My family has had a relationship with the college for 33 or 35 years. My mother started out working here in the bookstore when I was a little boy in elementary school. She liked the job. She changed positions and became the front desk clerk in the reception. She liked that job too. She loved the friends that she made at work. I attended NSCC as a student several years after high school. I took several courses and learned many things along the way but I only graduated from one program. There was a lot of personal tribunals in socialising that I was and still am going through that got in the way of my learning. The courses and instructors know what they are doing and are well managed, interdisciplinary like. Power Engineering Technology Class of 2006

Took my 2 year Power Engineering Technology course here. Staff are super friendly, instructors are very well experienced and helpful, and the school itself is clean, modern and easily laid out. Their response to COVID left a lot to be desired, however. They were very supportive of students, especially in the power engineering program, but covid related rules sometimes seemed arbitrary, and even ridiculous at times. This could be considered a positive to some, though.

The NSCC is one of my favourite orginazations in the province. The staff here, for the most part, do everything they can to help you. The gym could be a bit bigger, and their cafe needs better coffee, but other than that no complaints. Awesome friendly staff, nice building aesthetics, flexible teaching staff. Shoutout to Justin Grout, the certified welding instructor, he's the bomb.

I was taking a first aid course and stopped in the cafeteria for lunch. The food was very good, large portions and very reasonably priced. There are a variety of foods for all tastes and a more upscale restaurant on campus.
