Great food and super friendly staff. Interesting and well balanced menu items with influences from various cuisines. The seafood coconut curry dish was fantastic. They also do brunch buffet on Sundays 10-2 with eggs made to order. Will go back for sure.

We were so excited for the Oakwood Hardware to open, and we weren't disappointed at all. The staff is incredible, attentive, and extremely friendly. The Hardware has a laid-back, family-friendly vibe, but has a gentrified gastro-pub feel with its eclectic, antique (hardware) decor. Finally, it's the food that brings us back every Sunday for brunch; It's incredible, and we can't wait to head over on a weeknight to see what the owner/chef is cooking up. This is exactly what the neighbourhood needed, and we're thrilled.

I first discovered Oakwood Hardware when I was out on a walk with a girlfriend. Their patio looked so inviting. I immediately checked out their website when I got home! I love that they have the Oakwood Pantry where you can buy goods to take home and enjoy. I also love how they have special meals for every occasion! They also change their menu up to use the most fresh, local ingredients. I was so excited when patios opened up again, and my partner and friend came here for dinner on Saturday night. I was able to make a reservation through Yelp very easily, and they even send you a reminder and ask you to confirm closer to the time. Our server was bubbly and fantastic. I thought I knew what I wanted to eat b/c I am definitely one that looks at the menus ahead of time, but then the server surprised us with a bunch of dinner specials! I love that their menu has such a variety of cuisines. My partner and opted to share a few things. We had the greek salad, the potato and leek soup, korean tacos, mac and cheese and onion rings. I literally have nothing bag to say about anything. The greek salad was perfectly dressed and had a nice portion of feta. I love that the mac and cheese had the crispy bits of pasta. And the onion rings weren't greasy at all and came with a delicious aioli. The drinks were flowing as well. I had the white sangria - delish! The guys had beers. I can't wait to come back. The prices are really affordable too.

Such a gorgeous building! I can't wait for the patio to be open. Support local businesses by taking advantage of the market of gourmet grocery items, drink selection, and of course there's amazing baked goods and regular entrees. I got a burger some croissants for a late brunch and can't wait to go back see what else Anne has in store. Really really pleased to have found this local gem.

Had the burgers and fries along with the in-house beer. Beer was light, 4.5% alcohol. Refreshing on a hot summer day. Burger was a good portion. The patty was just slightly undercooked for my own personal preference, but the fault was my own as I should have specified. The fries were great. Haircut fries, crispy (some might find them a bit dry but I loved them). The salt is was the clencher. They use kosher salt so you get bigger grains similar to sea salt. Works fantastic with these fries. Didn't really need the ketchup. Great place though. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor patio.

We went as a group of nine to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. Out of the nine of us, there was two vegans, one dairy allergy, and myself who has a sleuth of allergies. We were *that* table, but out server, Joel, never made us feel like a bother. He was quick, charming, well versed in the menu, and was always refilling our water glasses. It was a hot day on the patio and he was ensuring that we stayed well hydrated. It's clear to see why he's the lead server. The food we had was delicious. Some of our group had the Summerlicious items which came highly recommended by Joel and were stunning. Everything was wonderful, and I'd strongly recommend this place to any and all of my friends.

I really want to like this place, as I went to one of the brunch buffets there two years ago and it was good. But since then, it doesn't seem like they've gotten their act together. I understand that there was a fire and they were closed for a long time, but the "open" times were still listed on their website and more than once I thought they would be open but turned out to still be closed. More recently, I tried to make reservations for a dinner on Boxing Day, but they will be closed then too, and I had to wait an extra day and a half to call to make the reservations because they're closed on Mondays and don't use any kind of online reservation system. At this point, it doesn't really matter if the food is good because they've made it too hard for me to even get in the door.

Great patio atmosphere with extra heaters for the chilly spring evenings. Due to COVID-19 they have to close early but they are very gracious and polite to warn you when the time comes near. I recommend the brisket taco! It was divine!!

Service was great but food could of been a little better. My husband was asked how he wanted his burger, he asked for medium rare and it was really well done. My daughter had chicken fingers which were definitely hot and fresh, hand made but heavy on the breading. I had Huevos rancheros which was actually really good however, the egg was fries really hard and it should of been runny. We did not complain because we are huge advocates of not wasting food and it's not like it wasn't edible, just not to our liking. Based on all other reviews I'd like to give it another try, just need to convince the hubby. Also worth mentioning is that they have one of the best Sangria I've ever had and I've had enough to compare.

This restaurant will change this neighborhood and will become an establishment!

Decor is nice and relaxed, with an easygoing vibe. Servers are attentive and friendly, but service itself is slow. Our food took about 45min to arrive and it was already later in the evening (almost 9pm). A complaint about the dish was dealt with professionally, promptly, and the chef herself came out to talk to our table and make sure we would leave happy. Maybe a bit more time will help this place grease the rusty spots- for now, good enough for a glass of wine on a slow evening.

We've been longtime fans of OH's food and atmosphere, and we're definitely counting down the days until the reopen after the fire. The food has always been on point, and the service excellent. In fact, we liked it so much, we recently held our wedding there. I can say without a doubt that we have no regrets about this. Anne and the team were so helpful leading up to the big day. Anne got to know us and made a menu specific to our and our guest's varied tastes and food restrictions, landing on a menu that fit everyone's needs. I have had so many of our guests say that the food was hands-down the best they've had at a wedding. Anne also made sure the decor matched our laid back style. The entire team was so responsive and friendly on the day of. We're so thankful for everything they did, and look forward to many more visits in the future!

Friendly welcome. Our server Joel very knowledgeable about the food and made suggestions. We opted for appetizers and entrees. Excellent mussels, tacos and salmon chowder. Korean fried chicken tasted wonderful as did the burger. No room for dessert. Next visit will be entrees and dessert. Highly recommend.

I just had my birthday dinner here last night, and wow. What a night. Super accommodating, they had us out on the patio, but were prepared to bring us in if the weather didnt hold up. Our server, Emily, was awesome! She was so friendly, helpful, and patient with us, despite our staggered arrival, and made everyone feel right at home. Food was amazing and super fresh. I had the vegan curry bowl which was super delicious. I heard rave reviews about the burgers from my friends, and the cauliflower/broccoli starter was to die for. I just moved down the street from The Oakwood Hardware, and I think I just found my favourite restaurant. I will 100% be going back! Thank you so much for hosting us :) ????

My wife and I, along with several members of our family have dined at the Oakwood Hardware Restaurant, in the dining room (pre-COVID), recently on the patio, and now regularly for take-out.The service is always top-notch, the atmosphere equally exceptional, and the food is fantastic! We have indulged in just about everything on the menu since the re-opening, along with many of the daily specials, and have never, ever been disappointed! In addition, the OH Pantry has so many great homemade and locally sourced items such as soups, treats, cheeses, handcrafted items, etc. A great place to visit and treat yourself to some of the excellent fare!!!

We've gone 3 times for brunch and once for dinner, and have yet to be disappointed. The brunch buffet is great, and unlike many brunch spots they even take reservations. Dinner was excellent, amazing cocktails. They are very accommodating when it comes to kids and have several high chairs. We'll keep going back for sure!

If you live in the Oakwood area of Toronto, this is a place that could be one of your favourite local spots. They have a nice patio, off on a small side street, and have specials now..... Which is a great improvement since their renovation.

Have to update my prior 4 star review. My initial dinner experience was good. Decided to try brunch and it was sadly horrible. The selection was minimal, everything including the made to order eggs Benedict were dry. You could barely cut through the items. They also only give you half an eggs benny which for the cost seems unreasonable. The bacon was undercooked and the sausages were cold. So disappointing for a birthday celebration. The $20 was not well spent and they charged for sub par coffee. I don't know why others rave about the brunch. Too bad it's such a polar opposite experience.

Originally posted just the rating with no review, the restaurant wanted to know why so here we go. I ordered the KFC sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich was incredibly greasy, saturating the bun with grease and it felt like rock sitting in my stomach afterwards. In that way, it lived up to its KFC namesake. The sweet potato fries were soggy, unseasoned, and covered in grease from the chicken. It’s possible that we got unlucky with delivery - I’m sure this would have been better if eaten fresh, but 2021 won’t allow. I feel bad about the harsh review, but the meal I was served does not deserve more than one star. For the record, my brother was happy with his burger and side salad. Will update this review if the family decides to order again.

Re-opened but not for the better. After a kitchen fire a few months after it first opened, and after 18- months of renovation, the place reopened this Summer with the inclusion of a nice patio. We decided to try it again as we like to support neighborhood businesses. Regrettably, service has gone down. Server seemed inexperienced. She almost dropped off our order to another table. Also, we had requested omission of chilies from my pasta dish after confirming it was possible, yet this request was not fulfilled. To be honest, we did not choose to send back the dish, and decided to try it as envisioned by the chef. Server was not attentive -- was on her cellphone when we tried to get her attention for the bill. Perhaps they are still experiential opening hiccups? We had O.H. salad for $10 -- nothing special, some of the leaves were wilted. The Summer corn chowder for $8 was tasty (probably the best dish out of everything we ordered), but it was a bit too salty -- probably that's why it was so tasty? Dining partner had buttermilk fried chicken for $16 -- said it was good, but most deep fried chicken will be tasty. Good point that it was moist. I ordered cavaletti spaghetti ($17) with request to omit hot, spicy chilies. The dish was tasty, but a bit over salted for my palette -- I like to taste the flavours of the ingredients. I also found it to be a bit oily. Overall, we both agreed that there was nothing standing out about the food. It's decent enough for "pub" type food. It would not be at the top of our list when there are other neighbourhood places with similar prices and slightly better food for my palette. But it is nice to have another food option in Oakwood Village. Have to give it to the owner for opening in an area that's not known yet for dining establishments.

Went there for a couple of drinks with friends a while ago. We sat at the bar, friendly service, we ordered some apps which were ok. We asked the bartender if he could change the TV channel to some sports instead of the food network, but he declined. He explained the owner was a contestant on a food network show and he only wants the food network showing in his restraurant all the time...even though no-one was watching it, we left soon after. Cant believe how stuck up this place was and pretend to be something they aren't, took our business elsewhere

My husband and I had seen this restaurant on several occasions and it always seemed to have a crowd, so we finally decided to investigate the reviews before taking the plunge. The reviews did not do this restaurant justice! We made a reservation as we went on a Friday and were warmly greeted, quiclkly seated and told about the specials and given a run down of the great on tap beer menu (blood brothers beer highly recommended). The menu may be small but you are not strapped for choice. Everything is thoughtfully put together and we'll portioned ( you won't leave hungry). The food was full of seasonal ingredients and very flavourful. The chef knocked it out of the park! Wait staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We would highly recommend this restaurant for date nights or family outings. It's relaxed dining with upscale food and drinks! I will definitely be enjoying many more meals at thus restaurant
