IDF Krav Maga school is such an excellent tool for life. Omri not only teaches me effective self defence but also how to expand our minds and grow self-belief. I have learned a great deal so far in my short journey with Omri and can’t wait to see where this takes me. This is a great place to foster and learn about your warrior spirit with a group of incredible individuals.

I am a physician, but also I am no spring chicken in that I am 68y old. I have been doing this for 1 month only, but cannot speak highly enough of the training and the teacher and my fellow participants. This is real self defence. It is also a phenomenal work out and the teacher is the genuine item in that he always pushes you all to your limits, but he demonstrates the correct techniques until you have the opportunity to acquire muscle memory.. The other attendees are a mixed bunch age wise, but are a special group of people for whom I have developed a lot of respect. I look forward to the classes with anticipation and at times apprehension, but always leave afterwards feeling I have achieved another milestone. I would recommend this class and training to everybody, whatever age and gender, and please give this a chance as you will never regret your choice and will feel better for the effort that you invest in this lifestyle. I personally wish to thank the club for giving me a new outlook on growing older.

IDF Krav Maga and it's instructor (Omri) is very adept in teaching an effective hand to hand style of self-defense and/or combat system. With its well delivered and easy to follow instruction, I truly felt like I was participating in a real life situation and was learning something that felt as though I had a level, or sense, of control. If you are wanting to build confidence as well as athleticism for of the purpose of your own personal defense, then I unquestionably recommend IDF Krav Maga. I've been involved in martial arts most of my life and I have travelled all over to experience different combat systems. In ALL my travels, studies, and passion for martial arts and other fighting techniques, I have found two seperate systems for "REAL LIFE" self-defense, and I believe that this is one of the most effective in the world, in my opinion. Furthermore they are right here in our own backyard of Vancouver Island's midpoint, Nanaimo. I thoroughly enjoyed IDF Krav Maga from the very first night. The class wasn't too big, the students were helpful and encouraging, and the instructor was engaging and informative. I will definitely be going back weekly!! Michael Mercer

I'm considering myself fortunate to have access to this high level of Krav Maga training here in the Mid-Island region. The sessions are incredibly well taught and organized and as a result one can feel improvement of his/her skills every single week. Omri Serper is extremely knowledgable and genuinely committed to his students' success. If you want to learn real Krav Maga and with it the most effective self defense on the planet, then I absolutely recommend Omri Serper and IDF Krav Maga school.

I've done both group and private lessons with IDF Krav Maga school's head instructor, Omri Serper, and thoroughly enjoyed both. The group lessons were great for the diversity of training and for getting exposure to more advanced level work, which was really fun. The fitness portion is always tough, not just physically but mentally and, unlike fitness classes I've taken at gyms, I loved it. The workout was very strenuous but I felt very confident in Omri's experience and it was just enough to be very challenging without being dangerous (I had some physical issues and they modified the fitness activities to suit me and it actually improved my condition). The 1-1 sessions are where my skill level really improved as I had personal attention to every technique; learning to do it properly and being able to practice it with an expert. Omri was able to correct my mistakes immediately and provide me with explanations as to why my technique was wrong and how to correct it myself and then perfect it. The extra attention of the 1-1 sessions made a big difference in the learning curve and was worth the extra money. I feel very confident in my ability to defend myself and my family, if I ever needed to, and actually believe that this confidence makes the likelihood of my being a victim less. Omri's style is very no nonsense and tough but professional and I know I am learning from an expert who is looking out for me. As someone who hated to work out, I was really surprised by how much fun IDF Krav Maga is and find myself practicing and wanting to train all the time. I also really appreciated the fact that I was learning IDF Krav Maga from an Israeli who was certified by the Israeli Defence Forces .

Excellent, effective and efficient self defense is taught at this school. Fitness is also worked on, and is very helpful with regards to the the self defense aspect. This is also the only other self defense place that taught mental toughness and endurance. Overall amazing place and best one for real self defense I've been to .

I have learned a lot in a short 5 months at IDF Krav Maga. Coming from no self defence experience I have the confidence to defend myself in the event of an altercation. Working on the body and the mind has expanded as to how much I can handle in a stressful situation. Omri instructs a great warm up and gives sound advise for self care. If you have any limitations, (which I do) Omri goes above and beyond to adjust your training. Also lots of laughs. Highly recommend!!
