is a woman who works here that i will personally be filing a complaint towards due to how disappointed i am with the service i was provided. I strongly suggest steering clear of this establishment.
I had my road test my instructor was Rob he very nice person & i thank to him . my school Taaz Truck driving & forklift school , he said your school provide you very good training , thank you Navdeep From Taaz
0 stars. Location is great but this place definitely needs all new staff. If i could shut this place down I would.
Not to busy. Very courteous and helpful.
Well experienced staf ....
Don't go here!! This is a terrible place! Worst experience ever! My son and I just drove 3.5 hours in heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to get to the Simcoe location. We were 10 minutes late because we went to the wrong location first, which was 40 minutes away along with terrible road conditions. I called drivetest and the agent said go ahead they will fit you in if you explain the circumstances to them. So we drive the extra 40 minutes to Simcoe just to be greeted by the rudest most ignorant lady at the front desk. I tried to explain to her what happened and that I spoke to a drive test agent to let them know I'd be 10 minutes late, but she wouldn't let me speak and just kept saying "Too bad, it's too late we're not taking him!" Then I'm assuming it was the drive instructor lounging in the chair beside her doing nothing except chatting to her, said he has no time to take him out!! I guess he wanted an extra hour to lounge around instead of doing his job that he's getting paid for. He was also smug and rude! I wouldn't want my son in a car with him anyway! They both should not be working in jobs dealing with customer service. Not a good experience for young drivers. I will say the guy on the door was very kind and helpful. Too bad he has such terrible co-workers!
Very rude !!! People That work there!!!
I had a great experience during my G test. Amanda is a very friendly and patient examiner, made me feel comfortable and helped relax my nerves before starting. She is an excellent example of a professional examiner. The lady working at the counter was also very friendly and pleasant as well, I did not have to wait long at all in the car for the examiner to come. I highly recommend this test centre!
I passed my G2 and got the best instruction from Adam. He was such a nice instructor. Highly recommended this location for road test.
Amanda was amazing! I was super nervous while waiting in the car but she was very nice and I felt comfortable driving with her.
Horrible place staff rude and driver instructor has no patience.
100% understaffed and not prepared for the amount of customers they receive on a daily basis. 3rd time I have waited here near 2 hours to no avail. Would recommend Hamilton everytime. No kiosk number ever gets drawn, people wait hours just to be told they either passed or failed their driving test, and workers who seem so overwhelmed that they hide inside there own staff room. This DriveTest facility is severely understaffed and they make it every customers problem. Go to Brantford or Hamilton in short...
Went in today to write my M1. When I got there, only one other fellow that had returned from his road test. One woman was sitting at the desk and one behind her floating around doing seemingly nothing. Waited 10 minutes and they didn't serve either of us. They then proceeded to go into the back and for 10 minutes no one was behind the desk to help either one of us. A different lady came out and took 15 minutes to process the first guy. She then proceeded to serve the other 3 people that came in behind me before me even though I had a ticket and was there first. At which time the first lady from behind the counter came back out and asked why I was still waiting and served me right away. Wrote my test and got out of there. 10 minutes to write the test and a 2 hour long process. Unreal
I previously had gone to the Hamilton location and found their service was poor, the place was busy, examiners were rude, and the facility worn down. I was very surprised to come to this place after reading it's reviews to find that the service was friendly, it wasn't too busy, and the examiner Stan should be an example to all driving examiners as to how a driving examiner should be: friendly, patient, reasonable, and not completely lost his mind. I would recommend going to this place if you've had a previous poor experience with any of the other DriveTest centers.
The evaluator was very strict ( I think I was very tired on the day of my test), but the man has a judgment about the road test and knows about the important points.
Amazing staff and driving instructor ???? was really patient and was amazing to drive with I do recommend this place I pass my G2 today and was really happy with the results .
It would have been a 5 star but your bathroom is disgraceful. No toilet paper or soap. Instructor was very kind. I am not sure what his name was now.
Just had my DriveTest today and wow. I was so nervous and the girls there were so sweet. It was the first day they were open since the lockdown and they were so prepared and understanding. Receptionist was so amazing, didn’t get her name as I was so nervous but she was a delight. Funny and relaxed. I was so happy with my instructor Isabelle, she was calm and sweet. I felt so calm, didn’t feel anxious driving. She gave a lot of notice for the turns and next steps. These other reviews may be old because what I saw today was so not like that. Super happy with picking Simcoe as my drive test location.
I only had a week left before my g2 License expired and the only place I could book was at this location , I was extremely nervous as I've never drove in that area before . Stan conducted my g test and was absolutely amazing , was very patient with me and let me know ahead of time what he expected . For anyone nervous about taking their g test I highly recommend this location as all the staff was very friendly and helpful .
I got Good experience and perfect services
I took my G2 and G license here. The staff were good and accomodating. They have some system issues when I went for my G but they facilitated it very well. They handled the impatient people very well. System failure happens and its not really their fault. They tried their best to cater to everyone. Stan, is an embodiment of an outstanding professional examiner. He is very calm, patient, polite, reasonable and friendly. He addressed mistakes in a positive manner and not degrade your skills. I commend his proffesionalism. I hope other examiners follow his way. Overall good centre to take your license.
I have Stan as a instructor today for a g test and he was great. He was joking around and really made it an easy going experience.
Be careful not to take a luxury vehicle on your road test as a male examiner named S..n will not only fail you because of it, but will complain about luxury cars during your exam.
Pleasant Location for Commercial Truck examination. Offset Backing.
If you are deciding to do your G2 test here, i would suggest watching out for one of the driving instructors. i don't know if i'm in a position to expose her instructor number or name, so all i will say is that it was an older woman. The service this woman provided was by far the WORST of any instructor i have seen or heard about, and i honestly believe most of these negative reviews are of her. Very rude.
Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant tester.
Always friendly great with the young ones coming infor the first time.
Worst customer service in town plan to take the day off
i can tell you all failed your tests
When I went the place wasn't very busy and fortunately I got in and out quite quickly. The driving tester (I believe her name was Isabelle?) was very friendly and even showed up slightly early to my test which was certainly appreciated considering it was 40C outside. I may have lucked out as the instructor for the person who went before me seemed much more rude and was literally yelling at the poor kid before he had even started the test. However the staff inside were friendly and quick so it was all in all a painless experience.
Really rude staff. Worth the drive to Brantford to avoid It!
What ever you do DO NOT TAKE YOUR G2 AT THIS LOCATION! The examiner comes with you during the test is certifiable crazy. Everyone I know including myself have horrific experience as she yells in salts at you, curses on everything you do as if your some sort of stunt driver. To top it all off the have no sense of what the actual law is and when you dare to defy them and show them the law in the book. They ban you from retaking your test at that location for being a hazard to them and other people. Do whatever you have to to not use this location even if you have to drive to Brantford or something. If I could rate -5 stars I most definitely would.
I am so disappointed about the Lady who do the G2 driver test for me today. I had appointment at 3:30. I got ready and wait 15mins before. When she came, she checked on my car then say my car was crack in tire . After that she left so quickly , i do not even have a second to ask anything. I come and double check all the tire. There is no crack at all.
They don't ask for anything above what is expected of you, and their staff are helpful and unintimidating
If I could give this drivetest 0 stars I would. Waited over an hour in line only to be told I cant write my test today even though there was well over an hour until closing. Receptionist took two people ahead of me from random spots in line and the examination room was empty. If you can avoid going here, go somewhere else.
Worst service in the world never give you the proper information you need are absolutely no help rude impolite staff at the desk instructors are mediocre at best not to mention desk staff seem to have no problem yelling at you, even if its first time being there not knowing the rules have no problem wasting your time and sending you away whether you've come far distances or not
staff is very nice and polite!!
I booked a test well in advance and realized after that I double booked my self for an other appointment, that can't be rescheduled like a drive test. I've called numerous time's and even email them to reschedule. I'm fairly certain that these people don't even answer there phone or check there emails. Since I've never once herd from a real person. It's very frustrating and disappointing to see this how they scam people for money and put them threw this before a test no less. And the worst and sad part is I haven't even taken my G test yet and been trying for 3 week to get a hold of some one. Terrible service.
They fail you without any proper reason
I had an absolutely great experience. The lady working was very friendly and helpful. I drove from St.Catharines just to avoid the chaos of the drive test facility there. I am so happy I did drive to Simcoe. A nice new building. It's small but I was in and out in 30 minutes. If you want to write your beginners or do a road test this is the place to go.
Awesome lady at the counter. Apologized profusely that I had to go elsewhere to pay reinstatement fee as this wasn't noted anywhere. Said she'd wait for me to come back. It was 4:15 on a Friday and the place was empty!
So Happy for this place it’s so different Approach from the staff and also from the most Respective AZ Examiner sir Rob …. thx so much not only my Examiner sir ur also My Instractor and am so happy for ur Advise thx again for ur good Job so helpful . 5* ????????????????
trying to book my g2 road test no answer, very poor
Today I passed my G (g2 exit) test with Isabelle. She was 20 minutes early which was nice being that I came from out of town. She gave clear instructions and was understanding of the construction going on in the area.
As a family member went for their Drive Test at the Simcoe location, I was merely the observer. Having been in business for 30 years, I can earnestly say; that the people here would not survive for one minute in the private sector in, the way they treat people. There is no need to be rude, unpleasant or unprofessional. I know things linked to the Gov.are run different but there is no reason to treat people like objects.
Terrible customer service. I felt like I was ruining their day by bothering them! The girls working there were more concerned with visiting with each other than helping the many, many people lined up.
I do not suggest taking your G here. The one female is rude, and stated that she HAD to fail me because I signaled to early a couple times, I was successful taking my G in Lindsay, and passed no problem and was signaling at the same time I was when i did it in Simcoe.
PEOPLE NOW CANNOT TAKE THE DRIVING TEST, BECAUSE OF THE THE VIRUS GOING AROUND, IT IS AT A HALT, FOR NOW,,= THE YOUNG PEOPLE. WANT TO TAKE THE DRIVING TESTS, TO GET THEIR LICENSES, BUT CANNOT, THEY ARE VERY UPSET, THEY PAID FOR IT,, HOW MANY PEOPLE, PAID FOR THE FULL COURSE, THE DRIVING TEST AS WELL AS THE DRIVING SCHOOL, THIS IS THE ONLY DRIVING TEST CENTRE IN N.L.. WE NEED THE VIRUS TO GO SOON,
I wish i had 0 star for instructor .
The worst location you can go to. They can't even spell "light" The examiner and his supervisor made me wait 30 minutes and couldn't wait 10 minutes for me to fix the brake light. They usually make people wait on standby but asked me to reschedule. Funny how others wait on standby and i had to reschedule. M not not playing the race card here...
Wow!!!! I dont even want to give 1 star you can certainly tell this is not government run and they get paid per test. I will give it 1 star due to the fact the gentleman there makes the kids feel relaxed and seems to understand kids are a little nervous. One of the counter persons is awesome very friendly and helpful. A couple years ago one of the instructors there giving one of my 6 kids test failed him 8 times everytime he did something wrong he would correct it finally he had done everything he was told to do and kept failing we reported it and a couple people were no longer seen there anymore (go figure) anyways the test person passed him he passed him again this morning took another son this afternoon someone we recognized from previous...and he failed the G he now has lost his license has to start over when I asked how he is to get to work the response was a shrugg and smile failed him for staying in the left lane too long? He was in the right but kept telling him to move to the left at the merge cars were coming through the light so he had to stop he was told it's not a stop sign???? This place is USELESS!!!! Unless you dont care about spending thousands we had 6 kids to get through we ended up sending them to St. Catharines???? This is the same person who gave him his G1 a year ago so he went back. DONT DONT DONT USE SIMCOE CENTER go to a government funded facility where they get paid weather your kid passes or not they will be more fair and wont be harrassing
Very Unprofessional staff, extremely rude and inconsiderate examiners MTO should open their eyes, I felt like I am in a very very under developed world they treated us very unprofessionally, kept us waiting more than an hour and then they cancelled our appointment although there was enough time for closing time, the examiner said he has to go home
The guy who tested me today was Incredibly rude. Didn't even give me his name. I have extreme anxiety and he didn't help at all. I admit I made a dumb mistake or two on my own but he really set me up for failure. Would shout one word at me for me to show him how the things on my car worked, pointed for my turns instead of telling me and did it very late causing me to nearly crash as his turns were so sudden and my nerves were so jumbled. He didn't even finish the entire test with me (parking, 3 point turn) and didn't give me much to improve on. Just to take more lessons. Feels like a cash grab. He also didn't even give me a score sheet to see how I did. I felt like I had failed from the start from his attitude.
Today I had my g2 and I had heather she was very nice and it was super easy! I was freaking out before the test but it was nothing to get worked up over! Good luck to all
I got my G2 today. Adam was my examiner. He was phenomenal. He gave precise and clear commands. I was a little nervous, so he tried to make me relax by having a small chat like "Are you having fun... driving the car??? " And he laughed to make me laugh and feel relax. I would recommend this test center to all my friends and family.
THE MALE INDIAN EXAMINER WAS VERY VERY VERY INCONSIDERATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! HE EXPECTS A G2 EXAMINEE TO BE AS GOOD AS A FULL G DRIVER!! AVOID THIS DRIVE TEST CENTER AVOID THAT EXAMINER AT ALL COST HIS RUDENESS KNOWS NO LIMIT!!!
This is the worst place I've ever been. Do not book your test here. The staff here is horrible and lazy. Sitting around doing nothing and getting paid. Definitely making a formal complaint against the lady at the front desk and the drive instructor. I would have never chosen this place myself with such bad reviews. I was booked in by mistake! Don't go here!!
Although I failed my G2 test here (June 12 @3:30pm), I'm still amazed how the attendant lady in the front desk spent time to explain to me the results of my drive test. She's very nice and polite. I really appreciate her effort and she deserved this review
Overall very good experience. Staff was nice, driving instructor was great and the G route was good. Would recommend!
After having a bad experience in Mississauga I came to give my road test here, everyone was friendly and the instructor was very nice.
Don't book in this location, very bad experience with an Indian examiner, he will fail you for even small mistake.
the only drive test center in Canada with 5 stars
My driving instructor (Rachel, I believe her name was) was so lovely, very nice, and soft-spoken. Which helped calm my nerves while driving. I'm so glad I had a pleasant experience! I've been to other drive centre's in the past and no other staff has been as nice as Simcoe's.
I did my G test here and failed for a few reasons. Two valid reason for deductions would be not shoulder checking enough, and not using my hand brake after parallel parking. Although for my G2 test I never used my hand brake and still passed. My issue(s) with my test is my instructer (an older woman) asked me to turn left at the lights leaving the parking lot, but the lane was backed up into the intersection. I turned my signal on at an appropriate distance from the car in front of me, but she said I signalled too early. If I used my signal when she asked, I would have been changing lanes in an intersection. Two more things I had an issue with was she said I was in the cross walk at a stop light, but my tires were behind the line, and my nose isn't that long. Lastly, the weather was sort of snowy, so I didn't go exactly 50km or exactly 80km for safety, and I lost points for "inconsistent speed". When I did my highway merge, I was maybe going 76km and my instructor docked marks for "not merging at highway speed". I own up to my mistakes, but I didn't think I deserved to fail. Knowing I'm not alone in my bad experience, I'll be doing my next test somewhere else for sure.
I'm going to give this 3 stars currently. A few years ago, the staff were respectful and the lady who passed me gave me a well deserved break as I performed driving really well. But recently, I've had to deal with one employee/instructor there who seems to make very rude remarks and acts in such a vile manner. Rules are rules, I get it, but sometimes young people like myself or others out there need a nice experience and not be stressed out during the process. I have heard other complaints and literally heard a customer complaining and this employee was still rude to that customer beside me and didn't seem to have a shred of empathy. Needless to say, I'm trying a different office and hoping for better results. I find the other employees I dealt with were respectful and easygoing but it's the one instructor there who needs to be removed or to the very least tone down on the disrespectful attitude.
Rude instructor, and poor communication. Do not recommend taking any road test here
The customer service via automated help is terrible got hung up on 4 times by a dang automated call thing! And then to top it off the 5th time I tried I got to where they ask my exp date and it said we think u need further assistance like no I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING. Very frustrating -_-
I don’t know the exact name but i guess the lady name was ANGELINE( with specs) …She was super nice, polite lady and VERY PROFESSIONAL.
Went there to take the G test. The instructor, I believe her name is Amanda was setting us up for failure. We were four people who went to give the G level exam. And none of us passed it. The result sheet had same errors marked for all four of us. We couldn’t understand how that was possible. Instead of making people feel comfortable, she made us nervous and was telling about the failing policy before starting the driving test. Gave end moment instructions which lead to unsafe driving and failing the test! Highly disappointed.
Had my g drive test the instructor was very rude and made feel stupid which caused me to be even more nervous and I made even more which I normally wouldn’t! Do not go here unless you are okay with being treated horribly
Myself and many other friends and family members have all driven the 1.5 hours away from our town to purposely do our driving tests in Simcoe. We have all had nothing but success at this location. It’s very much like driving in our small town with very little traffic and no confusing roads. The driving instructors are as nice as they can when all they can give you is instructions and directions during your test.
poor service and staff is rude with people
Dont bookyour test here they will fail you for no reason
Rob is the best instructor I ever meet in drive test centres . Thank you sir
Place is always packed with people. Don't use the washroom. It's always a pigsty and no toilet paper. Seriously people?
They have no idea what they are doing! Go somewhere else!! Rudest and most unknowledgeable people ever!! Will send you on a wild goose chase and then will not serve you when you get back 10 mins before they close because they are too lazy to stay open until closing! Worst experience ever, should hire new people who aren't absolutely useless!
Lovely and kind staff, instructions where very clear and fair testing, Betty was out in the sun all afternoon while 7 people did their motorcycle testing! Betty is a trooper! 10/10 would recommend!!
Lady failed me because a pedestrian ran through the flashing hand sign as i made a left hand turn and i had to abruptly come to a stop. Also had me drive right through the middle of a parking lot. Well not "illegal" its 100% unsafe. Is not good driving ethic. And causes unforeseeable hazards. Their parking lot has painted lines and laneways for a reason. Use any other test center.
Simcoe drive test..smh.. absolutely some of the rudest people I've ever met..
I went there to do my test. the woman in the counter told me i can't approach because i was living in Mississauga the problem start when she didn't allow me to register so i can save my money (appointment) so they never cancel my appointment i must to call the drive test center (that its a headache) to explain why i should have the next appointment for free
Terrible place. Lady fails everyone. More cash for them! Go to tillsonburg. We are now on our way back (from out of town) as she didnt even tell us we had to go back into building to get paperwork! Kids are nervous enough. Maybe some kindness at the start of the test would put them at ease!
Appalling customer service and rudeness, unbelievable!!!
Bathroom not cleaned for at least two weeks
Absolutely horrible service , minimal staff .Totally overbooked , incompetent and rude about it too.
My road test examiner made me practice very unsafe road driving and then failed me . She gave me late notice about turning left. I was in the far right lane and was less then a block away from the intersection , and in the last second I was able to safely move to the middle lane but she told me to stop my car in the middle lane to shove my way into the left lane to turn . And that i HAD to get over to turn left , when I was a car away from the intersection . I then stated I can’t cross that solid line to go left. It’s not safe ... Instead of safely redirecting the route . She told me to stop my car in the middle lane in the middle of the traffic. And then told me at the end that she could fail me for disrupting traffic for that left turn WHEN SHE WAS THE ONE WHO DECIDED TO DEMAND THAT I STOP MY CAR- at a green light to get into the left lane ... ...later when I came to a smooth complete stop at a red light to turn right. She said she failed me because she didn’t get the jolt from me stopping . Well hate to give it to her , but the jolt is caused by force . Therefore I’d have to slam on my breaks for you to go flying forward for you to feel that jolt . But instead I came to a smooth slow stop - completely. Then proceeded to turn but she was so busy looking at her windows iPad or whatever it was that she continued to yell stop at me when I had already done so ... that is NOT safe driving at all... I should get a refund for wasting my time with this old lady . Who according to all these reviews. Fails everyone ... I made an official complaint to the ministry about her being an unsafe examiner . Hopefully something gets done about it ... I’ll change the ratings if they do -
Tester named Amanda faild me because I "made an unsafe maneuver" that was because I had to go back into the merging lane due to a mustang going 120 km/h about to rear end me
Never done a review before for any company. But the old lady that did my road test today was a nightmare . Could tell she was going to fail me from the start . Bad attitude
The process was a little time consuming because the kiosk was down, but otherwise everyone was very professional and polite. Went for the G test, the test examiner was phenomenal, Isabella i believe, clear instructions, very professional and calm and collected. Thumbs up to her.
If I could give 0 stars after my experience today, I would. It’s Jan 28 2022 and I finally got in to write my G. My G2 is expired but with covid I wasn’t able to get an appointment until today. I’m a female in my mid 20s & I have anxiety so I try to prepare as much as I can. I drove an hour to the test centre last night to practice with my boyfriend as well as 3 hours early today with my sister. My test was at 3 and you have to be half an hour early so I went in to the drive test centre at 2:20 to be even extra early. The receptionist tells me that I need to register at the kiosk, so I get in line to wait. The gentlemen in front of me were having a hard time figuring it out so I said to the lady that I printed out the online self assessment last night & showed her the paper & she said “oh okay that’s fine then. You can wait in your car back behind the centre for someone to come out to do your test” so that’s exactly what I did.. but then 3pm hits.. 3:10.. 3:20.. & we go in to see what’s going on and we say to the SAME lady that we’re still sitting out there waiting?? And she’s like oh well you didn’t register and it’s too late now. Pardon???? I would have registered 75 times if I had to but she told me herself that I was good to go wait in my car??? This has been absolutely infuriating. I wasted my entire day & took a day off of work not to mention the amount of anxiety I had during this entire experience. I had an awful experience at this same location over 6 years ago when getting my G1 and was hesitant to come back for my G - I guess I should have listened to my instincts. Wow.
I have so many questions about how this place is run. First of all, how many people need to be in the building for them to open another wicket? I mean really? One wicket for driver tests and appointments and one for everyone else. There are 18 seats in here all full, 11 people standing and 2 sitting on the floor, plus 10 in the driving test line. And 2 people being served, TWO! It's nice the a couple of time this place got five star reviews because it shows that the people who work here or there loved ones care very deeply about them, and that's very sweet. But in reality if they opened more wickets they would get yelled at less and wouldn't dread coming to work. This is what government privatization has gotten is here! Poor service, a private company making money, providing poor service. I've been here an hour and I've seeen 4 people serviced, 45 are in the building. The 5 star ratings look like BS to me.
The black fatty lady at the front desk is so rude. Pls teach her manners Thank u
Stan is an amazing examiner and extremely polite. He’s very friendly and helps you calm your nerves so that the test doesn’t feel like a test, rather a simple drive. He does his job very well and is an example of a kind, patient and professional examiner.
I've been calling for a week to book my road test I've left 2 messages now and still haven't gotten ahold of anyone. I've called every single day and nobody has answered the phones or responded to my messages.
Can't speak to all employees but I found them helpful and personable. The staff related similar experience to alleviate concerns. Also booking road tests is done in person or through an automated system. The staff taught me that.
The people at the desks are extremely rude and terrible service
If you get Heather. RUN!!
My instructor was quite rude. She had an attitude aswell as she was completely emotionless. I have no idea if it was because of the previous driver but she was rude to her aswell and spoke to her with the most disgusting tone of voice. You would figure they would be nice about things atleast. You don't have to befriend me but shedd a little bit of respect. I did fail my test, i did not do anything wrong from my point of view. I forgot to signal into a parking spot Is all and there was a pedestrian about 15-20 steps away from the point to where she would be crossing the road and she docked me for not waiting. It's all good in the hood tho, I just need take the test again but I was not thrilled with my experience with the instructor. On the other hand the personnel at the desk was verry polite and helpful.
The ladies were very rude.
I read a lot of bad reviews about this place but it's your run of the mill drive test center. My only complaint would be the bathroom. They were put of toilet paper and it seemed had to wait for someone to actually come to the office to replace it. Weird, but everyone there was sweet and welcoming
Stan was the best, had him for my g test. He's really great at calming down the nerves and treats you like a normal human being. Happy I passed and everyone was very nice inside, not sure why so many bad reviews.
This place is the slowest place and do not care about customer service, and why should they, there is no competition or alternative places. We waited for over 5 hours just to take a digital test. Wow.....
Passed my AZ license with bluerock trucking school here on my first attempt. Examiner was very polite and made my whole test very calm. Always go for simcoe drivetest ????????????????
Rude unhelpful staff
The ladies at the front desk were friendly and timely, they took their time helping me get what I needed and made sure I understood.
I gave my AZ test last week and was able to clear in one go. Luckily i got Rob as my instructor and would definitely like to share that he is a commendable person and made me feel as if its so easy to drive a truck. He guided me well and i believe we need more person like him so that this driving test is easy and no one gets nervous and they come out with flying colours.
worst experience. got a reservation with a fat rude woman for an examiner rona or whatever. This drive centre is looking for fees and to rip you off. Fail without geniune reasons. Disgusting!!
Terrible service and wait times.
It seems like they fail you just to get your extra money . And the customer service is bad . rude people . i want to know how they can do that but that's life
Had done the test perfect, was failed for an invalid reason, staff is rude and inefficient, inconsiderate and racist.
Horrible wordt experience poor attitude examiner and staff here are rude and just chatting gossiping. They passed who they like to passed. Unorganized and unprofessional, washroom is soo dirty.
The drivers examiner (No.541) who is an older woman is a nightmare. I went through with my first attempt at my g2 license and was asked to drive exactly 50km in a 50 max... only problem is that it was on an unplowed/unsalted road. The drivers book, AND WEBSITE say "Appropriate use of speed given the conditions and situation". Taking that into consideration my "imeding traffic" by breaking early is trying to be predictable to others around me in inclimate driving conditions where sliding occurs. Not to mention asking people to parallel park into a snowbank is setting them up to fail. Aside from the elderly woman the other staff were helpful and friendly! AVOID 541 AT ALL COSTS
i wanted to personally write a review shouting out the drive test examiner Rob. he is by far the most patient, positive and good spirited drive test examiner i have ever met. he made such a stressful experience a lot less nerve wracking and really took his time with instructions and making sure i was comfortable as a driver. these centres need more instructors like you and more people need to have your positive attitude! this location was extremely polite and kind. thanks drive test Simcoe!
They say to show up roughly a half hour before your road test to sign in and all that, and I did. I sat and waited for the test person to come to my car for the designated time. I ended up being the very last person of the day at 4 o'clock, but I never actually drove anywhere until 4:30. It was quite annoying to have waited so long. For my actual test, nothing went wrong besides an issue that wasn't my fault. As I was pulling away from a stop sign into my lane (which was clear) a random driver happened to change lanes behind me as I was already in my lane. This driver never signaled their lane change and yet still honked at me (the person getting up to speed). My tester was clearly not observant of the other drivers mistake and failed me for cutting someone off, although it was the other driver who put themselves behind me while clearly going over the speed limit. Yup. I got failed for someone else breaking 2 driving laws. After having to wait 3 months to be failed for someone else's mistake, I highly recommend going somewhere else for a road test. Now I have to wait another long while for my next test and pay again. It was not worth my 50 dollars or my patience.

Would give it a fat zero if there was an option....Seriously Frick you guys for making us wait 3 hours and cancelling, there needs to be legal complaint on these people for false/over booking and not to mention the absolutely rude staff that they employ. Good luck to you if you book here, dont waste your time they are not qualified!
My instructor was fantastic very pleasant. Thank you Isabelle
I had a really great experience today! Went in for my G test. It wasn't busy at all. Was in, tested and out in an hour. The lady at the counter and my tester Amanda were both great and very helpful. The bathroom was kinda gross, but everything else was pleasant. Would definitely recommend this drive test center
I went yesterday which was Nov 8 2018 and I have to say my examiner Rick was a super nice guy really put my nerves at rest ( as much as they could be lol) . And the lady at the desk was super awesome as well. Thanks for the great service I will be back for my G2 exit.
I went when they reopen and they were great, they were nice and friendly. They were patient with me, I have a slight hearing loss and wearing a mask doesn't help. Very helpful!
I've had pretty good service at this location!
Was finally able to book my G road test today. Got an amazing examiner who apologized for the wait and was extremely kind! Much better experience than my G2 test I took in Brantford.
Amazing experience the examiner was very nice and polite. Go for test their for sure.
UNPROFESSIONALS and RACISTS. I would like to give them a minus points if possible. 2.7 rating is too high for these people. They cancelled my road test two hours before my scheduled timing. There should be a legal complaint on these people. I would like to sue these people for misleading me and wasting my day. I will complain to MTO about this drive centre. I wish this drive centre to shut down soon.
Been calling trying to book my g test. Not able to leave a message because they dont check them and delete them so mailbox is full. Clearly someone cant do their simple job.
Fast service but the test could be easier laugh out loud
Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, they need to fire a couple people and hire someone who actually knows how to help. Day 1: I went to the centre to change my license over from a different province, I was turned away because I didn't have my marriage certificate. I asked for her to write down EXACTLY what I needed for my next visit, she refused and sent me packing. Day 2: I come back with 4 pieces of ID and my marriage certificate. She won't accept my driver's physical that I got less than 6 months ago in BC (you couldn't have told me that last time?!) Day 3: Physical in HAND, I wait 1+ hours, get up there, camera isn't working, do they have a sign?! NO! Do they have a back up camera?! NO! I ask to speak with management and I am turned down, because well this has literally wasted 3 hours of drive time, gas, wear and tear on my car, and my own personal time when I could have been doing more important things, why don't you have your system modernized?! There are phones and cameras nowadays. Thanks for being an absolute waste of my time, I will NEVER be coming back to this centre, I'd rather drive to Hamilton.
Came by today to do my G test. The lady in the front I believe her name was Monique was very nice and helpful and Rhonda conducted my test who was also extremely nice
Great
Worst driving test experience I have ever endured. The proctors don't pay attention to your driving, are unpleasant and generally rude. Avoid taking any test here if you want to avoid being evaluated by shadey unprofessionals.
Every fast and friendly service
The wait times are insane. They tried to have someone navigate people and appointments but not all things are by booked appointment. I waited 2 hours to change a territorial license back to an Ontario license. This was ridiculous. They should move everything to booked appointments. One person can not do all this and walk ins as well.
I failed my G2 test in Brantford 4 times, no joke. It's not that I'm a bad driver. I had a grumpy instructor every single time, not to mention I had the same one twice which was nerve wracking for me. So, I decided to book in Simcoe and passed the first time! Don't waste your time waiting forever and a day in Brantford. Simcoe gets it done quickly and right the first time! If you fail here, it's just because you need more practice. I think all the bad reviews should rethink their review, because it's not going to be any better else where.
The town is nice, Roads are not tricky. My instructor was Isabelle and she was very kind, polite and professional, gave proper instructions and was calm during test. All in all the experience was great
If you get an older woman prepare for her to be condescending and fail you. -10/10 absolute trash service
I wasn’t even upset that i failed my g2.... BUT i believe the driving instructor her name was amanda? So rude!!! she didn’t make me feel comfortable AT All, she was telling me to do stuff at the last minute, no emotion WHAT SO EVER, & just one rude lady
Everyone here is great besides Mike. Someone teach that man how to behave.
