You have the feddbacks of people like you who consume the services of Pho Anh Vu (Restaurant) in the territory close to York (Canada).
Nowadays the business receives a score of 4.2 out of 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an reviews average is really good, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we may say that the evaluation is quite accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Vietnamese restaurant.
One of the best pho restaurants in the city! You can tell they use premium ingredients in their dishes and service has always been friendly. I especially love the Bun Cha Hanoi, Bun Ca, and any of their broken rice dishes. The cuts of meat are always top-notch. Would highly recommend!
Price is a bit expensive comparing to Vietnamese restaurants near by. The taste is fine however it is too salty for my group. We wish that the chef could reduce the sodium significantly.
Had a craving for pho due to the weather and thought I try a new spot for lunch. Place was packed during lunch so I thought I give it a try. Pho was ok, broth was good not the best but good. Very expensive for a bowl of pho $14.99 for a small bowl (very small) $19 for a large.
My fav place to eat pho and bun bo hue all the time ;)

The pho is very tasty but it is pricier than your average pho place, but the inside is nicer and they have lots of condiments on the side. The service also took a while today for some reason as we waited a while for our food, I really …
Great experience. Had gotten recommended this place from a friends friend. Was here on Sunday evening. Came to try the Bun Bo Hue, which is only served on Fri-Sun, however, at the time they were sold out of both the soup & spring rolls. Got the special rice noodle soup. Great soup, broth was nice and clean. Will definitely be coming back! Really nice staff.
Probably the best place to go for pho. Normally, when I go to pho places, the beef in it is pretty tough and dry but this stuff was actually edible for once. And when I ordered the grilled chicken rice dish, the chicken was cooked well and wasnt dry either.
Went for dinner at this restaurant with some friends and the food was delicious ????. The service was good not great. The server keep forgetting what we ask for ????. Otherwise it was a good outing.
I could say this is the best place to eat Hue beef noodle soup in Toronto. I’ve tried almost Vietnamese restaurant at downtown but I’ve never had a tasty Hue beef noodle soup like here. I recommend you should try one. You will not disappoint.
Great bun thit nuong! Their portion is huge and very tasty. I just hate that sometimes you have to queue just to get a table
Great atmosphere. Clean and spacious. Lots of traditional Vietnamese dishes. I enjoyed the Bun cha ca there.
I am already planning to come back here. The food was really good! It's a bit more expensive than other pho restaurants, but it's worth it. The Bun cha na noi was amazing!
Spring rolls were burned. I cound not eat it. So terrible ????????????
Good but not great. That being said, I did not try their pho or bun bo hue. Will return to try. …
The pho is very expensive we paid 50 bucks for two large pho plus one deep fried rolls. Giving 3 stars is because the soup is full of msg we felt extremely thirsty afterwards
Great Pho! Great beefy taste and fresh meat. Try the mango salad and the fried chicken with sticky rice as well! The iced coffee is also great!
The taste of food is very delicious and the appetite comes with eating. I would love to spend my meals here. Not only does Anh Vu Pho have various kinds of food but also they have nice servers.
Waited over an hour for the food and when we asked the servers where the food is, all we get is “it’s coming”… waited another 15 mins I then went to ask the manager, and it turns out theyve actually never made it. Manager shows no remorse and all he can tell us is the kitchen forgot to make it and there’s nothing they can do. Don’t come eat here, apparently they’re too busy to even check the orders when customers asked them multiple times to and can’t afford to compensate in any way. Just the worst experience with the worst service.
This place is legendary. Look at these beef ribs. Their broth is also very good. Price is slightly higher than regular Pho place but definitely worth it.
Nothing special about the food. Price way overpriced. Way too much MSG. Customers gives feedback and owner isn't happy about it. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY.! I re-write and give 3 ???? instead of 5 ????.!
Food is just okay to me, nothing really special. There are many other places with better Vietnamese food in GTA. Anh Vu even sometimes dont prepare enough food to serve and close earlier than closing time. Customer service can be bad because as far as I know, the servers dont receive your tips and they only get paid with minimum wage or even below minimum wage. Therefore I wont support a restaurant like this. Stop abusing your employees.
Best Vietnam food I have ever had. The meat is hard but not dry, great taste!
We order mango salad with grilled shrimp and spicy beef noodle soup (bun no hue). The mango salad was really good. The sauce is a bit sweet for us. The beef noodle soup was also very tasty just a little too spicy for us. It's not the restaurant's issue. It was us can't handle toe heat. We should have ask for less spicy when ordered. On the whole, it was a great experience!
We went around 4:30 on Sat. It was not busy during that time so we got sat right away and food came out quickly after order placed. Food: 4/5 I love how the food was not at all salty like other viet restaurants but the veggies in my fresh roll was not so fresh. Drink: 2/5 Came when we finished our meal. Service: 4/5 why would the server do quality check on only 1 table and ignore the rest?
Amazing place. Clean, organized, good presentation, quick service and the food tasted amazing and true to Vietnamese flavors, also portions are not tiny. The condiments are well stocked, side dished are totally fresh and plentiful. I really enjoyed my visit there. Apparently I am not the only one that loves this place, it was half ful and it was not lunch time. I was still there when I already decided to come back again in the near future.
North style vietnamese cuisine, this place has been around for a while but has new owners with a revamped improved menu. Everything I have tried is tasty and recommended. Special dishes on weekends, line ups appear long but moves fast. Open for in store dining and takeout.
Best pho with authentic taste (review from an actual Vietnamese person). I love the fact that they put a lot of green onions on their soup because that's a staple that really brings out the taste of the broth. I usually get S21 (Pho Tai Bap Bo Hoa) because I like the crunchiness of that digital shank cut. Their Bun Bo Hue is the most authentic in North America that I've had (I've lived in both the US and Canada). Get their special ones that are only available over the weekend. Their chicken wings with coconut sticky rice is also insanely good. This is the spot that Vietnamese people actually go to, and it's mostly packed every time we visit. Highly recommend.
Good food for authentic Vietnamese, but big problem from attitude of employees, please be respectful with your customer like we respect you, thank you
Food is really good, nice portion size. However, the service is slow, I had to repeat myself a view times but it could but that it's under new management and still figuring things out. I would definitely come back for the food!
Love the selection of Vietnamese food here ! We ordered their fish sauce chicken wings and it’s a MUST ORDER! As well as other unique items such as “Bun Cha Ca Ha Noi”. Although I feel I feel it’s a bit pricier than other restaurant, I’d still recommend !
very good and distinct flavour. A good bowl fills you up without feeling bloated or hungry. Nice condiments on side and good meat cooked nicely. The Hue Beef special is great.
This was my 2nd time visiting this restaurant. We like the soup and vermicelli as well as the spring rolls. We don’t really like their bbq chicken on rice. Pho Dao Bo bbq chicken on rice is the best. Weekend dinner is quite busy. The price is a bit more expensive compared to other Pho restaurant but I feel they give more meats and have better quality. We will come back for the soup and vermicelli. We will go to Pho Dao Bo for the rice ????????????
BUN BO HUE The best Vietnamese restaurant in Greater Toronto Area. Quality and service 10/10 Thank you Michael for the good hospitality The pho broth isnt so salty and its very light but very flavourful Their bunbohue is a MuST try Homemade specialty sausage Comes with all the special ingredients to make this dish as authentic as possible. Garnishes are always fresh Very clean place Thank you again !!
This is not the traditional Pho that I've had in the past. I did not enjoy the fish soup that i ordered, it has strong sour flavor. I will try a different one from the menu next time.
Very bad service from the manager and very expensive for pho. They seem to have wiped over 40 of their 1 star reviews over the past couple weeks which i did not know was even possible. Pretty low on their end...

Very very good experience. Me and my family went for lunch and oh my God it was amazing. Thankfully I got there in time for their special pho it was the last one!! It's a must try and price is also very good. The service was very fast and smooth. Will be coming back 100%
The food was good, that's why I provided stars. The service was terrible and should recieve 'minus star'. Both managers and staffs kept impolite faces and behaviors. They made us feel like we came there for food charity.
Pho is ridiculouly expensive $15.99 for a large which is really a medium size (should be $7.99). It just a noddle and soup, and the beef is low grade full of fat. Better to go to Korean restaurant just few feet away, they give you more meat and side dishes for cheaper. I will never go back to this place. And they only take cash, no credit cards, you know what that mean, they should be careful.
This is one of my favourite spots to go to for an authentic bowl of Vietnamese rice noodles . I love their soup base, it's very flavourful, lots of meat and noodles, simply perfect for the cold. I also enjoy that they allow you to choose from 3 different sizing for your pho. In addition to the pho, I find that their vermicelli dishes are quite good as well. The one Im always order is Bun cha ca Hai Phong. The vermicelli are perfectly cooked, it's soft, with a wide range of meats and veggies to go with it, from spring rolls to grilled beef/chicken/pork to sugar paste shrimp and so forth. Delicious!
Pho was great. The meats in the pho were super tender. None like it. Vermicelli was different than other places as the toppings came separately, nice to mix and match. Avocado milkshakes weren't as great. Overall pleasant experience.
There Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet (special hue style beef noodle bowl) was pretty good. The toppings were some I would only get in Vietnam like home made crab cakes, they did a home made viet sausage which was a nice surprise. The side veggies were nice and fresh too. Fresh mint and thinly sliced red cabbage. Have had there pho too and it's a less sugary soup then other typical pho places which I like, and there meat portions are good. Lot of soup in each bowl. Overall though one of the better Viet noodle shops, so if your shopping near Yorkdale and wanna have a nice meal after. This is a solid choice
One of my new favourite Vietnamese restaurants in North York. This business used to be open in Vaughan, but after a year break they opened here which is closer to me. The pho broth is great in flavour. Very balanced and not overly salty. My favourite topping for their pho is the well done beef. They give high quality cuts here, the well done beef or flank has a small line of fat so it’s like beef bacon. Everything they use here is quality. They even have paper covers for their chopsticks so it’s very sanitary. I’ve gone with friends and it seems everything in the menu is done well! Service is mediocre due to staff not being experts at English, but they all know enough to understand every request. The manager or owner David always has a smile on and wants to know more about all his customers. He’s very personable and friendly. Definitely my top 3 in all of Toronto! Give it a try!
One of my favorite pho place now, great service and food is flavorful, I really recommend this
Food was really nice and fresh tasting. Fast service
Picked a dish, ingredients not available. Picked another one, ran out of stock. Picked another one, asked for it to be substituted with something similar, ended up with another dish added on top at full price. The food is good, the waiters are nice. But the service and availability of the food not that great. Owner at the cash is uptight, has some attitude in the store.
First time visit will also be the last one. Prices were ridiculously high. Food tasted mediocre.
Food lacks value. Taste is typical, on par with competitors. When you compare to other Viet pho stores in the area their portions and ingredients are not as good. Do not get fooled by their store photos.
A hidden gem! SO delicious, and reasonably priced. Friendly and quick service.
Delicious and authentic Pho, similar to what I've had in Vietnam!
i have been going to this vietnamese restaurant for 3 years it is the BEST TASTING, BEST QUALITY OF ANY Vietnamese restaurant in GTA it is great flavors, consistently high quality, with very good service. the portions are generous , the Owner is friendly and always welcoming. i injoy Bun Chai which is not available at other restaurant go and enjoy Great Food george brody
This review is only on the price of the Pho. I ordered the XL bowl special beef noodle soup. This is more like large size at other pho places and to charge $18 for this is highway robbery. …
This is a different style of pho. I mean them adding the big slabs of meat on bone and then having another bowl to show you everything you’re getting, makes you feel like the high price tag is worth it. I mean it was tasty and different. …
Waited for over a hour at lunch, ordered mango salad, and got disappointed. They really could have done better. I can only say I have had better experience at other pho restaurants. This one doesn't worth a try.
This place has good food but terrible service and NO code of food safety. Today I went there for the second time, full of excitement. But no later than 10 minutes in to eating, I found a short hair floating in my soup! And when we asked the waiter to address this, they said nothing but took my bowl. After I told them I don’t want an exchange, they didn’t say anything to apologize or address the issue, or even let me know what’s going to happen next! Won’t ever come back AGIAN!
I love this restaurant so much.Good food & excellent customer service
The service here is top notch! We were a big group of 24 people without reservation, we walked in. They were very accommodating even though they were pretty full. They got all of our orders correct. We were even more very impressed when the food came out! Great presentation and tasted delicious! Highly recommend this place!
At first, great Vietnamese restaurant. I tried many dishes and they all got good Vietnamese taste and flavour. I really enjoyed my meal every visit. Two incidents: first, my wife's plate was missing a type of meat. As I used to manage a restaurant myself, that easily resulted in a free dish or 10% discount the next visit. When she brought it up to the owner/cashier, the owner asked his wife and her response was yes; they had an extra piece of meat that did not know which plate it supposed to be on. The discount was: please order the same dish next time and an extra piece of meat will be offered. Second: we ordered a Special Bun Bo Hue (weekend only). The bowl came out with a plate of vegetable. Normally this plate has bean sprout, water spinach, banana blossom. On that day, only bean sprout was there with no explanation.

Came here with my girlfriend and waited over an hour for her order to come. When asked about it to many different staff they all replied it was on its way without ever following up with the kitchen. At the end we just decided to complain to the manager mining the register and he was far from compassionate. My order came in a timely manner and even the table who came in 15 mins after us got their food and FINISHED before we knew what was going on. Being polite i waited with my girlfriend to eat and ended up with a cold bowl of noodles 1 hour in which had not been touched. Needless to say we cancelled her order and she shared a bowl with me without even offering a separate bowl to split my bowl with. Partial blame to the servers but I cannot get mad at a minimum wage employee, however where my anger lies is at the manager/owner? at the cashier who denied any compassion and would refuse to offer anything more than a 10% discount which is less than bloody tax in this province. He acted like nothing was wrong when the customer is always right in this situation and seems like he thinks his google rating is too high to give a damn over one customer (which is not the case because out of 4 tables around us 3 complained about missing, wrong, and long awaited dishes... Ruined the entire evening and for 18$/bowl for pho is robbery when there is much similar for the fraction of the price. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Want to enjoy with real Vietnamese foods taste ?! Here is a best place to pick and enjoy guys!!!! All Vietnamese restaurants in my feeling, they usually good or best only some dishes but not for all ones, but with experiences here, I still didn't even have to get any mood down to come.
Beautiful dishes and a friendly atmosphere. The best Bun bo hue I've ever tried. Will try Pho next time.
Terrible service. Servers would not acknowledge me but would only acknowledge anything my wife would say. Ordered spring rolls and didn't receive it. Wouldn't give me an order of the pho broth on it's own. Asked for a glass of ice water and there was lipstick all over the glass. Asked for 2 more ice waters on top (my mom and wife) and brought us a pitcher instead. Overall had a terrible experience.
Me and my friend come here mostly every weekend. Beside of they have amazing food, the way they treat the customer is freaking awesome. Best Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto so far ????
Just wasted 2 hours for waiting for my soup. We had to order the dish twice. First time the waiter lost a few items from our order, and once we were able to chaise him back, he reordered our dishes again. Another hour - nothing. But guess what, it was on our final bill. Food is OK, but service is terrible. They are extremely short of staff on the floor
The pho broth is extremely hot when arrived at the our table. The portion and meat ratio is perfect as some places give you more noodle than meat. Tables are spaced out at a good distance especially this time and they even have patios as well. We will definitely come back for more pho!!
Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Just please don't eat here unless you want to be in a bad mood for the whole day. My boyfriend and I wanted to try out some Pho after our shopping spree and we decided to eat here. A guy came to take order for us, and my boyfriend asked him about the cooking style here (if it was Northern or Southern style so that we can order the right dishes). Then he refused to answer with such a terrible attitude and refused to take order for us, he just literally walked away and let another guy take our order. The second guy was actually so nice and he answered our question so thoroughly. But I was still frustrated since the first guy was extremely rude and I told my boyfriend to leave cause I didn't want to eat there anymore. But he still took the order for pickup and later told me that even the owner was rude, that's probably why his employees acted that way. Never gonna come back here ever again, and I'll also tell my friends & family to stop eating here. To Pho Anh Vu, I know everyone has bad days sometimes but just don't do that ever again please, that's way too disturbing for me.
I was advised by a Vietnamese friend so went there already 3 times with family : One of the BEST Pho in town with authentic flavor from the country. Also tried Mango salade & Bún bò Hue quite hot for me but all is great ! Besides, service is fast and waiters are Kind. The only BAD thing : the kitchen smell that you carry with you when left the place. A matter of ventilation I guess...
Reserved good seats only for Vietnamese, not according to order of lineup
We came here under the pretense it was going to be OK based off of the reviews. I've been having pho for almost 20 years, I've had pho in Australia, the US and all over Toronto. I ordered the rare beef pho, my classic when ordering from places I haven't been. I do not say this lightly, this is the best Pho experience I've ever had. The broth is delicious, you taste the meaty bones it was cooking in. You see the colour, a beautiful, deep, rich, semi-translucent brown that tastes like you're drinking from the rivers of heaven. The rare beef melts in your mouth. I highly recommend coming here if you consider yourself a pho aficionado. I wish I could rate this place 6/5. Please, don't let yourself miss out on this delicious soup!
Randomly found this gems in the area. Husband and I are very glad that we have found a place where they have the perfect tendon and a spicy pepper that is spicy enough for him. Classic pho is great too. Service is amazing and even the tea is well flavoured. Very spacious and comfortable. No MSG as hubby is a human MSG detector and not having any MSG related reaction. Definitely coming back!
The dining experience was good with no line up ( we went on a Tuesday evening). Food was tasty but unfortunately they ran out of the rib pho that I wanted to try. We'll come back again to try that and the special bun bo hue ( fyi only available in the weekend)
The best Vietnamese food in Toronto
When I came here I decided to try the “Bun Cha Ca Hai Phong” as noted in many reviews that not many places in Toronto and it appealed to me. It is a must try if you’re looking to have something other than a beef pho. Definitely order a mango salad. You won’t regret it.
They got bought out by a younger family. Now the food is a lot better. Definitely the best pho in the Yorkdale area.
Dinner
We were very pleasantly surprised with the decor inside as we walked in. The place looks fresh and modern. Even more so, the food was delicious! We ordered the spring salad, a beef pho And a pork chop and chicken rice dish. The portions were huge and the food was fresh. The spring rolls came with an assorted herb and lettuce, as well as pickled carrots and daikon. This is meant to be eaten as a sandwich whereby you roll the herbs and the spring roll onto the lettuce leaf and dip it in the fish sauce. The combination of the herbs, the crunch of the spring roll and the umami from the fish sauce dip just makes it so enjoyable. Next is the rice dish. They serve their grilled meats on top of broken rice. The portions for the meat were also generous, very smoky in flavour. Last but not least is the pho soup. The meats were hand cut - because they are not thin like the frozen ones. The beef balls were handmade as they were not perfect spheres and they had chunks of tendon in it. Very tasty soup and it came out hot! All in all, I would definitely return and eat here. I’d try other dishes and maybe bring others here.
Tried the Rare Beef Noodle and Grilled Pork & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli Noodles. The food came fast and was delicious!
New Location, and New Menu which contains many of the classics like Pho, of course, but also some of the rare traditional ones like Bun Cha in different styles. The menu also contains some very welcome fusion additions like the Mango Mix Salad with Grilled Chicken. Regardless of how busy it gets, the owners are very customer-orientated and as important, the food is fantastic and can be customized to your preference. We are never hesitant in trying new items the owners recommend here because it's always good. Whether you live nearby or commute, Pho Anh Vu is strongly recommended.
My second time eating the food from this restaurant and I will never go back. I let the owner know there was a big dark hair in the food and basically called me a liar and was miss leading about what I ordered. The rolls were absolutely tasteless and disappointing. The meat was cold and also disappointing. I felt that I was treated poorly as a customer and I do not recommend this place.
Food is always excellent but service was sub par today. Being busy is not an excuse to ignore us for 20 minutes and not take our order. Tried to place order with server multiple times but she would not take it. Went inside to cashier to place order. Food came out promptly after that.
We came the restaurant around 7 pm when they were so bussy and full tables. We decided to order take out and thought will waiting long time because of long line up there and I order 8 dishes. But the wrapping guy did it so fast and correctly our order. We were forgot 1 package when pick up but that guy was chaising and gave us that package. In addition, the food is delicious and high quality. I love the broth and the meat so fresh, no words to described. I’ll invite my friends to come here next time. Very good customer service
I got rare pho, size small and an iced Vietnamese coffee. I needed to roll myself out, because I couldn’t stop eating. So generous with the beef! I will be returning with friends next time! A++
Amazing Viet food, with great portion. The place has a lot of space for familes and friends to enjoy. A few minutes away from Yorkdale mall so it is always packed
Platter had a variety of options for the perfect wrap, came with more than enough herbs and lettuce and a plate of vermicelli. The Hanoi style grill pork came in a broth like sauce that you can re-dunk your lettuce wrap for more flavour.
A good restaurant with good food, however the pricing is more expensive compared to other VN restaurants I have tried. Pho’s portion is quite generous so the Small size is recommended if you want to try other side dishes. Mango salad with …
Very clean, love the condiments at the table with fresh (very) hot peppers & chopstick & utensil covers. They must have just opened not too long ago because you can tell care is given with the details. The bun was good...they grill the shrimps without the shell - gives it a very smokey taste that I personally don't like. Not crazy about their spring rolls...Golden Turtle Restaurant rules all around. The best thing so far is their rice!
I am also a restaurant person. I have to say it's really Pho and the food here is pretty good and every time I come here to eat. The taste of the food is still absolutely preserved. Please rate a restaurant holistically and objectively. Don't turn yourself into a petty customer who only thinks about bad things. I rate this restaurant 5 stars. Good Job Pho Anh Vu
Great place to experience authentic taste from Vietnam. They used to be located in Maple, and recently moved to Toronto. My trip down to Toronto is worth the effort. They have accommodated a fair number of tables in a patio setting for outdoor experience. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Keep up the excellent job you guys are doing!
One of the best pho places in the city and a must-try
Good place to find authentic Pho. Food tastes good, prices are reasonable and the service is good.
Phenomenal Pho! The broth is rich, complex, and bursting with flavour. Noodles have a great consistency and texture. Spring rolls are made in the traditional way with rice paper. S-Rank
I have had extremely bad experiences for this restaurant so many times because of horrible customer service. Every time I came here I always chose to stay outside and it seemed to take it longer for the server to help people at the patio. During the meal, I wanted to call for extra dishes so that I called the server who was standing nearby, he saw me and made a signal for waiting a little bit. As the result, I have already finished but there was no one come to serve my table. I should have tell the manager about my dissatisfaction but I chose not to but when he make the payment for me, I didn't tip and he ask me "There is no tip ?" How rude was that behavior with customer ????
I was surprised in a good way and it seems to be because of the new management. I like to try different things so ordered what the waitress suggested an it was delicious. Turned out the young man at the till was the new owner who commented on my choice of such a traditional Vietnamese dish. We had a great chat. I'll definitely go again.
The most amazing pho I've had in my life. Their spring rolls were delicious. They don't skimp on the chopstick quality even. I love this place.
Meal type
Went in at around 5-6pm on a Saturday and were able to accommodate a group of us. Service is nice and friendly and the food was really great!
Great service, friendly staff and fresh ingredients. Pricey and cash or debit only. There special is the pho broth. Very rich and healthy. Not to much MSG! On weekend they have the special Bun Bo Hue spicy soup. Overall I will come back.
Dinner
Dirty place with terrible service and honestly smells horrid. Came here with the worst wait times for pho (ive worked at one it literally takes minutes to assemble the noodle). Owner at the till is terrible and is a cheapo who does not care about customer service and customer satisfaction. As you can read from previous reviews they never try to compensate and reply with empty sympathy notes. Why reply in the first place? Don't come here the food is decent but much better viet food and customer service elsewhere. Dont understand how this place has such a high rating when there are so many experiences like mine reviewed!
It's not worth the wait.. PHO is too salty and oily , putting a lots of green onion. The quality of their food didn't justify the pricing. Bad services.. Keep forgot what we asking for. also there is one lady that keep live stream . Not recommend this restaurant.
The pho is very good. It's a little bit on the oily side in terms of the beef broth, but it is REALLY good. Took one star off for the not very welcoming atmosphere, people working there are just borderline better than rude.
One of the best Vietnamese cuisine I've had in Toronto. Great quality of the broth and meats. Bun bo hue is probably the best and most authentic in the whole city, taste exactly like what you would find in Saigon. They also serve lesser known dishes such as bun rieu and bun cha, which you will rarely find at other places. Highly recommend for lovers of Vietnamese food!
I ordered 2 pho takeout today. It’s took a long time for waiting and I got a little angry. But very satisfied with the guy who wrapped up the food for me. He knew i was waiting long time so he said sorry and gave me an extra vegetable. And when I came home eating the food that so amazing. It’s worth for waiting, that’s why the restaurant is always busy. Will come back to try another dishes
Best Bun Bo Hue in the city, also the only place that gives morning glory and shredded banana shoots with the soup. Love the cha bo that is in the soup. They have a special version on the weekend that has crab and beef tenderloin. Always get the same consistency every time I go. Always happy and satisfied. Wife had the bun cha nuong. Noodles were fresh and beef was delicious. The old location in Vaughan was great but this place is even better!!
I think this place was changed from Viet House to Pho Anh Vu. Anyway, food is ok except that I was given a dirty fork with oil and rice sticking on it
One of the best places for pho in Toronto, bit pricey but you get what you pay for
Dine in
Amazing pho, small size is a heaping size and they even have chinese basil and pickled peppers where most places don’t. Place is big and clean and has a patio too. I usually stop by here when I go to Yorkdale mall across the street.
Food are decent. Comes with huge portion. The food itself deserves 4,5 stars. However the service made me upset. A lady (i guess she’s the manager/owner?) kept yelling at the staffs and took picture (or filmed) everyone eating without any consent. Sounds like she was live-streaming but not sure. It was so uncomfortable eating while hearing her yelling at the staffs who I believe were doing a great job. The staffs were super cute and helpful. They quickly got me whatever I asked for with politeness. When I tried to pay the male cashier showed different attitude towards me and another white couple standing next to me also trying to pay. He was so nice to them but completely changed his expression when he saw us. From smiling and asking if they were happy with their food and asked them to come back, to just simply “which tables?” and “here, change.” Why showing discrimination towards your own people meanwhile we are the greatest supporters to your business? Not coming back again.
What a beautiful views with amazing dish. We have called out Bún riêu cua and Phở to share with each others. In my opinion, the phở is just a okay part but the Bún riêu cua is a dynamite dish, unforgettable flavor which is reminded me of back home country with full of ingredients same as VietNam back home that none of other components have it. The staff is friendly; however, I think that if the staff more friendlier and start with a smile when they greeting with people( we can’t see your smile behind the mask, but we can feel it from you). Personally, if this point more improved, it definitely would make your business run out as a rocket. I would recommend for anyone who would like to tried here as a first time and I would recommend for my friend and family.
Excellent food, once again!
I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto but this restaurant is the most impressive with a lot of special Vietnamese dishes. Especially Bun ca hai phong, bun bo hue, bun cha ha noi and spring rows. The service and waiters are great as well that make me very satisfied.
Pho was one of delicious soup I've had tasted . However the manager at the counter is an arrogant jack. Pic taken last July 2020.
My fav dishes: the bun bo hue special on the weekend bc they make a few special sausages and meats for it. I also like their chicken wings. And a real treat is the bun cha Hanoi, not many places in Toronto offer that dish.
Really good Vietnamese food! My go to spot in North York.
Probably one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in all of Toronto. Bun bo hue is on point. The bun cha Hanoi as well.

One of the best Vịt Nấu Chao I have in for many years living in Canada. And I am happy they are doing well since the pandemic. You must try "phở", "bún bò Huế", and the special on the weekend. Kudo to Hana Vu for an amazing job to bring Viet foods to a different level.
Busy night, came to try their specials (Xin Quach and Bun Bo Hue) but unfortunately they were sold out of both. Also sold out of fried spring rolls. My wife and I ordered the Mango Shrimp Salad, Shrimp Roll (Goi Cuon Tom), Pho Dac Biet, and a Coconut Shake. Food was fresh and flavourful. Would come back again.
Chicken wings here are fantastic, it’s a must have whenever you come here. Both the Pho and the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet (weekend only) are great. I would rate this one as one of the top Vietnamese pho restaurants in Toronto.
Service
Best beef pho noodle soup I ever tasted! Excellent broth, beef pieces and fresh vegetables. Spring rolls and mango salad were also great! Friendly service and reasonable prices. Will definitely recommend to others.
Great food, very authentic taste. It does take a while to order and to get the food but its worth the wait! Family run place.
Authentic Vietnamese food. The owner of this restaurant is the as the one with the same name in Vaughan a couple years back. The food is delicious. It has pleasant atmosphere and does not feel crowded. It is a busy place even on weekdays. They do not serve as quick as other Vietnamese restaurants but it worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant to others.
Service…
The restaurant had a long line up at the evening but I still want waiting to try the food here. My friends recommended me to take bun bu hue dac biet (S4). The food was coming so fast and tasty. The quality is very good and worth with the pirice. Highly recommended
My goodness! The Pho here is amazing. I have been here 6-7 times and I love it everytime. I highly suggest it!!
My mum ordered Pho to go. They forgot the noodles. They told her she should just eat just the soup without any noodles. They told her if she came back for noodles they would give her some money back for the inconvenience. She came back and they said they could only offer extra noodles.
PLSS SOME OF THESE ONE STAR REVIEWS BE BIG MAD- I liked the staff here, everyone was very nice and hardworking. I also didn’t hear anyone yelling like ppl were saying on here but that’s just my personal experience, don’t bash me yall. Definitely will come again next time.
Finally I got this place after seeing many reviews on RED. We were waiting in a long line up here to get table. The food were coming a little bit late but we forgot everything after trying bun bu hue dav biet. That dish is delicious and can not compare with other viet restaurants. And the male cashier was talking so nice and gave us some macarons because of the food was coming late. Best restaurant in GTA and recommended for you guys
Good food tarnished by poor service. The food is great, the pho is really good. I'm disappointed actually since the Pad Thai is some of the best I've had, full of flavour, and it seems like they removed it from the menu on my last visit. However, the food came out at completely different times to the point where I was being urged to not wait, just eat. The wait staff asked if I was ready to order within the first five minutes, I was poured tea, and then never talked to again until I opted to get up and pay the bill at the counter. Disappointing experience I guess.
Good price, great pho broth and noodles, lots of seating areas and parking available.
Bun cha ca Hai phong was delicious???? Lots of fresh herbs, fish cakes has nice chewy texture and seasoned well, Crispy fried fish is the best! delicious and addicting. Noodle texture is perfectly cooked. Top quality in taste and freshness. 2 large beautiful cherry blossom trees inside the restaurant, gives a warm and cozy feeling. Will be back soon to enjoy more!
Meal type
We are still not comfortable eating indoors as we have an unvaccinated toddler so we were excited to find out that Pho An Vu has a small patio available. I read a lot of mixed reviews but I didn't let that hinder us from enjoying a meal here. We love eating great food (Who doesn't?!) so we are honestly hesitant to try new restaurants as we hate disappointing food. Thankfully Pho Anh Vu did not disappoint us! We went a little early in the evening and there was a steady hustle of people dining and getting take out. The patio area is a little small but very clean. After every guest leaves the table, the staff will quickly clean the table. Now, what was impressive was that even though the dine in area was bustling, the servers for the patio area were readily available and as attentive to the patio area as they were to the dine in area. This is usually an area that most restaurants fail at but not so here! Looking at the menu, it's clear that they have a good selection of popular foods. The price points were a little higher than the older more established Vietnamese restaurants. As this was our first visit, we kept our order simple: XL bowl of pho tai nam, L bowl of pho tai and an order of cha gio. Everything came out within a reasonable amount of time. They readily gave us a small bowl and a pair of scissors so we could prepare a bowl of pho for our toddler. He actually gets the first taste as we usually prepare his bowl first so all eyes were on him to see what his reaction would be. Despite his young age, he's got amazing taste in pho and will not hesitate to refuse subpar pho. Yes, I have been embarrassed many times when he refuses pho at restaurants and from family /friends. So we let out a sigh of relief when he proceeded to eat large spoonfuls of pho. At first glance, I was disappointed with the appearance of the pho noodles as they looked very flat and unsubstantial and there was a sheen of oil on top (I'm personally not a fan of the oil on pho but my hubby is). Do not judge a book by its cover! The noodles actually have some bite to them and the oil actually was quite flavourful (still a little too much for me but perfect for hubby). Even after taking noodles, broth and meat from both of our bowls to make our son's bowl we still had enough to eat from our bowls. Now ratios of meat to noodles and broth are important and Pho Anh Vu excelled in this area! The broth was bursting with flavour! I usually like adding the rare beef to the broth myself (mainly because I like checking the quality of the meat) but they had already added it to the broth. Not a problem though because the meat was fantastic! Overall, the pho is well worth the higher price. Now the cha gio was not my favourite but only because I'm a fiend for textures. They get an A+ for using the traditional rice wrapper and because it was not oily (this is often an issue for many restaurants). Now the filling was tasty but as I mentioned before, the texture was not what I expected. Traditionally the filling is tender but is slightly bound together with taro. With Pho Anh Vu the filling is looser and the shrimp is not as ground up. I did not taste any taro (maybe they didn't use any?) but because the shrimp is not ground up and the missing taro is not there to bind things up the filling easily falls out (especially if you're like me and not proficient with the use of chopsticks). This is really a matter of preference and not a deal breaker as the cha gio was still very tasty. Would we go again? Most certainly! Next time, we will try some of the other dishes. Everything that we saw being served, looked exactly like the pictures in the menu and smelled wonderful too. Hopefully, the food and service will be consistent as we fully intend to eat there again!
We ordered Bun Bo Hue, pho special and chicken wings. All three are a must-try. We were first a bit put off by the negative reviews but glad we came here! The service was great and food was very tasty. Glad we didn’t listen to the negative reviews…also it seems like all the negative reviews were bots and happened around the same time.
Service
I love all the food here as it’s 100% Vietnamese Authentic Dishes. The very first time I tried Pho Anh Vu, I was so surprised that Bun Bo Hue was exactly tasty as my hometown. The owner is really really nice. I also like Duck Bamboo Noodles …
Very good service and very friendly staff. Will come back again. Food was great too
Undoubtedly the best spot for bun bo hue and worth the raving! My search for the best bun bo hue is finally over. Thank you pho Anh Vu!
This might be one of the best bowls of pho in the city. It's a bit on the pricier side (10.50 for a large), but what you pay in, you get back in quality. The broth is on point. Noodles perfectly cooked. Their brisket and sirloin are a levels above what other restaurants use. Super tender. The place is very clean. Their chopsticks come sealed in a paper sleeve. The staff even have uniforms. I wouldn't be surprised if this store started expanding to other parts of the city.
Food was okay, good quality. When I ordered multiples item, the wait time is 30+ min to come out, not to mention that they keep informing us that they ran out of things. Quite disappointing!
We came from out of town to visit family and decided to go for Vietnamese food. Pho Anh Vu came highly recommended, and we went for the first time ever. To be honest, my when parents suggested dishes that we normally order at our local Vietnamese restaurants, my reaction was essentially 'ok, hope it's good...'. Was I ever mistaken! EVERYTHING was delicious, from the cha gio (fried spring rolls), to the pho tai (rare beef soup), to the bún thit nuóng (BBQ pork with noodle). Each dish was incredible. Familiar, but elevated to another level... If it helps, my young second cousins who had moved from Vietnam less than a month ago also said that the pho that they ordered was at least as good as back home, if not better. I will gladly return if I'm in the area. Thank you!
Easily one of the best places for Vietnamese cuisine in Canada. The food is authentic, quality consistent, portions generous and service is always good. Since phase 3 came into effect it’s been tough to get a table here without a long wait so make sure to time your arrival or just take out (like I do). Highly recommend their Hue spicy beef noodle, Pho, Hanoi vermicelli with grilled pork, fish noodle and duck bamboo noodle soup. Save some room for appetizers as well for their chicken wings and Vietnamese salads are delish. I’ve referred this restaurant to my Vietnamese and non Vietnamese friends, who in turns brought their families and friends. Happy to see a great business flourish.
Their staffs check our vaccine record first thing but their table setup isn’t the greatest, u can be seated right besides a stranger without much separation so it may be wiser to order take out. We ordered an extra large pho and shrimp roll to share. Their pho is nice but their shrimp roll has room to improve.
Good food but price a bit expensive compared to other resto offering Pho.
i came here with my friends because it was near yorkdale mall and the food was great! i don’t know why people are saying the owner is annoying lol but i thought she was really cute. she was giving out macarons and she was very sweet and friendly, you should definitely come here <3

BEST BUN BO HUE. Not over rated, I have not been able to stop thinking about it since I left 2 weeks ago. I'm Vietnamese, been to Vietnam and Hue. I still think it's the best. So fresh, litterally saw them making the cha by hand in the corner. Fragrance of the bun bo was unreal. Meat was so tender, no chewyness. Theres a reason people are saying its the best. New generation and old.
Pho was delicious and full of flavor. Ordered the small but the portions were very generous! Tried my friend's bun bo hue and it was also delicious (definitely ordering that when I come back!).

Service
Best spot for Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet which is only available on weekends. Delicious!!!!!! Sometimes you will feel rushed to eat and leave because they are busy and other customers " friends of owners wife" are waiting. They will come clean your table before you were finish and come ask you if you want to order anything. Which are hints that we needed to leave.
Had a really bad experience at this restaurant, the owners were super loud at the customers who were waiting in line. In 2021, there are still restaurants can’t take waitlist and asking customer to wait outside in the rain to get the spot? Are we living in the ice age? If you are reading this review, please find another place to dine in to find your own peace. Also, agreed to one of the reviews, there was a lady who kept taking videos or streaming without people’s consent…what is this place? A zoo?? THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT GOOD.
This is known in the Asian community as #1 Pho in Toronto. Its all over Chinese and Hong kong social media, so I came here today to see why. …
Good pho for a bit high of a price. Owner says the beef is made with real beef tenderloin.
Service
I like this place before, food is good. But today I find out services horrible, I call got take out order, I called for 3 order, I ask my husband go pick up. They give him two plastic bags, he thought that 3 order inside. When he got home, we noted that only 2 order. I called to ask him why, the owner said that what he hear. I say you have to listen carefully when you take orders. He was said I have to talk to him nicely, he yelled me lol. Unbelievable, wondering where he learn how to be customer service. He called me back I thought he apologized that he do mistakes, guest what? He yelled man. Unfortunately too bad. Horrible customers services
Wow fantastic! Servers were nice and worked fast. Services is awesome. My family and I go every week and every time I do, it's always something new I highly recommend this place! So delicious. Never miss.
I would not recommend this restaurant, I feel like there are better options in this area. The menu prices are quite high compared to other Toronto Viet restaurants. Sadly, the quality of their food did not justify the pricing. Their bun bo hue was extremely spicy despite a server telling me it was not. When I asked to get something different, they could not do anything to help me and I asked if they could bring me non-spicy soup so I could at least try to eat my food. I was billed $8 for a bowl of soup and they failed to mention it to me. I did not enjoy my food here and the pricing does not justify the bad experience I got here so I never plan on coming back.
Extra long wait for lunch... almost 50'...and no one came to take order...had to request to place order...lunch came out in 3 waves...first 2 at about 15 minutes after orders placed... following by 2 more 5 minutes later...last order didn't look like it was coming... again had to remind server...5th order came out about 5 minutes later... price went way up... however food is alright... might have to start looking around...
As you can tell by the photos… The beef rib Pho is PHOnomenal!
I visited the place on Thursday because of a friend's recommendation. I was told that they have the best spicy beef noodle in town. I haven't had the real taste of this dish since I came to Canada 2 years ago. I tried few places but always left with disappointment. BUT, this place really had the best spicy beef noodle in town!! I highly recommend you come and try it out. Many people only know Pho while ignoring the fact that Vietnamese "noodle" dishes are more than just Pho. This dish was top-notch as it had the taste that I have been searching for. Smoothly spicy, rich in flavour, seducingly sweet broth, appropriate greens, tender beef, and various toppings! Bonus point, Ms. owner was super friendly when she came to talk to us and ask for suggestions for improvement. That's a superb and sincere attitude that make me want to come back in the future.
My favourite Pho was so good .And I even like different food was good too
I am very selective with food and especially Vietnamese food. Pho anh vu has completely blown my mind! The food here is phenomenal! From the food to hygiene of the restaurant, every aspect Is perfect. We drive from Ottawa to Toronto just to enjoy the bun bo hue special and pho here. We would drive as early as 8 am to make sure we get there on time just to enjoy this authentic perfect food! Pho anh vu is absolutely the best Vietnamese restaurant we’ve ever had 100%!!????????????
Love this spot! Portions are quite generous, and flavours are very authentic. Our go to is the house special and their lemongrass chicken on rice. Definitely add a side of spring rolls! Service could be a little better at times, but it’s a …
The business seems really busy, even if it’s only for pickup now due to the lockdown… food was pre-packed….and the noodle soup was cold…???? I think this should at least have communicated to me in advance…..and it does not taste good..
Found this Pho place on Dufferin Place just open, very spacious, Food is above average, They also serve some North Vietnamese fare Prices are very reasonable Will definitely come back
Bon bo hue is very good
Best Pho I've had in the city, I'd also recommend the chicken wings as a starter. Service is great, taste was great. Looking forward to going back .
Fantastic pho. Broth very flavourful with plenty of meat. Would definitely come back. Patio seating was very nice with tables of 4 spaced apart
Food is just okay, and is way overpriced. Service is friendly from the student waiters but every time we cash out, we don’t get a good vibe from the man at the cash.
One of the best pho around, better than many vnmese restaurant that I've tried in Singapore. The mango shrimp salad is not very good though, not sour at all.
I'd rather a place have fewer menu options that are excellent than a massive menu that is mediocre. Definitely the case with this place, their menu is a bit smaller than most Viet/pho places but this is by far the best I've had in this part of the city. Staff are really friendly, and they make everything fresh and to-order.
Missing the food on our recent trip to Vietnam, especially Hanoi, so we decided to check out a new Vietnamese restaurant in the area (used to be Viet House). First impressions, space was clean and super spacious. Love that the chopsticks had the paper sleeves to keep them from getting dusty. Menu was huge and it was nice to see they serve Hanoi dishes. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and the Bun Cha Hanoi with spring rolls. Price is definitely more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants, but quality and portions makes up for it. Bun Bo Hue ($11.95) was steaming hot, flavourful and had tons of meat. The boyfriend also enjoyed their housemade sausage too. Bun Cha Hanoi w/Spring Rolls ($17.75) - the last time I had this dish was in Hanoi, Vietnam (our very last meal) and this did not disappoint. The nouc cham (fish sauce) had a nice flavour and there were a lot of veggies that accompanied the dish. Great portion. Servers weren't too attentive at times, but they were all still very pleasant. Heard they used to be in Vaughan. All in all, we'll return and glad this place opened up in the neighbourhood!
Came to Pho Anh Vu on a Saturday for lunch and was not dissaspointed. We did have to wait outside in a line for a bit but it moved fast. We ordered the bun bo hue, cha gio and the com tam 3 mau. Highly reccomend those dishes and I'm excited to come back and try other dishes
Typically the more run down the pho place looks, the better the pho tastes. But this place was both tasty and clean. It was also crowded AF which I guess means the ingredients are fresh. You also know its legit if there's a lot of viet speaking people eating there. Only downside is there's only 1 choice of noodles for the Pho (usually there's thin or thick/fresh) The staff come and takes your order (compared to you writing it down yourself) and you need to go up to pay at the cashier. Also lots of parking outside.
Great food, great drinks, service was alright, bit pricy for what it is.
Wow Amazing food and great customer services prices are justified...
I can understand it’s busy during the lunch time but the customer service is horrible. We find hair in our soup, but we didn’t receive even one word of apology. (That soup is not charged)
One of the best pho soups I’ve ever had on the city. I also highly recommend the mango salad. Great atmosphere too.
Amazing food ! Very kind staffs, the restaurant was really clean as well! I would highly recommend this pho place ???? :)
One of the best Pho in Toronto. You must try Pho Tai and Bun Bo Hue (spicy but extremely delicious) when you come to this restaurant. The staff is professional and friendly. Definitely come back for more. I’m highly recommend this restaurant.
