I found this store a little disappointing..My husband could not fit into any of the clothes. A sports store should also accomodate big and tall men.

I love Atmosphere and spend alot in this store on winter gear/winter sports gear for me & my family. I'm giving 3 stars because today I walked into Banff Atmosphere and asked, "What have you got for kids' hiking boot wear?" The sales guy yells at me: "NOTHING!" And proceeds just stare at us as we too shocked for words and walked out. I went next door to Northface who were super accommodating and turns out my kid needed an adult size. So they lost a sale for reasons I can't explain and I will tell everyone I know about this experience in Banff.

Megan was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the products we were looking for when we were in the store today. She was diligent on COVID restrictions while being positive and cheerful. I highly recommend this location!

I know nothing about camping stoves, do you think this team could stop walking around putting away inventory and give a guy some help? I was the only one upstairs. Not the first time this has happened. I got a hello on the way in and no good bye on the way out. And yes! I was noticed leaving! Making to much money I guess! Brutal! Was ready to spend lots of money!

Great place to shop for outdoor gear. I have bought a lot from this place recently and I am happy with all that I bought. With. All the good brands like Helly Hensen, McKinley, North Face and Colombia. I like to scroll around and find the best deals. Love the t-shirts and backpack I just got. Love it for the quality of what they are selling.

Got some para cord. It was a good store but my son was whinny and forced me to leave before I could funny enjoy my time in the store. Although I had to leave earlier than I wanted to and couldn’t complete the desired amount of shopping I had set out to complete, I had a good ish time. the staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. The products they carried were all very good quality and I would say worth the high cost.

waited to be helped & when we were, associate was extremely unhelpful and was not forth coming with recommendations. If I wasn’t in a hurry I would’ve gone somewhere else to make my purchase. Lacking customer service skills.

Was looking after an item and couldn't find it. So I asked an assistant. It sold out... ok. I still need the item but they didn't offered that they could order it or anything. Know what? You probably didn't want my money, I can spent it somewhere else!

We were in the Banff location on May 8 to exchange a gifted raincoat. I had an idea of what I was after and was not needing much assistance but everyone was very friendly and one gentleman in particular came by and chatted with my husband and I while I was trying jackets on. Patted our pup and asked if h could give him a treat too. Just incredibly friendly and then when there was a discrepancy at the register this guy went out of his way to help me out. He understood we were in a rush and was kind enough to save me a trip back to the store at a later date and ensure I got a great deal. As a customer service professional, I truly appreciated what he did and the service level he provided. It does not take a lot of extra effort to be a great human and he hit it out of the park. As a Bow Valley local I will be sure to share my experience with friends and encourage others to shop at this location versus waiting until they are in the city! Well done!

The customer service at this location is tremendous, much better than any other store located in Banff. To comment on the review earlier, they except all returns that have a proof of purchase (he did not have receipt) and usually with very little to no hassle. It's sad that someone just can't admit they're wrong. Otherwise, love the product, love the service, keep doing what you guys are doing!

I bought a pair of sunglasses here about 2 years ago, and have absolutely worn then to bits! They were cheep and a camo green color with words on the inside "Hi my name is hippie" if anyone knows the brand of these could you let me know- as they were stolen today :(

Friendly staff, lots of stock. I like that the shops are not marked up $$$ to grift tourists, everything seemed comparably priced compared to city stores. Bought a North Face waterproof jacket to avoid a downpour today.

Stumble upon this store after visiting the North Face Shop about 2 stalls away. Staff here are really helpful and gave value able advise to my partner who needed a pair of hiking shoes. Prices are great too, not very highly marked unlike the other above mentioned stall.

Best atmosphere in Canada. Hardworking staff, who actually know the product. It's a shame that there are so many ungrateful tourists that yell demands at the employees! The staff here knows what they are talking about, and the store is clearly run very well. I would recommend this as the outdoor store to go to in banff!

Unprofessional staff and poor customer service. I purchased a jacket that was marketed as waterproof and breathable, but within one week proved to be neither. Rude employees refused to accept a return on the item. Stores such as MEC and REI will accept returns of merchandise, especially substandard merchandise, with no questions asked, and at the very least, issue a store credit, but I suppose when the majority of your clients are from out of the area, you can adopt the attitude where you will gladly sell someone poor quality merchandise, knowing they will be leaving soon with little recourse when the merchandise fails.

Good selection . But sale signs are horribly worded and vague . Upon going to the till to find out the items picked out were not on sale we told the worker at the till and wanted clarification and we recieved a blank stare .. we weren't the only ones In the store having the same issues. Good job atmosphere.

My wife and I were looking at shoes. Only salesperson ignored us but was reasonably helpful when I asked for help. He ignored my wife totally when she tried several pairs of shoes off the shelf. Shame because the shoes and sales prices were quite good - 2 potential sales lost.

Atmosphere in Banff will surprise you. They have friendly staff, a shockingly good selection of technical and non-technical gear (want a full rack of the latest C4 cams? Some new ice axes? Quality camping gear? They'll hook you up), and they're great when you are headed out to the mountains and realize you forgot something crucial.

Good advice on the use of walking pooles. And it worked, happy with the “Komperdell” pooles.
