Love the place, but you need to understand what it is. Place is somewhat upscale. No hats or ripped clothing, but I have seen people seated with jeans or shorts in the summer. Menu is small but diverse. Lunch menu has salads, pizzas, pasta, and sandwiches. Many meals near $10 for lunch. Dinner menu didn't have sandwiches, and prices ranged from just below $10 per meal up to over $40 (steaks and seafood). Decor is nice, employees (and students working there) are very courteous. Worth checking out. Food was very good.

This is a wonderful dining experience five star food at three star prices within the Culinary Institute of Niagara County Community College everything is delicious they have a great assortment of beers and wines all local they also have wonderful food and desserts to die for there's also a deli and a confectionery shop right there if you come to Niagara Falls don't miss this restaurant

Always had nice meals here. This is a great restaurant, used for culinary students at the school here. The menu rotates slightly per quarter, but some things are always there (pizza, burgers). The time they had roasted beef bone marrow bones was awesome. Interestingly, as everyone is a student here, they aren't allowed to accept tips. Every time i'm in the area, I'm thinking about stopping here

So our waiter was Jared? Or Gerald? AMAZING! I would have him serve in one of my restaurants! However my friend and I dined in, the drinks were drenched with alcohol, Possibly the worst drinks I have ever tasted. I even ordered a fuzzy navel in hopes to still be able to enjoy the drink, even that was 9/10 straight alcohol. I work in a bar/restaurant so I’m aware of how drinks should be made and how they should taste. The chicken wasn’t bad, just bland. Steak, straight black, red center. Not medium well at all.

Let's discuss the 5 star ratings system. I believe that in current society rating something is done in two ways five stars meaning everything was to your satisfaction or one star meaning everything else. These are my thoughts... Five stars. Everything is excellent. Very clean. Superior service and attention to detail. Top quality food perfectly cooked and plated. Staff does what it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied Five stars is something special. Four stars. A clean establishment. Great food with good service. Four stars should be what most restaurants aim for. Three stars. The food is acceptable but nothing to write home about. The bathrooms might not be clean and the tables might be sticky. But should still be clean overall. Service might be slow and unpredictable Two stars. Dirty. Dishes and utensils that are not clean. Poor quality food with a bad presentation. Very poor service. One star. Disgusting. Inedible food. Rude and/ or non-existent service.

I was married in Niagara falls in July 21st ,2016. My wedding party attended Savor after my ceremony. It was wonderful. The food is great as well as the atmosphere. Also, my waiter Jared was outstanding. His service and personality were one in a million. It was a pleasure to meet him. It felt as though he was a friend. Jared was awesome. He adds value to a restaurant that is already 5 star!!

I have been to a lot of restaurants in my day, but I have to say that overall Savor is the best I have ever been to. From the atmosphere to the food itself, everything was decadent. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the student staff and waiters. The lavender-infused butter and homemade bread were incredible. I got the house burger with truffle fries - the burger was cooked perfectly to my liking. I also got a local chocolate cherry flavored beer, which was one of the best I have ever had. My girlfriend got the gnocchi, which I tried and it was delicious - the red sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and sharp. Overall, I highly recommend Savor to anybody. The prices are very fair given the sophisticated atmosphere and the exquisite food. As an almost diamond in the rough of a less-than-impressive area of the city, Savor stands above the rest.

We ordered chef salads and they were horrible, they had no cheese or meats of any kind. The beet salad was overdressed and the beets were all root, unedible. The manager was rude and insensitive when we expressed our complaints. And the waitesses openly said they couldn't answer our questions, "they just worked there"

We had our reception in the separate room and it was amazing! Dana, the manager, was very easy to work with and they had several options on how to handle the crowd of 20 guests. All of the food was great and everything went perfectly. We came from VA so we only emailed back and forth a few times, but they did a great job of making sure to respond and handle everything professionally. They also put us in touch with the pastry chef that made our cake and it was beautiful and very inexpensive.

Had my wedding rehearsal here last weekend. Was so incredibly happy with the service. We had 18 guests. They were on point, amazing at what they do and served the best drinks. Fireworks were fired at 10 pm so they opened the double doors so guests could stand outside and watch-really made the night special. It was so beautifully set up and the food was beyond. I am so happy we chose to have our dinner here. Everyone was impressed. Bars are right next door for guests who are staying at the beautiful Red Coach Inn, so guests were able to be stress free enjoying the night without worrying about a DD. Everything is easily accessible. I would not think twice about hosting a dinner here. I had such an amazing experience and stressed about nothing in their hands. Thank you Savor for being so amazing!

What a disaster!!! To start with there's absolutely no elegance in this place. Staff is acceptable, there kitchen is one of the biggest nightmares I've ever experienced!!! We took as a starter 3 dishes, Ceasar salad, mussels, BBQ wings.. The salad was like just dressing and cheese, way to much of it on the salad, the mussels came in a weird sauce and blue Buffalo cheese on top of it, just ???? disgusting ????, mussels had been frozen before and where just like a piece of rubber to chew on. The BBQ wings where acceptable, but wouldn't call it a hit. Our main course ..... NY ???? so called strip house steak with pepper sauce and finger potatoes, the steak ???? was just fat and muscle to shew on, not fresh at all, I had 1 bite and gave it back. There was no pepper sauce, the finger potatoes where over cooked and greasy. If could give this place 0 stars I would !!!! !!!!! We decided to go back to our hotel and ordered Hawaii pizza, Ceasar salad, chicken pasta in vodka sauce from Broadway pizza place, everything came hot yummy we enjoyed in the comfort of our luxury room on the 14 the floor looking out to niagara falls, 100 ???? times better than the over rated restaurant Savor

Disappointed as I came to celebrate my birthday today. Our waiter was great but my food had hair rung around it. I was given another within 5 minutes but noticed it was raw ( my first salmon was not) and stated that's how it came. Needless to say I just sat at the dinner table as my other guest ate. I was surprised that the manager did not care to come over to our table. Not the birthday dinner I was expecting.

I like the idea of students learning and cooking for customers. Had meals outside that included salad cookie and drink. I had lamb Kafka and the lamb was flavorful, great sauce at the bottom. The pita, however was not warmed up at all. Just a cold piece of bread stuffed with deliciousness. That cold piece of bread ruined it. Also, the salad is a macaroni salad. Husband had the street burger, rated it 5/10. Meet and patty were good. It was just a regular burger, nothing special. Cookie is also not that great.

On our visit, Savor was featuring a compressed melon and feta salad that looked almost like sushi (little spheres of white and balsamic vinegar instead of caviar, for instance). It tasted as good as it looked. This was the most impressive presentation, but entrees were well prepared and offered balanced and lively flavors. Savor was a bit hard to find from outside -- there's no obvious sign, you have to walk into what looks like a (culinary) school. The service was perhaps a tiny bit too attentive, but I much prefer that to the opposite.

I’m giving a 1 star review because the service was terrible and I’m not sure if Dana is the manager but she acts like one and was very rude to both me and my mother. We ordered a small, thin crust pizza (which costs $13 btw) and it was noticeably smaller than usual (my mother frequents the restaurant, so she was able to notice) so she asked for it to be remade. The waiter said that he’d speak to a manager and see what he could do, then said it was being remade. Almost 25 minutes later, Dana said it wasn’t being remade when my mother walked up to get an update and was very rude about the situation. She didn’t even tell us, and we were sitting there waiting for nothing. Customer service was terrible, even the waiter/host didn’t care what we ordered or couldn’t recommend anything because he was just there for a job and his major was liberal arts so he was just biding his time (he mentioned this because the restaurant is located in a building with the NFCI culinary arts students and I asked if he enjoyed working there). So, apparently even their staff doesn’t want to be there. Dana’s attitude doesn’t need to be there, either.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, the person who seated us was very polite. Our waiter Jon came and asked what drinks we wanted. We said we didnt want any alcohol and he acted shocked and kept asking if we were sure. We then ordered a pizza and two steaks. We waited 20+ minutes and the man who seated us came to apologize that our pizza wasnt out yet and said it would be on the house. We get our pizza and eat a few pieces, expecting our main courses to be out soon... 20+ minutes later our waiter came back and asked if we were ready for our main course. We said yes, waited another 30+ minutes and our steaks finally came. My girlfriends steak was cold and of very poor quality, certainly not worth the 32 dollars they charge for it. The whole time, Jon the waiter never gave us drink refills, the man that seated us did. We felt very discriminated against and they ended up giving us a free meal. We were in this restaurant for almost 3 hours just waiting to eat. Our waiter was constantly tending to his other tables but never to us. There was a table of 5 and a table of 6 who each came in well after us and recieved their meals way before we did. I'm a food service employee and I understand things happen but there was no excuse for the treatment and service we recieved here besides being discriminated against. We felt as though we were ignored and this restaurant didnt want to serve us. I will NEVER recommend this place to anybody. If you want an awesome meal and friendly service, go to the red coach inn, they have DELICIOUS food and desserts there.

We were running on a rather tight schedule. It took us 12 minutes to get seated. Another 5 minutes till our server first came to our table. We were already expecting it, but the estimated wait time for our food was too long for it to be feasible for my group (sure, it's labeled as 'fine dining' but I've seen hundreds better places with way better service - it was almost as if they had no interest in serving us?). Eventually we had to walk out, having wasted about 20 minutes. Do not go here unless you have plenty of time to spare. Hopefully the food is better than their service.

We ordered the vegetarian rattatoulie, great flavors and the new menu item, pork belly with scallops omg phenomenal. For culinary students, these folks do a tremendous job. The food is well prepared, and the service is attentive and professional. My mussels were tender and sweet, my filet mignon special was pretty much the best I ever tasted. Knowing that most ingredients are sourced from local farms is a definite plus, the freshness is unrivaled by any standard restaurant.

We've been here a couple times so I thought I'd write a review: The place looks great, and the food is overall pretty good. Not many options for a vegetarian though (or even someone who just wants a break from seafood or meat.) A couple meat-less pasta dishes added to the menu would be nice. We decided to have dinner here because we heard good things about this place. We get there and the young lady tells us we are booked up and the wait will be 45 to an hour before we could get a table. We were disappointed but we were willing to wait. We looked into the dining room that was almost empty. The young lady talk to the manager to see if she can get us in sooner. The manager lady tell her "Well the wait is 45 or they can go somewhere else!" Not very professional and I didn't appreciate her tone.

Excellent service, excellent food and drinks with healthy options, and excellent ambiance. This is the first time I give a 5 star review to a restaurant. We loved it so much we made a reservation to go again for dinner. We loved the chicken and sausage soup, the stuffed banana peppers, the Frutti de Marie, and the Steak Au Poivre. We also loved our desserts, and cocktails. Our server was so fun and friendly. We felt welcome right when we got in. We were in a rush to eat our dinner I couldn't get pictures of our full plates :( But will do next time.

Lied to twice. The lady said there was no more seating and had an attitude… I looked over and pointed out there was a lot of open tables next to people eating. Open kitchen with the students cooking and serving. We made reservations beforehand which I guess is recommended since it is in a tourist town and will fill quickly. We started with bread and butter ( the blueberry butter should be packaged to sell it was amazing) then we got salad my husband got the blt Flatbread.. entree husband and I had pork chops . Delicious . Dessert I had a chocolate mousse ( think that's what I was called ) it was delicious as well... each person is $25 .... we thought it was a great value especially for all you get

Highly Recommended!! Yes you have to make a reservation and yes you may see empty tables when you look in. But this is a classroom and a restaurant. The Scampi was the best I had ever had bar none! (Spidy) For the price of local hamburger you will get a over the top dining experience! The tomato basil soup was so good my wife wanted to lick the bowl! Staff we're very attentive. Had the vegan ratatouille (one of the few plant options I could find in town). It had fantastic texture contrast and flavour. Not the usual amorphous mass I'm used to. Went early and didn't have any problems with seating or wait times. Great atmosphere.

Unbelievable experience! From our waitress Britney to the Seafood Alfredo prepared by student chef Mike the meal is one I will rate as one of the best ever. In a town with mostly chain mediocre restaurants the Savor stands out as one of the best. Thank you to the manager Britney for overseeing such a fantastic experience!

I wish I could give this restaurant MORE than five star! :) My fiance and I enjoyed an engagement dinner at Savor with our friends, and the staff made the evening very memorable. Our server, Courtney, took special care to give us a few surprises in celebration of our engagement. They gave us "something blue" (in the wedding spirit) by giving us two complimentary glasses of blue wine. She also gave us a chocolate cake that said "Congratulations". We didn't have to ask for any of this. More than one manager came to our table to make us feel welcome and to congratulate us on our engagement. The quality of the food was fantastic, and very well presented. Savor was definitely worth the trip down from Canada. We would definitely recommend Savor for any special event or professional crowd (I'll be recommending it to the other lawyers at my firm in Toronto).

So good we went back the next day. We're picky. My husband is celiac so needs gluten free, but they were able to find us some delicious options from the menu. All of the food was cooked perfectly and the service really lovely. My oyster starter was very well seasoned. Really recommend the duck, it is one of the best dishes we've had in a while. Really bad experience with this restaurant. Waiter is so rude. They made mistake on our food. Our family including my toddler have been waiting for food for almost 35 minutes.. without any apology, the waiter asked us to leave????? Just because customer is asking why food is still not ready yet??? Come on! It is shame! Is this professional restaurant? Worst experience ever. If you wanna decent food and nice experience .... I expected this from other reviews and we didn’t mind at first but they ran out of glass at first at the bar even though there were not many people, refill took Forever during dinner and we finally got water after asking them three times when we were Paying. Lol. We were not even rushing but we did feel uncomfortable and the service did not meet the expectations at all. Maybe go when you feel very chill and if you have a Lot of time. Oh and if you don’t like to drink water.

Appetizers were great, be careful because their entrees dont often come with sides and there is no where on the menue to order sides. They have a great burger special but i ordered it and my burger was very burnt every bite tasted like charre d.c. meat until i cut the burned part off then it was pretty good! I didnt complain or send it back because they are culinary students cooking the meal and i didn't want to get anyone in trouble. But whoever was supervising should have noticed how burned it really was. Still a great place right downtown near the falls and the prices are pretty good

So happy we heard about this place. Words alone can’t describe how great it really is. Tough to get in on the weekends but once you are there,it’s a amazing experience. It is run by the culinary institute with the students greeting and cooking. They are as good as chefs in other restaurants. They are so friendly and our determined to make sure you are happy. Problem with your meal? They take it back no questions asked and fix it. Dinner is 3 courses and well worth the price. My family and I are making this our top restaurant to eat there. The atmosphere is so soothing. Get there early if you want to relax . My advice, go and tell others. Support these young chefs

We stumbled upon this place, and glad we did. It’s part of the culinary institute and is primarily staffed by students who rotate positions to get experience in front of house and the kitchen . It’s a prix fixe menu - lunch is 2 courses and dinner is 3 courses. Everything was very good and the portions are quite generous. The service was attentive and friendly. Make sure you make a reservation because it will book up. They are not able to accept tips but instead you can leave a donation to the institute with your bill.

This is the restaurant of the culinary school and the food wasn't bad, but the hostess and wait staff are not good. We were a party of 2 without a reservation. The hostess said it would be a 5-10 minute wait. We sat at the bar next to the host stand to wait. About 5 minutes later another couple came in, said they did not have a reservation and we're sat immediately. We had already been waiting and should have been sat first.

We went here in Valentine’s Day for the first time wonderful food, great atmosphere, excellent service. A great menu with local flare. The beet carpaccio was great, the desserts a chocolate coffee tower and key lime pie were outstanding. Local wines highlighted the meal. Please do yourself a favor and give savor a try. Very slow service. Food was slow (received 30-40 minutes after ordered). The calamari was chewy and the breading was all on the plate instead of the calamari. 3 people ordered steak... 2 were over peppered to the point where it was barely edible. The waiter and chef were informed of the excess pepper but there was no attempt to show concern. Also, when they brought out drink refills, they didn't take away the empty glass. Seems to be a lack of management. Everyone seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at all.
