The day I took this photo was December 27th, 2019. The slides walks as I refer them to, and roads were difficult and dangerous to navigate. My destination that day was a round trip from Willoughby Rd. to the Collins Hall and safely back. As I gingerly and partly gliding and sliding down Roman St. there lied in front of me a park with an untouched white blanket of snow, surely I can’t slip, slide, or rock and roll. I decided then to traverse this terrain, however I certainly didn’t anticipate the deepness of the snow. As a slowly marched and stumbled through the white blanket, serendipity found me in the form of the setting of this bench. Great a perfect venue to rest after I make my journey pass the school through the trail while following the newly minted rabbit paws landing on Hirshhorn St. with a frozen bee line to Collins Hall. Now it’s time to journey back and as I promised to myself there in my view was the bench. I took the photo and approached the snow filled and encased in ice bench bent down gathered a couple of fallen pine boughs and placed them on the bench, sat down and made some hot buns. Serenity at last, which is the journey and the sole purpose of the journey because I always end up at a bench or rock ledge or just walking through my adopted town. I’m departing the bench and I will float a little above the slide walks and hockey rink roads. Thank you, once again nature, for allowing me to be in the moment and what a moment it was and like nature and the bench it’s for everyone to share. Too a Loo for now, Marc.
