I would not recommend this school. They do not include dermaplaning, eyelash extensions, or other critical extra lessons in their Medical Esthetics program. You have to pay extra for weekend courses, and there are no promises if they will offer them as it depends on how much interest they have.
Other local schools include all of those and have more machines such as Oxygeneo, etc.
The interviewer was more concerned about what I currently do for work instead of where I plan to go with medical esthetics, and when I asked for information on the cost of the course, I was told that it “wasn’t ready” and have to wait for an email. Which I never received.
Class sizes are 18 to one teacher; if more than 18 students, they add another teacher. Other schools split classes into groups of 10-12 students per teacher for more in-depth learning.
I was also told they would not give me an acceptance letter unless I decided I wanted to go to that school over others. Other schools I interviewed for were much more welcoming and gave me acceptance letters the same day.
I got the feeling that Jon Raymond is run with a prove to us you deserve to go to school here mentality vs welcoming and wanting diversity and inclusiveness in their students.
Essentially, I was paying with private funds as I already have a very successful job but always wanted to do medical esthetics on top of my self-employment, so it was essential to find a school that was welcoming and included the best education possible. Jon Raymond did not fit that bill.
