I would not recommend this school if your child has ADHD or another learning disability. While the Principal handles things well, he is only ONE person and has a lot of unique children to take care of. I worry that many are slipping through the cracks. It appears there is not nearly enough support for neurodiverse children here. Student Support Plans are created but not followed, student autonomy & self advocacy is not encouraged, and teachers are not informed on how children with ADHD learn. It was apparent to me that my son was frequently compared to the other more neurotypical children in his class.. and would come home completely defeated for not being able to learn the same as the other students... he went into the school in Grade two with incredible confidence... and left with it so very diminished. I'm sure this school is wonderful for students who can fall in line and follow orders, but for you other parents with bright & different children... I would highly recommend doing your research and finding a place where your child can flourish, have faith in the education system, have a strong trusting relationship with their educators... and not leave with all that shot.
