Best highschool in town.

This school was great to me. The arts are a great place to be, and I suggest majoring in them. Or, just simply doing one of the many extra curriculars that GCI offers. Along with many clubs. This school is probably one of the coolest looking schools in Ontario, and I'm proud to have been here for my limited time at GCI. The teachers are great, and so are the staff, especially cafeteria staff. (however the food Is pre-heated food). The cafeteria is often busy, so I avoid that general area. There are many surrounding shops for food, (timmies, starbucks, subway, dairy Queen.) This place was a safe haven, and I couldn't have asked for more.

My kids attend this school and they like it very much there. Just the architecture and the feeling of being in one of the oldest school sin Ontario is sufficient to call it an amazing experience. It's Hogwarts.. :)

This is literally the best school that I went to. The teachers are like the most kind thing in the life especially the Phez ed one ;) And the staff are amazingly helpful. And the guidance counselors/principles/vice principles/Etc that are very very cool people. So simply Cool looking school + best people + kind students and voila.. Its GCI! Thank you (THIS MESSAGE IS TIMED WITH THE PANDEMIC)

I went to highschool here. Wish i could go back. Its great. I met teachers that i still talk to today. (10 years later). They are great people working to bring a higher level of education to the children. The VP was a bit of a power tripper when i went, but theres no real problem with him. Aside from the teachers i had, the place is beautiful. I mean, who else can say they went to hogwarts for highschool? The only complaint i have about the building, is that some idiot architect took this beautifull old castle, an put an ugly old box on it, and called it an addotion.

I went here for a year and it was literally the worst experience of my life. The students are rude and are disconnected, the teachers do nothing, and I never learned anything from year 9, by this, i failed 2 classes and they blamed it on me. ruined my school years

It's lovely. Everyone's pretty nice and the outside is amazing. There's no a.c, which is a bummer in the summer, but other than that it's pretty cool.

Lovely architecture, as everyone else has pointed out. Very diverse, because it’s a combination school you meet kids of all different backgrounds, classes, experiences etc. Despite some very minor cliques, the school had very little bullying and exclusion from my experience due to this exact reason. The amount of extracurriculars were overwhelming (though the money is very obviously poured into bands/sports) and the elective courses had some of the coolest options a I’ve seen at a high school. My media class pushed me to go into the media industry. The school unfortunately needs a lot more money to keep up with the buildings expenses but they do well with what they get. Some of the teachers I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but that happens at every school. Overall very good, a lot of land, MSIP is a lifesaver for exams, and close to many places for students to spend during spares and lunch.

As a grade 10 student at GCI I thought some of the Teachers didn't set a good example with their behaviour. There was obviously a lot of "fooling around" at lunch and other times. Do your cheating on your own time'!!

I went here for a while and can I just say that it is absolutely the worst school in the district. The kids are so rude and the staff is mean especially the front desk. I mean who do they think they are, I mean what kind of school is this? I'm very disappointed with my time wasted here and I'm much happier with my new school.
