Mike is a very knowledgeable and courteous employee who works at this location. He's always super sweet to my 4 year old daughter and 2 year son who often have to come with me on my visits. He's always made it a special experience for them, and our entire family! I always feel like Mike and the rest of the crew are willing to go the extra mile to ensure I get what I came for, or ensure that they can order it and have it for me in a jiffy. I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place or it's staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Walked in to L&M as a complete rookie to music with the goal of purchasing a guitar found on their website. Was looking at a more expensive model originally but after speaking with a very helpful sales associate was directed to a less costly model that was not only a better instrument for me overall but they took the time to show me why it was. Walked out well equipped for a great price. Another staff member has assisted me well twice since the purchase with technical issues that I could not figure out myself - no charge for either adjustment and within minutes of me walking in to their store. Can't say anything but good things about the folks at Long and McQuade in Fredericton NB!

I go into this store frequently hoping to see something good. Their left handed stock is comprised of 1 cheap simon and patrick acoustic that has the same strings it had when I first moved here a year ago, and some combination of a cheap bullet strat, classic vibe telecaster, cheap epiphone sg, and one time they had a MIM fender strat. I shouldn't get excited to see one MIM strat when I walk into a music store. Their selection of picks is very limited and strings are a bit pricey. I don't know if I've ever spent money in this store even though I check at least weekly trying to.

Took my mint SG in to get setup professionally which was in mint shape. While it was being worked on it was accidently dropped or banged whatever happened. I was contacted with "good and bad news". At the end of the day they made it right with replacing the guitar with a new one off the shelf same model. Were all human, it will more than likely be a write off for the company I'm guessing, I don't knock the member who worked on it, as I'm sure it was an accident and I'm sure he probably beat himself up enough. At the end of the day they made it right, and I was happy. They were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Hopefully this never happens to anyone else. And maybe the workspace could be improved in some way to prevent this from happening in the future. 5/5 for being honest, helpful, and having integrity.

I feel most indebted to this location as somehow I have ended up with 3 free picks along with a restringing of a Balalaika. They also recommended me a luthier who does work for very very cheap. Otherwise they have a very polite and knowledgable staff.

Great selection of guitars, acoustic and electric, and any accessories you might need. They also have a great range of prices/quality too, so whether you're looking for a cheap instrument or an expensive one, they'll have a great selection for you. They have great prices also! Sadly their bass selection is pretty limited with very few basses to try out and even few bass varieties (I've never seen them carry a fretless bass for instance) but that's probably to be expected :(

I've always had great experiences with everyone at L&M in Fredericton. I recently traded in a Higher end acoustic guitar and older Fender amp for some new toys (Gibson acoustic matched up with a gorgeous Fender Acoustic amp). Eric helped me with the Trade-In price which was very fair and also helped save the HST towards the new guitar. Graeme (Manager) was also helpful in making sure my experience was great! Good job guys!

Staff are very friendly and quick to help as soon as you walk in the door, however this is the third year in a row I have tried to rent equipment from L&M for an event, and the third year that I was either sent off without everything I had ordered, or pieces of the equipment were not working. Very inconvenient and I will be renting from somewhere else next year.
