How do I begin to thank you, Amina, for creating such an amazing tour to Uganda. It exceeded all of my expectations. Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamed about visiting Africa. Everything I imagined became real. It felt like this tour had been created just for me!
An added bonus to this tour involved the training of young women in the art of photography. Over those three training days with the girls, I also learned a lot. Amina is very passionate about what she does. Her training method was very easy to understand. I watched and listened, as did the 16 woman who participated in this amazing opportunity. There was plenty of hands-on time as well. We had the opportunity to take photos while walking through a nearby slum. We practiced taking photos of children, families and the homes and surroundings they lived in. It was a wonderful opportunity to use what had been taught in the training. As well, every morning Amina took the time to go through the student's photos she had chosen to talk about. It certainly helped each student see how they were doing. At the end of the three-day training, each student received a certificate and a donated camera as well as future training on how to edit photos.
As for the rest of our trip, it was an amazing journey through a beautiful country.
