You know that we don't usually stop to write scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Italian restaurant.
Great meal. Great value. Attentive service.

Me, my mom, my two girls and baby boy had a great lunch today at the old spaghetti factory. The food was great, insanely affordable, and I have to say our waitress Jessica was my favorite waitress I've ever had at any restaurant!
Dinner
We really like this place . Decently priced and good food . ????
It was my birthday on Sat-but this was the first day we could go out to a restaurant in 3 months! The drinks Sangrias were awesome and the patio was lovely-the food fabulous.
Good food, great prices! Went with a large group, 6 kids and the waitress was very nice and patient with them. Definitely a family friendly restaurant.
Daniel is amazing!!! Fantastic server, he went above and beyond in every aspect. Food was almost as incredible as Daniel! We will for sure be back!
We love to go to The Old Spaghetti Factory at the Forks once or twice a year. It is inexpensive and the food is delicious and abundant. The service was pretty good. Sometimes staff is overwhelmed but despite the place being full, our server, in the lounge, handled it well. We did ask for a different table after being placed at a table for two right beside the kitchen door. Having made a reservation two weeks in advance, we thought that was not right!
Always a hit with the gluten free people in our family! Food was tasty, as always, and great value.
Evan served us for lunch on monday afternoon and was a fantastic server. not only was he quick and friendly, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our picky needs. thanks again Evan!
The restaurant wasn't very busy but service was not good. We asked for water along with our drinks and we never got it. She said she'd be right back with more bread and she wasn't. The soup was barely warm. We finished our drinks halfway through the meal and never received anything else to drink.
Haven't been here for a while. Food is still very tasty although the portions definitely seem to have shrank from what I remember. I do enjoy the sourdough bread before the meal, choice of soup or salad, and ice cream for dessert that is all included. Server was ok. Efficient although not overly friendly.
We were 7 people and they made us wait for more than an hour, we were told wait time was 30-45 minutes. Very rude staff at the reservation/front desk and she was calling people who came after us. It seems we were being punished for being a large family because that the explanation she gave when I ask why. Not happy with the service????
Always a great place. Two people can eat for under forty dollars and be satisfied. Or you can indulge and spend I think the most of twenty two dollars on a single meal not too shabby, considering it is just pasta they do a decent job of it. They also manage to get you in and out without feeling rushed ever which is a big plus.
I’ve been going to the old spaghetti factory for as long as I can remember… in fact, my parents were the first people to have their wedding reception there! But I’ve never left a review for this beautiful place! So yesterday, while I ate my delicious Browned Butter and Mizithra cheese spaghetti, I made a mental note to give a review. It just so happened that last night my service was incredibly amazing. My boyfriend and I had just gone skating and were talking at the table about our day, not paying attention to the time. Then the manager comes up and takes our order and apologizes for the long wait. He presented us with a discount on our next trip there. We were both beyond impressed with this kind gesture. This is just the sort of service you can expect at OSF. Like I said, I’ve been coming here my whole life and I have no plans to change my ways. I highly recommend a date night, family dinner or a gathering with friends at the Old Spaghetti Factory!
I have a theory about this place, and it’s that they want you to explode after eating such generous portions. They are as loaded as they are delicious. The bread is great and the butter, you’re basically puttig a cloud on your bread. If you can upgrade your soup to a clam chowder, I cannot rexommand that enough, it is unique in every positive ways. Their specialty lasagna was also very good. Overall, the quality of the meal I just had is incredible for the price.
I'd like to start by saying that I always tip. Always. But not tonight. I have been frequenting the Old Spaghetti Factory for years. And this is the first time that the service was so lacking and disappointing. Although we were seated right away, it was 20 minutes before anyone approached our table. Several other tables were seated and served bread and their drinks before anyone gave us a second look. Finally, a young man in a blue shirt (obviously not a server) approached our table and asked if we had been looked after. I said no. He asked what he could bring me and I said water would be nice.He returned with water and bread and took our order. Appetizers arrived about fifteen minutes later followed by the food about five minutes later. Other than asking if I wanted cheese on my pasta, we never saw our waitress again. Don't get me wrong, she helped everyone else around us but never batted an eye in our direction. Eventually the young man approached us again and sensing my disappointment and frustration, he returned with take out boxes and our bill. I did NOT leave a tip. I have worked as a server and I learned that a tip is EARNED. This young lady certainly earned nothing tonight. Not sure if I will return.
Server was very friendly and great with my kids. Food was delicious. Prices are great considering you get bread, drinks, salad, and ice cream included with all meals. My daughter's favourite place to eat!
Been here a few times. Service is really good and the food is even better. I would definitely recommend The old Spaghetti factory as s must visit.
A family dining experience done right. The service is generally very prompt, with pleasant hosts and servers. The prices are very good compared to most other table service restaurants, and even some of the more premium fast food stops. Even the bar menu is very reasonably priced. Our food was quite tasty, as it consistently is, the kids menu options will satisfy even a picky eater, and the meals come with a small bowl of ice cream, either spumoni or vanilla. Two pasta dishes for the adults, two kids meals, and a few soft drinks was barely over $50 after tax, before tip. Make a reservation for large parties or if you don't want to wait during prime dining times. Parking is no longer free at The Forks.
Good food and great service.
Service
Always amazing fast and friendly service. They are doing social distancing and covid cleaning very well! Never have any complaints about the food. Well maybe one, I'm very sad they removed the lemon pepper chicken off the menu. That was my fave.
Ordered two Chicken Parmesan dinners for pick up. When I arrived, a bag was sitting in a box at the front (not in the kitchen under a heating lamp). They only made one dinner although I ordered two. A second dinner was made while the first one sat out on the counter. The host eventually took the bag to the back then brought it out again five minutes later with both dinners. I commented about the first one now being cold but was told that the containers were good at holding heat. While the staff apologized, they never offered a discount for the inconvenience. As a customer, I do not feel that I should have to ask for that, it should be a common courtesy. I brought the food home immediately (a 10 minute drive). The meals were horrible. The bread was so hard, we could not eat it, one salad had large pieces of rotten lettuce and the fries, as expected, were cold, dry and old tasting. As our first impression of this restaurant, we were so disappointed in this meal and service, we will not be going back.
Loved the food, server was very helpful and acconimodating. They stayed open a little later for us since we were having a good time. Everything went over well. Good price for the food
Mediocre "Italian" food. I expected it was going to taste better given the good rating on google this restaurant has. I ordered a Penne with Chicken w/ Minestrone Soup and a Pot-Pourri Spaghetti Green Salad with Italian Dressing. Everything was tasteless. The pasta and the quality of the ingredients and preparation, in general, weren't very good. The soup felt like canned soup, the salad like those pre-packed salads you get in a grocery store, and the bread was simple and ordinary.
Service was horrible. The Server took forever to come to our table and take our orders. Very standoffish and rude when I asked questions about dishes, when the last time I visited this restaurant was when I was a kid. He did not even stop by to ask us how our food was. He also took forever to bring parmesan for our meal and a food container for leftovers - it turned out the serving stations where they keep all their supplies was right behind our booth. My friend and I also did not receive our ice cream for dessert, so we did not even get the full meal that we paid for. Very disappointed and expected better for a restaurant that is well situated at the Forks.
Best place to eat a good pasta food. Price is acceptable and they offer a hole course
It was my first time going at the Spaghetti Factory and it was nice. They could do better on the meatballs. Outside of that, I love how they served bread where you can cut it,That was a cute touch especially with the choice of garlic butter and regular butter. Their Sangria's are to die for!!! It was super delicious! I would go back definitely for the Sangria and try different types of spaghetti.
Always fire. Always there when u wanna eat but don't know what
Dinner
I always love this spot. The food is great comfort food and extremely well priced. Their wine list is awesome as well! The servers are always very professional, polite, and cheery. I've only ever had a problem here once, but it was a new server so I'll give her that one. ????
Our server was excellent.. Everyone we saw was properly adhering to Covid protocol. My stuffed pasta was slightly overcooked and a bit dry-- and so I would rate 3 star.. Salads crispy and tasty.. Everyone else seemed satisfied.. so I guess I'll up the rating to 4
Food was good (server recommended the tomato based sauce over the cream based for my seafood & pasta). Server was accommodating, however we as a table waited for 45 minutes before we got bread/apps, 1.5 hours before everyone but myself got our main course and another 25 minutes before I received my food to only put it in a to go box because my infant daughter had been sitting around for almost 2 hours. Server was good about it and it was adequately busy but still a bit disappointing. Made for a good cold lunch the following day I suppose.
Had a family dinner at the Forks, excellent service, food, atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great place for Italian food ,super service and courteous staff!
Really great value here. Salad and hot fresh Bread, included in every meal, as well as Coffee or Tea, and Ice Cream also. Consistently tasty and unlimited refills on pop. Really nice family restaurant experience as usual.
Helpful good servers, lots of variety on the menu for pastas, comfortable seating
Service was a little slow today however the food was tasty and this restaurant always offers the best bang for your buck!
One of the few restaurants that can accommodate small to large groups. Service was great, the food was good. The included soup or salad and desert makes this a great deal for families. Not to mention the free fresh baked bread!
Never tried the restaurant before. Enjoyed myself and the service was fast. I went in blind and was surprised. Thank you for the hospitality.
I was there Friday night and had to wait 40 minutes for a table...I used the washroom while I was waiting.. it was disgusting! (Toilet full of all bodily functions..that wouldn't flush.. the washroom obviously hadn't been checked by the staff in hours). We were a party of 3...and we were seated in a room that had a party of 40 celebrating an occasion... it was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other other with out yelling. After I was served my meal... fettuccine alfredo it didn't have enough sauce.. by the time the server came back the others I was dining with had eaten their whole meal (she was too busy....catering to the party in the room.. so we were not serviced well) I asked for more sauce on my pasta. At this point I just boxed it up and took it home... VERY... Very.. Very disappointed in my dining experience.. ( I traveled 4 hours for this diner).
Super family-friendly, large portions. The Italian soda is really good.
Excellent server that we had in terms of timing, listening skills and had a good sense of humour! Reasonable price for what you get. They sing to you if it's your birthday in case if anyone does not know.
Food was great and the service was really good.
The food is okay. I had the tortellini but it could have been hotter. But it's a complete meal as you get a little loaf of warm bread with plain butter and garlic butter, you get a choice of soup or salad, your main meal, ice cream and tea or coffee. The interior of the restaurant is quite neat looking. Bathrooms are clean. Service is usually good.
Dinner
Server was Aaron, he has nice glasses, eager to help. I ordered a ceaser salad with chicken and it was great! The only thing(s) is that my girlfriend wasn't asked for a refill on her water throughout the whole lunch nor were we asked how everything was tasting.
Food was fantastic and is consistently good no matter when we go. Priced fairly too. Service was top notch during today's visit. Our waiter, Stedroy, was polite, genuine and friendly. My fiance and I were extremely impressed by his service. Stedroy is a shining example of what customer service should look like.
Food was good. Service was better, Charles was great.
Food is excellent. Endless bread and butter. Friendly service. Downside is that wait times are usually lengthy, especially evenings and weekends.
Great deals on the lunch menu and amazing service. The bread and complementary dessert is always a great add.
I recommend to put reservation, because waiting is a bit long. The food was good. When you order “it’s all included” means you’d get a soup/salad for appetizer (can upgrade your salad and soup as well) and ice cream for dessert. The bread and butter is unlimited i think, it was good too. Entrées were well served. Grilled chicken were so good. Portion is quite big if you’re not a heavy eater. Our waitress was so nice and even gave us extra scoop for the ice cream. :) Not very pricey too. Overall, good place to dine with family and friends. :)
Meal type
My kids love going here as it's one of the few places they'll get dessert at the end. The atmosphere and servers are great, and the fresh bread to start the meal is always a treat. The reason I am giving 3 stars however is that the main courses are quite inconsistent. I've had some meals I've very much enjoyed, but also meals that were incredibly bland or where something tasted off. It seems like some of the dishes taste different each time. The value is always fantastic, but the main course is a bit of a crapshoot.
I absolutely love this restaurant. Whenever my Italian taste buds are tingling, my first thought is the Old Spaghetti Factory at the Forks. I've eaten there well over six times. They have perfected spaghetti in such a way that I don't enjoy it when I make it myself. The atmosphere is always comfy and upbeat. The staff looks as if they aren't even working, but simply enjoying their time. On more than one occasion some one at another table was sung happy birthday and I loved it. Yes, many restaurants sing happy birthday, but straight-up Italian-style!? If you haven't tried it, or haven't been there in a while, make it your next family dinner night. You won't regret it.
The servers are amazing here. I’ve been here twice and both the times the servers were very polite and followed all covid-19 protocols. Love the place and the food is good too
While our server was great, the decor was dated and dark, and the food was.. subpar. And definitely not worth the cost. It's a poor substitute / copy of East Side Mario's down to the 'similar' bread, but limited. Won't be back to this one or any other locations.
Terrible service terrible food!! Took my 1 year old for lunch. Our waiter took 30 mins to take our order! Another server had to bring our food as ours forgot it. I had to ask another server for my drink as again ours forgot. Not once did he come check to see how food was or see if we needed anything. Took another 30 mins after to get our bill I again had to ask another server. When ours finally came he asked why we barely touched our food I told him it was horrible cold no flavour tasted like watered down tomatoes. He didn't seem to care or offered to take meal off bill. Don't waste your money my 1 year old could make better pasta.
Family friendly. It's quick and easy and fairly consistent. Don't go expecting the best meal of your time at the forks but go knowing that you don't have to deal with the food court in the main building.
The food was great but service wasn't up to par. It was fairly empty when we went in (2:30pm) yet took over ten minutes to order our drinks. The food quality was great, it was filling and a good value for the price.
Service
Very much enjoyed my wet salad, bread crumbs, and butter Disappointed that my companion's meal was better than mine …
I have lots of childhood memories of this place. As an adult I order the mizithra cheese with browned butter sauce for my spaghetti. The best thing about this place is, everything is included. Bread, a starter (soup or salad), the main course, dessert (ice cream) and tea or coffee. The bread comes out fresh and hot at the table. The salad was ok. We upgraded to French onion soup for the other starter ($2.50 surcharge). The soup broth was great but it did lack a bit of cheese. Service was very good. The only thing is our server didn't mention how much the surcharge for factory size was. Brand of tea they use is higgens and Burke. This location is inside the Johnston terminal, in the forks. Note: we upgraded to factory size. Cost to upgrade is $7.95. so I guess that's just them adding a second entree on to our bill (it read as second entree) Food is solid. Pricing is fine to good. Had the factory sizes been less I would have given it a better rating because they are close to a 5 but missing just a touch. Still this is a solid choice for dinner for those who want a full meal with all the extras.

My family had a very enjoyable experience. Ordered lasagnas and fettuccine and the food was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really like that soup/ salad, ice cream, garlic bread comes included in your order. Total $61 for family of 4
Margarette was our server tonight and she was really great and professional! She didn't know all the information about drinks but that was okay because she took the initiative to find out and answer our questions. The food was amazing and made for a great experience on our first night in Winnipeg

Excellent Italian restaurant! I had the chicken and bacon Alfredo ravioli and it was super delicious. And the best part is that bread, salad/soup and ice cream were all included in the price (around 16 dollars). Will definitely come back!
Had a really good experience with a coworker we sat on the patio and had really great and friendly service! Our waiter was very kind and informative about the food we were ordering! The food was also really good and great portions! I would recommend sitting on the patio and enjoying the weather and good vibes and food!
Wonderful place to share and eat with friends and family. One the best place to eat pasta in Winnipeg
I usually love the spaghetti factory. We had a birthday party here this evening and had horrifically slow service, even though the restaurant was empty. We had to ask to order after 40 minutes, everything was the same speed for the duration of the visit. It took 20 minutes for the bill, she had to change them twice after the 20 minutes. She didn’t tell us there was tip added, some of us didn’t notice and double tipped, found out later. Quite a racket. Like I said, I love spaghetti factory, but am not sure I will return to this one.
I love this place. Great price for the food, and dessert is included. The bread is amazing! But I am writing this review because I have recently scheduled a reservation for my birthday here. And Stephanie who I spoke to multiple times (I had to change the time then change the amount of people coming) was always so very nice and able to help me make the appropriate changes. So thank you for making the stressful event of planning a big family dinner a little easier!
Great all in one meal. Very attentive service.
I have been going to the Old Spagetti Factory for 45 years, from back when I was a child. For a good report card, my parents let me choose a place to go for dinner and I always chose here- well, bach at their old location on King St. It was always a real treat! That being said, I was very disappointed the last few times we have gone. Seriously, spagetti is cheap- don't give me a small cup of spagetti literally drowning in sauce. And the sourdough is your hook- don't make the customers beg for the garlic butter over and over again. Might be a good idea to actually fill the butter containers too, instead of using a melon baller to put a tiny ball of butter in the container. Finally... charging a dollar per refill on the raspberry lemonade? This used to be my favorite place to go. Between tiny portions, poor service, and now HAVING TO PAY FOR PARKING, I think this was the last visit from us.... too bad, they used to be great.
Love the mizithra. Loved going to this restaurant. They feed you and get you out quickly. It's awesome that I can order it from door dash. Its definitely one of my favorite foods ????
I've been going here for years and it's absolutely amazing. Great price per portion, the atmosphere is comforting, staff are always friendly and accommodating and even during their busiest hours I've never had more than a 45 minute wait. The french onion soup is here is especially delicious for a pasta place.

Nice atmosphere. Tasty well portioned plates. Friendly prompt service.
Restaurant was busy for a Monday nite. This did not affect our wait time or the service. Our server was very pleasant & had drinks & food out in a timely manner. Food was tasty, large portion sizes! Overall a very enjoyable meal at a reasonable price.
Great place for lunch, dinner. Located in the Johnston Terminal of the old Cn station. Food selection has something for everyone and fresh bread and butter served even before you order. Friendly staff and great prices make this place a favorite.
Really enjoyed our meals here. Went twice on our trip in to Winnipeg and the food was consistently excellent and there is something for everyone even my oldest boy who only eats chicken fingers no matter where we go. Service was great the first time and passable the second, I attribute this to short staff and covid related issues though as they were not slacking by any stretch. Will definitely go back as the whole gang loves this place!
Typical Old Spaghetti Factory experience... predictable food quality, and lively atmosphere. Service was lacking, as we had troubles with drink refills. Extremely busy... plan on making reservations for large parties, or prepare for a substantial wait.
Have been here a few times and your server really makes it or breaks it. My last time, we had a party of eight. Bang on service and no issues with any quality. The potpourri spaghetti has to be my new favorite!
Well i tried the alfredo seafood and i really liked it and the bum bum shrimp appetizer was really worth the taste ! Whereas the soup based on tomato was really not good! The restaurant has an amazing vibe for a date or romantic outing!
One of my favorites! Great food and the bread you get before your meal YUM even more yum I you put some garlic butter on there.
Meal type
To start, the positives are the price and the additional extras like the bread which was never in short supply. Sadly the server was below average, they were very slow and uninterested. The food was average, the lasagne has a taste one would expect from a canned pasta. The prices are good compared to the competition.
They do an excellent job of serving great food in a safe way. Plenty of social distancing and very friendly staff, can't wait to visit again!
We organize our event and had excellent experience. I appreciate the staff's work to handle our large parties and make our event go smoothly. The location is central to everyone and was good to sit down, eat and enjoy ourselves after a long day outside at The Forks. Thank you to Management and staff for their hard work. Look forward to working with them for next year's bonspiel. Cheers
Service was good, very friendly. I had the spaghetti, which considering the name of the restaurant, should be amazing. It was bland, meat sauce seemed to have no spices what so ever. Flavorless, just nothing. So disappointing.
While the waiter was pleasant enough the food not good. My daughter ordered spaghetti with mushrooms and red sauce. Sauce was watery to the point that it looked like soup under noodles. My husband's spaghetti with breaded chicken was dry and pounded out, it was not much thicker than paper never mind the child size portion.. Rip off price at $18 a plate. My lasagna was flavorless, small portioned and no filling between layers of noodles. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Over priced and food is worse then what you would get from a can. Very disappointed. Thumbs down!!!
First time at the old spaghetti factory in Winnipeg on a busy Saturday night. Our server Marga provided Rochelle and I with the best service! It’s nicely located across from Inn at the Forks. I loved the gluten free options. For dinner I had a Caesar salad with no croutons, non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri (virgin), roasted grilled chicken with gluten free pasta and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Rochelle had the garden salad, martini, chicken parmigiana and spumoni ice cream these were from the “it’s all included” part of their menu. Great tasting food for a great price. Thank you Marga! You are awesome! ????
Although they are almost always packed, they do a fantastic job of keeping the ‘family friendly’ atmosphere alive in the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, good portions, attentive servers every visit; no wonder you guys are a Winnipeg staple :) Thank you for all the hard work you do to keep Winnipeg on the map!
Food, drinks, service were perfect! The waiter was especially nice and gave extra bread, which is a fav of mine. They even paid attention to the sanitation. ????
It is a wonderful place to try thats for sure I liked my salad. usually restaurants dont become too creative when it comes to salads. Here salads were relatively better than anywhere else. I didn’t have pasta but my friend said it was not that wow but overall definitely a great experience there.
Great meal at a great price. Had poor service during this visit, reminded our waitress multiple times that we were out of drinks and had to ask more than once for bread even when told she was getting some. Were told we had 2 waiters and only one appeared to be helping our group.
This place is great, we spent our first date here! =)
I was disappointed by the lasagna. I've had it before and it was okay. This time however it was a very dry dish. The cheese on top was amazing, nice and crispy. The dish just didn't have enough sauce. One thing I would like to see changed, is the salad. It kept spilling onto the table because I got it on a small plate. Salad should be eaten from a bowl.
I have been to OSF many times with friends and family. It’s definitley a favourite. Service is always great, and the food is FANTASTIC! And you can’t beat the price when bread, salad, ice cream and coffee are included with the price of the meal. Can’t find that anywhere anymore!
He had never been to the Old Spaghetti Factory so I decided we were going there for supper and had friend Marie join us. We were seated quickly, window table with beautiful view of the walkway with sparkling lights. Our server Ian very patiently took our orders which was hard to decide on. Fresh sourdough loaf brought right away. Grandson ordered the classic spaghetti and meatballs, I had the spinach salad and Marie had the shrimp scampi. So good, topped off with Spumoni ice cream for dessert. Nice low lighting, clean environment, friendly staff, can’t wait to go back again. You gotta eat here...
Service
We love this place it’s a Winnipeg institution. Love the soup and bread and my kids love their spaghetti. It’s a fun day trip and kids love it.
I'm shocked to say this might be my favourite restaurant in Winnipeg. The house red is amazing and a great price and where else can you get a starter, main, and dessert for such a good deal. Never had a bad experience.
Service
Food is always amazing (had muscles and a pasta dish), service was very quick considering the size of our group :) and very pleasant. Beautiful restaurant, lots of history to this place, beautiful stained glass everywhere and antique-ish furniture
We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for our sons birthday. On a Friday night We had a table of 7 and we sat inside a private little room. Our server Joshua was so great. Always checking on us, he had perfect timing for bread and drink refills. Our meal came very hot and great tasting. Thank You Joshua. From the “Ice Cream Lady”
Been to this place quite a few times from lunch and diner. The atmosphere is always nice and the staff polite, friendly and attentive as much as it needed. The food is very good and the price to quality ratio is excellent. Will go again for sure.
We love the old spaghetti factory! Very good value for the price. The decor needs an upgrade but we'll be back for the food. We had great service as well.
large party (20) for family birthday. Several ordered appetizets, drinks. One order of onion soup (extra charge) cold needed reheating, lacking flavour. Meals satisfactory although I was last to receive and only had spinach salad. Salad hardly any feta or goat cheese advertised and almonds not pecans. Thai curry lacked heat. Bills for meals mixed up and incorrect. Never did receive included coffee although asked well in advance
Great service! Great pasta. They even have Beyond Meat meatballs!
Always love old spaghetti factory....good food, good service, eye pleasing restaurant, unique decor....love it
Service was good. We were made to wait for 20 minutes, despite many tables opened. I counted 8 with no one sitting, and there was a line behind us. Unsure what the hold up was. Server didn't mention up charges on certain items, or did not make them apparent when ordering. If you go here, make sure to read the menu finely to ensure you are getting exactly what you are purchasing. Server also failed to bring out the desert that is supposed to come rolled into the meal. Food was good, and otherwise service was good. Just ensure you read up and prepared to game the system, else the servers will game you to save a buck.
I usually eat here once or twice a year. It's tasty and there's a decent amount to choose from, so everyone should be able to find something they like. It was quite busy during our last visit but our server still offered us good service.
Great prices! Chicken Fingers were delectable & and our server Charles was attentive and a delight to talk to. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable treat! Having ice cream and coffee with our meal was also a total bonus!
Great family friendly place with fantastic food. Not only did they have excellent pasta but amazing baby back ribs. There service was fast taking only 12 minutes in total time to get our food and drinks. However when I asked for more bread it didn't come until after our food.
Came in, customer/guy in a wheelchair told the person at the front that he had been waiting for a table outside but that other people who came later than he did were given a table before him. The person at the front didn't really care, was very passive and did NOTHING active to try to make amends. My friend and I then asked for a table outside, were told that it would take 15-20 minutes. Over half an hour later (maybe even 40 minutes) when we went in to follow up, one of the people at the front said she "got busy" to let me know that it would be a further wait. Really? Is a 30-second call too much to ask for for people who have been waiting over half an hour to eat? She then said that there were 9 people waiting to eat outside and I asked if they came before us. She only responded with "they have been waiting for some time", which I take to mean they came after us. Makes me wonder if they would prefer to seat a larger group since it brings more money in than a group of 2. Never ever going there again. What they did to the man in the wheelchair should have been a red flag to us. Poor service.
Ambiance is great. Food is meh. Sauce tastes like it comes from a can. It seems like every menu item uses this same sauce, so everything mostly tastes the same. It is a large place with a nice area for larger groups. The Italian style ice cream is a pretty good choice for dessert.
I ate lunch size spaghetti with meat sauce. I needed to put salt. I expected more flavour from the meal. The soda is free refil.
One of my favorite places to eat. The food is fantastic and so is the people. In the winter you can sit in the sun room and watch the skaters skate by. It's quite something. In the summer you can sit in an old trolley car. Amazing
Amazing food and a gorgeous place over all! A bit expensive, but it is Italian food. Highly recommended and the service is great!
I’m not usually the type to leave bad reviews, especially since I usually love this restaurant. But that being said I just placed an order by door dash and waited an hour and 15 minutes for it to arrive. Everything was subpar at best. I ordered a “fresh broccoli” it came cold, barely steamed and with no seasoning/cheese or anything. I’d probably be more likely to dine in next time as this order was disappointing.
I had the mushroom ravioli. It was good but they cheapened it by using synthetic bacon bits. Even hormel would have been better.
Definitely try the Bam Bam Shrimp. Loved it.
I always have a great experience here. We tend to go for lunch and it’s a great deal. Warm bread, a soup or salad, entree, ice cream and tea or coffee. I upgraded my salad to a Caesar and my entire bill was still only $15.20. Our server today was spectacular.
An old style atmosphere, yummy food and helpful service are what's good here. The bountiful fresh bread and garlic butter are great add-ons. And you get ice cream with your meal! Who doesn't like that!
What a great place for family or date night. Not expensive, the food is good.
Food was outstanding. Had the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and minestrone soup. Soup was nice and hot, pasta was moist and delicious and it came with free sourdough and icecream. Service was friendly and there was a fantastic selection of gluten free items for our allergic member.
Really loved the Bam Bam Shrimp and Clam Chowder. There were 5 of us today and we all really liked the meals here. It wasn't too busy, and I like the atmosphere in this place. Waitress was really nice, too.
Food is good, not amazing but they specialize in large groups...and WELL! They had our group of 25 in and out in 2 hours with no mix ups. They kept the bread coming and the service was amazing! They had our table cleaned up by their cleanup crew before I could pay my bill...after the 10 people in my group ahead of me, haha!!
Customer service was the only thing good about this visit. Pasta was bland. Ribs were dry and smothered with sauce. Seafood in pasta dish was rubbery . The free bread was the winner at this dinner
Definitely worth checking out! Great atmosphere, excellent food, but still reasonably priced. Fries were hot and crispy, the fresh bread was amazing with the garlic butter. Service was very good. Will go back again!
Price is affordable. Mushroom Ravioli is very good. They can accommodate large parties and will sing Happy Birthday. You can pre decorate and provide your own cake. Service was quick and friendly.
Reasonably priced menu items. We ordered pasta for about $15 each. Most entrees come with bread, tea/coffee, salad or soup, and ice cream. We had efficient servers and prompt service. Nice location.
This place was great! Unique atmosphere on both the inside and outside of the restaurant. I was visiting Winnipeg for the first time with my partner, and we decided on The Old Spaghetti Factory as our first place to eat because of its location in The Forks area and its reasonable prices for food and drinks. The waitress we had was very friendly and in the greatest mood each time we saw her at our table, and when we had left. She was very helpful in recommending dishes to try as well as suggesting the best brews they offered. My pasta was very tasteful and full of flavor. My partner ordered pasta with shrimp and it was also fantastic! The complimentary bread and butter was also a pleasant treat before your meal arrived. Everything she suggested was delicious! We actually chose to eat outside on the patio, and suddenly a downpour of rain started. Our waitress moved us inside and even offered to replace our food and drinks, we turned down the offer, but were completely satisfied with the service. I recommend you stop in and grab a bit to eat if you have the time and you're in the area.
What a treat! Each of us had not been here in over a decade and for some reason I had been craving the mizithura cheese. A 3 course meal, classic decor and for a reasonable price, we will definitely be back.
Good food, good meal deal, good service. Lunch time deals include the salad/soup, entree & coffee/tea for as low as $12...can't go wrong. At the Forks, so nice sight lines too!
Service
Very nice restaurant Good food, great service, nice decor
We were party of 4 and each of us had cold meals. Our soups came cold our meals came out cold. Dirty water glasses. We had to ask for bread plates, had to ask for cutlery. Very disappointed in a restaurant.
Charlie was so amazing, from him greeting our table to him giving us amazing board game suggestions at the end of our stay. All of us work in the serving industry and we’re blown away by his hospitality. 100% will be back and asking to sit in his section!
The food that I have been served has been mediocre at best. The servers also seem to disappear for a while each time. However, my friends do enjoy it there and the lunch specials are hard to beat for what you get.
We enjoyed this place. It had a nice ambiance, good food, and great service.
Update your website. I went on a too long walk to eat here because it said it was open for dine-in. I thought at least the patio was opened. Restrictions were eased 2 days ago. The food is great, but this sucked.
Dinner
First time here, getting food was abit of a wait but worth it in the end. Delicious for sure ????????
We love Old Spaghetti Factory! Great place for a lovely meal at a decent price. Three of us eat dinner here for 60.00. The best time is to come early about 5p.m. before the dinner rush. Service is always prompt. Try the Chicken Bacon Alfredo Ravioli, so yummy!
Did curbside pickup tonight food was hot and transported great about 15 min. I would highly recommend ordering from here, their online takeout system is really well done. Will definitely be back, hopefully in the restaurant so we can have the ice cream.
Pretty good overall. The service was great actually the best part was quality service. The food was decent but a bit, mass produced? I'm not sure but it was kind of not that amazing. I know other places that have better food. But the price was very good. Quite amazing overall value I would say. Coffee, ice cream, and soup all came with my meal and the price was still at $15. With excellent service. So yeah, great experience.

It's the same cheap pasta sauces from a jar that you get at Superstore on the same dried pasta from the same place. That said, they cook it properly and they have good service. All in all, a good dining experience.
I always enjoy the Old Spaghetti Factory where ever I find them. This restaurant has a great setting in the Forks.
Isn't it sad when a good place, with a dope vibe AND great food has less than average waiters? Yeah, sad. But it's 2018 and we won't let sub par waiters spoil our eating experiences. Also, The grilled chicken is divine, not too dry, spicy enough, perfect!
The service had its ups and downs, I got seated and served with an unlimited amount of bread and was treated nicely. When it came time to order I asked for the new York style steak and fries. When the food came I felt it was the saddest excuse for a steak as it was not cooked to my expectations, the steak came out well done and tasteless. As for dessert I was asking questions about the ice cream and the server just walked away to bring me a vanilla ice cream bowl which I did not ask for. Overall it is a spaghetti factory and not a steak house so in my opinion get spaghetti and stay away from the steaks you'll be disappointed. 1.5/5
Great place! First time eating there and celebrated our anniversary! Food was amazing! Our server Josh was top notch! However, there was an outburst in the restaurant between two tables. The staff and Management handled the situation quickly and professionally! Next time we’re bringing the whole family!!! See you soon!

Great deals for full meals, including beverage, soup or salad, main course, and desert. Price is affordable. Mushroom Ravioli is very good. They can accommodate large parties and will sing Happy Birthday. You can pre decorate and provide your own cake. Service was quick and friendly.
This was my first time dining at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and it was a pleasant experience. We had gone on a Tuesday evening and although the wait time was a little long, the overall experience was amazing. The service was quick, the waiter, Scott; was awesome, the food / drinks were great (I fell in love with their Blue Raspberry Iced Tea! It tastes like candy!), and the price for the meal wasn't too bad either. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, cozy and homey, plus not to mention the decor was pretty cool too. Totally will go there again!
I come here every year for my birthday with my family and it has excellent service , I do wish they took dinner reservations. They have excellent food and the staff are great. It can be a bit loud but the food definitely makes up for it!
The meal was good but the server took a little time to get to us and did not really seem able to keep up with things like drinks. That may have been due to us being a larger party. Still a good place to go.
Meal type
Classic carb-full comfort food at very reasonable prices. I've had amazing service every time I've been here. The location is great and they have an outdoor section (weather permitting). It gets incredibly busy with families at dinner time, but if you go later in the evening it easy to get a table without a reservation.
Very nice restaurant Good food, great service, nice decor

Good food and great service.
Love this place... it's been a tradition in our family for years! ???? Fantastic food and service... from bread to dessert... always!
Service was wonderful, didn't have to wait long at all! This was my first time here and as for food wise I was expecting more of a wow factor. But it was overall good for the price point. Would love to come back again and try something new on the menu :)
With Covid, seating capacity has been cut, but booths and tables can still accommodate 4-6 people in this stained glass with outdoor views location at the Forks. Servers follow guidelines (masks etc) and you can order using QR barcodes. The meals all include sourdough bread, a bowl of salad or soup and vanilla or spumoni ice cream to finish. The chicken parmigiana with spaghetti (or fries) comes with marinara sauce. For a $.55 upcharge you can get the meat sauce. Portions were generous and tasty. The chicken Alfredo ravioli was tasty but portion was a bit small. Our server was attentive and friendly. Worth considering at the Forks, but no free parking.
Well truthfully the food was yummy. But it was extremely busy. My waitress Alexa advised me there the only spaghetti factory restaurant open. So I was like okay so waiting nearly 20 mins was normal? So many excuses for the delay. Not impressed but as the wait was challenging I had a few alchole based drinks to be in a cheery mood...lol Food arrived and it was good.
The service was excellent! Our server was prompt, kind and the visit was pleasant however the food was mediocre. Underseasoned and dry. I was hoping for freshly ground pepper and parmesan however it was pepper and cheese in a shaker
Awesome place to go for a meal! Extremely good value for your money. Included with your meal is bread, soup or salad, your main course, and ice cream for dessert. All the food is really good. The prices are better than almost any other restaurant out there for the quality of food you get. The staff is excellent there. I've always had great service every time I've gone here.
One of the better of the franchise. The lights are good. The furniture, especially the singer sewing machine tables are great. The staff is well trained, polite and amiable. The menu is okay. It’s just that done pastas are better than the others. The former sometimes lack any flavours and feel a bit too canned. I have had bad experiences with these restaurants, but I still go back because other people seem to genuinely like it.
Food is excellent. Endless bread and butter. Friendly service. Downside is that wait times are usually lengthy, especially evenings and weekends.
Had supper here with the family. The service was excellent and most enjoyed their food. One of out party had penne with pesto sauce which was very oily.(not sure what it is from the menu) He did not finish. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The ravioli with mushrooms and bacon, and the manicotti were excellent. Finishing with the spumoni ice cream was a great ending to the meal.
Great setting. The food was good. However, nothing was hot. My food was warm but not hot. I ordered spicy meatball sauce and not once noticed any heat spiciness. The "hot water" for hot tea was just warm. Not even close to hot water.

For how busy it gets, the service is always good. The amount of food you get with your order, the complementary bread and ice cream is well worth the money. Very nice inside too. Overall favorite place to eat in Winnipeg
Awesome restaurant! The atmosphere is exceptional. Love it that your meal comes with bread, ice cream, etc.
Food and atmosphere are good. Their battered appetizers are crunchy and the Pesto Linguine taste amazing.
Good restaurant to sit down and eat for lunch and an easy dinner. Serve is always great. Menu has a wide range of items, cost effective. The complimentary bread is always hot and the garlic butter is awesome. Overall good place to eat.
The food here is amazing! The “It’s all included” gives you so much bang for your buck. I love the look of the place too!
Awesome staff working hard during the C19 lockdown, great food great service awesome views of the Forks Historic Park in the heart of the City of Winnipeg!!!
Food always fresh and delicious! Our server was lovely, helpful and even a little funny. They were happy to care of our larger group, we didn't wait long. Was warm, soft lighting, great window view of the patio and trees.
Excellent dining. The food was great and copious. The service was friendly and expert. The food came out hot and delicious. Parking is not too good here, but you're bound to find someplace in the neighbourhood. The surrounding shops and actives around the site make this a must see.
The food was good, good size portions, quick service, reasonable price, and super friendly staff
The food is good. Not amazing, but definitely good. It's hard to mess up pasta, but also hard to make it fantastic. The interior of the restaurant is really neat!
Booked a space for my birthday and had I had a lifetime experience. Classic lunch time, delicious chowder soup and incredible service. The bread sticks, the meatballs, all so delicious.
We had a celebratory family dinner for our granddaughter's graduation on June 25th. The food was awesome and the service was exemplary, all the while ensuring that COVID 19 protocols were maintained. Thank you Old Spaghetti Factory.
You would expect to pay a lot more then you do for the quality and quantity of the food that you receive. The ambient feel paired with the amazing staff makes it an all-round enjoyable experience. Also the fact that it is located at the forks which is a tourist hotspot in Winnipeg makes it even that much better. Comparable to Olive Garden yet a tad cheaper, yet more enjoyable experience.
I enjoy coming here with my daughter either before or after skating at The Forks. It is very convenient. Prices are reasonable and we both always find something we like. The food has always been good-we always order pasta. Love the bread!!
Great value, fantastic staff and service. Food is always delicious. Love the atmosphere.
Let's start from the end: ice cream: very poor in taste and flavor, very much like the store brand you could get anywhere you go. Food: to my surprise no fish on the menu! The penne chicken was tasty and loved by a few in my party including myself. Salad with blue cheese wasn't outstanding I'm afraid. Bread and butter also not outstanding. Italian bread is supposed to make you ask for more, not this one. My biggest disappointment: the restaurant could advertise/market itself for a place with a good number of historical items and artifacts but no, you don't get any invitation to look at them nor any opportunity offered to enjoy them.
Dinner
This place just holds on to its charm. It's a great place to fill that pasta craving you have. The service is good. The food is good. The prices are fair. It can be a bit of a wait to be seated but it's totally worth it. The bread is always tasty and well worth the wait.
Haven't been in years and really enjoyed our experience. Such a unique atmosphere with incredible stained glass that is worth a trip inside just to see. Food was great too, the classic spaghetti and meatballs was terrific
Great place for Italian food ,super service and courteous staff!
Reserved a special room for my daughter's birthday. Although kinda tight for 10 people. I think it was designed for 6 to 8. It worked however. The kids menu was the right size, our portions were filling and never paid to much. Good vibe all around
Quick service and a great menu for gluten free options. My mum's eyes lit up when she saw that the bread was sourdough and that there was many gluten free pasta dishes! Will definitely come back! Also there is so much included with the meals, soup or salad, coffee or tea, bread and icecream! Alot for your money!
Great pasta! The size of the meal is abundant. I recommend garlic bread cheese, lasagna, spaghetti, and Manicotti. If you like Olive Garden you should try. The Ice cream is also delicious.
Service was slow. She wasn't very friendly. Food was ok. Ice cream was great as always and same with the bread. We were a group of 10 but she didn't check on us offer refills etc.
Dinner
First time back in 10 years ( don't like parking at the forks). Didn't disappoint.

I have been going to the old spaghetti factory with my family and friends since I was a little girl. Every time I've been here I have never had a problem with the food. Servers bring you bread with butter and garlic butter to your table while you wait for your order. My pasta has never come cold. The prices are good for the quality, I especially like the lunch prices. The last few times I have visited the service was really friendly but a little unorganised. Overall, everything was still great.
Never disappointed here- delicious pasta, friendly servers, efficient even when busy and good prices. Love the bread, salad/soup and ice cream with your meal deal. Yummy sangria. Located at the forks- love this place!
Excellent service, atmosphere, and menu selection. Definitely returning! Thank you for the great experience!
Nice ambiance, quite a large restaurant that was busy. A broad pasta menu with good food and service.
We came in without a reservation with a party of 11 people and they worked to get us in quickly. Our server Keith was excellent. He took care of us, especially my son who has celiac disease.
The Old Spaghetti Factory is a cozy place to enjoy good food at reasonable prices, served by pleasant and competent staff. Always a good choice!
My favorite restaurant in town!! Highly recommended, my family and I love the food and the atmosphere .
The waiter spilled a tray of 2 drinks on my wife. So she sat through the whole meal soaked and sticky. They cleaned up half the mess then gave us a stack of napkins to finish wiping the table. After we wiped the table, we left the stack of the napkins on the corner and eventually had to ask the waiter to take them away. Service was terrible. Had to flag the waiter down to get refills on drinks. Some people in the group went the whole meal without having the drink they asked for before food arrived. Food was mediocre. And even after all that they didn’t even comp my wife’s meal.
Always delicious and good prices!
Great atmosphere. The staff was excellent. Food for lunch was a great value. Oh, spumoni, I love you!
Always a delicious place to have a meal, but they need to start looking into replacing some the tables. The table we were seated at was crooked and wobbling. Meals are all inclusive and a great price, I've even noticed they added vegan options for a more inclusive menu. Our cutlery was dirty though, and I saw them setup a table without wiping.... *edit 02/27/2020* Very quickly after placing this review I was invited to contact the manager Rob. After addressing my concerns he has already fixed the table in question and has set a meeting to speak to his bussing staff. That is an example of a great manager. Thank you Rob for rectifying the situation and attending to my concerns quickly. If anyone ever has issues (hopefully not after his meeting) the manager is very responsible and very quick to act. I have increased my review from 3 stars to 4, due to the managers great effort. Thank you again Rob.
Great tasting food, great atmosphere, and great prices.
Great great food...I'm gluten free and I'm impressed with the choices I had on the menu. My husband loved the food as well a non gluten free dinner. We had dinner on 2 occasions while on vacation at 2 different locations. 1 in Canada & 1 in Minnesota. We recommend everyone to enjoy a meal here. These restaurants are in the most amazing old buildings filled with antiques from around the world & unforgettable. 100% satisfied.
A long time classic for a reason in Winnipeg. All inclusive meals are great when you're hungry and there are great pasta options. Portions are generous. Very kid friendly, though the banquettes are rather low even for adults and there are no booster seats.
The service is good most of the time and I love how fresh the bread is and how everything is included in each meal. Buuut... -They’re pasta sucks -They’re dishes are usually dirty with old food stuck on it and the tables have old food stains from not wipping it properly. They need to really address this problem, it’s gross and it’s dirty everytime I go there. -They need to bring back the original club house sandwich, the spicy/crispy club sucks so bad -The chandelier is a possible safety hazard, I seen it was held up with tape and it looked like it could barely hold up. A glass shard will probably fall into someone’s food and hurt them. -service is not consistent, usually the male servers seem to be less attentive and it’s hard to find a server when you need a refill. It would be different if it was extremely busy, but on a quiet monday there should be no excuse.
We came here today on our 2nd wedding anniversary ❤ Charles was our server and he did a fantastic job! Professional, kind & always there to ask if we needed anything. He even put sparklers on our icecream-it was sweet. The food was delicious & came out quick. I have been here before but this was one of my best visits yet. Will be back.
Great experience, no wait, full meal deal for a great price. The Canadian Oilve Garden . "Here , you're family, eh"
This is an awesome place, they have done a great job of dealing with covid and the free bread is just awesome. Definitely would recommend
Kilee, my waitress, was delightful. The food came quickly; it was delicious and ridiculously cheap. The portions are large and everything is included. Even the birds and butterflies on the terrace are friendly; you'd think they're also on the payroll. :)
Ok Bellini's are fabulous. Their social Distancing measures are fabulous. Place is clean and staff are fabulous. Food is always wonderful.
Italian food is tasteless. It truly is well maybe except for pizza. Most of the food consists of pasta in marinara sauce with parmesan and ricotta cheese. Here and there they will add chicken, steak or sausage to give their tasteless dishes more zest. The Old Spaghetti Factory's "It's All Included" is not a spectacular deal. I have to say it is better than what other restaurants might charge you. The Old Spaghetti Factory is by no means cheap. Each entree will cost you $20.00 per person. One suggestion for future diners is to just order an entree. Come alone, that way you will save money . Don't order drinks. Drinks will cost you extra. Then don't forget the taxes PST and GST on everything. If you come in a group, expect to pay $50.00 to $100.00 which makes eating out very expensive, especially tasteless Italian food.
Update your website. I went on a too long walk to eat here because it said it was open for dine-in. I thought at least the patio was opened. Restrictions were eased 2 days ago. The food is great, but this sucked.
Good, cheap food. Quite tasty, I recommend the seafood fettuccine alfredo. As much fresh bread as you want and the drinks are fairly good. The minestrone soup is a tasty classic and the Ice cream is a nice touch to finish the meal
Good food, great prices! Went with a large group, 6 kids and the waitress was very nice and patient with them. Definitely a family friendly restaurant.
Food and atmosphere are good. Their battered appetizers are crunchy and the Pesto Linguine taste amazing.
terrible. served last in the entire restaurant. the food was cold and rubbery. and the waiter was angry and belligerent. we might have been native but we were also a teacher and a nurse. and we noticed the bad service and bad food.
Went for lunch with 9 of my former coworkers. Our server Matthew was wonderful! The food excellent! We didn't wait long to eat. I really am looking forward to going back with my husband.
Although we had well over an hour wait for a table, the food and service was superb!
