Both our boys are at RMS Academy location and we cannot say enough good things about the school. The teachers are caring and compassionate and a true embodiment of what it means to be a teacher/ a guru. We have noticed our boys growing, both academically and socially. There is a reason the school gets accolades year after year.

My daughter is in her sixth year at one of RMS satellite campus. She started in their toddler program and is now in grade 2. She's always had wonderful teachers and has always looked forward to going to school. The staff there always greets us with a smile, they take the time to discuss our daughter’s daily progress and the place is always so clean! If you are looking for an intimate, nurturing place to send your child, I would highly recommend RMS to any parent.

Both my sons attended the downtown campus. My oldest son was there for 3 years and my younger son was there for 1 year. Unfortunately we moved to Caledon. There are no words to describe what Rowntree has done for my children. As a teacher myself, I have done mounds of research on children development and the importance of building their confidence and love for learning during their formative years. Both my boys came to the school as painfully shy boys but by the time we left, my sons were doing solos at concerts! There are two areas I would like to review. 1) Child Development 2) Academic Development 1)The atmosphere in the school is incomparable to any other. The standards of the school are so high that any sign of bullying or behaviour is nipped. Both my boys love their classmates and have only loving comments to share about their classmates. Children can be mean because they don't know better. The teachers have have done a phenomenal job in creating an inclusive space. I also love that the students are expected to be independent and responsible. Helicopter parenting has done enough damage on our future generations and Rowntree is doing what it does best, "Nuturing Tomorrow Achievers". We've been to many places where parents have said that my boys share well or that they are well behaved. I take my children to social events with confidence because I know they have gain social confidence from school. They know how to share, they know how to wait their turn, they know how to deal with a situation when someone does not share pr when someone is mean. They have learned positive strategies to cope in social settings which has built their confidence significantly. 2) Both my husband and I are University graduates. We have high expectations. I also know that the human brain does not develop any quicker than it does during their early years. My expectations for academic learning is very high. Til this day, I cannot believe that I have found a school in Brampton that has met my standards and surpassed it. I have compared the curriculum to my nephew's who is in Singapore. Their workbooks are comparable. My son was reading "The Magic Tree House" series independently when he was 6 years old. And he was not the exception, every one of his classmates was doing that. They were working out of a grade 2 math workbook while in grade 1. I am mostly just amazed at how they have managed to nurture that love and excitement for learning. My boys genuinely want to read on their own because they are excited about what they are learning. I shared a video of their Christmas concert with my colleagues whose mouths dropped. They could not believe what these 3 and 6 year old children can do. I am a teacher myself and many days, I am amazed at what Rowntree does with my own children. I would highly recommend Rowntree Montessori to anyone! Mrs. Baldassarre at the downtown campus is a phenomenal leader who has the gift of being compassionate, caring and fun while setting boundaries that keep the with the standards of this #1 ranked private school in Brampton. Her leadership in the downtown campus has made the downtown campus a hidden gem.

Learning First!

I felt it imperative to update my review. My son has now been at Rowntree going on 3 years. It has been such a wonderful experience. He reads fluently, can do presentations, loves math, gets to engage in STEM activities consistently, has developed great friendships and loves all of his teachers. The staff is like extended family and Mrs. Horner is a true gem. The curriculum is advanced and they remain abreast of current pedagogical principles and practices. The majority of teachers are OCT certified and dedicated to student success. They are so efficient and organized. There is rarely ever... if ever any administrative confusion. This makes it so easy for parents to stay on top of their children's school life. There is always something going on at school that we barely feel the need to bombard or son with extra curricular activities. The tuition may be a bit steep but well worth it. Class sizes could be a bit smaller but overall is a great place to be. My son recently started attending RMS. The staff members are friendly, loving and attentive to the needs of my child and others. I am looking forward to his first year and I am already pleased with what he has learned in the summer program. Thank you!

Joined here in grade 5 and graduated in grade 8. Didn't regret a single moment going there. Getting the marks helped me get into the AP program in Campion. Keep up the good work!

The staff (teachers), administration and executives at Rowntree are quite simply the most professional, caring and understanding professionals and it has been my pleasure dealing with them for the past 7 years. The Academy is an elite school with a very strong and challenging curriculum that my wife and I have no doubt has and will set our daughters apart from their peers when they enter highschool and post secondary. The Academy has such high and demanding standards that my wife and I, as parents, are constantly amazed at how quickly our daughters are growing intellectually and laying the groundwork for them to become successful in the future. The school work, projects, assignments, science fairs and tests are all very challenging and competitive which undoubtedly has sped up the intellectual development of its students. My wife and I truly feel that this is the best school and we are extremely happy with school. Aside from the reasons given above, Rowntree is like an extension of your family, the children grow up together, play together and likely make friendships that will follow them throughout their lives. Rowntree is a small community that offers a very comforting feel where the administration and staff take the time to know you (as a parent) and will always say "Hi" when you walk in. It has and continues to be a very rewarding experience for our daughters and ourselves personally. I would highly recommend Rowntree to anyone who is considering the private school system.

Rowntree has one of the best nurturing environments in the Brampton Area. This, in turn, has caused them to have a high average (well above the national standard), which is simply amazing. They produce students that go on to do amazing things! The teachers are very good, especially Mr. Bertram, Mrs. Singh-Bowen, Mrs. Donoso, Mme. Mazur, and many more to name! The teachers are always there for you, they are frankly amazing. As the time has come for me to leave, as a Grade 8 graduate, it will be hard to leave this school. Many great memories here!

This is our second year with RMS. The admin and staff take the time to get to know each child along with their parents. The teachers are so caring, loving and supportive with each child on a learning bases and most importantly nurturing bases. When I drop off my little one I know he is in good hands!

Rowntree montessori is an awesome school. In the 6 short months we have been there I have seen tremendous academic and social progress in my son. The staff members are dedicated, friendly and super attentive to needs of the students. I can definitely recommend this school.

When we enrolled our then 3 year old daughter 4 years ago into the then SPS, now PKM program, we did so because we were disillusioned with what we perceived as a gradual deterioration of the public education system. We felt that rather than ensuring a macro environment of empowering all students, coupled with micro emphasis and care based on individual talents and abilities, the public school system was too distracted with ideological indoctrination, bureaucratic bickering and catering to the lowest common denominator. Like any other parents, we wanted our kids to have opportunities better than we did, so they can accomplish with those opportunities, more than we did. With this vision, we enrolled older one into RMS Central Park where she started on the very first school day after the new year holiday, in 2015. And we cannot say enough complimentary or laudatory things about her and our experience with RMS Central Park. Our older one was the first grandchild in her family (on either side), she came with tremendous potential, but also took a few months to blossom. From crying for the first 2.5 months, to falling in love with her teachers and then doing such a wonderful job at her first spring concert in May, 2015, it was so overwhelming and wonderful for us as parents to see. And then when emphasis on education drastically increased in Kindergarten, and she taking a few months to get into her groove; give you an example: I learnt spellings by rote and the threat of "discipline", and not by understanding the basics of sounds that match to letters or groupings of letters. So, relearning in order to help her practice at home, was very enriching, to the point where she really shone over the course of that year. Ms. Briggs did a wonderful job (she is the authority figure in a lot of pretend play at our house) and we personally really love Ms. Deguire as well - her passion for the kids and the rewarding of desirable behavior and traits and the disciplining of undesirable behaviors and traits. Ladies Ayala, Briggs and Deguire really helped us raise and nurture her, at that very important time, with their love, affection, teaching, discipline and care. Ms. Thawer to us really feels like extended family - I do not remember a night during Prep One, at bed time when Hanya did not bring up some story or incident about Ms. Thawer. Our older one just absolutely adores and cherishes Ms. Thawer. She excelled in developing her personality and also academically, she did excellently. Ms. Ivanyushin has also been wonderful in really encouraging our daughter to be her own individual, unique person in Grade 1. The conversations that we have at the dinner table or in the car, from and to school, sometimes boggle us - because the level of thought clarity, critical thinking in her seems ahead of her 6.5 years. The evolution of this phenomenon over the last one year tells us that Ms. I has had a key role to play in this. And Madame Del is just phenomenal - her amazing infectious optimism at all times, her energy - bringing out the creativity in Hanya and also helping our family have a French speaking member finally! We are so grateful to her for all these years of art, music and French. Ms. Penrice runs the school excellently, she has been so accommodating to us on numerous occasions and we truly feel we are collaborating together in bringing up Hanya and now Tosha. We love that excellence and respect are fundamental valuea of RMS. Respect for country, those that sacrifice for the country, respect for the individual, respect for our historical as well as recently integrated multicultural heritages are all appropriately promoted and embraced at RMS. We absolutely love that religion is kept out of the school at all time as are any other ideological biases. We personally love that RMS celebrates Christmas and not just winter holidays. Hopefully, with the grace of providence, we will be able to continue to live our intention of one day having both our daughters graduate from Grade 8 at the Academy campus.

I spent two years at Rowntree and it was such a good and fun experience. I have made so many memories at this school. The school has high quality teachers who care so much about their students. The education is very high quality and the teachers pour so much dedication, passion, and knowledge into their teaching. Rowntree has helped me to improve and grow stronger in my academics as it helped me to develop a strong work ethic. I started to get good grades thanks to the guidance of my teachers. The school is very organized and they do everything in their power to inform everyone of upcoming events. Rowntree also has many clubs, activities, and events so that students have fun and grow as people. My daughter came to this school in September from another private school (Applewood Montessori). The difference and level of education by far surpasses Applewood Montessori, there is no comparison. The attention, level of education and quality of teachers has left me very impressed. I am glad we came here. Love the sense of community and the amount of activities at RMS. I would definitely recommend this school to any one looking for quality private education.

The academic foundation they helped me build has allowed me to succeed not only in high school (IB Programme) but in university (aerospace engineering) as well! Best School Ever!!! Our son enjoys going to school every single day. He loves his school, all his teachers and friends. He is very passionate about his school projects. The school also provided a great successful online curriculum during the pandemic. The program kept the kids busy and happy with lots of online and offline activities. The staff are all welcoming and friendly from the time you enter the gates of the school . Both my children attend the school. The teachers and staff are excellent! My children are learning more than they did in public school and are excelling! It is an excellent academic environment. They learn robotics and french - which they never did before. I recommend it to everyone!

One of the best private schools. The focus is on the overall development of children and not just academics. The staff, students and the administration all of them are equally involved. Recently the school orchestrated Disney's Lion King jr and the results were outstanding. Kudos to everyone. Keep up the great work.
