Overall, I would not reccomend this company for a DJ service and the service provided was extremely dissapointing. We had our wedding at Mount Norquay and NRG music productions came highly recommended by the venue. The service that was provided was by an associate of Ken (the owner). Granted, we contracted his company to deliver us DJ services however we were under the impression that Ken would be the one to DJ at our wedding. However, we were not informed of the switch in DJ prior to the wedding. I am sure Ken is a talented DJ but we were not impressed by his associate, Ryan, or his disregard of our music desires. The DJ service was not what we expected. For what we paid, we expected to have song transitions, mixing, or beat matching - there was none of this. As well, the DJ didn't read the crowd and was playing songs from our "Do not play" playlist such as Cotton Eye Joe and the opening song for the night was Electric Avenue. He had a lack of understanding when it came to looking at the theme of what we wanted played. When approached about music requests he was rude and impatient. The music was also played way too loud. It was at the same level that you'd expect at cowboys, with the trying to yell into the ear of the person you are trying to talk with. He was approached about the volume multiple times from our guests including mother of the bride. When I (groom) approached Ryan to turn down the music down he replied with "I'm just trying to do my f**king job". When we emailed Ken to notify and discuss about our dissatisfaction the response that we received was defensive and unapologetic with no interest of resolution. To be completely honest, although it was a beautiful day we will quite frankly remember and regret our poor choice in DJ. Avoid at all cost.
