Mountainside is one of the most important schools for someone who deals with mental health issues, addictions, or anything school related. The warm and incredible staff here helped me and surrounded me with so much love and kindness. Alternative schools have a certain stigma about the students, but most of the students I graduated with and studied with were one of the hardest working students I ever met. The way you display yourself does not change the way they teachers treat you. They all treat you with respect and maturity. They don’t treat you like a child. One of the best teachers at Mountainside HAS to be Ian from digital media! Try to take any photography or digital media courses with him! He’s literally the best human ever! And the students are all laid back and living it up! I made some incredible friends here, so don’t be shy and just open up! :)

Very great school, amazing support system with cool classes, teachers, and peers who you could only wish for in a normal high school. Definitely a good place to walk your dogs as well, the only thing you need to be careful about though are the kids who use the smoke pit (white tent where you can smoke cigs and vape) as a way to smuggle in drugs and weed
