The School makes me want to kill myself, you don't learn anything, hate the teaching methods (yet again it's the same all around Canada but still) students will not learn anything with this kind of old school teaching methods. fix yourselves, and get a new system to teach the kids. We study for a test, and forget about what we studied a week later, the stuff we learn are completely useless, we don't know the laws, human rights, or anything, instead we got Shakespeare in our head, and skins cells etc. Please, I would love to learn, but not pointless stuff that will not help with my future what so ever. - All the students

i studied at this high school the staff are welcoming and kind. hallways are not that packed they have a big cafeteria and a awesome stage and there music instrument are cool and i would recommend to attend this school because they invite cool people and they are happy, spiritual (i don't mean ritual and black magic) and passion in there school they also have awesome and funny assemblies.

This school used to be much better when I was younger. My wife used to be a social worker and had many students coming with complaints from this school. I was shocked to hear the fact there are gangs in the school, armed with hidden knives. A lot of crime, theft, bullying, nationalism, favoritism, drug abuse, and much more happens in this school. It is so bad to the point there is a police officer who is always there on duty in his own office. People I know who transferred to other schools got much higher marks on the spot. I don't know whether it's the area transformation, immigration, or poverty that hit this school and it's area and ruined it. I would never send my kids to this hole, unless I want them to suicide like many students in this school have already attempted.

The student's demographic is hugely diverse with the majority of students are internationals and newcomers. The teachers and staffs are super friendly and helpful. What I love about the school is they have wide range of activities, dance club, music, swimming, etc. and definitely cannot miss the breakfast buffet every Tuesday morning which I kinda remembered. I highly recommend for international students in North York area to consider this school.

My kids went to 3 different high schools. I found the staff in Newtonbrook to be the most accommodating, considerate and compassionate with no connection to whom the principal is. Right now they have a very good principal who's doing a lot for the students as far as academics and different renovations to the building. There is a swim team, a dance team, a running team and probably more. I'm happy I sent my child there.

I've had a lot of good experiences on this school. As a former student , I highly recommend for you guys to enroll in here. The teachers, faculty staff, school staffs are approachable and friendly. So whenever you have any difficulty in your subjects or personal matters, they're easily to talk to and comfortable to be with. You know the feeling like it feels way more like home rather than school.

Newtonbrook has a great social environment, great staff and most importantly teaches you how to be independent. My Daughter came from Catholic School to Public School ( which is newtonbrook ), At first my husband and I wasn't happy with her decision especially It's a 20 mins drive but we thought we should give it a try. After 3 months, She became more Independent, met a lot of brilliant friends, got higher marks and developed self discipline. I read the comments from months and years ago keep that in mind, a lot of things has changed and i believe there's always a room for an improvement. There wasn't any gangs in these school, It's actually very quite. If you're thinking of moving into these school, I think you should give it a try. at the end of the day, you are in charge of how you feel. this doesn't just count for high school, but for every single day of your life as...you. if you want to have a good experience, it starts with your mindset and your attitude. go chase your dreams and follow your heart always
