My only "fond" memories of this place, were when I was in grades 9 - 10, after that it was pure hell for me. I became pregnant in my last semester of gr. 11 and was forced to miss my last exam. I had a doctor's note per school board regulations, explaining why I was to stay home the following day, and instead, had a guidance councilor come to my home and demand I go to school. After I refused, we had a meeting weeks later, where she told me I had been expelled but never produced any official letter from Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board to confirm this. Some of my teachers were amazing but I found many were quite racist when they saw me with my boyfriend who was black. While other students were allowed to hold hands, cuddle, kiss, hug, etc, my boyfriend and I weren't even allowed in the same room such as the Guidance Room. I was once a proud Phoenix but now...could care less about this place.

Loved the school while I was attending but was saddened when I was kicked out due to being pregnant. Found that only certain teachers were friendly while others seemed to not want to be there.
