Horrible school. Does not prepare students for post-secondary education. The majority of teachers did not have a solid understanding of what they were supposed to be teaching.

One of the worst schools I have been to in my life. Grade 9 and Senior year! Teachers have MAJOR favoritism! Asking for help was very hard! I do give an exception to 3 teachers out of 14 teachers! The secretary is rude! Guidance counselors are not really nice, at least the ones I met? The people who work in the office, oh my! Idk why they yell! And plus, make you wait while they “go for lunch” when asked for a transcript ? Kids at this school are rarely friendly! They don’t really accept new students to join their squad. And harder on freshmen!

*Edited with minor changes, now with 50% less bias* [If you are looking for review on just the school and not my rambling on school system and school recommendation just read the 3rd blob] It's not the schools fault per say for any of its "unpleasant" aspects, there will always be issues that needs fixing. The school to be frank is respectable, most if not all teachers are nice and understanding. I see bullying as no issue unless one chooses to be involved, then again shunning does occur and gossip per usual. The public school education cannot be flexible enough to meet the all needs of the students because of the way it is standardized. If you are in middle school and deciding on a high school, I always will recommend the IB, IBT, SciTech, and other programs that are offered for those who are intellectually or talent wise stronger. The society and environment of those programs are much better for certain individuals due to the mindsets and ideology. The environment will motivate and force you to do better due to the way it is setup. Although truthfully. there is no huge advantages gain, as long as hard work is put forth same rewards will be given. The school makes no difference, it's you that decide the results of your future. It's up to you to do the work not the school. Summary rating out of 10: student society = 7 , teachers/staff members = 8 (trust me there are awesome teachers/staffs here, would give shout outs but the list would be too long), food= 3 (price too high), building = 7 (not bad just need a/c), technology = 8 (satisfies all needs, except graphic arts), rule enforcement = ? (really does vary), lastly clubs and activities = 9 (a lot of clubs, and teachers willing to help you start a club that you want). Additional words/ conclusion: *insert cliche you create ur own path inspiration quote here* Hope you enjoy Erindale! I sure did I did give a shout to who I think is the hardest working teacher in the school Oh yeah, special thanks to the principal for finally addressing the missing soup in boys washroom issue, and please please please don't mess with the schools washroom, we all hate walking to the third floor for a working one.

So, a lot of people have said they don't like Erindale just because there aren't any "hot" guys/girls but...who cares?? You're going to school to learn and get an education, not search for your "soulmate" Also, yeah sure not all teachers are the best but maybe if you'd actually do the work they assigned and listen to them they would be nicer. Lastly, Erindale is a wonderful, and very inclusive school! Lot's of different people and cultures! Even though a lot of those reviews are old I think it was very rude of those people to say those things because all in all, Erindale is one of the best high schools in Peel Region. :)

Erindale is what you make of it. . I came from a non-feeder school and started from scratch. Not knowing any other students, I had only the limited insight of what to expect of high school from my older sisters. However, right from ninth grade orientation I felt the community, school spirit and character of Erindale. From there it sparked me getting involved. I joined Cross Country and we were 2 time ROPSSA champions in 2012 and 2014. I made the boys hockey team and became team captain my final year I later joined Student Council and was elected Co-President of Erindale High school is what you make of it and Erindale is a place for of opportunities to find your potential

I agree with madi. Every time i drive by the school or am reminded of it I get ptsd too. Absolutely awful place to spend your teenage years. I wish I went some where else.

I don't understand why people keep saying this school is bad... It's actually pretty great, all the admin are super nice and welcoming, the students are all nice, it has an overall warm & positive environment, it's diverse, the grade averages are not low- they're pretty great, the classrooms are well equipped, there are a lot of fun events, and as someone who's been in student council here- you can tell they really care about the students and making them happy/comfortable. One down side is that the cafeteria food is slightly over-priced, but there is a variety of food and snacks to chose from.

The ib program is good at this school. The averages for math and science courses are also very high and students from this high school get accepted in to prestigious programs Waterloo and McMaster engineering McMaster health sci u name it buddy. They also do really well in university. It's not like the school was easy so averages were high. there are amazing teachers for math phy chem and bio. Especially grade 12 math you are in good hands no matter who u get. Ms Downer Mr ott are amazing chem teachers. Mr.Manickam very hard but amazing phy teacher. The society is also very inclusive like probably most inclusive.like I would know trust me. If u don't do your homework obviously your not gonna do well so don't blame the teacher.

I don't know why a lot of individuals who attend Erindale are constantly complaining about it. It's ridiculous when considering some of the dissent is due to there not being any "hot" girls or guys in the institution. Sure there's numerous flaws to the way it's run, but compared to a person living in a third world country who longs for an education and future they will probably never have, it's idyllic. The change we wish to see in the school starts with us, and only when we put an honest effort into making this a reality, will this ever happen.

Erindale has actually gotten better since the principal retired. Everything seems more organized and straight forward. Some teachers are nice and not so much to the others. Also, a small quantity of teachers will give you no respect if you do not get the mark they expect of you. The 'caferican' place thing has some good rules now. Overall, everything seems to be better since the arrival of the new principal. Hopefully the little flaws the school has can be fixed.
