About the only place in Yellowknife you can get decent pho unless it's homemade. I wouldn't say that it's that great but it will get you by if you're having a craving. There is no cilantro or lime offered with it which is unfortunate. The broth is average, no better, sometimes worse. Staff is generally prompt to serve and get your food but can lack in follow up on drinks.

I don’t care if it is your policy that if there are 6 or people at a table, if I am going to tip, which I usually I do, it will be my choice not yours. Tasty Vietnamese. Very similar to places I’ve gone to in Edmonton. Really enjoyed getting deep fried wontons with my meal. The wait staff for fairly friendly, but not super attentive. Does not serve hot tea like most real Viet diners. Missing some key traditional Viet desserts. But this isn't the biggest issue. They only have two items for dessert menu. Here comes the major issues: Prices of menu items that are exceptionally expensive. The quality of the food and the value needs work. Menu items are in the $15+ range there is no reason for Viet food to be anywhere near this range of price considering the quantity and quality of the cooking. The biggest issue was that the servers made assumption that we were Japanese tourists and tagged us with an automatic 15% gratuity charge on my bill even though their menu only states they auto gratuity for parties of 6+. Another huge issue was that we were double taxed GST twice and then taxed 15% on top of that driving what would have been a $44 bill to $58+. This experience leads me to believe that this restaurant routinely skims foreign non English speaking tourists who aren't aware of our Canadian customs of their money. This form of skimming is a form of fraud and warrants criminal charges. Servers are not properly trained with the standards of hospitality. Naturally you can expect poor service. I would have given zero star if it wasn't for the lovely nephew working the cashier till apologizing and happily corrected the mistakes on the bill for us and issued a new carbon copy on demand. I cannot give more stars because the price, quality and quantity of the food needs serious work. They deserved 0% tip, but we still gave them 10% just because we're Canto, and we are generous enough to give them something even for such terrible practices and services. If you're the nephew working the cashier till and you're reading this, come to Vancouver where you belong.
