This was my first time eating in this area of Toronto, the restaurant is huge and was super busy when we went. We still managed to have good service and great food. The patio wasnt open at this point and we were seated in the very back, it felt quite secluded from the atmosphere of the restaurant. Would go back but likely sit somewhere else.

Have been many times for dinner or drinks or brunch: always happy, never wait for a table. This is my favourite brunch spot because there's no wait and the prices are fair, and most of all because I get perfectly ripe banana and berries with my bacon & eggs rather than melons I don't eat. The food always tastes good and fresh (e.g. kale and sausage soup was SO good!). Plus, the music volume is low enough you can hear conversation and still enjoy the great rock songlist.

A really good atmosphere inside and the lady who served us was great, just enough engagement. The food, burgers and chips, were tasty and the beer flowed easily (the waitress was attentive when I started becoming empty). Definitely make a visit here!!

I don't usually write reviews but this restaurant is amazing. The atmosphere, the service, and the food were all out of this world. I would gladly go back and will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others. It's simple, this place rules.

For some reason Google Maps will direct you to the back alley. My friend and I both ended up there, in the dark, and were confused by the sign that said "Access to Factory Girl" (which we later figured was deliveries). The directions given lead to the heated patio in the back, but it's fenced in so you have to go in via Danforth which has the front entrance. First impressions aside, Factory Girl has an extensive menu and attentive service. I enjoyed the dessert -- a molten lava cake topped with ice cream. Yum!

Really enjoyed going to this place whenever I get the chance to enjoy a delicious meal. My visit today was good, however I felt a couple things could improve to make it better. 1) I ordered the bruschetta, and I felt there were too much tomato-basil mixture. Taking a few bites of it made some of it to fall off. Maybe adding a little less, could make it a less messy experience. 2) Servers/waiters are really nice and courteous. But it's troublesome when they don't come by to check on you to see if you are enjoying the meal. It will be hard and probably rude for the customer to call on the waiter if there ever is an issue with their meals or if they need anything else while enjoying it. I hope the restaurant takes consideration to make the best service for all future customers.

Yesterday was my significant other's last day in Toronto before flying out. We shared a Rigatoni ala Vodka here in the back yard, and it was easily the best Vodka pasta we've ever had. Service was amazing. Our server knew the wine offered there super well and made an amazing recommendation. Atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, a phenomenal dining experience, and will definitely be back for more!

The pizza my friend got was soggy and not well made, overpriced for sure. Location is decent at least if you are going to the Danforth...and...they have beer?? So that helps.

I go to Factory Girl at least twice per month for lunch. I've never been for dinner. I love the service, especially when the owner himself is serving. I usually modify my order and he is always happy to do so. If you get a chance try their homegrown sausage - it's delicious.

Great place for a chance to catch up with a small group of friends. We didn't eat but every dish brought out looked and smelled delicious. The only problem is the beer. Unfortunately, the draught beer that I got and my buddy got, 2 different draughts, tasted off, like they were old beer or the lines for the tap and kegs had not been cleaned. The rest of the place is great though, just need a bit of upkeep on their tap and keg lines.

Every time I hit the Danforth Music Hall to see a show I end up here. Phenomenal food that is always fresh and inspiring! With an on tap menu to cater to all this is the place to be on the Danforth. The Rock and roll atmosphere certainly doesn't hurt. For the first timers in the summer make sure to go all the way to the back and check out the back patio!

I have been a fond regular of this cozy and familiar gastropub. The girls are so friendly and lovely; I feel at home every time I step in! I really do miss them if I haven't been for a while. It was hard for me to personally trek there in the harsh cold of winter, but I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so that I can walk there more often. This is a must-visit establishment. The food is prepared with such care (compliments to the chef) and the girls will always know something good to drink (with some initial input of course)! I love this place, the food, the staff, the name, the atmosphere, .... Oh and there's lots of photos of famous musicians, so go if your especially a music lover and a food lover!

This is our 'go to' spot for food and drinks before shows at the Danforth Music Hall, which we go a lot. Good pizza, great mac and cheese and I like the tacos for a light and satisfying nosh before a show. Good patio for summer too. It's a good local and a great meeting spot for shows.

Went to this restaurant for dinner. Service was great and food came out very quick. We shared calamari which was tasty. The best part though was the tzatziki was a little hard to dip because it was cold but once you got your fork in there the flavour was great. I had the club sandwich which was not like your traditional club but overall was good. Fish and chips was the other dish and I found that to be fresh and not over battered. Overall it was good just a little pricey for what you get in my opinion.

OMG! Excellent food, quickly prepared! We has the Luigi and Maria pizzas - perfect, and a great flavour contrast. The Mac&Cheese was very flavourful and exactly what our housemate was desiring. The Scampi Linguine was exactly as it should be - simple AND delicious. The staff was also quite willing to help out with the menu and answer our concerns. They really helped! I'm a first-time customer, but I really recommend Factory Girl. I'll be ordering from them, and going to visit when they finally get to serve us all again. ❤❤❤

I have been here before and had great service. I was disappointed the other night when I went there. My husband and I wanted to have a couple of drinks and something to eat before we went to a show. We arrived and sat at the only clean table we could see. It was part of a group of six tables. The waitress came up and asked us if we could move to the double table beside us (which wasn't clean) and that she would come and clean it up for us (She wasn't particularly friendly). We had no probIem moving to a double clean table. I went downstairs to the washroom and when I came back up, my husband still had not been asked what we wanted to drink (my husband had not yet moved to the cleaned double table mind you), perhaps he was waiting for me. He did however mention that he could see five staff members not busy (who could have taken our drink orders). Overall, we waited far too long to be acknowledged let alone ask what we wanted to drink. We felt agitated and uncomfortable so we just left. It was not a good experience. I'll give it two stars because the past two times I've been there, it's been great. I'm not sure I'll return after this last visit.

I had a completely forgetable meal. I mean, who can't cook a chicken based meal and have it taste decent or flavorful. Topper, cockroach on the wall freaked my wife out so much she stopped eating. Went before a show at the Danforth Music Hall thinking it would be a fun way to start the night. We still talk about that over priced bug place a year later. I'm writing this cuz my phone prompted me to. We were in the area again last night and must have been "bugged" by their WiFi. Avoid.

Factory Girl is one of our favourite restaurants! Went for dinner on Saturday night and as always, we had a fabulous meal with impeccable service. The food was delicious - everything is great. We particularly love the calamari, fresh pizzas from the wood-burning oven, fish tacos, the pasta dishes and fish & chips! George, the owner, goes out of his way to accommodate all guests and special requests while maintaining an exceptionally clean and safe environment. The servers, Carlo and Danni, are warm, friendly and so helpful. We love dining at Factory Girl with our kids and with our friends - perfect location with great food, amazing service and fabulous ambiance (love the music and all the great music-themed decor!)! I highly recommend!

Visited on the Holiday Monday. We walked in without a reservation at 6:30 pm and were seated in the pretty back patio. The staff were friendly and the food was good though the kitchen was working pretty slowly so our appetizers took 45 mins to come out. We ordered the Beet Salad, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Ploughman's Board. All were delicious. Would come back and hope that the slow food was just a fluke of the holiday.

We had the best experience at Factory Girl! We went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and we had the most amazing experience. Kaela was our waitress she went absolutely above and beyond for us. They didn’t have any colouring pages for our kids, so Kaela printed off some colouring pages right then and there and then ran across the street to buy crayons for us! Wow!! She made us feel extremely comfortable and certainly well taken care of. The restaurant was very busy, but Kaela was very communicative and kept us in the loop. We never felt like we had been waiting, it was great! The food was fantastic also, Kaela suggested the fish & chips and it was delicious! Crispy, fresh, and came out quickly. The kids ordered the pizza and spaghetti and I was very impressed with how quickly the food came out. The kids were able to eat first, which was so great! All in all we had such a great time, we will be coming back for sure! Thanks for such a great experience! Kaela, we hope you are working next time we come in :)

I like this place a lot if I need to meet a friend for drinks on the east side. Menu is decent for pub food, nothing spectacular. It's just very laid back and the service is great. No aggressively loud music and it doesn't get as packed as some other joints so all good in the hood!

Normally a great place for drinks as the beer menu has a good selection of crafts and there's an even better spirits menu. Food menu is great. On the pricier side, but in line with the quality and location. Went in for an early brunch on Saturday. Although we were one of the only tables there in the first hour, the server seemed uninterested in visiting us. 20 minutes would pass between her coming to the table, which meant frequently empty and forlorn coffee mugs. We had kids with us, and the server was clearly getting annoyed that they were rowdy near the end of brunch. That really could have been solved by visiting us regularly enough that we could order the bill. As it was I had to flag down the host before we could pay. This place is great and temporarily drops to 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the occasional waitstaff who are just uninterested in serving will just ruin a visit.

We booked a guys night dinner and drinks for about 18 people. They set us up in the private back room area so we could mingle and chat without disruption. The food was great. Our waitress (Ashley) was amazing. Kept the drinks flowing and the party upbeat with her friendly and fun demeanour. Within about 5 minutes she knew everyone in the rooms name and what they were drinking and was very attentive to our group despite cover other tables in the main area.

This has been my place for almost a decade. The venue is wonderful, the servers are charming and provide the best customer service I've in my forty years have experienced. The taps are varied and the food is AMAZING. If I had only one choice, Factory Girl would be THE place

I come here quite often. Love the homemade sausage. The walls are full of posters of great rock and roll bands from the 60's & 70's (and a few more recent). The pasta special is usually delicious as are the meatballs. Service is great and there is a hidden patio at the back of the restaurant.

Food was good, but none of the servers were wearing masks, I saw one table only half wiped, the menus didn't look like they were cleaned (although admittedly I didn't see this) and the back patio lacked any physical distancing. The server said that the high-back wooden chairs provided enough protection. I have seen other restaurants take the precautions more seriously.

Food was mainly good, service could have been better. Took a long time to order/pay (didn’t seem that busy) and the one dish our party didn’t like (had WAY too much of a single ingredient for any of our tastes) wasn’t handled particularly well by our server. Otherwise, the other dishes (including the replacement we had to order for the first one we also had to pay for) were pretty good.

HORRIBLE I never write reviews, I don't complain, but my experience was so terrible I have to this time. I'm an MD and after working a 12 hour shift under lights, I was a bit disappointed to be seated under a bright light in the corner of the back room (while there were still tables available up front, and the back room was empty). When requested to be seated at one of the many other empty tables in the back (any other), the staff was hesitant, but agreed. After our appetizers showed up we were told (not asked) that we needed to be re-seated. At this point the entire back room was still empty!?? I expressed to the waitress I just didn't want to sit under the bright light in the corner, and being that the whole room was empty, could we just stay where we were. The waitress looked almost fearful, and went to speak with the owner again. Without saying anything to us, or apologizing, the owner came over and took the light out of the lamp, and looked angry while doing so. He never acknowledged me, and made me feel unwanted. They then told us to move. Instead, I suggested I would pay for what I had ate, and would just head out. At this point I heard the owner slam something and yell "this is bullshit" at his staff. I paid my bill, no staff members apologized, and not once did the owner come to talk to me. The food is not that good that you have to put up with an owner who doesn't appreciate business on a busy strip like the Danforth. I wont be back, and nor should you.

Guy owner is rude! My wife sat at their patio and ordered wine. Owner comes to her and tells her if she wants to stay at the patio, she has to order drinks at least. She already ordered! Was just waiting for her drink! The nerve of this guy. Maybe it's because we're Asians. I'm half Greek, half Asian. Leaved in Toronto all my life. So has my wife. We've never been treated so poorly and discriminated upon like this in Toronto until now. Definitely spreading this review to all my Greek, and asian-descent friends who actually leave around the area.

Food and service was good but owner stopped me at the door with my service dog, without identifying himself, stating that dogs were not allowed in. I informed him that she was a service dog but the owner fought me saying that I don't look sick and asked for my personal medical information. I presented paperwork stating the dog is certified and walked in. After our meal I confronted the owner with the AODA to which he told me it did not apply because I did not look disabled. As the conversation went on he stated he didn't want any dog in his business regardless and that if I was sick I should just stay at home.

If I could give a negative rating I would! Food was horrible and staff/management were extremely rude. I also experienced racist undertones from this establishment. I would never return here again! In response to the owners response below this is exactly what I am talking about. This charity event was used to promote your food. The food that I was so called “eating” from your stall while I was waiting on a friend on the patio while she used the bathroom which a employee had said she could. Yes I am not a child which is why I understand how a customer or potential customers should be treated. You had a very aggressive tone when I was simply waiting on a friend. I was neither rude or disrespectful to you in any way and you approached me in a very aggressive and threatening tone. I also saw how you spoke to the white couple who did the same and you were very polite which I unfortunately could not say for myself. It looks like I am not the only person that had experienced this at your establishment based on other comments people have posted on separate occasions.

Great place for a casual meal! Trendy with a great selection of food (from starters to salads to amazing pizzas and pasta), craft beers, cocktails and wine. Kid-friendly, popular with parents during the week. Nice patio in the back is the perfect place on Sundays to take advantage of their $2 4pm corking fee. BYOW people!! Only cons are the prices are a bit high for a casual meal. Especially the sweet potato fries. Last time I was there, we got some on the side and for $7.50 we got maybe a handful. Not worth the price. All in all its a great place to hang.

This one star review is only for the breakfast I just had this morning. Normally I'd give Factory Girl 5 stars as their lunch and dinners I've had have been fantastic. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't anywhere close to the quality. First off the price. Normally at any restaurant, I get eggs with sausage and a side of bacon. And no eggs. Any restaurant I've been to includes a choice of meats with the meal. NOT Factory Girl. Meats were separate. I know the menu online says different, but the menu I got was NOT the same. Meat was charged separately. The meal was meh. Bacon was cold, and it was replaced with a hot portion. However, it was still chewy, almost as if it was leftovers reheated. I got one sausage. The potatoes were OK as was the toast. Coffee was also extra. The bill came and I was charged for everything, which really isn't an issue. However, pretty much any other restaurant I've been to where I don't have the eggs, either give me a break on the bill, or throw in extra portions of meat, fruit, something. This morning, nothing. Total cost without tip was about $23 which was way over priced considering the quality, I had no eggs, and the price of other breakfasts on the Danforth. I did mention all of this to the waitress who was great and said she'd pass on the info. Overall, I probably won't eat breakfast at Factory Girl again, but will continue their Lunch and Dinner items.

I'll just say this because i feel it really puts in perspective the review: i'm italian born and raised, moved to canada three years ago with a bunch of colleagues from Italy for work. I usually really like this place but I came on a Saturday night alone and I was ignored I suppose because I was just a single woman. It was so long I had to go inside off the patio and ask for the bill. The waiter kept attending to tables surrounding me that were couples.He did not check in with me and ask if I wanted anything else. I had to walk in to the guy at the door who was actually very polite. I have come here a few times before and have had good service. Their tacos are really good. I know they get busy in the evening but I'm still a paying customer and am not less important because I am alone.

Went here for a few drinks before a concert. Whilst I was paying for my drinks and about to get other money out to leave a tip. A waitress came up to me very rudely and said its rude to not leave a tip. She had assumed I wasn't leaving a tip simply because I was getting ready to go and didn't put money on the table quick enough to give them a tip. You can be sure I didn't leave a tip after that. You treat me like that then you will get no tip. Will also not be ever returning. The tip that was going to go to them also was given to a homeless person instead.

I friend took me to this place and told me that Factory Girl was a song by the Rolling Stones. I had no idea, but inside there were plenty of Rolling Stones memorabilia. Interesting. The food was fine, nothing to write home about, I just thought the place was a little bit out of ambient amongst all the Greek joints on the Danforth.

Over priced with free hair! A poutine, 2 lbs. Of wings with fries and 4 pints cost $125! The food was nothing special unless you count the long hair my husband choked on. He was hungry and ate the rest of the food while waiting for the waitress to return. The staff didn't seem to bothered by the long hair in his food. They looked at me as if it was mine. I don't know how my hair got woven through his wing breading.

We walk in...they talk to us from across the restaurant no personal interaction what so ever...the server hands us our menus then immediately before we even open the menu stands over us and asks for our drink orders. We asked for a mojhito and a sprite she brings out a coke and a shoddy cocktail... when she takes our food orders my order was the ahi tuna tacos with NO jalapeno peppers when she brings it out they are covered in them... then when I bring it to her attention all she has to say is oh sorry and took them back... that's 2 big mess ups in one order... I'm definitely never eating here again

I have never had a bad experience here. Its probably my favorite place on the danforth that isn't greek food. I plan brunches here, I've watched the game here. We have "film family brunch" here as many times a year as we can. The food is always amazing although I usually stick to the meatballs with a couple slices of bread for me to dunk in their AMAZING SAUCE. I have actually taken my leftover sauce home to drip a grilled cheese in later. I have however tried other things on their menu and enjoyed them all. The service is always attentive and friendly. They keep my coffee with Bailies coming. There are parking options very close to it. Its a hit with whoever I bring there. Its a great stop to meet up with a friend or family.

Great food and service. Just have to be aware of events at the Music Hall down the street and if there's something really popular, book a table. Great wine list, casual dining. Patio in the summer is really nice and fenced in, so private.

The service was bizarre. Multiple wrong orders, had to ask for ketchup four times, bills messed up and we were the only table so it wasn't about being overwhelmed. My pizza was tasty though, but undercooked crust. Probably one of the strangest dining experiences I've ever had.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu, but their wood-fired pizza is the standout menu option. I got the factory pizza and it was fantastic. I'm a pretty big guy and I still ended up taking a quarter of it home. If you're looking great pizza or looking for a change from the excellent Greek food in the area, Factory Girl is definitely not a place to miss.

The place is actually fairly large and the food menu looks great - Italian inspired. The beer and scotch lists are solid but the wines are too California-centric. Good atmosphere with most people in their 30s or 40s. It did get quite loud once it filled though.

We spent a very enjoyable evening at Factory Girl last night, Sunday, Sept. 5th. The food, specially the crab cakes were superb. Service was also excellent. All in all, for a casual evening out, I would highly recommend Factory Girl. As an aside, I actually own the Rolling Stones vinyl album with their song, Factory Girl, on it. Its their Beggars Banquet album!

Love the fish and chips; especially the fresh fries. Pizza is way better than you’d expect for a bar too. But for a place that’s named after a Rolling Stones song that has walls full of music posters i have to say that it’s disappointing how little music is actually a part of the place. Couldn’t even hear the music on a Saturday night. So yeah, it’s a nice place to grab some solid bar food with a couple friends if you really want to talk. It’s great for large groups. Our waitress was incredible, but also dripping in sweat. Surprised how little help she had for a Saturday night. Once the theatre crowd came in it was pretty hard to get quick service.
