Had a wonderful time the times I have been to Sixthirtynine. It has become my birthday treat to be taken here by my wife. Going to have to make a point to go in different seasons though as the food reflects what is fresh on the local farmer market. Gunn's Hill cheese being featured here is a brilliant move. Their home made breads are dreamy. The staff have always been friendly and fun when we have gone. Will be going as often as I can justify eating so well.

639 is a family favourite! Woodstock is very lucky to have such a high class restaurant that is passionate about food and drink and creating everything (even their own drink mixers) in house! I love that they are committed to supporting local farmers and businesses and building their menus around them and the seasons! Everything was superb, cocktails, appetizers, wine selections. The chefs daily amuse-bouche is always an exciting treat! The smoked duck breast with crispy skin was delicious! For a unique dining experience (but not right now due to covid) they also offer diner for 4 at the ‘chefs table’ in the kitchen! I highly recommend booking this experience! You get to watch the talented chefs and staff hard at work and converse with them and learn special cooking tips and tricks! It makes for a fun evening!

Fantastic experience, an absolute must visit on any trip to the region. Will definitely be back! The restaurant is laid out well. Not to crowded or cluttered. Visibility is good. Conversation is possible and the noise ambient noise isn't overbearing. Staff are all polite, cheery and overall pleasant. Very attentive and you'll always feel welcome. The food was spectacular. Very tasty. Perfectly seasoned. Temperature was great. Well portioned. Aesthetically pleasing, fairly priced and no frills or gimmicks. The chefs here work hard and should be commended. Sitting at the chefs table was a unique educational experience. The team was very responsive to inquiries and there's a lot I hope to take home to my own kitchen.

Food and service were fantastic as usual. The kitchen was very helpful in catering for a gluten allergy. The restaurant has very comprehensive COVID precautions throughout the indoor area and in the garden. We had the Arancini and trout mousse to start, which were good and got the appetite going. For the main we ordered steak and fish, both were cooked perfectly. Wine was good and generously poured. For desert we had the Pavlova and the Crème Brûlée. We didn't opt for the cheese course however I imagine that would have been pretty good. I highly recommend 639, and will be going there again to try their fall menu.

Well we recently made it back, and it’s even better than we remembered. My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant for her birthday. The food is absolutely outstanding.. You can tell the chef cooks with passion. I have been to many high end restaurants and this place just blows them out of the water.. You can tell when a chef cooks with passion vs a chef that cooks just because it's his job. This chef clearly loves what he does and it shows on every plate he creates. Very intimate setting. Staff is absolutely incredible. Our server happened to be the wife of the chef. Always had a smile, very informative and was willing to answer any questions we had. My wife and I will definitely be coming back here again and again. I hope the chef continues to be passionate about his work. It's very hard to find a chef that puts his heart and soul onto a plate.. Thanks again for the wonderful experience and incredible food.

My wife and I had a great lunch here. I had a pork belly app, an Omelette main and Creme brulee dessert. She had just the gnoochi main and several tastes of my choices. I had a craft beer draught and she has an "Organized Crime" Riesling. Every thing was very good. The service was helpful, attentive and cheerful.

Unbelievable food and great atmosphere. Menu changes with the seasons and always filled with locally sourced items. Everything is so good I cannot pick a favorite dish. The duck, the trout, the gnocchi, the steak, all incredible. The lunch sandwich specials are simply mouth watering. The fried Chicken sandwich or beer battered trout are worth the trip, and the house cut fries are seasoned to perfection. Sixthirtynine is the only place my wife will let me take her to dinner. Best in Woodstock.

So here are my thoughts. Drove from London to try sixthirtynine. I was not disappointed. Very refreshing. Someone in the kitchen clearly knows what they are doing. Food was seasoned beautifully. I often say too many Chefs hide behind salt, using it too liberally. The aged beef tartare was simply elegant, smoked duck was flavour after flavour. The pickerel was the star, a true testament to the skill in the kitchen. You simply could not have prepared it any better. If you have not experienced sixthirtynine, you need to. This restaurant just made me very happy. @whereisjeffeating

I called to book a reservation. I let the owner Eric know that the reservation was for people who were exempt from wearing a mask. he refused my reservation. When I told him it was against the law to discriminate against anyone with a disability he shrugged it off and hung up on me. The owner is cruel and will comment back ridiculing me and lying about his position in the matter. Bottom line this restaurant does not accommodate people with disabilities who are unable to wear a mask. I will never drop a penny at this restaurant again. Edit since owners response - Look at all your negative reviews. look at your comments towards those reviews. You get childish and angry and are never at fault right lol. You don't apologize to anyone you just act pompous and you laugh and then call up all your restaurant owner friends and staff to belittle the person complaining. Its pathetic. The intention of this review is to let the public know that you discriminate against people who cannot wear a mask because of a disability. Say it any way you want but you are discriminatory against those who cannot wear a mask and you don't deny it or apologize for it. At no point in your response do you say that you accommodate those who cannot wear a mask because of a disability. Funny to refuse paying customer in this climate, those types of bad management decisions will sink you. Good luck to you and your wife. My family and friends wont be spending a dime at your place.

Easily my favorite restaurant in Woodstock, chef Eric and his crew routinely offer up some of the best food in SWO. This is the only place I will order way outside my comfort zone and be thrilled with my choice everytime, go for the chefs table but have a drink and wait to order until you see each dish prepared before making your choice, you'll change your mind several times as you watch them assemble each gorgeous plate !

My wife and I went here for the first time and it was awesome! Almost everything that we had tasted unique and very good. Service was attentive and generous. Can’t remember the name of the cocktail that I had; it was very unusual; at first, I wasn’t sure about it but was loving it by the end. Using local ingredients is part of their vision, which I appreciate. Price with tax/tip about $180 for two, which was lower than I expected. This is the nicest restaurant that I’ve eaten in in Woodstock. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely perfect ! It's been a very long time since we had a meal that was delicious, and the experience perfect. Sixthirtynine provides a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere, service is personal and attentive. Dining room is quiet and excellent for special occasions. My wife had lamb, I had the steak, both prepared, garnished and presented beautifully. The price point is a little higher then most restaurants in Woodstock, however the quality of food and the whole experience are well worth the cost. Sample menu items between plates were an appreciated extra. If you decide on having dessert, I reccommend the Creme brulee, my favorite dessert and possibly the best I've had. I highly recommend you take time to enjoy a dining experience at Sixthirtynine. I know we will be returning customers. Thank you Phil and Nancy

We went with a larger group and had an opportunity to share and try a few things from their menu. Everything I tried was fantastic. I found the atmosphere to be very enjoyable; while this was definitely an upscale dining experience I never felt out of place or judged. The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating making us feel welcome and valued as customers. No need to go out of town for a great dining experience. Support an outstanding local business and have a great, relaxing meal at six thirty nine.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The restaurant isn't too big which is nice. Service staff were good, you didn't feel cramped at the table and the seats were comfortable. Prices for entrees range from $30 to $42 (at the time). I recommend this restaurant if you live in the Woodstock/Ingersoll area.

Really really small portions that are expensive. I ordered the quiche for lunch it was 4 inches round and a half inch thick it cost $16 it was probably made with one egg. SixThirtyNine recently hosted our winter wedding ceremony and reception. Jennifer and Eric were an absolute pleasure to work with from day one. They go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. We wanted to have our ceremony outside, so they shovelled off the patio and set up their heater to help keep our guests warm. They were able to order in specific wine and booze that we wanted which was an extra special touch. As always, the h'ors douvres and dinner were exceptional and they were able to accomodate our plant based guests. Their pastry chef made a delicious wedding cake and the late night poutine was a big hit. The whole team were extremely friendly and attentive; they knew what you wanted before you had to ask for it. We received so many compliments on the wedding, food, and service. We cannot recommend them enough for an intimate wedding or any other private celebration. Thank you Jennifer, Eric, and team.

Words won't do this place justice. Ambiance was lovely, service was exemplary and the food was delicious. Reminded of a European style of food and tempo. No pushy service. Wonderful almost felt as if we were the only two in the place. Would love them to open a spin off in Tillsonburg. Highly recommended by my wife and I. Well done Sixthirtynine.
