We have been traveling for two months eating in restaurants three meals a day and this is the first time we felt that we should leave a negative review. The service was very rushed - can't believe that there was a salad bar with Covid - salad bar was a total mess - looked like a bomb had exploded. We did not intend to eat at the salad bar because of Covid but wanted to look at it - would not have eaten if that was our intention. Both of our meals were not worth eating - did not complain just left most of the meal and went on our way. Total waste of money - will not return.
A very enjoyable meal. Reasonably priced. Great salad bar. Our server, David, was awesome!

The salad bar is with the visit but the soups and entrees looked great as well! A gem tucked into a capitalist nightmare of outlet shopping.

Awesome food. Great atmosphere that allows for kids to be welcomed as well. Menu is pricey, but you get A TON OF FOOD. Salad bar with every meal.

Great food, wide variety and beverage selection including craft beer. What more can I say? The ambiance is wonderful, the people friendly. A good place to visit and eat.
Food was decent. The crab cakes, clam chowder and fries were the best part of the meal. My wife had the lobster roll and wasn't to fresh. I had filet mignon medium which was over cooked and not that flavorful. The mashed potatoes were good and creamy. The only complain I have was the server was not very well mannered and seemed to rush our order but take his time with other tables. Over all it is a nice place to grab lunch.

Airways have great food and considering they are short staffed, shrugging was still great and timely
Service was prompt and friendly, the salad bar is an excellent value, and the lobster roll had a generous portion. Lunch was delicious. They had an impressive selection of seafood and steak options. An excellent stop for a fancier dinner out
Best salad bar around. Service was professional and super friendly. If you are looking for a relaxed upscale restaurant this is worth a visit.

We're not exactly sure what the hype is about. We've tried numerous times dining here and are left underwhelmed each time. The filet mignon was over cooked, dry and lacked flavor. The french onion soup was not half as flavorful as I'm used to; the cheese was the best part. The bubbly shrimp was blah and looked better than it tasted. The salad bar was the best part of our dinner.
$10–20
I thought I was going to have alaskan crab legs however when it was time to order I was to they ran out. That made me want to cry. It was our anniversary dinner and I never get seafood.. So I got a filet and baked potatoe. The potatoe was old and cooked to death and my sauted onions tasted like soy sauce....yuck.???? this place is not worth the money and not a place to go if your looking to have a romantic night with your spouse.
I've never had a bad meal at the Log Jam. I love the Log cabin decor. They can be a little pricey, but not drastically so. Worth the stop.

Delicious food that's really high quality. Really good salad bar too!
Went there for the first time on my birthday. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! We made a reservation as recommended when I called and we were seated right away. We started with wings, bacon wrapped shrimp and stuffed mushrooms. All of our appetizers were amazing. 2 of my kids got burgers and the other had the roast beef sandwich, my wife had the pork with pineapple and macadamia nut salsa and I had the Angus rib eye. My only criticism is the steak could have used a little more seasoning but other than that it was perfect. Definitely get it with the Adirondack Fries with horseradish sauce and I had some blue cheese dressing from my salad I used as well. Oh yeah! Only thing that I was bummed about was the place has a salad bar. You dont find those anymore and I'm a huge fan. It was closed due to covid restrictions. They still serve salad but they have to make it for you. The complimentary dessert made up for it tho lol. The staff was on the ball and the food was great. Next time I'm in the Lake George area I'm stopping in for the prime rib. Thank you for making my birthday amazing. I only wish I could remember the waiters name because he was awesome.

I love the salad bar. You don't serve yourself; your waitperson brings you a Garden or Caesar salad, and you tell them what toppings you want. All five people in our party ordered different types of steaks, and the steaks were cooked perfectly. The reason I am giving three stars is that the service was subpar. Our waitress was very attentive to the party of eight next to us, but our party not so much. A member of our party order came out wrong. The person ordered the sirloin, and a strip steak came out. The waitress asked if she wanted to wait for the correct order, which she did. It took a long time for the correct order; everyone in our party was done eating. When the waitress returned to check on the order, there was no apology; she acknowledged her mistake by asking, " so was it worth the wait."

Excellent restaurant —- lobster roll was delicious! Waiters John and Todd really know how to treat customers as their goal was definitely to make people feel at home. So glad we stopped to eat there recently and will continue to remain loyal customers as we visit Lake George in the future!
i didn't eat here but tried to get in several times during my trip in lake george but just not worth it for how busy they always were.
Excellent service and food. Although they can't have their salad bar they will bring you a sampling and as much as you like. Reuben has large melt in your mouth pieces of corned beef.
Awesome experience at this nice local restaurant. Restaurant is located near the Outlets in the Lake George area. Our server Matt was very informative and attentive. Ordered the bubbly shrimp, log jam prime rib, and Alaskan king crab legs, and grilled garlic bread. The bubbly shrimp was delectable, shrimp in a butter sauce with melted cheese on top, goes very well with the garlic bread. Alaskan King Crab legs were super fresh and sweet and delicious. The prime rib is so juicy and tender the Log Jam portion was 12 oz which is plenty of beef to satisfy any meat eater. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Lake George area.
The food is nice, great staff and great area. I would definitely recommend the shrimp scampi and vanilla cheesecake. Matt and Dana did a great job!

Overall, this was a great dining experience. The food was tasty and prepared as requested. The salad bar, which is a main feature of this restaurant, was a bit messy and unkempt, and is the only reason I am giving four stars instead of five.
This place is always on my go to list whenever I'm visiting Lake George. The service is friendly, the food is delicious... The ambiance... Rustic and cozy. Highly recommend!

Your front end staff could use a lesson in customer service. We felt unwelcome at the get go. It may have been busy but they acted as if they could care less if we dined there or not and were quite rude about it. The salad chef on the other …
Had a very nice time at the Log Jam for an evening dinner out. Besides the food and the ambiance, the thing that impressed up most was how they handled the salad bar in the midst of having to adjust to COVID protocols. We had heard about how great their salad bar was, and prepared ourselves for having to miss out, but they brought us over generous portions of our choice of toppings from the salad bar for us to enjoy. Great idea, and made for a great time!
Always love the salad bar, the food, the atmosphere and the service with an extra smile. Just a fantastic place to eat!

Incredible steaks! This was a very, casual, comfortable setting. It seemed to be very popular with the locals and I discovered why.. the staff was very good and the food even better. I had the rib eye steak while my son had the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. This will be a go-to restaurant during our visits to Lake George.
Best restaurant in the lake George area.....from seafood to steak and the best prime rib in upper NY
Service
Our best experience ever at a local icon deserving of it's reputation! I have been to the Log Jam many times over the years and have rarely been disappointed but this visit was nearly perfect. We were pleasantly surprised that they found a way to keep their famous salad bar involved in their menu. In addition to offering a choice of garden or Caesar salad, they present a menu of available items still on display on their original bar and then your server makes a trip to the salad bar for you. Very clever! They used a two server system which was very fast, friendly and efficient. The second server, who provided most of the service somehow convinced us she was always smiling even while wearing the obligatory mask. The food was just as good as the great service. My wife and I go to the Log Jam when we are in the mood for seafood and my mouth was already watering as we walked by the lobster tank. Starting at only $37 for a 1.5 pounder, that was an easy choice for me and my wife went with the Diver scallops. Both were exquisitely prepared and absolutely delicious! The lobster came with an extra basket with the traditional cracker, which I really didn't use since they expertly pre-cracked the lobster, and a bib and wet naps. I asked for only the tail, claws and knuckles after steaming and that's exactly what I got. Our only criticism at all, was we would have preferred the mash potatoes on the scallops plate to be in a separate dish, the same as my lobster plate. This would have prevented the scallop sauce from running into the mash (see pictures). One of our favorite wines, Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay was very reasonably priced for a restaurant and was the perfect dinner companion creating a great all American meal of warm California sunshine wine and cold water Maine lobster. This experience put the Log Jam back at the top of our list when we have a hankering for great seafood and service. PS, my wife asked me to remind you that their steaks are great too!

I have been going to Log Jam Restaurant since I was in Junior High...I'm in my 50's now, and the food has been consistently amazing. There is no better salad bar in the entire Northeast. I have paid twice as much for the same cut of beef at high end steak house's...Log Jam does it just as well, often better at amazing prices, and I much prefer the service at Log Jam! Disappointing! We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp and scallop dinner both with baked potatoes. Potatoes were barely warm, shrimp & scollops both extremely overcooked and bacon was almost raw. Restaurant was highly recommended by local Motel for its steaks. Would not recommend seafood.
Friendly staff, good prices and alot of food! The decor is wonderful and the were able to house a party of 6.
Love the Log Jam feel! The salad bar is a great plus! Food was delicious and the staff was courteous, can't complain! A very lively place to have some good food with your family!

2/1920: Just ate lunch, and everything from my original review 2 years ago is still spot on. Food and service great. They even have gluten free rolls now! Prices are decent too. Great place. 5/2018 We were seated quickly even though it very busy. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The salad bar had lots to choose from, all good. Our food was very good. Bacon wrapped shrimp, should have just got 2 orders! My duck was delicious though, as was wife's steak with mushroom gravy. Could do with out the kids running around, but that's on jerky parents that can't keep them in there seats, or teach them manners. Maybe, a few less plants on the patio. It looked and felt like a humid jungle. Now I have to get a snack because I'm drooling!
Place was really expensive. We're on vacation and wanted to try a restaurant just to get something quick to eat. Took 1 look at the menu and we just got up and left
Great food and service! Salad bar was a great addition to our meal! Lots of options for both adults and children.
The Log Jam is a unique combo of local flair and kitchy Lake George tourism. It's a difficult combination to achieve, but the Log Jam has been doing it fairly consistently for years...and now through COVID-19, too. The food is average, but depends highly on what and when you order, which is always a little disappointing and the one thing Log Jam lacks in terms of high quality dining. The highlight of a visit used to be the salad bars (aside from the HORRIBLE pewter-like dishes that are truly cringeworthy). Luckily, salads are still an optional side with a nice caveat: the server takes a list and builds a custom salad. Albeit, it's not choosing your own, though at my last visit on 3/7, staff built a salad that made my jaw drop. The sirloin burgers are always dry and a little tasteless...the recipe and presentation could use refreshing. Daily fish specials are usually a good choice. Steaks typically done nicely, trimmed, cooked correctly. Staff is always friendly, though harried. Prices are decent for the touristy region.

Nice salad bar and good selection of gluten food on the menu. Prices were a bit steep but everything was good quality and flavorful. Service was very good with waitress and helper staying on top of the needs of our table of 13.
Ive been to this restaurant a few times now today the most recent. Our waiter Matt was amazing. We had such a wonderful experience. It was a bit busy but the food is so good and the staff are wonderful. My husband and I were celebrating 2 years of being together tonight and it was a last minute decision to go to log jam and I am so glad we went! The salad bar is awesome! Also the cinnamon rasin bread is the best ever!
Friends from Glens Falls recommended LogJam. We couldn’t get a reservation so we did takeout. It was totally fantastic. We had steak au poivre and prime rib. Both were ready exactly on time and cooked as requested, medium rare and medium respectively. The restaurant was very busy yet they delivered on our take our order perfectly. We would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

An outstanding experience. We went for lunch with 5 kids aged 4 months to 12 years. Or waitress (Jessica) was attentive, speedy and so considerate! The food was great and always has been at The Log Jam. Highly recommend!

Best maple salmon in upstate NY! I also love their salad bar.
A good place for rustic food. Bar and seating availability. Fireplaces in the winter. Friendly and fairly quick service. Never had a bad meal there.
Lunch
My moms alcoholic drink was water down. I ordered a burger medium and when I got it it was cold rare. Not warm at all like I heated it up in the microwave and just put it on my plate. People were very loud in the restaurant and we’re not mindful of other people eating. When I asked them to re-cook my burger because it was very cold they brought back the same burger, not a fresh one with ketchup inside of the burger and no new cheese. Do not recommend only good thing there is the fries.
Food was fresh and extremely good. The portions were a good size and prices were reasonable. The place has a very rustic feel and nicely decorated.

I don't usually review someplace until I've eaten there 10 times. I will make an exception for the Log Jam though. We had a party of 4 and we were on vacation. Cozy, friendly, and chill! NY Sirloin very enjoyable, Pork Medallions amazing, Lobster Roll fine and dandy.
Best Prime Rib I have ever had!! Great salad bar!! Great staff!!
I give the Log Jam 4.5 stars because overall food was great. Two small issues were my friends steak was literally burnt to a crisp on one side. The other issue was the second waitress who brought our food out was like oh yeah it's fine that's how they do it. My friend was actually gonna go along with that and started to cut the burnt bottom of the steak off. I unfortunately wasn't about to let it fly. So the first waitress who took our order and was so nice. I was like excuse me is this how you guys cook your steaks and showed her. She was like absolutely not let me get you a new one and sincerely apologized. They made a new one and cooked perfectly like the rest of ours. The salad bar was excellent overall I give it a 4.5 because all in all the experience was great.
Dinner
With a Thursday reservation no problem getting a quick seat and with service from Sandy. Prime rib was cooked right but not very hot when it arrived. Baked potato leaved a lot to be desired. It could have used a harder outer skin and some type of taste attracting garnishes or something. Clam chowder soup was dry and pasty with a bland taste where as the Lobster Pot had absolutely fantastic taste of same soup. All and all it was a good meal but just a little disappointing. I'd still go back.

Pricey but comfortable and kind environment.. its unfortunately the only restaurant open that serves both food and alcohol drinks near the travel log. So we don't have choices .
Great restaurant! Friendly staff and fabulous food. Several fireplaces with a homey atmosphere. I highly recommend!
They did s great job on my bestfriends husband's birthday party. They were tentive to all our needs .
Very good but you'll pay for the quality. Bountiful salad bar is included with most meals. We attempted to go here last year but the was over an hour wait. This year we went for lunch and there wasn't a wait though it was beginning to fill by the time we left. I had the Adirondack French Dip, it was everything you'd expect.. Fresh roast beef and a nice salty au jus for dipping. My wife had the lobster roll, large chunks of lobster in an over stuffed roll.
One of Lake George's hidden jems! Ended up at the Log Jam kind of on a whim. Read some good reviews, so we thought we would give it a try, and very happy we did! My wife got the lobster roll...it was large, and overflowing with lobster. The waiter joked that the chef was putting so much lobster in the sandwiches that they would be out of business soon! I had the Virginia ham and chicken (basically chicken cordeon bleu), and the home made mashed potatoes. The way it was plated, one would have thought they were at a 5 star restaurant! Both meals were excellent, and around $20 each (July 2021). To top it off, all the meals come with the salad bar, which was top notch as well. Service was great too. Well worth stopping if you are in the area!

We went in for lunch. Salad bar comes with any sandwiches. Philly sandwich was super tender and Ruben was delicious also. So much food we brought half back with us and had it for dinner. Clean, friendly and close to outlet mall.
It was my first time eating here. It was recommended to us by one of the hotel staff. I could imagine in the fall this place would be nice and cozy with its decor. We ate in the greenhouse. Which literally has plants all over. It was nice & clean. The Staff were friendly. My husband & I ordered burgers which hit the spot! The salad bar had a great selection. I would eat here again.
Very good Adirondack style restaurant, a bit pricey but was worthwhile, the service was very good and the food was fresh. The crusted sea bass was excellent and the salad bar is a must. Get there before 6pm, place fills up very fast.

A little over priced, but that was expected, salad bar in my opinion wasn't fresh, but the pasta was muy bueno. I wasn't sure if I should've told them the size of my order: "maple salmon, but no maple just the salmon and whatever mustard thing on the side" of the maple salmon or I'd they would ask what size, because it was supposed to be about $24 from the menu we got, but I'm not sure. If there was a misunderstanding, maybe the restaurant would let me know online, the rest of the food was good though.

The Bubbly Shrimp appetizer was good, garlicky and cheesy, but the Steak Au Poivre was over cooked, actually out of 4 red meats (3 steaks and 1 lamb) ordered at the table, only one person got their steak the way they ordered it. But the fries were good.

Not a good restaurant to try on Friday dinner.. big hall and small kitchen.. waitress seems to be rushing between guests to keep up the order.. Be sure to make reservations for this place!!! The ambience, food and service are outstanding. The salad bar is included with all meals and they have a nice selection of items and everything is fresh. Although our server noted all of his tables sat down at once, I would haven't have known as he was super duper communicative and attentive. My friend has lamb chops which came with a side and mint jello ( so good with the lsmb chops). I had chicken with Pistachios and cranberries sauce and I had it with rice.
I don't give a 5 stars unless it's wow, but this place was the best on lake george I ate so far. Salad bar was clean and full of goodies, the Ruben sandwich was awsome, service was good, burgers were good also.

Fast, friendly service. Great food. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp. My parents ate there, as I found out while there...
Rustic with a casual, relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent, the wait staff attentive and pleasant. I ordered the Roasted Long Island Duck with rice. I had the lite portion. Thank goodness we made reservations! This place is absolutely hopping on a holiday like Valentine's Day. As a local, I've grown up alongside the Log Jam Restaurant and have had the pleasure of enjoying this lovely establishment for decades. Rest assured, I'm still thrilled every time I go up to the salad bar and discover the homemade breads and butter. Then as I pass the salads, my eyes long for that one special flavor that I cannot resist... cottage cheese. Yes, they have it, and I love it. Thanks Log Jam! By the way, the roasted duck was perfect. See you again soon.

We've been to Barbados 3 times and DC told us he's from there. Made for a nice conversation and he is a fantastic waiter. Sandy very pleasant and attentive. Josh is a "Number 1" bartender; informative and quick behind the bar. Food was excellent!! Will be back soon...
Food was gd and waitress was very enjoy able made it easy to sit and enjoy it was first time there I would love to try the ribeye next
Google reviews are not always reliable. I realize it could be based on mood, how tired you are, the food you order and just plainly the cost factor. This definitely is not a fine dining establishment. There was a free salad Buffett included for anyone that orders a sandwich or entree. A salad bar during Covid?! I guess people love free food. I ordered the lamb chops - they were more like chunks of lamb, hard as a rock and only fit for someone who is willing to battle their food. I needed a knife, a fork and help from my fellow diner to hold the lamb cube so it does not fly off my plate!! Food was mediocre - the best part of the dinner was the French fries and bread pudding!
Best salad bar on Earth. Came up here to go shopping with my family again today. We always go to this restaurant but I figured I would write a review now. Like I said before, the salad bar at The Log Jam is the best one i’ve ever had. There isn’t an overwhelming variety, it is just right. Everything about the salad bar is perfect. On top of that, the main food was great as well. I had a Reuben, and it was the perfect size to take home half for lunch tomorrow. We have never had any bad food here. The wait staff was kind and efficient. Overall we had a great time shopping, and our experience at The Log Jam was the cherry on top.

Beautiful decor. Warm and comfortable. Dinners were excellent and reasonably priced for a tourist area. Gave it 4 stars because the salad bar area was not very Covid compliant. Although there were signs requesting 6ft separation it was impossible to do so due to the tight setup. Also, the serving spoons and such are touched by each person in the line, so if you are covid sensitive, avoid the salad bar. When I was in Mexico they had servers give you what you wanted, so only one person was handling the serverware. Smart.

Lots of ambience here. We stopped in for lunch. Appetizer Bubbly Shrimp is a winner, with an A. Onion rings got a B from me. The sirloin burger was dry and crumbly. We would stop there again for the shrimp.
Absolutely one if the best dining restaurant in the area. The prime rib was the best eve. The fish our son had was amazing. The staff made us fell welcomed from the moment we walked in the door and until we departed. Highly recommend. Everything from the salad to dessert (apple crisp) was over the top.Thank you all for the excellent dining experience.

I have never been to a worse restaurant. No one came to serve us for the longest time after we got seated. We ordered little neck clams and instead they served us cherrystone clams. The dish was not served with extra bowl for us to put the shells. The entire prime rib is expired I could smell the sourness coming out from the dish across the table. Even the soda tasted funky. Should have seen the health score is 19 out of 100 before We walked in!

Always a great meal! They have amazing soups, an awesome salad bar, delicious sandwiches. Their dinners are wonderful!! Their staff are always great!! They had a delicious bacon and cheddar soup, it was amazing!!
My wife and I both ordered the prime rib. Steaks came out cold. We told the waitress and she brought them back to the kitchen. Short time later she brought back our steaks and this time they were barely warm. We wound up boxing them up and bringing them home to reheat them ourselves. Expensive meal to heat up at home. We won't be going back.
I was very disappointed. I ordered the French Onion Soup, Seasame Halibut, and a lemonade. The lemonade had no flavor and tasted like water. I asked the server if it was water or lemonade and he didn't even know. The halibut itself was fresh and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the sesame covers the ENTIRE fish from bottom to top. It was very hard, tasteless, and masked the flavor of the delicious fish. The French onion soup was the best I've had in the Lake George area though and the service was good. Overall I would NOT make a special trip just to come here. There are better and cheaper options in Queensbury.

Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere and beautiful Christmas decorations up now.
This by far the best restaurant in the Lake George Area. We had John as a server . He was exceptional ! He provided outstanding service. Very attentive and accommodating , great personality! We went for Father’s Day and made it very special. Food was excellent. My wife and I had the steak apoive. Sauce was homemade and amazing ! We also had the salad with everything on it. John was so nice that he talked to us for a while. We were one of the last in there because we were having such a wonderful time. This has been hands down one of the best experiences of Lake George. The atmosphere tops it off also ! Beautiful log cabin decor , clean and fantastic all around ! Please give it a try and ask for John ! You won’t regret it !!!

My family and I were getting hungry while traveling through the Lake George area returning from a few days in Vermont. We stopped at an outlet mall and noticed the Log Jam restaurant near the mall. We thought we would give the place a try. It was mud afternoon, a bit too early for the dinner menu but Log Jam has a wonderful salad bar available and and great lunch menu. Our group placed our orders, two of us getting salad-bar orders and the others ordering from the grill. The service was great and so was the food. The restaurant is clean and has a great log cabin atmosphere that I found appealing. It made me think of being in camp. Log Jam is on the short list of places that I would make an effort to return to again if ever in the area.
Delicious food!Salad bar, comes with meals. We did find out dinner menu starts 430 as we arrived at 4pm.We ended up staying, since still good food selection and salad bar.
The salad dressings are pretty bland, the soup was delicious and the main course was good. When we went in they weren't busy but got very busy very fast. Half the food was undercooked the other half over cooked. They remade the food and it was very good the second time around. Overall very nice atmosphere and good food.

Our family went out for lunch at the Log Jam and was greeted with this beautiful, cozy, rustic atmosphere. Our server was Lori, who was PERFECT. We loved eating there and the food was really amazing! Their lobster rolls were delicious and well-seasoned and light. Their french dip was so flavorful and hearty. The salad bar is packed with all kinds of ingredients and toppings, and could easily fill you up if you let it. Overall, amazing experience for a family lunch/dinner, and we will definitely visit again!

The location is very convenient... Right next to the outlets :) Ample parking and very nice indoor decor. There are two sections inside, one dining area is small and cozy with a bar and a wood burning fireplace and the other is much open space with an array of greenery..I loved it so much (I'm a plant lady!). There were plants everywhere! It was like a large greenhouse. This room is where the salad bar lives. The service was good but not so much the food. We only had appetizers: crab cakes, french onion soup, buttered noodles and ne clam chowder. My cakes were burnt and salty and the chowder was bland. Overall it was a nice experience.

Have visited the Log Jam many times-It's my go to restaurant. The salad bar is the best in the area!!! Great selections of fish, chicken, steak! For the quality of food served, the prices are very reasonable!
Friendly service, excellent food & salad bar. You can get a good steak & lobster here. The smashed potatoes with vegetable cream cheese is the bomb! Popular spot, so you may want to reserve. My one comment is that medium rare is not medium. ????

The atmosphere was good and the waiter was super nice. Having said that the food quality was very low. Ordered steaks and it seemed like I got super cheap choice steak (something you would expect at a cheap diner). Low quality cheap and disgusting food. Reminds me of nasty cheap diner food at a high price.

Fantastic atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. The menu items are traditional yet unique; I had the Cajun Chicken dish, which was plated in a very unique and memorable manner - atop a bagel with guacamole, and topped with black bean and corn salsa - and tasted great! The food was very good. But our server was a delight. I wish I had caught her name. She had a German or Scandanavian dialect. She was perfectly friendly, not over bearing and very kind. Thank you. Went to the Log Jam after reading it was a MUST!! Arrived twenty minutes early for our reservation we were greeted by a friendly young lady and seated. The waitress was in such a RUSH!! We ordered what we wanted to drink. When I asked for lemon (again) for my ice water I was given a sliver! We went and got our salad which was very good. She came back we decided to get a clam chowder each which again she as walking away from the table while we were still trying to speak!! Brought soup out right away which then sat in the table and got cold because we had just started our salads! Chowder was average! Lots of potatoes a clam here and there. Only had a bite or two. I ordered steak and baked potato my husband ordered scallops!! Again RUSHED and pretty much spoke to her back as she rushed away. Steak was an average piece of meat you would get from any chain restaurant. It had no flavor, didn’t have that steak smell I expected from a place advertising best steaks!!! The scallops were good. Do not rush here you can get the same meal at a Texas Roadhouse or a sizzler…

Quaint eatery near Lake George. Substantial salad bar and menu. Fireplaces added to the cozy feel. Natalie our server was outstanding.
We always make it a point to stop here on our way home. It's a great place to take a break from driving and have a nice lunch or dinner. The sandwiches and burgers are great. Just about everything is made in house and the food is really fresh and delicious. They also have a large salad bar with lots of options. Also this place is huge, I have been here several times and never had to wait for a table.

Mom and I have never eaten here before until last night. Before we got our entrées, we went to their salad bar. After eating my salad, we got our food. I ordered the Stuffed Haddock with crab meat and broccoli - which was delicious. My Mom ordered the swordfish with potatoes. She gave me a little bit, and it was really good. We both had lemonade which was pretty good. Overall, there was great atmosphere, great staff and cool decor. Will definitely come back soon.

Excellent. Will definitely be a regular stop when we are heading in or out of the Adirondacks from now on. Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food. What more do you want? All the entries include their very good salad bar (sounds boring but it was great) which also has a bunch of fresh loaves of bread to carve into. It was a perfect lunch at the right price, and leftovers to enjoy tomorrow at the office and remind me I'd rather be back at the lake.
We had a large party and had to change the time of our reservation, everyone was so accommodating and the waitresses were so nice. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive, we will definitely be going back!

The only ingredients I tasted in the Bloody Mary were the horseradish and the Worcester sauce. The overcooked, almost burnt stuffed mushrooms were swimming in way too much butter and had no flavor. However, the salad bar was very good and my sister liked her lobster roll!
Super tasty food and salad bar. We sat right next to the fireplace which was sooo nice after the ice castles. Highly recommend the seafood trio!
We stopped at the Log Jam restaurant on a road trip, not expecting more than just basic food on the way from point A to point B. We were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food, expansive salad bar and welcoming ambiance. What made our visit special, though, was our waitress, Shannon. She was informative and helpful throughout the meal and, when I forgot my credit card at the end, Shannon went above and beyond to run out into the parking lot to return it to me.

Great food and outstanding customer service. I love the rustic ambience of this place. The prices are very reasonable and the salad bar is always so fresh. The Log Jam Restaurant takes pride both in the beauty of the Adirondacks and in providing you with superb food and accommodating hospitality in an authentic log cabin. If it weren’t for the aromas of sizzling steaks, you just might think you walked into an Adirondack logging camp of 100 years ago. A pot-belly stove warmly greets you at the front door, wood plank floors stretch beneath your feet, pine logs cut from the mountains above Lake George surround you, and three massive stone fireplaces provide the perfect romantic setting.

Not worth the price we paid and we had to keep asking for our server. I ordered the broiled Halibut that had NO flavor. I had to drown it in lemon and salt to even taste anything. The mashed potatoes were good, but got a baby sized serving. My husband's stake was overcooked and the thinnest ribeye we've ever seen. So not worth 100$.
Place was packed, but we found seating immediately in the lounge. The complimentary cheese and crackers were a nice touch, and the chili simmering by the fire brought the ambiance together. Salad bar had plenty of options and the main entrees were delicious. Would definitely go back but may have to call ahead to get a table.

Service started out well with salad bar ( kind of outdated) and appetizers, which were delicious. It turned when the medium rare sirloin I ordered came almost raw, I asked to have it cooked longer, and I came back in the same state I received it but more charred, the waitress said she'd have them put it back on. It came back a black charred mess that I couldn't even eat until I trimmed all the black burnt "rind" off. Not what I expect when paying 60 bucksfor a steak. The lobster tail was also way over cooked and rubbery as hell. For the price this place is not worth it.
This is our go-to place whenever we are in the area. The food was great. Service, fabulous. Large gatherings with loud, uncontrolled children tend to be a distraction. Will we go back? Yes, definitely.

Atmosphere was great, staff was super friendly. Salad was very good. My old fashioned was probably the top 3 worst old fashioned’ I ever had. Maybe wrong place to order that drink, my fault. It had sugar in it too. Weird. My steak was basically served right from the butcher shop. I asked for medium and I got what seemed to be medium rare or rare. Ate it with the lobster. The chocolate moose was great. Came home and have been in the bathroom 3x within an hour. Must be food poisoning. I’m struggling to give this place 3 stars because of my experience but maybe one day I’ll come back and try something else and maybe have a different experience.

The service was terrific! The salad bar is open and it had a great selection of toppings for your salad as well as pasta and veggie salads. Both our meals were perfectly prepared. Great night out!
Pretty good food, but entrees are pricy. . Duck was excellent, thin fries are better than thick fries (dry). Shrimp scampi was good but the porterhouse was just ok.
Food and drinks are made to perfection. Service was excellent! If you plan on eating dinner here come hungry!!
The sandwich I ordered was grilled which I didn't expect as it didn't specify on the menu. It was very greasy. The potato chips were inedible. The salad was ok but the beets that were brought with it were nasty. All in all a bad experience. The last time we were there it was a much better meal.

Came in half an hour before they closed and was greeted very well and seated. We were never rushed or felt hurried. We came during restaurant week and found the options to be very good. For about $20, we got access to the amazing salad bar (you can pretty much a meal in itself there!), a side soup (I got clam chowder which was pretty good!), an entree (I got maple Dijon salmon with mashed potatoes; see picture), and desert (ice cream). It was a surprisingly good amount of awesome food, for such a great price! Very satisfied!

The family and I decided to go to the Log Jam for a special occasion, has been a while since we’ve last came an we LOVED the place a few years back. Had a very disappointing experience today, which will result in us never going 45 minutes out of our way for mediocre food an undesirable service. I’ve never been somewhere where our drinks, apps an food were requested at the same time. We felt as if we were being rushed right off the bat. I paid 50$ for a leather steak an 4 shrimp. I’ve had better from chain restaurants and that was very disappointing. Also, I’ve never been somewhere that doesn’t request a temp when ordering duck. We ordered two appetizers of little neck clams, one order came out an after 10 mins we finally asked about the second order, was told the cooks must not have seen it, but they didn’t forget to keep it on my bill. Also, the clam chowder was like a gravy paste of some sort. Two bowls, plus mine, were left half eaten. In the past we were okay with the prices due to the excellent service, delicious meals, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, all of that was lacking this time around. When making our reservation, we requested TWO sundaes for our birthday guests as a surprise an once again only received ONE. Its sad to see the Jam turn into another mediocre spot.

Friends took me there for my birthday . It was delightful ! Heidi was our waitress and what a kind person she is ! She is a great asset to your restaurant . The salad bar is the best , as our orders were perfect and delicious ! Will plan to dine at the Log Jam Restaurant again soon !
Honestly giving 2 stars is being nice and it’s only because of the service my fiancé got the steak and I think Olive Garden has better steak it was dry and I had the chef special seafood platter and it was over cooked and covered in cause but it was also very dry and rubbery. Plus I found a very dead lobster in the water and it was dead for a long time it was gray and growing a fungus If you want good food just drive the village and get 10 McGillis you’ll spend less and you’ll have much better food. Normally I give places another shot but the log jam would not get a second shot. And for barely eating the food you would think even a little discount would have been given but nope 130 bucks for food that was equal vale to McDonald’s
Amazing food and service. My Rubin was amazing and perfectly made, chips were crisp, and beer battered onions ring were perfect and not overly oily. The French Onion Soup is a must order item.

Recommended to come here for their steaks, I wasn’t impressed to say the least. Read some reviews beforehand but wanted to experience it for myself. Came on a Friday without a reservation which was a mistake, so I had to book a table for the next night. Staff was quick and nice. It’s very dark, I saw a different group of women using their phone lights to look at the menu. Ordered their Black Angus steak and was disappointed. No seasoning of any kind used so it felt wrong jus eating plain meat. Salad bar is available which wasn’t too bad, depending if you feel comfortable with that type of stuff during these times. I wouldn’t come here again.
This place came highly recommended as this was our first time up at Lake George. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices and portions were more than fair. Almost every meal comes with a cold salad bar and fresh baked bread. This place seems to be a favorite to many up in the area, so you may have to wait, but it’s worth the wait. I got the pistachio chicken with the the Adirondack fries (big potato wedges).

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm up in the Lake George area. Their food is always amazing. I got shrimp cocktail and there were 4 shrimp and they were very large and fresh. The salad bar is very good, the bread is fresh and the salad bar ingredients are all fresh and replenished regularly. The steak was cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly and always helpful with menu items and if you have questions
Definitely would not recommend this place. Service was ok. Salad bar was disgusting. Food all over it and on floor for people to slip on. Kids picking stuff out with their hands. People taking spoons or tongs out of one container to use in another. Our main sides were not the greatest for the price. I ordered a fish special with a cream dill sauce. Fish was dry couldn't taste any dill waiter never gave either of us a choice of potato just brought baked and one of the side specials was creamy garlic, bacon and cheese mashed potato. Husband ordered steak. It said choice of sides. Just brought baked potato and mixed veggies.
Food was delicious. Menu online was different than menu at restaurant. Place was busy for a Wednesday evening. Easily 75% of tables full. Staff well masked. Salad bar is open, but for the price, could have more. I paid $31 for a mixed seafood and pasta dish.

A really interesting and delicious take on steak with the Sirloin Bolognese! Salad bar was fresh and had a good assortment!

The lobster roll was huge - it was actually a lobster and shrimp roll - but it wasn’t the star of the show. The prime rib ???? so good!! Would go back just for that and I’m not even usually a red meat kinda gal. Service was fantastic and the space was huge. I was a little hesitant since the restaurant was very busy when we went (Fri at 7:30pm), but the tables were fairly distanced and they didn’t allow people to go to the salad bar on their own.
Fast service. Sat us down right away. Food was very good. Would definitely recommend.
Every time we visit Lake George, we eat lunch at the Log Jam. $8 gets you the salad and soup combo..... The salad bar isn't very big, but everything on it is fresh and delicious.
