Don't go to this school. They claim to be caring and stuff, but they aren't. They only care if you put money in their pockets. They don't care about students with mental illnesses. Kids with anxiety are treated with disrespect. Kids with depression may be listened to, if you're lucky. Teachers are racist, lazy, disrespectful, and awful. They don't care about you. They care about their paychecks and whether you pass or not. My friend there was exposed to a racist teacher there and they were too afraid to do anything. If you're lucky like I was, you'll get a good teacher.
The food in the cafeteria is overpriced. For example, a Snapple there is $5 but a Snapple at the pharmacy at Carlton Plaza is $1. The lunch has increased by 25 cents and that's it, and it's now $5.75. You get a small lunch that barely fills you up, one drink and never any more than that, and you have to pay to get more food if that little bit of food you get from the special doesn't help.
My friend told me that his friend got kicked out of one of her classes because she had a complaint. The teachers are very inconsiderate towards even the most healthiest of students. It doesn't matter if you are poor, they will treat you like garbage. It's a mental roller coaster for 4 or more years of your term there. The councillors do things for you, if you're lucky.
I would not recommend this school because it is not good. It gives school a bad name. Even the most obscure elementary has more tolerance than this school.
If you are white, rich, and with no mental illness of any kind, you are free to go and attend as much as you like without getting bothered. But if you are of any colour, poor, and do have mental illness, you are not welcome there and you will suffer.
- sincerely, a former student.
