As you know, we do not usually bother to place reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Restaurant.
We shared the fish and chips and it was absolutely excellent! Service could be better but perhaps the young girl will get better with time. Get there early. The line starts as soon as they open.
Went twice in our vacation. Good fish and game burger. The second time I decided to take a desert, oh boy they are huge. Really good but could never finish it even being 2 on it. Would go back anytime. The only drawback is it closes in winter(I think)
Great food. Fantastic service in a fun atmosphere
I felt silly going there just for dessert, but I heard that one of the "must tries" when it came to local treats was this popular seasonal restaurant's "famous" Sourdough Bread Pudding ($9.95). I didn't need for them to tell me it's a "must-have exquisite delight" (quoted from the menu); all I had to do was read that it was a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and Yukon Jack caramel sauce. Oh yeah, I was so ready for it! -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
Great fun place in the summer only. Food was amazing, fresh, local. Service was good. Prices a bit high
Easily the best fish and chips I've had in awhile. The batter was perfect and the fish was cooked perfectly! My boyfriend got the Kickass Klondike burger and he thought it was unconventional but absolutely fantastic. We hope to return again soon to try some other menu items!
We love this restaurant! Generous portions, great food, super friendly staff!! A definite must if you are visiting Whitehorse.
Sooo goood! ????
Best restaurant in the north! Try everything on the menu, you can't go wrong (allergies allowing)!
Great food
We were lucky to get right in without a wait. Country fried steaks were good but the potato/ gravy was lacking flavor. Service was great. Poor selection of draft beer.
What nice restaurant and good food and friendly staff.
BEST FOOD IN WHITEHORSE!! I eat here every time I'm in whitehorse.
The Fish and Chips are the best in the North.
This place was my first introduction to food in whitehorse and boy did it hit the mark! The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly and attentive. This place is an absolute must if you are in whitehorse during the summer months.
very delicious. Also big quantities. Recommend
Awesome menu, fantastic service.
This place is a must. Best fish and chips I've ever had.
We had the Fish and Chips. Was really tasty! The service was fast and friendly. We come hear everytime we come to Whitehorse.
Excellent food...great atmosphere...awesome staff!
There's a reason there's ALWAYS a lineup to get a table here. Great northern cuisine in a really funky gold rush era building.
Excellent food!
Ate there in May headed to Alaska...wonderful experience. Decided to stop on our way out in August. Food was terrible. Halibut dry and tasteless. Husband's small bison sirloin was well done not the medium rare he ordered and all the waitress could say was "sorry about that". Our friends with us were also dissappointed in their meal.Halibut chowder was very good. A waste of $100. What happened between May and August?
Amazing!! Always excellent food and service!! No pictures of the food because I always eat it straight away!!
Portions are large and food is good. It's easy to see why it's so popular!
Looking a for a great local spot with lots of local flavour? Look no further. We enjoyed the bison steak and mashed potatoes which was delicious. Make sure to order medium rare for the best taste!
amazing
the best salmon and steak in the region. be on time because after 4 p.m. you will be waiting in line outside for a table. and that's because everyone wants to eat there
Classic Yukon restaurant to grab lunch or dinner from, big servings. Great atmosphere, great food, always a line (make a reservation).
Food is more than excellent best in town no doubt Incredible staff Its the place to heat !
(Translated) Great restaurant warm welcome and good food I recommend if you are in the area. (Original) Super restaurant accueil chaleureux et bonne nourriture je vous le recommande si vous passez dans le coin.
We were well cared for, the food (fish and chips; pulled pork) was great and the price was right.
We had an amazing experience, food was really great , service was ok. But overall it was great! Really liked their Salmon in skewers
Good food and friendly staff but expensive.
(Translated) we have eaten well is nice kisses michel and and martine (Original) nous avons bien manger est agréable bises michel et et martine

Great food, a little confusion about food arrival time. Would go again. Arctic char was great.
Dinner and we're glad we went a bit early. Shortly after arriving and being seated at an outside table, the place got packed and folks placed on a wait list. First time my wife tried Halibut and she loved it. Staff were very friendly and the prices reasonable.
Absolutely delicious! Got the salmon skewers and halibut chowder. Definitely go here of visiting Whitehorse!
A very popular spot in downtown Whitehorse, awesome selection of food including wild game.
Looks tacky on the outside. If you miss out dining here, you've lost an experience that needs to go on your bucket list.
Great place. Arctic char was awesome, good service and I even got the brownie dessert. Walked out of there with a food baby.
The food always gets top marks, as does the atmosphere. If you go for dinner and arrive after 4:30, be prepared for a wait of an hour or more.
Awesome fish and chips as usual
Amazing Fish & Chips
Great food and cool atmosphere.
The place has awsm vibe keeping its local face.. Loved my kickass Klondike burger with mix of Elk, Bizon and boar meat. Fries are done with love here which I appreciate as well. Thanks
Fun place, friendly staff, and great food! Priced right for Yukon.
Best burger ever
When I walked up, there was a line, which right away told me it would be good. This place did not disappoint. The customer service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. It was great to eat some local fare and enjoy some wild game as well.
Great place! The K.A. Klondike Burger may be the best burger I've had... Ever. Local brew on tap. We had a great server. She was awesome with our large group (which included kids). Everything I tried from the menu here was excellent.
Definitely a tourist trap, but it's a good one.
I enjoyed the delicious food and the view here
Such a fun and entertaining place, great staff and very creative food choices ????
Delicious food, great staff and amazing atmosphere. One of the best in Whitehorse, whole visiting. It’s not cheap, but absolutely worth it.
Halibut excellent, bison awesome. Dessert fabulous
We visited mid June Great staff - very attentive and apologetic wen they forgot something Lovely day to be in the outdoor area Food was fresh and we'd return
(Translated) Together very average, the quantity is not everything! Address without a doubt very overrated. (Original) Ensemble très moyen, la quantité ne fait pas tout ! Adresse sans aucun doute très surfaite.
The food is delicious (mmm, bannock) and take out was ready promptly. There was a small error with our meal so we phoned the restaurant and the manager was so kind and helpful without hesitation. We typically only eat here once or twice a year so we really appreciate the amazing service. Thank you KRS!
Very popular place where reservation was required. Food was delicious, however I ordered the elk stroganoff expecting wild elk, only to find out it was farmed. Otherwise, lots of great looking food on customers plates.
Not sure why this place is rated so high. The ribs were fine (good portion), but the halibut was not good at all. It was over cooked, strangely paired with brie, and tasteless rice and boiled vegetables. Disappointment for its price. The reviews are right - tourist trap. Our server was nice, but the food left us with a bad taste.
One of the best meals on the Alaska Highway. Wonderful fish and stew. Great staff. Place is full of character. Popular with the locals too.
Great food. I love the atmosphere and during on the deck. Fairly crowded, but to be expected with such a popular place.
This is a must do while in Whitehorse during summer season. Local craft beer, crab kakes starter, salmon dinner, and leave room for dessert!!! Be prepared for a wait
Amazing food, ambience, and kitschy, hipster-before-hipster-was-a-thing decor. The ribs are truly fall-of-the-bone marvellous and there's a variety of delicious sounding entrees and desserts. A must, must, must try for anyone visiting Whitehorse. The only downside is that they are open only half the year so check their website first. Don't book your tickets unless you can make a stop at the Klondike!
(Translated) Great food in an original atmosphere and super friendly service (Original) Super Essen in originellem Ambiente uns super freundlicher Bedienung
Amazing food and very cute decor and style, worth it!
Fabulous ! Worth every dollar and more.
Like much of the Yukon, service is friendly and laid-back, so don't visit here if you are in a hurry. But if you have plenty of time, enjoy friendly waitstaff, and tasty food, this is the place for you. Even though the ribs are 1/2 rack, the serving size was quite large (enough for lunch and dinner). They were tender, tasty, and had great sauce. Save room for dessert as the bread pudding with caramel sauce and ice cream is a specialty.
Excellent food and friendly staff. The wait time can be a bit long for a table so try to plan in advance, however it's worth the wait! The inside is very cozy and unique. Definitely give this place a try!
Delicious food! Small, cozy restaurant that has awesome decor. Read that it is the two oldest buildings in Whitehorse. They were originally a bakery from 1900!!! Food was excellent as was the service. Very friendly people. Metered parking is on the side of the restaurant. There was a package behind it but we saw that it said permit parking only so parked on the street....2 hour max Limit. Two of us split the 3 piece fish and chips (Halibut) and it seemed like it would not be enough but it was more than enough. I found it quite expensive but considering the remoteness of Whitehorse, I can imagine all things are. Only thing is at that price they should give more tartar sauce and fries. Kids had the spaghetti and they loved it.
Great experience .
Great menu food and service. Eclectic
Excellent... great people/atmosphere and the food (I had the vegeterian dish with falafel and quinoa salad..it was behond meat ... just a play on words ????) was sublime!
This place is AMAZINGGGG! Great tasting food, nice staff, and awesome environment. If you're in whitehorse, go here!
Wow! What a cool atmosphere to dine in. The staff were helpful and friendly, checking in on us regularly. The menu features the history behind the place you’re stepping into - one of the oldest buildings in Whitehorse. Be sure to go on in while they’re open (between Mother’s day to some time in Fall), you won’t regret it!
Stopped twice in a week! First was lunch with 2 pc Alaskan Fish and Chips.....mouthing watering fish and tasty fries. Second was also lunch of the bison, Elk and wild boar burger.....omg best burger I've had in ages. Highly recommended …
We had a really terrific meal and local dining experience here. People were good and the customers even very friendly. This is a rugged looking kind of place, but the food is delicious and plentiful. We all loved it.
Food is always good! Can't choose wrong!
(Translated) Best food in Canada (Original) Das beste Essen in ganz Kanada
Excellent
WE HAD TO WAIT OUTSIDE FOR 10+ MINUTES ...THE RESTAURANT WAS CROWDED ... NO AIR CONDITIONING ... and I wouldn't change a thing. Possibly the best meal I've had! The lemonade is a must. If you order the Halibut Fish & Chips ... Get at least 2 pieces, one is not enough.
When in Whitehorse you gotta eat here!
My favourite restaurant in YT!! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and always friendly staff!
Over the top in food and fun. Went to celebrate a birthday. Food was excellent and portions large, staff were awesome with service and friendliness. A very fun evening leading to full stomachs and big smiles.
Best restaurant in town! We had to wait for about 45min before having a seat but the food is definitely worth the wait ! :) we couldn't finish all the food so we had to take it home which was good so we can also enjoy it the next day. Highly recommended !
You've got to try this!
Even the kids’ menu is delicious! Every dish we tried was amazing. We were glad we got there in the middle of the afternoon before there was a line up. Service was great and fast.
I had the Elk stroganoff, some the ribs that my brother got and the brownie desert. Everything was excellent. This is one of the best restaurants in Whitehorse. The prices reflect this.
Great food, the ladies serving us took care to make sure we had a great visit!
Sooooo yummy
Delicious food in an authentic and stunning atmosphere. Beer was great and the service was super friendly. We came at 7:30pm and had to wait for about 1 hour. We walked around a bit, so the wait didn't seem that long and it was totally worth it.
Best place in Whitehorse! Great Salmon and Great Ribs, beer isn't bad either
It was so good we went back again while we were in Whitehorse for four days.
Best god damn restaurant in town.
Been there twice now, this last time the service was a lot better. Limited drinks menu but the food was excellent particularly the salmon dishes. Not great for gluten intolerant people in terms of all the bannock and bread sides but still reasonable menu options.
Incredible food choices here. This was my second visit and the elk stroganoff was amazing!
Great menu selection and we'll prepared meals-! Large portions of food.
Worth the 30 minute wait. The salmon was excellent and so was the warm pecan pie.
Absolutely amazing. Worth the wait and every penny.
Great service Amazing salmon Huge portions …
Good food. Cool atmosphere. OK service.
This place feels so authentic. They offer home-cooking style rib and fish dishes that are done with predominately local ingredients true to the Klondike heritage. The building is basically a tent decorated with interesting artifacts in the Klondike flavour. The building is small and cozy, but comfortable none-the-less. They had lots of staff attending to the tables when we were there so service was attentive and timely. I could tell it was a great place based on the mix of locals and tourists alike. I'd definitely go back.
Super unique place near main street in Whitehorse. A must-go-to place. Famous for fish and chips, and generally yummy food and drinks. Open only in summer.
Wonderful food, great service with courteous and fun servers. Highly recommended.
Best meal in the yukon!!
Whitehorse classic
There was a bit of a wait as it is a small place. I think we waited about an hour, BUT so very worth it! Excellent atmosphere and amazing food!
I stayed in Whitehorse for four days and ate at the Klondike 3 times! It's AMAZING.
Recommended and well worth the 40 min wait. Excellent food and service in an old original Whitehorse building.
Great service, great food. It's a wonderful place. And the service is great.
Best fish and chips in town
Great food great service, lots of fun
Very unique place with a rich history. Make sure you try the sticky balls.
Worth the hype! We came early to avoid waiting in line and were seated right away. Very friendly and welcoming service by all the wait staff. Very charming atmosphere but glad to get a seat on the patio where it was a few degrees cooler. We shared a full rack of ribs and two salmon skewers; both were delicious! Ribs came with a hearty serving of tasty fries. No room for dessert which I may forever regret. We'll be back!
Great food!!
Best meal in Whitehorse but the place is too small and crowded. You have to walk through the service area to get in. At least half the seating is outside. I know it's a historic building, but you need a bigger and nicer place. Food was good although the salmon and ribs were dry and a bit burnt. Grilled food doesn't need to be black.
Excellent local grub, very good service, nice atmosphere.
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Great food. Bit of a lineup but worth the wait.
The staff were all great and moving around like busy bees, but still taking time to check on your satisfaction with your meal. They made me feel very welcomed with great smiles. The ambiance was very interesting, almost like a bar chatter, but travel family restaurant look. There were lots of old artifacts from tree saws to snow shoes on the ceiling and walls. I had the elk stroganoff. I have never had stroganoff before, so not sure if it is the way it should be. The mashed potatoes were a bit on the chill side with the rest of the food being warm, but not hot, which is odd since it is served on a skillet. The elk meat was very lean and had some chew. Some pieces were more tender than others. The of focaccia bread with galic infused olive oil was very pleasant. Had some softness and chew to it. The caesar salad served before the entree was very good, not sure why it was all romaine lettuce with some parmesan cheese and a dressing. I added the lemon to it and it blew my tastebuds for some reason. I almost went with the ribs and salmon, but I'd probably try that if I'm ever back.
Glad a place like this exists, Had a great time
Nice ambiance, really great decor based on Yukon Gold Rush era. The staff was super kind even tho they were pretty busy. But, the food was okay, I ordered the world famous fish n ship, and I really liked them, but nothing to go crazy for. Also, the Meatless Monday is only one special plate on the menu, nothing else. The fake meat was interesting, the spices in there were good. So, for someone vegan or vegetarian, it's worth it, except for the lack of choice, but again, it's named Klondike Rib & Salmon, not Kale Salad & Tofu, lol.
Alright.. just eaten here once, so grain of salt. Service was a little snobby and the fish was overcooked.
Great fish and Elk, fantastic staff, and friendly atmosphere.
So beautiful and pintores inside. Took lots of pictures. Good food and friendly staff.
Went for lunch, fast service, had a great burger. Will definitely come back.
Lovely service from staff. Meal was delicious but tad salty for my taste. An amazing homemade iced tea!!! Wait time was a bit long especially on a slower day.
(Translated) Very good restaurant. The tip against lunchtime was worth gold. Otherwise long wait for seats in the restaurant. Food very tasty and fresh. Prices are quite high but just as acceptable. The young ladies in the service friendly and attentive. Thanks for a nice afternoon (Original) Sehr gutes Restaurant.
Impeccable tourist trap restaurant... The food is excellent! Highly recommend the fish n chips but the chowder, burger, and ribs (that my friends are) were all fantastic.
Excellent restaurant but needs to improve on its wine list.
Great food, are here twice and the food was consistently great!
Have to wait to get a seat most of the time. I had the $30 halibut, took about 45 minutes to get to the table, regret not sending it back. Way over cooked, actually chewy and dried out. I was very hungry after waiting close to an hour altogether. It came highly recommended, I may give them one more chance when I'm in Whitehorse again.
Great staff and good food
Best fish & chips in town, awesome atmosphere and great service.
Waited almost 45 mins for dinner on Canada Day, but food was worth it.
The ribs are incredible. Extremely busy but the staff is always very friendly and helpful!
Great ribs
Get there early but if you don't, it's worth the wait. Good food & friendly, competent staff make it a great place. The ribs and salmon did not disappoint.
Great food
The waitress we had was amazing, she was absolutely hilarious and super attentive!! I absolutely loved her and if I ever had a restaurant I would hire her to run it! We had a great time teasing my husband and she made the whole experience one of a kind. Oh the food, Wow!!! Soo tasty! We shared 2 piece halibut and chips with coleslaw and it was by far the best we've had, and were from the west coast so we've had alot of fish and chips. It had the perfect amount of batter, the chips were seasoned with seasoning salt. The coleslaw could've been a bigger size as it's enough for about 3 bites( not enough for sharing). We also split a half ceasar, very delicious! A definite must try place.
Cool location and had a really good lunch
Best service in Whitehorse. Food is always good.
Amazing food and service.
Wow!!! It's a big regular order of delicious ribs.
Best fish and chips I have ever had. My husband had the Klondike burger and it was incredible, huge flavour in the party. The little one gave an amount of thumbs up that "doesn't even exist".
Delicious menu
(Translated) Lots of waiting to have a table in the evening. It is a popular place. (Original) Beaucoup d'attente pour avoir une table en soirée. Cest un endroit courru.
Best burger in town.. pretty much best everything in town. Service is always professional and welcoming. One sad note, they are only open few months a year.
Very generous portion, tasty food and friendly staff! I really enjoyed my experience here. Our favorite was the Keto salad and salmon/bbq rib platter dish (forgot the exact dish name). Salad was absolutely lovely with lots of fresh veggies and crispy pork that was super yummy. The portion was huge so by the time main dish came, I could not eat most of the dish except for one salmon skewer. But it was still really good. Highly recommended!
Great food. Perfect portion. Amazing dessert! Quaint atmosphere. Good staff.
Great find, we will be back
Great place. The atmosphere, the fish & chips, and the service were all excellent.
Best ribs of the planet! Amazing looks & taste! Worth the wait and price
Absolutely amazing Fish & Chips. Went twice while I was in Whitehorse
Amazing as always! No matter what you order make sure you have a maple salmon skewer.
Amazing service + amazing food : best culinary experience in town. Thanks for having made my birthday night so great !
Cool spot. Definitely touristy
If you want an authentic experience, definitely visit Klondike Rib & Salmon. Elk stroganoff, salmon skewers and halibut were delicious, the decor is fun and funky, and service was 5 star. Try to save room for dessert!
A time machine to Canada's true north. Great people with great food. Fill your stomach and eyes with The Yukon experience.
I highly recommend this to everyone! When it opens, I am there once a week!
A summertime Yukon institution, with good food and great service. Pro-tip, arrive early to avoid the lines.
Best fish and chips!!
Best ribs and salmon in Whitehorse! Make sure you save room for desert as well!
So fresh and light!! Get there early
Great food, bit expensive
Delicious
(Translated) Super Excellent Resto. We returned 2 nights in a row. Same great service and great lunch! The restaurant of the corner without a doubt! Susie & Romeo Not let go girls !!!! (Original) Super Excellent Resto. Nous sommes retourné 2 soir de suite. Même bon super service et super lunch! Le resto du coin sans aucun doute ! Susie & Roméo Lâché pas les filles!!!!
Atmosphere, owners, girls waiting on us, food etc. extraordinary special. Recommended for anyone traveling the Yukon.
Great food, very friendly staff :)
Tastiest dining in Whitehorse so far
Depends on your standard. By Yukon standard it`s a 5. By City standards it`s a 2 but despite that they are rammed most nights. Mediicre food. Great atmosphere. Great staff.
The portions are huge!! Go for the special. Look how big the desserts are too when you are there. Friendly staff.
Best mashed potatoes and salmon ♥️ and great service despite how busy it was
Amazing burgers
(Translated) Visited for lunch, ordered a hamburger set and fish and chips Pygmy and Chips are delicious but not much different from Korea The hamburger is overcooked because the patty is too overcooked Good service (Original)
Great food and cool atmosphere! Worth the wait.
Friendly and welcoming with a locally sourced eclectic menu that made food selection pleasantly challenging
Always good excellent service and all round fun place to be at
It's the unique place to visit for a summer dinner on 2nd ave.
Good food but long wait. 40 plus minutes. Had a kids menu. Was a bit expensive for kids at i think $16 but they had a red sauce pasta kids meal for $8. We just got an adult fish and chips for the kids to share which was the same price as the kids meal but didn't come with dessert as the kids one did. Our kids shared it well. Portions were good. Our meal tasted very good. Staff was nice. Would go back and would recommend. Apparently it's only open in summer. Not sure about that fully.
Great food
Amazing food,
Great food and service...just a long wait for a table.
An absolute must if you're visiting the yukon. Great yukon food and super friendly staff. Love the whole menu. You won't be disappointed.
This is probably the busiest restaurant in town. I had to wait 40 minutes for a table, and even then, I was sat with two other couples at a six-top. The waitress forgot about my order as I watched four couples around me get served well after I had ordered, and definitely before they placed theirs. I had the "Wild" Elk Stroganoff and was unimpressed. The entree lacked depth of flavor. The meat had a texture like it had been boiled quickly rather than cooked low & slow. The saving grace was the bread pudding a la mode. It was a little dry but delicious.
(Translated) One line summary: It is said to be the best restaurant in Yukon, but the price is also the best. (Original) 한줄요약 : 유콘 최고의 맛집이라 하지만 가격도 최고다.
Great ambiance with unique food options
The food is fantastic! There is a reason "You Must Eat Here" did an episode 9n this place. The sticky balls are great, although the BBQ sauce is very spicy. Great fish and chips. Generous portions. Definately recommend
First time in whitehorse or regularly here . Don't even think about passing up a dine in at the Klondike. Amazing experience hands down !!
Good environment, friendly staff. Music & Atmosphere was really nice. We had the halibut clam chowder which was delicious. Definitely recommend. Hubby had the house special: Salmon was delicious, ribs were okay but wasn’t a great cut of meat, potatoes, veggies and focaccia were cold. I had the Croatian sensation, which was really delicious, again the focaccia was cold though. We got the bread warmed up before eating our meals. I’d go back but maybe try something else.
The quality of service as taste of the food certainly makes up the long wait, one of best restaurant in town indeed. Although is small diner, but is decorated well with the city touch and it’s history with twists blunts art. Food are fresh. Everything we order is tasty and the staff is making sure we enjoy our dinner. The menu split to lunch and dinner. The owner also working on deck a lovely humble lady. They close on winter so Hopefully they back with new menu steaks and other varieties of food.
5 Stars for Whitehorse. 4 Stars for Memphis. The place to go in Whitehorse. Great service and food. Whether a burger, a rack of ribs, or a bowl of soup... Its served with a smile and tastes great. We always stop for lunch or dinner when we pass thru Whitehorse on our way to or from Alaska and never have been disapointed.
The good was very good and or waitress was the best!
Definitely a must do restaurant in Whitehorse! They are so friendly and welcoming! The food was honesty amazing, we had the meat balls and the house special. The meat balls were acompanied by some gresh greens in a balsamic vinegar. It was wonderful. The house special is half a rack of ribs 2 bbq salmon skewers and sides of mashed potatoes, greens and a wonderful bread. The ribs fell off the bone they were SO tender! The salom skewers tasted fresh and moist. All the sides were great too. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere and the wait staff were so friendly I have a nut allergy and was not ready to try a dessert but they have them on display in a wonderful old-timey display case. They looked DELICIOUS!
The wait in the rain was a bit long and I make better ribs at home. The food wasn't terrible but not worth leaving the house for.
This place offers a unique atmosphere with amazing wild game (try the elk carpaccio), and great selection of local craft beers while the staff are friendly and gracious. Will return next time I come to Whitehorse!
We had a party of 9 (adults & children) and they accommodated us at 2 adjacent tables. Service & food was excellent and well worth the small wait. Definitely family friendly.
Always amazing food and accommodating staff. If you are willing to share a table and go with a small group you can usually get a table right away. Parking near by is coin operated so come prepared. Fish and chips is a amazing, desserts are huge and delicious. I always come here when I can and am sad when it's not open in the winter. When it is open it's probably one of my favorite places to eat.
Amazing1. Great food awesome lady's... 9* place
Arctic char and ribs were very good!
Lots of great foods. Salmon and ribs are to die for.
Great food, i can recommend halibut fish & chips. Friendly staff. lineups!!!
AMAZING food as always!! Such a great atmosphere and vibe - yumminess!! A definite "You gotta eat here" place for every tourist, but for us locals too! So fabulous!
Expensive but worth going once a summer.
Great ambience, relaxed and inclusive. Staff super friendly, food is great. Ordered the Buffalo steak, was over cooked and the waitress made no fuss and within minutes a fresh steak done just right was on my plate.
Great food, friendly service, awesome!!!
very good chowder and salmon, friendly staff, small but very nice
Yes, a Muster be
Excellent fish n chips! Enjoy them on the enclosed party like we did last summer
Nice food, but expensive.
We loved it!!! Great staff, wonderful food. Amazing experience. A must try!!
Great food, ideal atmosphere for guests from outside. They don't do reservations, so go early or be prepared to wait, but it's worth it.
Definitely a place to eat in Whitehorse. Great service and the meal for the most part was delicious. My wife and I shared the halibut and ribs and it was delicious! Except for the green beans. Tasted like they were right off the plant, very bitter. That's the only complaint though. Would very much eat here again, just no green beans.
Very good food, terrific service.
Really friendly, excellent food, and short wait for table--and well worth it!
Expensive but worth it. Don't cheap out on dessert it's worth it too.
Best restaurant in Whitehorse. Eat there for every meal during my vacation with my dad until their last day of 2018. Be aware that they only open from Mother's Day to September every year because the building is too cold for the cold seasons. The decos are super cute. The food is absolutely fantastic. Please please try it if you are in Yukon.
OMG! Best culinary experience since I got to Canada… Food and service, both were outstanding!
Really enjoyed the food and the place had a fun atmosphere. Can be really busy in the summer, lots of tourists.
Omg the fish and chips ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Great place in town, highly recommend.
Superb. Highly recommend. Great food, great service.
Best ribs in town!
We were a group of five and the first guests when we arrived at 4 PM. We ordered five different dishes, they were all very delicious! Nice environment, good service and great food!
Had he ceaser salad and fish & chips. Best fish and chips I've had .
Great food and services ????
Had to force myself to leave before I put myself in a food coma. Service was phenomenal and food was well worth the price. Loved the Yukoner vibe and the smaller intimate space. One of the best places in Whitehorse by far. Thanks a bunch!!
Great food, super staff. Now closed for the season. (Only open from mid May to mid September. )
Incredible!!!
The fish was horrible and the fries were soggy. Would not recommend. Also, I didn't like the stares I got from the workers and clientele (I'm black)
Friendly staff, good food with very generous portions. Two people can happily split the 3-piece halibut and chips. Desserts are enormous and fairly priced. TIP: don't go for dinner during tourist season as all the cruise ship passengers from Alaska are sent here for dinner. Go instead for lunch, when there isn't a line to get in, and you can eat at your leisure.
Their Fish and Chips is my go-to
We had the garlic prawns and halibut & chips great food service and great atmosphere
Very neat building. Good food. Expensive.
Food is always good here. The desserts is tempting but I'm always too full from the entree
Lovely place with cute & original decor, super nice staff and most importantly...amazing food! We had Alaskan halibut (fish and chips) and Arctic charr - both dishes were absolutely to die for. The charr just melts in your mouth and fish and chips are very tasty, fresh and not too oily. Their appetizers, just like mains, also represent a variety of local fish and meat and are also delicious (we tried Alaskan halibut chowder, wild game balls and crab cakes). And their desserts...Bread pudding and bumble berry pie were fantastic! We only spent 2 days in Whitehorse during our week in the North...and we went to Klondike Rib & Salmon twice!
Everything was great!
Delicious salmon burger and salmon wrap!
The best Halibut and chips and they have malts vinegar. Yum.
Huge rib portions & delicious. Very helpful staff.
Awesome !????
Amazing food and service
A must try in Whitehorse
Waited over an hour to get a table which wasn't unexpected. Once seated however we had sporadic and poor service from 3 different waitresses. The food took over an hour to arrive (I'm guessing one of the waitresses forgot to order it). The vegetables and meat were very good but the bannock wasn't real bannock - just a baking powder biscuit (no butter). It was our second visit and we won't be coming back. Overrated, overcrowded and overpriced.
Delicious food, delightful flavour, large portions (insert full tummy and leftovers here), exemplary service ????????
Amazing food great service and just a must if ever in Whitehorse.
Fantastic salmon and rib special. Deserts are pretty large so should be shared
Awesome food!
I love this place ❤❤❤❤
Good food and good service.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The only problem is there is never enough room for dessert
(Translated) Great food, but beware, often long waits! (Original) Super essen, aber Achtung, oft lange Wartezeiten!
The ribs and bread pudding were really good but the hostess was disorganized in seating people
Awesome ribs and the Halibut fish and chips was spot on the fish was not oily at all which is often a problem with fish and chips in other places.
GREAT food, well worth the wait!! The House special could easily feed two people, salmon and ribs! Haddock melted in your mouth. Service was prompt and very friendly
Great staff, service and amazing food quality ????
Loved the Salmon
Delicious! Friendly!
Exellent Food
We caught them on the last day of their season. Don't listen to the reviews that tell you this place is just a tourist trap- we saw plenty of locals on the last day who were eager to get in one last meal. Ordered the Salmon Burger and the Kickass burger- both were somewhat mediocre, though the fries were very good. Should have ordered the fish n chips. Staff was friendly and the potions were large. Overall a bit of a "meh" experience, but I'd say we probably just ordered the wrong things. Dessert looked incredible, though we were too full to order any.
Bison steak was really good!
Great fish and chips
Best fish and chips ever! Save room for bread pudding!!
Service & Food is 5 star all around!!

Absolutely great food and great service. If you are traveling through Yukon then this is a must . You will not be disappointed.
Great service, so so food
Always friendly service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. Do not miss this gem!
(Translated) Excellent choice, excellent service, everything looked delicious, I ordered the Artic Chat and it was without a doubt outstanding, I would go back without hesitation (Original) Excelente elección, excelente servicio, todo se veía delicioso, yo pedí el Artic Chat y fue sin lugar a dudas sobresaliente, volvería sin dudarlo
Awesome food, service is great
Touristy and a little expensive, but got food and cute atmosphere
Awesome food, excellent service and a fun, vibrant atmosphere
Delish all the way around
This place is a summertime staple. I’m usually good for 2 visits per season. If you haven’t had the bread pudding, you’re missing out!!
Food was excellent.
This was our first time - we expected the wait outside - it was a beautiful night filled with people to watch so that was fine! The inside is a cute house crossed with a tent type thing - the tent in the back area has two fans but was still quite warm. This was decorated super cute, and there was no shortage of staff around! Some of the things I felt were kind of pricey but this was our first Whitehorse restaurant experience so it could be good for the are. I had the Elk stroganoff and IT WAS AMAZING. The meat was so tender, the sauce and mushrooms - delicious! At our table was also the artic char fish dish - which was apparently delicious but he'd get he fish and chips. And the spaghetti and meat balls - which was actually fetachinni with meat balls. Kids menu seemed high - but apparently came with an ice cream scoop! (We passed for this time). The owner is from Saskatchewan and you can tell with a little bit of Saskatchewan Flair, Drake Bacon, and pilsner beer were on the menu! The bacon comes with this Yukon caramel BBQ sauce and is delicious! The appetizer has 5 pieces. This would be a must stop, must come back to for us!
Best fish and chips!
Great food. Good service.
First time in. Quick beer and fish chowder. Good enough to make us plan a return trip for Tuesday special.
excellent food and service I highly recommend it
Excellent food, large portions. Great service e.
the ribs are very good - the half stack is probably enough

The smoky sticky balls were amaze-balls!
Atmosphere is awesome however my meal was just ok.
Fantastic as always
Great food and friendly prompt service.
(Translated) Waiting times but unfortunately for good beer YukonRed and fantastic Spareribs. Friendly and courteous staff, cozy and rustic atmosphere. (Original) Wartezeiten leider aber dafür gutes Bier YukonRed und fantastische Spareribs .Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal , gemütliches und rustikales Ambiente.
Excellent service! Huge portions. Food fantastic
I had the best burger I've ever had. If there were two reasons to come to the Yukon, one would be the Klondike Burger, and the beautiful sights of the Yukon.
(Translated) Very good service and very good meal thank you very much (Original) Très bon service et tres bon repas merci beaucoup
Delicious! If you are spending any amount of time in Whitehorse this is definitely a spot to put on your must eat at list. This was the best salmon and ribs I've ever had. The bbq sauce was delicious and the ribs just fall right off the bone. Be prepared for the possibility of a long line-up because of the popularity of the place, but the food is definitely worth the wait.
Awesome food at best.
Grsat restaurant! Freidnly staff and great food. Eating under the tent is cool too!
They know how to do it, great food and staff
Love the food- terrific and timely service, great people!
It was absolutely amazing. Best food I've had in a long time. Will return. From Tn
Nothing but good things to say!!
I'm a local and this is my favourite restaurant in town! Great food, great atmosphere and great staff! Just be ready to wait outside for a table though, it's a popular place for a reason!
Top
Great place, I consider this as one of my top 10 burgers ever!
I came here twice last summer when I was in Whitehorse for 10 days. Oh is it ever some of the best food I have ever tasted! The salmon tasted so amazing! I recommend this as an absolute must for anyone who travels to Whitehorse!
Good food
Best ribs and salmon ever.
It has the greatest service in the Yukon great job Donna and staff
Great service. Food kinda bland for the price
(Translated) A clear recommendation. Friendly ... nice atmospaere and delicious food. (Original) Eine klare empfehlung. Freundlich ... schoene atmospaere und leckeres essen.
Best place me and my fiance stopped to eat at on the Alaskan Highway. We loved our food and envied everyone else's.
Good food and atmosphere and I'd always busy
Lots to look at. Bison steak was tough.
Food was excellent and the staff were wonderful!
honestly not a very good experience, waited 30 minutes for our food to have extremely small portion sizes, as well as asked for bbq sauce for a dry steak and waited 10 minutes to get it after asking two waiters. then waited 10-15 mintues for our bill. i dont recommend. fish was also very dry
Great place to enjoy the Yukons bounty of local fish and game. Nice atmosphere!
Yum
This place is OUTRAGEOUSLY good. The salmon, the elk, the halibut....tried them all - wrote home about it each time in poetic prose. The brownie would likely threaten to sink the paddle steamer it probably came in on...it’s that big and slap yourself in the face good. Love this restaurant
This is THE restaurant to go to when you visit Whitehorse Yukon. The portions are large. The halibut melts in your mouth. The one thing to try, is the baked bread pudding !!! It's a dish in itself. Plan to share unless it is to be your only indulgence. Inside or outside tables. Located right downtown Whitehorse, only a block away from the Yukon river. Excellent wait staff. Fabulous chefs...You won't be disappointed.
Great place!! Very friendly staff! Get the fish and chips. 3 piece is enough to share! The Yukon Red beer is also great. Will be back when passing through again.
BOOM! What a meal. Fantastic. Had the half rack of ribs- succulent fall off the bone, and tasty as. The bumble berry pie and ice cream was also fantastic. Open mothers day until 3rd week of Sept, so get in while you still can!!!
The grilled salmon was outstanding, the ribs however, were fatty, dried out, and overcooked
They have great food here.
Popular Tourist trap with overpriced but fair food
Amazing food and service
If you are in whitehorse it's the place to try out
The food was awesome with lots of “Northern” selection. Superb!
(Translated) Where locals eat. Freshly prepared wild salmon or ribs served in the pan! Original atmosphere, the time of the gold rush sends greetings. (Translated) It is the best restaurant in the city, it has an authentic Yukon atmosphere, the place seems 100 years old but the quality and warmth of the girls who serve you is from another world. Few times have I felt so happy to be in a place like Klondike Rib & Salmon, the food is great, the house special is the best there is, the salmon has a flavor that I have never tasted. Halibut chowder for when you want to warm up and halibut fish and chips to fill your soul. And to download it there is nothing better than a red beer from the yukon, you cannot go wrong, if you are going to order something else that is a golden from the yukon. I only came twice and I feel like I already want to go back because of the food and the kindness of the people.
Awesome food and service
Awesome ..... food Awesome ..... atmosphere Awesome ..... Customer Service They even handed out umbrellas in line for those waiting to get in......they leave nothing to chance..... including the food..... Prince Edward Islander .... from the other side of Canada.....
There was a pretty long wait to eat here, but it was worth every minute of it. The Halibut Chowder was amazingly good and everything the rest of my group had appeared equally good.
Great food and desserts. Big tourist spot so there is usually a wait
Great food nice decor.
Busy, busy. Even with town very empty this spot was packed. Food great.
Cute waitresses and a fun themed restaurant. Bison steak cut was rather small and the halibut was a bit dry and seemed pre cooked. This place has some of the best draft beer I've ever had, Yukon Gold and Red.
We ate at the food truck. It was $$$ expensive. The batter was way too thick so it looked like we were getting a lot more fish. The batter had no flavor- was bland.
Excellent food. I recommend the crab cakes. Great service. Get there early. Lineups common.
(Translated) A real hit! Quaint Location. The spare ribs are a poem. The salmon wraps are very fresh and tasty. Soft drinks with refill. Prices reasonable. A must for every visitor to Whitehorse. (Original) Ein echter Hit! Urige Location.Die spare ribs sind ein Gedicht. Die Salmon-Wraps sind sehr frisch und schmackhaft. Soft drinks mit refill. Preise angemessen. Ein Muss für jeden Besucher von Whitehorse.
The ribs here are soooo good, and honestly very well priced for the quality and quantity. Their half racks are as big as the full racks at most restaraunts. Have gotten the half rack with fries every time I've been here. Keep meaning to try the cookie skillet because it looks amazing but I'm always too full after the meal.
Absolutely excellent! Enjoyed every bite. Must visit in Whitehorse!
Had the salmon skewer with a salad. Salmon so dry barely came off skewer!! Very expensive for the quality and quantity of the food. It is a unique place to see but would recommend going in and looking around and eating elsewhere.
(Translated) Excellent cuisine. Loud and fun atmosphere. Very nice staff. Go there! (Original) Cucina di livello eccellente. Atmosfera chiassosa e divertente. Staff simpaticissimo. Andateci!
Great food, friendly staff, vegan options and the dining room looks really cute. Great experience.
You have to eat here at least once. Only open in the summer, it's pitched for tourists, but I've eaten there with locals, too. Plan to spend some time, because it can have a line-up, but there's lots of history to the place and you can read up on it while you wait. Food is delicious home-style cooking, and the service is home-style, too: shared tables with plastic gingham covers. Interior is crammed with local memorabilia and objects of interest.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! Highly recommended :)
This place was came highly recommended from a few friends and thus the bar was high. They did not disappoint! They were quite busy so the service was average however the food was outstanding! The salmon was cooked to perfection, ribs were excellent, and all of the deserts were to die for. Portions were huge and therefore I'd say generally good value. A must visit while in Whitehorse.
Food smells good but taste so so
Food is exceptional. Really liked their house special . Service is fine they are checking you once in awhile.
5 star!
very good
Ribs...OKish...very fatty
Come hungry, great food. Fun things on the walls.
Great food. Huge portions. Good vibe and service.
Loved it...
Pretty good local food, friendly staff when not too busy, choose your time smart to avoid busy hours, we thought it was a bit pricey.
Amazing food and service. Great
Wonderful food and fantastic service
The seafood bake tasted great! If you order dessert, beware; the portions are gigantic! I got bread pudding to go with my coffee, and it was the size of my head!
(Translated) Great restaurant, super friendly and funny girls working there. Delicious food and delicious beer, especially Nikon Gold. Keep it up (Original) Tolles Restaurant, super freundliche und witzige Mädels die dort arbeiten. Sehr leckeres Essen und lecker Bierchen, besonders Nikon Gold. Macht weiter so
Delish!!!
(Translated) Super good, especially the bison steak (Original) Super bon, surtout le steak de bison
Great little local eatery. Imaginative salads and creative dishes as well as some old favourites. Good value and service. As an overseas visitor they made us feel welcome.
Great food and service highly recommend for gluten allergy as well (celiac) waitress was very good highly knowledgeable. exceptional food the salmon was out standing.
Food was great just a 20 min wait but well worth it.
Food was awesome , staff was friendly ! If visiting White Horse its a must go ! Their speciality Salmon and Ribs is sumptious and the baked Char superb !!
Amazing food. Great service. Awesome, rustic place! ????????
(Translated) It's quite unusual! The food is very good and there is a team of thunder in there! The portions are big !! (Original) C'est assez inusité ! La bouffe est très bonne et il y a une équipe du tonnerre là dedans ! Les portions sont grosses !!
Too many people were waiting for the seats. We ordered takeout. The Bison steak tastes so good!
OMG. 'Nuf said. MUST VISIT if you are in Whitehorse.
Good Grub and AMBIANCE.
Amazing atmosphere in a historic building with authentic Yukon pieces. Food is out of this world tasty!!!
The food here was fresh and delicious, and the service was very attentive. Come early, or have a snack beforehand -- it was a 30 minute wait for a table, followed by a 40 minute wait for food.
(Translated) The food was very good, the service and the atmosphere were perfect (Original) La nourriture était très bonne, le service et l'ambiance étaient parfait
Haven't had my work done yet, but customer service over the phone is a " 10 "
Excellent pulled boar sandwich
Sunday brunch was delicious!
Service is great food is tasty and cooked well. Desserts are large, made to share. Can't leave here hungry.
Excellent food selection, local, fresh. Great service. Plan to have a snack prior to waiting in the lineup, waits are 30 to 45+min, which are well worth it. The staff is courteous and as a result don’t rush the patrons. When wait times are longer it’s due to other guests enjoying their time. Hands down patio is the way to go if you have a larger group, we were 8. The pecan pie is excellent if you have any room left for dessert. They are also, definitely accommodative to children, we had our 1 year old and she had a great time just like the rest us did! Make sure you check this place out. We also stopped in for lunch which was not as busy as dinner if you arrive early. Hope this info helps.
Best fish and chip in town
Great and friendly servers, food was great and the prices are cool. We got ribs, salmon and halibut, fantastic choice. Compliment to the chef and all servers
Very good
No doubt about it... The fish and chips are the best... The brownie and the bumble berry pie are to die for!.
excellent, delicious and friendly staff.
The food was great...loved the bumble berry pie. The staff were friendly and efficient. The people we met while waiting and while eating were friendly and had great stories. Loved this experience. Phyllis
Oh my gosh!!! We were a group of four, we all ordered something different. Every dish was delicious! Service top notch! Fun atmosphere, we all highly recommend even though they don't take reservations! Oh, even though they were busy they did not rush us out the door...
All around ok ...ribs are not that good !
Decor is rustic and fun. Service is attentive but not intrusive .the salmon kebabs in maple syrup were delicious . Ribs were a bit disappointing . Not fall off the bone .
Tiny place but really good Halibut fish and chips! Good service
Bout as fresh as it gets, food and service was amazing!
The food was excellent and the service was exceptional!! Salt comes out really fast. ????
Excellent food and centrally located. Great waitstaff. Would come again.
Loved loved it must go back
(Translated) Excellent food, super nice, friendly and very helpful service. Waiting for a free table is worth it (Original) Hervorragendes Essen, super nette, freundliche und sehr hilfsbereite Bedienung. Wartezeit auf einen freien Tisch lohnt sich
Good food, great atmosphere. I make a point of a meal there every time im in Whitehorse.
Best severs
We ate here as we headed up to Dawson city and again on the way back through heading south. Worth the wait every time to get in (reservation recommended). The staff and atmosphere is incredible. Save room the sourdough bread dessert is a must have to share at the table before leaving.
The food was awesome and the service was wonderful.
Food was responsible priced because quantity was really big. Atmosphere was rustic which is what you want. But really popular so long line up to get a name on the waitlist, so go early.
