They failed with my daughter's education. I told them from day one of kindergarten she was special. As they all are. That teacher and the ones to follow to grade 11 did not have the ability to support or motivate her. Their responses to my communication with them was taken lightly and disregarded. She was well liked by students, was operating on an adult level of maturity at a very early age and very well behaved. Eventually she dropped out. She was above the process of grading on a scale when many students are favored regardless of how bad they should be graded. She is now top of sales in her field dealing with a wide range of customers in her early twenties. The company has looked past her lack of a high school diploma. These teachers were the worst. I dealt with enough of the personal issues they brought to school.

This school is severely underfunded and most teachers are not very attentive to a students needs. The fees that are expected of parents are borderline ridiculous, and a huge emphasis is placed on anything sports related while other extra curricular activities are all but ignored. I would not EVER elect to send my own children to Southwood.

The facilities in the school are awesome. They also offer an exception "extra needs" class. It's sad that the life skills class will not be returning.
