Not a good experience. I am not the kind who gives google review at all but for this one Im going to have to do it. Dont send your adolescents here parents (If you love them) In the school's residence, no one will be supervising, girls literally live with boys and they carry keys for both residences. So, if your daughter/sun is a virgin, she might not be for too long in here (even though she/he is a minor) sex is very easy to get around with and alcohol and weed as well. There are no rules about smoking in the house and there are lots of students who smoke inside (not to mention fire hazards) The whole residence place is nasty! The school does not afford personnel to come clean the school residences, additionally the school does not go to supervise the residences (I was there for at least 3 months and no-one ever came) There is no quiet hour, and students party whenever they want in the school residence, it is not a place for studying. Also the residence is actually 2 small houses so imagine a party in there, there is no place to study. There is no psychological services. The school's residence is a mess, pay for a homestay. If your adolescents are on drugs, they won't receive any help to deal with those issues and if they are vulnerable to smoke there is a huge probability that they will end up smoking. There are 2 Chinese women on the administration (I don't want to say names) one is young and one is older, one is the viceprincipal and I don't know what the other one was supposed to do, they both look like they just care about the money, and they are VERY VERY rude oh and charge even 10$ for printing a transcript (you have to pay for the stupidest requests) The science teachers are not good, they literally don't give lessons, students are expected to study on their own and ask questions if they have, there is only one math teacher that was new when I got there and she was excellent (she mights have already left), but other than that your kids will need to know how to study by themselves (if they are into science) to pass the tests and get in university. The teachers for Humanities are not so bad. Also, notice that the google reviews bellow, don't explain positive aspects (only 2 do and are coming from 2 asian individuals which could be the same 2 Chinese women who run the school lol) If you have other options, don't take this one.

(Translated) My experience with MIA was fantastic! I attended the Winter ESL program. Everything was very well organized, starting with my arrival at the MIA residence, where I shared with girls from other countries. We cooked at home, and we also went out to dinner in a restaurant near the residence. After school activities WERE THE BEST, I got to know the most important places in Toronto, such as: Niagara Falls, Ontario Lake, Casa Loma Castle, CN Tower, Toronto Eaton Center, Yorkdale Mall, Air Canada Center (I attended a concert and matches of the NBA), Downtown Toronto, Old Toronto. And with respect to the ESL Program, their classes are very didactic, my teacher was Miss Shabana, who taught the classes with great patience, dynamism, and sympathy. The interaction in the classes is very good for us to get to know each other in various countries. Canada is a country known for its multiculturalism, and it should definitely be your next destination, and my recommendation is 100% with MIA, it is an excellent school, its programs are very complete. I am currently study in here and I'm really glad I found this school. It had brought me a lot of opportunities and it gave me the possibility of meeting incredible people. I am living in the residence which is a really comfortable place to live in and socialize at the same time. I deeply recommend it due to the excellent preparation of the teachers and workers in general, always bringing joy and passion in what they do.

It was a memorable high school time in MIA. Everyone here is sooooooo nice. Teachers support students all the time like me. I almost know every teacher and staff in MIA. Last year was an important year for me to get into the university. The encouragement from teachers really pushed me forward. Thank you to my parents for choosing this high school for me and create an amazing 2017 right here. For academic study, I learned a lot and payed all my effort to the study. Teachers supported and answered my questions patiently until I got them clear. And i finally got the utsg offer! I treasured my grade 12 here so much. So, I miss MIA when I start my university life. I suppose if students study hard and love to join various activities, MIA is the best choice for everyone! Again, miss lovely teachers and cute friends there;)

I really appreciate for being a graduated student from MIA. In here, I always feel like I am in a big family. Teachers and principals treat us like their best friends, supporting and caring about every student. Last year was really important and meaningful for all of the graduated student in 2017. Every teacher tried their best to answer everyone’s questions and encourage them to reach their goals. For me, I have been always talked to teachers about my future university life, and they shared a lot their treasurable experiences of how to get used to university life, that really helped me a lot. Because MIA is a cozy international high school, teachers and students held lots of events, celebrating festivals from different countries. MIA students are not only learning knowledge in here, but also learning and enjoying cultures from different countries! Love MIA!????
