This place is literally my second home. I count down the days until I can come again. The staff are all super friendly, caring, and sweet. The food is so good, just thinking about camp food sends me into a food coma. All the girls are supportive and amazing - every year the girls in my cabin start out as my friends and end as my sisters. The atmosphere here is truly unique. The riding is phenomenal. They split everyone into different riding groups based on abilities. The advanced groups will work on their equitation, some dressage, and of course, jump! Beginners also have fun. At the end of 2 weeks, total beginners were able to trot, canter, and jump x-rails! Trails and hunter ring are so much fun, and cross country is so exhilarating. You can learn to play guitar, make crafts, do archery, swim, play sports, etc during activity time. Evening activities are also a highlight of camp. The whole camp participates in giant scavenger hunts, take part in talent shows and plays, game shows, as well as everyone's favourite, army crawling through the barn area trying to make it across without being caught! I've been to 2 other overnight riding camps before Saddlewood and they really do not come close to being anywhere as good. International Campers come here too! This year girls from France, Singapore, Mexico, Hong Kong, and the states among others came. Saddlewood is really heaven on earth and you will not regret coming here!

Great staff with an obvious passion for horses and teaching. Very clean stables. Large number of horses. Classes at all levels.

Rode at Saddlewood many, many years ago and still remember it as one of the best experiences growing up. Twilight was the best horse ever.

best camp ever!!!!! great horses, great food, and great counselors!

The only good thing about this place is the riding, you do learn a lot, but thats only for 2 hours of your day. The afternoon activites are awful. Almost all of the archery bows were broken beyond repair. All of the guitars had at least one string broken, and the Counsellor running the activity didn't even teach us how to play and just sat there using her phone. We never used the tennis court once during the session either. I got food poisoning twice from eating the food, and it ended up in me being not be able to ride for 3 days. The cabins are disgusting and EXTREMELY hot. I woke up sweating almost every night, and I even found a dead moth under my bed. At the end of the session, they make the campers clean the room. We had to sweep the floors and wipe down the counters like we were maids. The most atrocious thing about the camp had to be my counsellor, Sarah. She picked favourites and was rude beyond words. She didn't care about anything, was constantly using her phone, and sweared a lot. She once went off on me because I didn't say please during Dinner. She would literally insult me, telling me to shut up and that I was being annoying. She told another girl in my cabin that she wished that she would leave camp early so she wouldn't need to see her face ever again. I was honestly appalled by her behaviour and how someone that is in university and is supposed to be our role model, could act so disgusting and childish. I was honestly so excited for this camp and tried so hard to like it, but my experience was honestly repulsive.
