When a Texan moves to Nova Scotia they miss one thing A LOT, and that is very good Mexican food made with authentic spices, perfect flavorings and care. Having lived in Nova Scotia for over 3 years now I've looked all over Halifax and the HRM for good Mexican food I was amazed to find Mr. Gonzales on a trip to Yarmouth. His food is authentic, it smells amazing when you walk through the door, and is just fantastic. Without question the best burritos I've eaten north of the border. If you are looking for something special, you would be in for a treat stopping in this small place. Mr. Gonzales, you have made this long displaced Texan family very happy and we appreciate the work you do in making all of your food so wonderful.

Yay! A new place to eat in Yarmouth and a new flavor! Taco's are amazing build your own style. Highly recommend the quesadilla, best I have ever had. The owners are great to chat with and are very happy and friendly.

Amazing to find this authentic Mexican experience in little old Yarmouth! The chorizo was spicy, but not overdone. 3 tacos for $10- can’t beat the price or the taste. Owner/proprietor was gracious and friendly without being overbearing. 10/10 would eat there again.

One of Yarmouth's gems. Really good and authentic Mexican food conveniently located on Main Street. Its right next to Yarmouth's other Mexican big brand/franchise fast-food restaurant which I find kinda funny lol. My favorite is a chorizo taco with pico' and habanero sauce ???? I'd eat here multiple times a week if I lived in Town. Check out their awards.

Best Mexican in Nova Scotia and worth the drive to Yarmouth. Ordered the saucy chicken and flavourful pork tacos. The tortillas are like little chewy pillows. The guacamole has a delicious lime flavour. Highly recommended and lovely owners/hospitality.

Probably the best food in downtown Yarmouth, but also some of the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico. Everything tastes fresh and crisp, and the portion sizes won't leave you hungry. Spice level is a bit on the mild side, so up it to hot if you're a medium... But maybe he has a secret stash in the back for those with steel guts... ????

We went to this restaurant because we love Mexican food and I have to say it was amazing. The service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. We got the tacos in soft shells and they were all great. My favourite was the chicken taco with salsa verde, pinto beans, and the pepper sauce. The flavors were great together and tasted very traditional. Also the pricing for tacos is very fair for the amount you get. I would definitely suggest trying this restaurant if you are in town and am very happy to see Yarmouth is getting more variety in food.

I’m not really a Mexican food “connoisseur” but I’m pretty sure this restaurant is top notch. In fact, I’m pretty sure this is truly authentic Mexican food. All ingredients were very fresh. And the dishes themselves were above and beyond any Mexican food I’ve eaten before. The two Mexican guys behind the counter were very friendly and humored my indecisiveness, thankfully. I ordered three varied dishes (to go) to share with my cousin and aunt -both of whom has only had Mexican food once before, and were not fans- we all LOVED the dishes. Not a scrap was left for the dogs. :)
