A chef with creativity is usually a good commodity. In this case it is a liability. Presentation was ok, service was above average. The food was terrible. Fish was burnt and dry. Served on mystery brown pasta. I ordered ribs which had only one side option of fries. I had to pay extra to substitute a tiny ceasar salad to go with my 5 ribs. The escargot was in a pile over top of some sort of wine sauce and only had a sprinkle of cheese. This place needs someone like Gordon Ramsey! The prices are way too high. Either up the portion sizes or cut the cost by at least 1/2. Will not be returning.

My husband, daughter and I went to Finkle Street Tap & Grill in mid June. The appetizers and main courses were delectable, service was wonderful and Jenny was so welcoming that we almost felt like we were dining in our own home. We have gone to Finkle Street several times previously and have always been attracted back because of the friendly atmosphere and terrific food. It is our new favourite restaurant that we will definitely be regular patrons.

Our favourite restaurant in Woodstock. We have been lucky enough to be hosted by Victoria the last 6 or 7 times we have been in, and she is just the best. Yes, the food is delicious, but honestly, the service is what makes or breaks a restaurant experience for me. Victoria is our favourite (even our two girls have their fingers crossed that we will get her again, every time we visit). We are moving out of town, but this will still be a monthly visit for us! Highly recommend.

We went to Finkle St. Grill to celebrate a friends birthday. I was excited to try and support an independent rather than the chains on Norwich Ave. I think we would have had a better experience on Norwich Ave. There was a bit of a fruit fly infestation when we went which was a little off putting as the fruit flies were getting into the drinks and food plus they are annoying. The service was friendly but a little slow. Some of our group asked to have the special set aside for them but after ordering appetizers we were informed the specials were sold out. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and they forgot to put the bacon on it. My girlfriend ordered the chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was pre-cooked packaged chicken. This was disappoint for a place with "grill" in the name as well for a $20 salad. One would expect a freshly grilled piece of chicken carved and placed nicely on top of the salad. The waitress was nice and apologized admiring they ran short of a lot of items and things were not to the usual standards. Overall the experience did not meet our expectations considering the menu prices. I am undivided if I would return based on my first experience at Finkle St. Grill.

Nice atmosphere and good food. There is no Wi-Fi or cell signal inside the restaurant so it encourages conversation and socializing. There are options on the menu for all types of diets. I enjoyed my experience there.

Well run establishment; very gracious staff; the hostess and the waitress were super welcoming. Covid-19 protocols well executed. Both the GF and I had the braised short ribs with mushroom risotto special at $32. The risotto was perfectly prepared and the short ribs were tender and flavourful. Most of entrees are around $35. My attitude is if you want a quality meal then this is a reasonable price. Will most definitely return next time I'm in Woodstock.

Time and time again this place delivers! My wife and I LOVE Finkle Street Tap & Grill. We were regulars before the pandemic and now recently we've been enjoying the take out! Last night we had a Prime Rib special (which compares the the Prime Rib offering at Elm Hurst) Awesome dish! We also had a pizza for take out. The thin crust, sauce, and toppings are just right. No grease and cooked just right. Easily the best restaurant in terms of consistency, and quality of food in the City of Woodstock. They deliver on our expectations every time!

Absolutely fantastic pizza! Tried 4 kinds in one sitting and every single one was delicious, including gluten free/lactose free. Great service with a fun pub style atmoshere. We had a large party in our own room which you could close the doors to.

Food is generally pretty good but they do go far too long between menu changes. Lots of pizza, if you like that sort of thing, and a good choice of other entrees. The weird thing is that some items are clearly homemade while others are straight out of a box (chicken fingers etc) Seems like a lot of potential and I have never had bad food here, but could be a bit more consistent with the homemade aspect of the food.

We have been to the finkle street tap & grill a few times now and each time we thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The staff is wonderful and the owner Jenny is always there to make sure everything is good. Last time we went I got the Lobster ravioli meal and it was absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

After the storm this evening we headed to Woodstock to this wonderful restaurant. Our hostess was so pleasant and thought of everything right down to the music. We were the only ones on the patio and the rain had stopped, quite charming. Hands down THE BEST spinach dip ever! All of us enjoyed our meals. The mushroom risotto was delicious and prime rib was done perfectly. Thank you for staying open for us! You all did a fabulous job and will recommend to anyone!

Jenny and her team went above and beyond to offer an amazing take out Christmas lunch to myself and my colleagues. Everything was carefully packaged to stay warm and intact for the drive back to the office. Each entree was delicious and we were all feeling we wanted more (despite our hunger being completely satisfied - the portions were perfect). Personally, the signature panini was incredible! Highly highly recommend visiting Finkle Street for their in dining experience… but their take out services are also like no other! Thank you to the kind and thoughtful staff, especially to Jenny - already planning our next visit!

Got burger with the patty in pieces and was burnt. All I could taste was burnt burger. Other member of party had burnt chicken also. Special was not available until 7pm. We had reservation at 530. The chairs felt like they were very well used, felt like I was going to fall through them only weigh 180 Overall for was not impressed after hearing how good it was from friends. Will not visit again.

The overall experience of the restaurant is amazing the atmosphere is warm and low light makes it a nice spot for a date night. For me personally the place is a once in a while place due to price but the quality makes it very much worth it for me. The only downside is there are some tables are rather high and made eating a little uncomfortable as I was eating about shy of chest high. If you get any other table though and you will enjoy the night for sure

We've been here a couple times now. Service is very good, and the food is always EXCELLENT, and for a very reasonable price. Not your average menu either! Good place to try new and out of the ordinary things. The cheesy risotto balls appetizer is a must-try.

We had our company Christmas party here on Saturday, December 16th and have no complaints! We were a group of roughly 30 people and were told ahead of time that we would likely have to wait for our tables. We were shown to a section of hightops and were able to have a few drinks while waiting. We were taken to the private back room after a short wait and our server Tara promptly took our drink orders. She gave great recommendations for menu items and was very personable. Our appetizers and entrees arrived in a timely manner and there were no mistakes which is impressive for such a large group. There were no complaints when it came to taste and quality of the food, everything was delicious! They had a great selection of desserts that were all super yummy and also came out quickly. The restaurant is also only open till 10 pm and our group was there past 11:30 pm and not once did we feel rushed or were asked to leave. Overall, it was a great experience and our staff will certainly be back again :)

We have been here 3 times, all 3 times we had the same great server. She took care of all our needs and wants. The food is amazing, I ordered different things every time and every order tasted they way you would want it to taste (Only better). My wife had her Christmas party here and same great service and food. The food is expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend eating here, you will not be disappointed.

Finkle Street is my favourite place to eat in Woodstock. Everything is great. The risutto balls and the chorizo meatballs are my favourite apps. The Afredo and Calabrese are my favourite pizzas. The best thing I have had there is the lamb shank. It was cooked to perfection and thinking about the taste makes my mouth water right now. Finkle Street is exactly what Woodstock had been needing for a long time!!

Good selection on the menu. The French Burger was really tasty and you could have any of their salads as a side. Good selection of craft beers, including the local Thames Valley. Very friendly service. We told here we weren't in a hurry and she gave us lots of time to chat. Will be back again.

The restaurant smelled amazing from the moment we stepped in. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered 2 of the daily specials. The food was good, plentiful and a great value. When we left, we noticed that a sign had been put up at the entry stating that the restaurant was closed early for a staff function. They had allowed us to stay an hour past closing, chatting and finishing our drinks without a word. We will definitely go back.

Went in at the first of Jan and ordered a pound of cajun spice chicken wings to eat there and a pound of lemon pepper wings to go and was told it wasn't possible to have two different kinds and that I'd have to order all the same??? What would have happened if someone else at the table had ordered a pound of a different kind? Would they be told sorry, you have to order all the same kind? Edit. Follow-up, we got it straightened out and now it's all good.

I have lived in Woodstock 6 years and regret that it took me that long to finally stop here! I first stopped for a burger (Doozie Burger) on my own and was so impressed, went back the following week with the better half to experience more of the menu. The Muscles are excellent and a good size portion to share. We shared a plate of wings as well, which were very tasty. They have a very good selection on tap (Creemore being my favorite!) and have a nice selection of specialty drinks. Will be going back again to experience their entrees next time!

The food here is quite delicious, the menu is diverse. The atmosphere is calm yet high class, so you can be dressed up or down. It is rather expensive to me for the portions, but very well made. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. The service was wonderful, and the kitchen did a wonderful job with plating.

From the start my server, Elle, was warm and friendly. When I misread the menu and ordered the lobster burger (completely zoning in on “lobster” and not the beef patty it was paired with) she kindly offered to ask the kitchen to make a veggie patty, which they did. Had a terrible experience tonight. First, our server was very new, which was not a problem for her, but a poor decision on management's part to have her on the floor without the knowledge she needs to succeed. Second, it took ten+ minutes to be acknowledged for refills on our beverages. Third, it too 50 minutes for our food to come out. All of this would be acceptable if a manager approached us to let us know that our needs were being accommodated and that the wait was unacceptable but nobody took ownership of being a supervisor until we had to complain, which is so uncomfortable for everyone involved. The so called 'manager' on shift was another waitress that rectified our situation by giving us a free round of drinks, which was ok but our drinks were fine. It was our 30$ meals that were not accounted for. We will not be back after this experience if feedback isn't provided as to why it ended this way.

This is Woodstocks best casual dining restaurant by far. Not because of the featured specials of the day like amazing prime rib on fridays! And not because of the new amazing bourbon cocktails they have like this new tequila/Bourbon drink you have to try! It's the STAFF. The owner is the one who's hard working, managing her staff and making sure your treated like family! They remember you! When asking the staff "Do you like working here?" "I LOVE IT!" That says it all! Plus the atmosphere is cozy, intimate with that amazing fire roasted pizza oven smell. This is the place to dress up or dress down. We need more restaurants that have these genuine characteristics and core values. Thats the foundation of good business. If so you will sell out just like the prime rib on fridays! Get there early! lol

Love love, LOVE this place! Always a warm and welcoming atmosphere for date night. Service is excellent and gracious, with the owner checking in with us to see if we’re satisfied. The menu is modest, but that is what makes it so good with many Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free options. Gourmet wood fired pizzas, and the portions are perfect, never leaving hungry, but never overstuffing you to the point of a belly ache. The price is reasonable, but I truly believe that you get what you pay for and Finkle Street Tap and Grill delivers on a memorable date night for my wife and I to bring us back again and again!

We went to Finkle St. Tap & Grill for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the skillet halloumi that was heavenly, the mushroom risotto with truffle and the short rib special. The restaurant also has an amazing wood-fired pizza oven that turned out the thinnest crust of delicious pizza. The restaurant also has a lovely bar with cocktail specials. I had the lavender and lemon Collins that was both delicious and refreshing!! The staff was friendly and polite and owner, Jenny Peace-Hall made us feel at home. Highly recommend going to this restaurant for all occasions including for corporate events! ????????????????

Found the Menu to be full of different ideas, and plenty of vegan options which is something that lacks in Woodsock so that's awesome! Ordered a "Wood Oven" pepperoni pizza which really wasn't anything special, Pepperoni's were from a bag and centre crust was rather soggy. Server didn't know the menu and commented it was her 2nd day. I'll probabaly go back in a few months once the kinks are worked out, but won't order Pizza probably again at that price. Update: Visited again, lowering rating and changing write up to "Should have gone to SixThirtyNine" (edit: reason for this was poor/slow service and just the overall feeling we were not their important customers)

Food was delicious, prices are a little higher than you would expect though. The atmosphere is great, and the smell of wood fired pizza fills the air! There is a lack of parking thoug, so be prepared to park on the street and walk. An overall great time though; recommend for sure.

I've been here twice and although I think the staff, service, and atmosphere of this restaurant is nice, some of the food is lackluster. I've had 2 of there pizzas and they were amazing, completely flavorful , but when it comes to the pasta dishes its "meh". I got the chicken parm, and for a steep 28$ i paid for it i would have expected more, the chicken had so much cartridge still on it, and the breading on it was burnt. There wasn't very much pasta to go with it either, i had 2 bites and it was gone. The sauce on the other hand was actually really, really good. The second i went, i got the butternut squash raviolis, the pasta like the other time was scare, there was more carrots and tomatoes then raviolis. The sauce also tasted really nice like the other one. On a side note, i dont think the raviolis were made fresh or in house which was a disappointment.

Delicious and friendly service at Finkle St. Tap & Grill. I order the Truffled Mushroom Burger. The patty is made with a chuck/brisket and my burger was topped with wild mushrooms, brie slices and white truffle aioli. I ordered burger with a side of fries with gravy. The gravy was very delicious as well; similar to that which you would dip a roast beef sandwich. I look forward to coming back here again.

My sister and I were staying in Woodstock for an event and happened to come across this restaurant. We're both celiac and the hostess was quick to point out the numerous options. We both ordered a starter ceasar salad and let me tell you, I could eat boatloads of it. The bacon was still warm and super crispy, the housemade dressing was amazing and the shavings of parmesan topped it perfectly. The pièce de résistance was the pizza. Oh my word the pizza. Normally it's hit or miss when gluten free pizza is involved, but this.... this was phenomenal. It's a thinner crust, but it wasn't gooey and also wasn't burnt to a crisp. The sauce was sweeter and absolutely droolworthy. The cheese to sauce ratio was spot on. I only wish that I lived closer to eat this all the time. I'm pretty sure it's ruined me for all other pizzas. Shoutout to our server Thera. She was so friendly and helpful, especially with ordering specialty food. Even though it was extremely busy, we didn't wait long at all for our food. If you're in the Woodstock area and need some gluten free options, make sure you go here!!!

I had to give them a 5-star review despite the fact that I did not dine here. I was waiting for a road test for over three hours in 40 degree weather with a mask on and needed to use the washroom. I ran up to the restaurant and the hostess was extremely nice and understanding and let me use the washroom. Wish I could've stayed to try something :) A+ service, keep up the good work!

Visited for the first of what will likely be many. There were lots of great options on the menu . Our waitress Charlene was wonderful !! She was so friendly and attentive. The price point is a tad high (not a dig at them just an FYI) but the food was good so we will definitely visit again .

We have been to this restaurant many many times. As a couple and with friends. We have always had great service and the food is fantastic! Billy and his wife Jenny are very welcoming and comfortable hosts. We have had the pizzas, lamb, beef tenderloin, salmon, ribs and much more and have never been disappointed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Our go to spot for a night out or lunch in Woodstock! A must try!!!

Pizza was 4 out of five stars just little to much oregano just little two much BBQ pizza 5 out of 5 I ordered cheese burger and fries cooked perfect 5 out of 5 juice but way to much salt in the buger spice I give the burger 1.5 out of 10 all and out I would definitely come back to eat . Now my daughter ordered one of the pizzas first it was gluten free and the staff explained that the sauce was not gluten free my daughter is ciliac gluten free diet so again 10 out of 10 service

In these crazy times, Jenny went above and beyond to make the event fun, elegant and safe for all. She was in constant contact with both myself and the local public health office leading up to the party to ensure compliance with covid specific rules and regulations. Jenny was friendly, flexible, and accommodating. The restaurant was set up according to public health's guidelines making those who attended the gathering feel safe. Date of visit: Saturday, May 25th, 2019 We stopped into Finkle Steet Tap and Grille in Woodstock after seeing good reviews on tripadvisor. The service was exceptional - our waitress (Thera) was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I am not going to lie - i was a little sticker shocked at the prices of some of the food items. Some of the items were over $20 each. They have a wood fired oven, so we were excited to try pizza. We ordered the Spicy hawaiian pizza and the Jenny Sala to share. The food was great. The pizza was full of flavour, lots of toppings, and perfectly cooked. I will need to give this place a second chance to try other food items on the menu - as there are many items that look like they would be really good.

We asked for no dijon on a sandwich and it came with dijon then when we sent it back, it came back still with dijon on it. seemed like they just tried to scrape it off. I love this place! We stopped in on a whim while we were driving by Woodstock. I did a quick google search for restaurants and found this place. They have a wood burning oven for their pizza, and it was delicious. I had a sandwich with fries, all of which was very good, and my husband got their pizza. Our waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. Will definitely be going back.

We took some business associates who were visiting from England here for dinner. We were seated promptly in a nice quiet area. The service started a little slow but it was very busy at the time we arrived and we were in no rush. The beer and bottle of white wine we ordered were great and the waitress did a good job telling us about the daily specials. We ordered the meatballs and the Breads and Spreads sharing plate as starters. Both of the starters were delicious. One of our guests and myself couldn't decided between two main dishes so the waitress suggested that we split them and we could try both. I found that to be incredibly accommodating and an excellent way for us to experience more of their menu, which I am glad we did because both the steak special of the day and the salmon dish was delicious!! I would DEFINITELY order the grilled fresh Atlantic salmon again on another visit! We finished off dinner with Irish coffees and although I did not personally order dessert I could tell from the "yums" coming from the others that dessert was delicious also. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will return for sure but just be aware that their kitchen closes at 9 so no late night snacks on a Friday or Saturday night! Great work!

Nice stylish grill and bar, was there for a catered Christmas party. The pizza, especially the meat lovers was excellent. The main courses dishes like chicken and lamb and steak would probably be filling on a normal basis but since we had to wait until like 8:30 to eat, it wasn't enough. It might have been altered for the catered company party, but the brownie dessert was missing the icecream and instead had one dollop of whipped cream. I would have been okay with this but the size of the brownie was ridiculously small. Overall I'd eat there again, but it is a bit pricey for portion size. I work in a restaurant so I'm familiar with portion size and pricing.

The food is taste, but, when told the prime rib is huge. At 39 dollars it was super thin. No buns/bread offered or salad. Vegetables were sparse and loads of mashed potatoes. When they say specials they offer no price unless ask specifically. Not sure if returning. I fine dine most of the time and a bit disappointed.

Went in tonight for a family Fathers Day meal. Excellent service, selection and awesome food. Love the inclusion of local food and local beer choices on the menu. Staff were very friendly, and considering how busy it was, our food was served quickly and piping hot (had to wait a bit for the pizza and chicken to cool). Drinks were cold. Food was hot. Had a wonderful experience here! Given the COVID restrictions, I was so happy we had chosen this venue for a family get together. The food was excellent. Truly impressed with this restaurant! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. I ordered Billy's Hawaiian Punch and was offered a piece of the lamb shank by someone at my table. "Looked good from afar, was far from good" We went in for dinner and were enticed by the warm atmosphere and inviting aromas coming from the in house pizza oven. Service was solid, the waitress did a lovely job of sharing the specials with our table but we went for the pizza and wings. At $21 dollars for a Canadian and $23 for a meat lovers and $30 for 2 lbs of wings. The pizza was burnt around the edges of the thin crust but it made it's way to our table and past the watchful eye of our server and pizza oven boy none the less. The pizzas looked nothing like the pictures on this site as they were very sparing with the toppings and again burnt (disintegrated when touched). You would think that with the pizza being a specialty here, they wouldn't serve such poor quality product, we left the burnt pieces on a saucer for the waitress to ask about but she didn't get to that, as she was busy getring the place ready for closing (it was about 8:30pm when our dinner was brought to the table and the restaurant was empty with a closing time of 9pm). The wings were average breaded junk, similar to that of the famous Pizza Pizza (Only difference was that this restaurant charges $15 for 7 wings/ 1 pound (offers some better choices in sauces). So 2lbs of average wings and 2 thin burnt crust pizzas with what was supposed to be 3 and 4 toppings on each for the low low price of $87.00 + (tip)

The atmosphere in this place is excellent, the owners are wonderful but I find the staff very bland and the food is too. I have gone more than once hoping that the first time was just a bad experience but every-time i go, it never gets better. Edited to include: Chicken Caesar wrap tasted awful. I ordered this because i figured it was a hard dish to mess up. Sorry I don't remember the exact dates I went. I also wanted to include that the last time we went we almost walked out after being seated due to having to wait 45 minutes for the waitress to take drink orders. when she finally arrived she didn't even apologize to us for the wait. I don't mind waiting if you are busy for my food but to be ignored by a waitress for drink orders was a bit much. I do try my best to cut restaurants slack as i've worked in them but that was the last time we returned. Thank you for responding to me.

Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. Decent selection of beer, wine and cider and they always have a few main plate features each day. When we visited our table ordered the calamari as a starter which was amazing in terms of it being well cooked and a very tasty mix of fried peppers and onion in with the dish. After that our dinner experience was not quite as notable. We ordered three wood fired pizza's which were extremely slow to come out. When they did eventually come all three were fairly greasy and the crusts just barely cooked with a few toppings looking almost uncooked. At the time of our visit the restaurant was at maybe 30-40% capacity. Our server was great and explained that she had requested the kitchen put our pizza's back in for a bit more cook time before she brought them out. The menu at Finkle has lots of great delicious ideas for starters, sandwiches and mains, many of which I have tried. Unfortunately in my experience the execution in the cooking does not always live up to the price point of the items.

“Wild” mushroom pizza is brown buttons with maybe a couple odd mushrooms on it. Tried it for the second time hoping it might be better. I was wrong.

I have been here 2 times in the past few weeks. The atmosphere is nice and the service is not to bad but the presentation of the food is horrendous. They just slap it on a plate and serve it. Not sure if they have real red seal chefs or not but you don't serve a steak on top of mashed potatoes and soggy vegetables. For drinks it's nice but don't think I will be back for dinner.

My wife and I went here on a whim, for an impromptu Date Night. We'd already eaten dinner at home, so we ordered only a dessert. But what a dessert! The cheesecake was delicious. It wasn't as good as my wife's cheesecake, but for a restaurant version, it was superb. We enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the prompt, courteous, and unobtrusive staff, too. **UPDATE** More than a year later, and I still remember that dessert!!

We ate here on a recommendation from a local and we're glad we did. The decor is cool, and the smell from the wood oven was great. The waitress was very friendly and explained the daily specials before ordering. We had the Alfredo pizza and wings. The pizza was excellent and had plenty of toppings but the wings were average. Everything on the menu sounded good. They had a decent selection of draught beers on tap and not too expensive. The cocktails and wine were pretty pricey though. We would definitely go back again.

Took 15 minutes to get our drinks, appetizer came fast but the spinach dip was salty and we sent it back. Main course took an hour to get to us with a nearly cold steak. Food was not worth the 99$ bill for two of us with only 1 drink. Sad date night for us. Can't recommend.

My husband & I made a last minute reservation on Father's day as we were looking for a nice patio to sit on as we were driving thru on our way to Toronto. My sandwich was slightly undercooked but Hannah our waitresses handled the situation perfectly & immediately put a rush order in for a new sandwich. The staff made our experience very pleasant, went for a birthday. The food was good. Apparently we should have ordered the pizza or so I’m told. Maybe next time. I got the chicken and Mac&cheese. It was good but for what you pay you would kind of expect either bells and whistles or enough that you can take some home. At the end of the day I would go back. Wouldn’t recommend the deep fried cheese cake though, in fact it may just be me but the texture of it made me nauseous.

When we walked inside, my heart sank. We had wanted to share a treat with a friend. The interior is part family restaurant, part sports bar, so I wondered whether all the good reviews had been true. Well, we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing! We enjoyed tender, flavourful lamb shanks and beef ribs. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and treated delicately. The mashed potatoes were whispy, garlicky and delicious. And the kiddos enjoyed pizza with thick, homemade crust and real, natural ingredients. The prices, while not inexpensive, were fair for the quality. Even the service was friendly and responsive. All the staff were warm and helpful. I wanted to give this place 4 1/2 stars, but I can't seem to make it work. The downsides were the noise and the sports bar decor. But food, service and overall experience were top notch. Will come again when we're in town.

First and foremost the food here is really good. It is obvious they take the time to prepare fresh and flavorful food. I can't say that the service is the best I have received. My waitress was friendly and nice but very rarely visited our table, we had ordered appetizers and my fork was taken when they were cleared, when my main course arrived the runner dropped them off and left before I could say I needed another fork, I ended up having to find my own at the server station. Normally I wouldn't point this out except that it wasn't an overly busy Monday and I found it odd that I couldn't locate a server on the floor. I had the wrapped boccocini as an appetizer; well made well presented and flavorful, my main course was the fried chicken with the Mac and cheese. The chicken was consisted of two panco crusted breasts that were deep-fried, the seasoning was excellent and they were cooked perfectly, the coating was nice and crunchy. I was disappointed with the "Mac and cheese" essentially 5 ounces of penne noodles with cheese sauce. The "Sriracha honey" dipping sauce was just that, Sriracha and honey served in a little plastic cup. It was a decent dish. My spouse had the mussels to start, nice portion, very flavorful, she had the short ribs, roughly a six ounce portion of ribs served with mashed potatoes that you could see had clearly been in a steam table for quite some time but they did have good flavor as did the sauce and the ribs. I had a draft beer and my spouse had a sangria. Total bill $136 before tip. I enjoyed my meal but with it costing essentially $70 per person for a drink, an app and a main I have too many other choices in that price range at restaurants that pay a little more attention to both detail and to service. I would say this place is worth a visit, but I can't recommend it as a place to visit regularly.

Absolutely AWESOME. We we're just passing through and a local suggested this place and I see why! Food was awesome (we got the wood fire pizza (omg) and their signature paninno) with a couple cocktails. Quality is excellent and portions are great. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside, even with all the covid protective gear. Our server (Erin I think) was super friendly and attentive. The owner Jenny chatted with us and is a truly delightful host. You can tell the staff truly care for their guests. Overall fabulous experience. I've never been to Woodstock before, but I know where I'll be going next time I'm heading through. Definitely check this place out! Thanks for a great time!

I've heard rumors that the owner is a creepy predator / hothead who flies off the handle way too much. Then I come on here to see the reviews and there's pictures of threatening text messages the owner is sending to women right on the front page of here. Not the kind of reputation you want to be making for yourself especially after all that stuff that just happened at east side marios here in town not too long ago... Yikes... My honest assessment of the food? For what they have, it's okay I guess, I've been in 3 or 4 times since theyve opened and every time I try to order lamb or ribs they never seem to have it. What they do have is slightly overpriced but they know they can get away with it because there are no other decent restaurants in Woodstock. Won't be ever going back now that I see the owner is such a creep though. Beware of this place.

We loved it! Staff was friendly, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and it was very clean. Their menu has a nice mix of choices. We had the braised short ribs and they were delicious. Kid friendly restaurant with high chairs and booster seats. Kids choices are pasta, chicken fingers, grilled cheese or pizza. You can watch them make the pizza and it looks like they have a wood burning oven. We will definitely go back and definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were passing through and decided to try this place because the photos and ratings were decent. We don’t mind spending more $$ if the food is impressive, but it was far from and we left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The pizza was so skimpy, if your going to charge $20 or more, there should be more generous amount of toppings. Not enough tomato sauce either, it tasted dry. The wings were delicious but way over priced. This visit was so disappointing, wish we could get our money back.

Enjoyed lunch today on the NEW outdoor patio! The pickerel salad was second to none! It was the most unique and original salad that I have experienced, with varying compliments of flavours to satisfy the tastebuds. Our server was wonderful and so personable. This is a super pleasant place to eat. The people are genuinely happy to see you, serve you and make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Food is excellent and fresh - little interesting twists on "normal" menu items. You can tell people enjoy working there and it shows in everything they do. Their pizza oven actually burns real wood instead of gas and the smell in the restaurant is warming because of it. If you live in the area, drop by. If you don't, swing off the 401 on your way home as we did.

This was our second visit to Finkle Street and it was just as great as the first! The owner, Billy, made us feel welcome the minute we walked up to the bar. Our server, Thera, was awesome! She had a great, upbeat manner about her and never made you feel like you were asking too many questions or bothering her for anything you wanted. Every now and then I like to treat myself to a glass of wine and a great meal. If you’re going to eat solo you need to choose just the right spot. And tonight was no exception and no disappointment. The warm and friendly atmosphere at Finkel Street Tap and Grill never disappoints. Jen the owner is always there to greet with a warm and friendly smile and conversation. My favourite appetizer, risotto balls, is always a must and tonight’s entrée was Crusted skin grilled salmon atop pasta with a rosewater cream sauce. It was to die for!!! Thanks Jen! I love this place. Don't let the fact that it's on Simcoe Street confuse you, Finkle is right around the corner. My wife and I stumbled on it last year when we stayed in Woodstock, and for our second visit this year we made a point to come back. The place was filled for a Friday night, yet we were seated promptly... at the same table we had last time, no less. An excellent selection of beer, draft and bottled, and the food was in no small way bar food. My beef au jus was just incredible, and the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. Get the bruschetta!

Always have had great meals at FSTG...very friendly, accommodating wait staff...great wine...they have a new Cabernet/Merlot that my wife loved...I told our server that the steak burger I had rates up there as the BEST and I estimate that I've devoured over 10,000 burgers in my day...it's delicious. My wife usually gets a soup and a wrap and they've always been delicious as well. Very comfortable, welcoming decor and always friendly, attentive service! Back to the burger...it's ground steak on a grilled, soft bun...you don't need condiments...maybe a slice of tomato, but that would be enough...the flavour is glorious and it makes your mouth water...mmmm...good!! The fries are great too! I've also had the pepperoni pizza from the wood-fired oven, and it was very tasty as well. Definitely check this place out!! You won't be disappointed!

Great service and food experience! Servers were quick and attentive. The Cubano and Prime Rib sandwiches were excellent. They didn't have blue cheese dressing for my salad but the server did offer me a blue cheese cream they use for another dish that was pretty much the same consistency although not as strong. Still good enough for my salad. That's good service! Definitely will be back next time I come through the area.
