Awful service- service here is almost non-existent and what little there is is piss-poor. Completely ignored, had to ask to get seated. Were about to leave but was too hungry and thought it might just be a one-time error. Then actually had to ask for: menu, water, to order. Received them without a trace of warmth or apology for ignoring us. Is this normal? Ridiculous. Won't ever be back, and will be spreading the word about this joke of a place.

Make a reservation just to be safe, it fills up fast, especially on weekends. Yeah, it's that good. My favourite dishes here include the pakora and the chicken tiki marsala (sp?). We pay our babysitter in butter chicken whenever we eat here. All in all, the food is delicious and the service is friendly.

Everything we ordered was delicious! We had butter chicken, Rogan Josh (beef), naan basket, raite, basmati rice, masala chai (to drink) and pistachio kulfi for dessert. All really delicious! Service was also excellent and fast. Restaurant was clean. Will return from London to Woodstock just to eat here again!

Made an impromptu stop for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise! Our meal was quite good and our server was welcoming and friendly. While the onion bhaji and naan were not the best we have ever had, the accompanying dips were great and the beef dansak and chicken vindaloo were both wonderful.

I've gone to Tandoori Knight twice during my business travels to the Woodstock area. Once was for lunch, I arrived about 15minutes before the lunch service ended and I was welcomed without a word, did not feel rushed while eating either. The hariyali chicken is to die for! My only regret each time is that I'm alone and have no one to share multiple dishes with!

The food was amazing. We tried dishes that we had never tried before and were all quite impressed with the flavours. We tried some vegetarian dishes and were glad that we did. The service could have been better considering we were the only people dining in the restaurant. But most of the time the service is good. We will definitely be back and I will try to remember to take pictures of the food. But aren't these elephant's beautiful? The lovely decor adds to this fine dining experience.

You can tell them what you feel like and spice or not so and they know the menu and or you want to try something different that you want to try something g different. Indian food review from an Indian: food was flavourful but lacking spice, okra was under cooked, portions were small and expensive. Naans are thin and small ($3.50 each), first ones came out dry and hard, second order was buttery and soft. Eggplant, pulao rice, and mango lassi were good. Raita was incredibly small ($3.25). $58 is what everything costed for two people, we didn't get an app. One mango lassi and two garlic naan orders. Food did come out quick. If you regularly eat Indian food I would recommend asking for the dishes spicy. Service: slow. Owner/manager is the only one taking orders and seating people. We got water after getting our order taken. People seemed to be waiting long. One table was missing cutlery and they had to go to the bar to get it after their food has been delivered. For a nice dining place I was surprised that you had to go the bar to get and pay your bill, they do not come to you're table. Three people were up there paying as well and it took some time probably because they seemed to have issues with their bills. The staff was friendly. Location: washroom was clean. Only saw street parking but it is free for 2 hours. Got there around 5:30pm on a Saturday and there were a few spots. It's a small place so I would highly recommend a reservation. More than 60% of the tables were reserved and one 6 person group that had just come in was seated at a table meant for 4. It was our first time to Woodstock. Not sure if there is another Indian restaurant in town but if there is I would recommend you go there. For $30 per person and no appetizer I would expect a lot more.

Omg! What an experience. First, walking into the restaurant you are greeted by this amazing aroma that just tickles your soul, sending your taste buds into a frenzy anticipating their amazing food. The food, is incredible. The portion sizes are big even though you don't think so at first, they really are. The flavors... oh so delicious! I don't even know how to explain it. The price you ask? Well, a dinner for 2 with drinks, appetizers, meal, dessert, a hefty tip, and a take away bag... not just affordable but a bang for your buck! 5 star dining, at half the cost. The atmosphere is friendly, calm, and relaxing. A place to go with friends, family, or that special date! It is clean. The staff is helpful, polite and attentive. There just isn't enough room in this review to explain what an amazing gem this is in the heart of Woodstock! Takeout menu available too!! Could it get any better? I will be back... very soon!

The food here was absolutely fantastic, with options ranging from mild to spicy. The menu has very helpful descriptions of each dish for those who are not familiar with Indian cuisine. The food felt and tasted really authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Samosas were the best I've ever had. We got the bread basket so we could sample different beads and loved all of them. Service was very welcoming and professional. We will definitely be bringing our friends and family here!

Decent place, I can see why it received such high reviews for being the only Indian place down in Woodstock. The food was good, but not amazing. It lacked that authentic spice level which is what Indian food is all about. Portions are small compared to most places and price is high for what you’re given. Service is on par but not friendly or warm, no one checked up on us after dropping off the food. You can feel that the staff catered to the older customers first, which felt unsettling. If you have no other Indian restaurant options this place will do, otherwise I’d venture out a little and try some truly spectacular places in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, etc. You’re gonna wanna rethink that 5 Star after!

Truly amazing Indian food that transported me back to me hometown in India. This place is a hidden gem. I have no idea how Woodstock managed to secure such a great Indian takeout place. I haven't eaten such great Indian authentic food in such a long time. I even brought the food for my parents who just came from India and they also were supposed how great the food was and how so close to home the taste was. 5/5 stars for the food. The only thing I would say it's that the hospitality could be better from the staff but I will forgive them since the food was so great ????????

Fantastic experience and great food. I'm typically not an Indian food person, because I really can't stand spicy food, but the variety here was excellent. The waiter explained that the menu was set out mild at the top, spicy at the bottom, and I discovered that I actually had a lot of options! I got chicken korma, which was ah-mazing, with rice and garlic naan bread. The portions were large, so I took a lot home and had it the next day. Wonderful.

It’s good food!!!! I love the atmosphere! Waiters are nice enough.. washrooms are clean, but it’s disgusting that they reuse the same dipping sauce tray from table to table. I seen people dunk their appetizers, lick their fingers and double dunk again, all for the waiter to pick up their table and pass the same used sauce caddy to our table without changing the sauce ,arriving to us half empty and chunks of coconut and god knows what else from whatever the previous table dunked into it. This is not only gross it made me Lose my appetite and it’s a huge allergy risk for those with allergies! When you are putting people at risk of being sick why not just switch to separate containers and fill them less full to eliminate waste? At the price of your food just quit being so cheap. We won’t be back because it’s Tacky to reuse sauce it’s careless, disgusting and dirty. Ever heard it’s rude to double dip? It’s even ruder to pass on someone’s leftovers and charge them for it!

I was disappointed. The staff was friendly, but, the pakora was very salty, I've never had bhaji that looked or tasted like that. Everything looked flattened, refried, over cooked and was pretty greasy. My samosa was tuff and over stuffed. It was unlike any other Indian food I've ever had...not in a good way :(

Friendly service, but having grown up eating Indian food on a regular basis in the UK I find the food more similar to what you would get out of a jar. The naan bread looks I had looks like it was made on a flat top and not in a tandoor oven.

A truly outstanding culinary experience! I’ve never been disappointed by the variety of truly delicious dishes this kitchen produces. Try their sizzler appetizer for a great sample plate of spicy chicken, lamb sausage and several other lovely vegetarian Indian delights. Of course they crank out a wicked Butter Chicken, which is also available as a real reasonable mid week lunch special. Try this place!

Ordered tonight for my wife and I and we were both very disappointed. The curry was very oily and bland, We Wouldn't order again. This was a takeout order.

My beautiful daughter arranged to have this Indian dinner for me and my boyfriend. It came warm and flavourful. Upon tasting the pakoras...they were exceptionally bland and greasy. The goat curry was tough and chewy. The naan breads were ok but extremely garlicky and all the chicken was delicious however still bland of flavor. Indian and Pakistani food should"wreak" with flavor and smell. Disappointment

I used to take out from there often but left it soon after I noticed that the owners are extremely rude and lack professionalism. In addition the food quality has gone bad a lot, I will not recommend it anymore try other restaurants opened in the town at least they are friendly and do not charge ridiculous prices for their average quality food. And yea please trust my opinion as I am an Indian myself and know how real Indian food tastes. The price they charge for this so called Indian food are totally wrong and overly high. The owners being rude are also noticed by other customer read their reviews don't just get fooled by the good reviews as they are only 1 or 2 times customers.

Never ordering from here again. I had to double check that i actually ordered from tandori knight and not tandori delight. I never tried tandori delight but i assume its trash. In retrospect I'd have been happier with them because i had low expectations . The tandoori knight i fell in love with years ago is now dead to me. I feel diplomatic tension between myself and all indian people will arrise because of this. Dramatic? Yes, disappointed? Absofrigginlutely

If you like Indian food! Go there! Well worth the drive from Cambridge,Waterloo,London and surrounding areas. Recommend the Danzan. That curry is just amazing. Couldn't recommend this Indian Restaurant more highly. Excellent decor, feels like a very traditional Indian restaurant. But again, food is amazing! You will not be disappointed.

We order supper at 9pm, I had the butter chicken and my husband had the beef vindaloo. The server was knowledgeable and friendly, service was quick, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend this restruant to my friends and family!

Amazing quality and authentic food! The garlic naan is to die for as well as the chicken pasanda and samosas. Will always recommend this place and will drive 1 hour just to get it. When we were in woodstock this was our go to every Friday so we miss being so close.

Very enjoyable- lots of flavour without being only hot. Staff did an amazing job with a food allergy. They viewed all selections, made adaptations where possible and where it wasn't possible made sure we knew what dish was what. Price was no different from the restaurants in the GTA.

My family and I have been eating at Tandoori since they opened. A lot of restaurants seem to change with time as far as the quality of the food or customer service. Not Tandoori. The food has remained stellar, the customer service is amazing, and the atmosphere/music is wonderful. I must add that the staff are not only wonderful, they are honest. Yesterday after eating we left a 50% tip (on purpose). We then payed the bill, told the cashier how much we enjoy coming there, and then left. We made it to my car (back parking lot, it quite far away) when one of the staff ran towards my car. He thought we had left the money by mistake and was trying to return it to us. This is the type of establishment you want to support.

Went there today for lunch at 12 o’clock order mulligatawny soup supposed to come with Nan bread took 20 minutes to get it and no bread he said Bread was part of the lunch special I figured 12 o’clock is lunchtime won’t be back will turn everybody I know against this place

Horrible food. Never had this kind of Indian food in my life... price is high food quality was terrible. We had ordered from their menu thinking it would be according to our taste bud, but it was a bad surprise and all food was sweet in taste and as if sugar was added. Spent so much money and fuel going all the at to Woodstock and got really disappointed. Would never go nor suggest to anyone.

I had the chicken lunch special here and it came with butter chicken and chole. The food was great and felt authentic. The place is well decorated and has a nice welcoming feel. The staff was also very friendly. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Such an underwhelming experience. The sweet lassi was yogurt mixed with water and sugar. When I brought notice to the quality of the lassi, I was told it’s this way coz it’s prepared fresh. Like what? What “fresh” lassi tastes watery? The samosa was filled with potato chunks mixed with peas. The dough seemed like it was made the night before and defrosted. The chicken jalfrezi was tasty but overtly oily. Only the dal fry was truly good and the rice was fresh and so was the garlic naan.
