REVIEWS OF Clementine IN Winnipeg

Steven Evans

I’m from Kelowna BC and my partner and I make a trip to Winnipeg each summer and every time I am most excited about going to Clementines. I can’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant. The food is absolutely superb.

Chase Markevich

Lovely place for breakfast. The interior is very cute - great place for a breakfast date. Food is very well priced and the portions were prefect for me. The service is quick but not personal which I prefer. I really recommend coming here.

Took my kids here (ages 15 and 10) for brunch. The 15 year old is pretty finicky but both had the waffles, which Clementine accommodated by serving the toppings on the side and the kids were blown away! They ended up eating all of the toppings anyways. I had the Bacon Eggs Benedict which was out of this world. Lots of families here with their kids and it was a great first brunch out post lockdown. Also the best Mocha latte I’ve had! We’ll be back.

Cathy Bogaart

Hands down one of my new go-to brunch place whenever I'm out in Winnipeg. Very fun and hip atmosphere. At the same time it's not too chaotic so I'm still able to get work done in my laptop while sipping their amazing coffee. I highly recommend this place. Although parking was a bit tricky, although I'm from out of town so that's probably why.

I give it a 5-star review because I am picky, really! Based on my only experience there, so far, I can say: (1) Waiting time, a tad too much but it is not the fault of the restaurant but still needs to be considered (Sat 11 am) (2) Interior: rather tight and small so expect more noise than usual and lots of involuntary eye contact (3) Let's talk coffee, shall we? I got myself a cappuccino. The cup and saucer were not too shabby but just right (a more colorful one, would have even be better). The latte art was usual but well done and a nice touch. The flavor was exquisite and memorable (that is really all that matters to me). The lady who served us also knew which beans they used lol and if you think it is the case every where else, think again or better: try and ask! So to sum it up, their cappuccino was at least at par with my other favorite coffee shop's cup of cappuccino in town. (4) The side dish we got: Beet Tabbouleh, Bulghur, Pomegranate, Macadamia Cream, Herbs, Pistachios. It was an amazing tasteful starter. I can remember all the ingredients listed except the pistachio which is not a big deal at all. The pomegranate juice had infused into the bulghur and gave it a nice color and flavor. Summary: Go for it ;) (5) My main dish was: Squash Shakshouka || Vadouvan Curry, Piquillo Pepper, Pickled Carrots, Poached Egg, Raita, Sourdough. The bread slices (x2) were extremely fresh and tasty (was rubbed with some olive oil or so) The plate was a discovery journey. Going clockwise, I felt like visiting 5-7 different countries :) All the texture and flavors were harmonious, distinct, and well balanced. Even the few microgreens on top was not meant as only eye pleaser but the gate into a whole new continent. It was not too sweet given the ingredient, not sour at all, and not too mushy. It was #JustRight for me. [we also ordered the Tirkich Eggs of which I tasted the humus. It was not only delicious but very silky and not grainy at all. Two thumbs up!] Verdict: The best dish I have had so far in my recent visits to the city. || Misc --> Portion sizes were just right for me. I did not feel too full and did not left the table hungry desiring more. Staff: Courteous and helpful. I ask a few questions including their recommendation and I got a real recommendation not like the one you get in other places. Kitchen: You could see the kitchen and it was not an eye-soar though. I don't have special feeling about it. Chairs/Tables: I would have loved a shorter table or a higher chair so I did not have to put my elbows on the table too often. Water: we got a carafe and glasses immediately with the silverware which was very good. Table cloth: nope, none. Napkins were provided though. Pastry & Dessert: not on the menu. Here you have it ;) Hope you also have a very pleasant experience if you visit them as we did. Thanks!

Food is absolutely amazing! I had the fried chicken; it was huge!! Great breakfast/brunch spot! Only complaint was our server. She literally was an order taker. Never did a quality check- Nevermind another round of drinks! We are going to give this place another shot! Hope the service is as great as the food next time!

Stephen Colella

Passing through Winnipeg and this spot was close to the hotel. Absolutely wonderful breakfast. Simple and delicious.

Gabriela Logan

Very busy but service was still quick. Get the fried potatoes they’re so good. Separate sides make it kind expensive but overall it’s worth it.

sarah Nicole

The food is delicious. I had the Arctic char and it was perfect and matcha latte and they were perfect. I gave it 4 stars because I was still hungry at the end of my meal. If the portion was a little bigger, it wouldve been perfect. The price was fair for the portion Size.

Oindrila Paul

Great food and atmosphere

Christen Yee

Great flavour combination in all their dishes. The menu is small but unique and delicious. They are open late for brunch so it is great for late risers. Highly recommend their pork belly eggs benny! Only little struggle is parking around the area.

Helena Zychowski

The food is always amazing here. Such exceptional flavors in anything you get. I ordered for pick up and it did take 20 mins longer then it said but it was worth the wait!

Aleksei Ampilogov

I had a great breakfast here. I previously tried coming on a Saturday morning but there was a really long wait since the place was packed. We came on a Friday morning instead at around 8am and there was plenty of room in the place. I can see why there's such long lineups here on the weekends, the food is excellent and not too expensive!

Chao Cai

Ordered our Mothers Day brunch today, everything was delicious, hot and well packaged. Always great food.

Marina Havard (Marishinka)

Cool . Absolutely delicious. Wonderful coffee and food. One of best breakfast in Canada

Haley White

We have been twice. Both times the staff have been professional and personable. The food is top notch, good portions and excellent value for the quality. The menu is well balanced and every item sounds good. Winnipeg is lucky to have this place

Ade

Amazing food, great cocktails and everything is expertly made. We had the fried chicken on toast, fried potatoesand turkish eggs. 10/10

Fred Coad

Incredibly disappointed that their sister restaurant, Segovia, has closed its doors recently but so very glad that Clementine is still around. Please be patient as this place is very busy and popular for a very very good reason. Some of the most delicious food I have ever had anywhere. Their unusual twist on the classic eggs benedict is an absolute must have!

K M

I had been here a few times for brunch. The food was tasty but it could use a bigger portion at a cheaper price. As much as I liked the food, I did find their coffee extremely acidic.

JOHANNA A.

Definitely the best breakfast experience in the city. Such a charming atmosphere and the BEST food you will eat. Unique dishes with amazing flavour. Will for sure be visiting again.

Mary Meng

Great hole-in-the-wall cafe/coffee shop! Excellent service and very fast food prep. We were treated with the utmost care despite it being completely full with customers.

Mort Adler

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! We ate here on a busy Saturday morning. Everyone from the host to the serving staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly bright for a space that is below ground. Cocktails were unique and tasty! The food was absolutely delicious - I wouldn't expect anything less from the sister restaurant of Segovia. I had such a great experience here, I'll definitely be back! :)

Matei Dragne

Not the typical brunch menu but every dish done very well with quality ingredients. Will visit again if ever in Winnipeg.

Margaux Miller

The menu items either seemed to small, or too big, for my preference in the morning. The toppings on the waffle were the best I've ever eaten.

Vicki H

Essentials: great food, amazing ambience, and stellar service. Below will be a somewhat comprehensive review. I have only visited Clementine twice, and I can confidently say this is the best breakfast restaurant in Winnipeg. The menu is balanced well, ranging from light breakfast such as porridge, all the way to heavier dishes, like the fried chicken on toast. Plenty of drinks as well, both hot, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic to choose from. The portions are plentiful, with a handful of sides to order from can supplement the table if you're with a group. I ordered the fried chicken on toast, tamarind lemongrass soda, and the yogurt panna cotta with an interesting granita on top that will be discussed further down. The fried chicken on toast reminded me of Nashville hot chicken. The chicken has pickled zucchini sitting on top, while the fried chicken sits on top of a bed of lettuce, followed by toast and spicy mayo spread. Great crust, juicy chicken, and appropriately sized proportion. Clementine has done their own spin on (or was inspired by) Nashville hot chicken, replacing the usual crinkle cut pickles with pickled zucchini, adding (I think) a spicy mayo, and thinly cut lettuce. Instead of drenching the chicken in a hot lard sauce, it's drizzled with it. Fantastic dish! Washing this down with a tamarind lemongrass soda caps it all off. I had only one problem, the bread + mayo combo was not it. First thing that came to mind was that it tasted like paint, but subsided after a bit. I can't really speak on the tamarind lemongrass soda. I didn't have enough of it to remember it. I should've ordered a gallon. Next was dessert. I settled for a yogurt panna cotta with green granita, hemp hearts, and cara cara oranges. On the first bite, I was blasted with a familiar flavour from the granita, but one that I could not immediately think of. Very interesting flavour, and definitely a great finisher to a brunch/breakfast. The panna cotta was great, just as I expected. I remember it being smooth and complimented by hemp hearts and oranges. Clementine has really set the bar for breakfast food here in Winnipeg, and quite possibly for any breakfast restaurant for me. A combination of eclectic food, inviting ambience, nice glasses/cutlery, and efficient service is all I need to highly recommend to anyone I talk to about food. A must visit restaurant to anyone that visits Winnipeg!

Wai Chan

A very modern breakfast place with a warm and welcomimg atmosphere. Walking distance from most hotels in downtown Winnipeg this should be one stop you make while visiting!

Mackenzie Plowman

Fast takeout time and delicious brunch food.

Michel Pierre

Had a wonderful time here. Really enjoyed the food and prices were fair for what was ordered. Friendly staff.

gn02097230

Excellent food. Presentation is up there with the best the city has to offer. A well hidden gem in the Exchange District. Decore looks like start up tech company. Not exactly a place to be if your're hungry, more of a socialize spot with some food.

J. R.

Simply the best. To have this caliber of food for breakfast is an absolute early morning delight. The tables have truly flipped on dinner being the more creative and flavorful meal of the day. With each bite, I was set deeper into melancholy knowing just how far away my home is from Clementine and all its incredible flavors and creations. Priced extremely well, amazing decor, comfortable environment, friendly staff -- it goes on and on. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said. But support this amazing restaurant so they can keep on making amazing food. ????

WPG Steven

This place is absolutely amazing! We love our brunch and this is definitely one of the best places we've been to. The staff is friendly, service is great, atmosphere is comfortable and stylish, and the food is fantastic. The plates are different than your typical "eggs and bacon" and so good because of that. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Thank you Clementine for setting the bar high!

Randi Mast

After years of waiting i finally recently was able to eat at Clementine. We tried the waffles, the fried chicken on toast, the eggs benedict, the seared tuna, the bacon and the corn dish as well as a few cocktails and coffee beverages. They were all very delicious and well prepared. My only complaint would be that the staff weren't very friendly. They paid no attention to us other that to ask what food we wanted. it was fairly slow there, less than half the tables had seatings. But still there was no friendly chit chat asking how our day was going, no checking in on us and how our food was or if we wanted refills on our drinks. So, while the food was amazing, the atmosphere leaves something to be desired as we left feeling unwanted as customers.

Nathan Correa

Best place in town. Great food from quality ingredients and friendly prices.

Robert Tetlock

I really enjoyed the braised bacon Benedict I would totally go bac. Be prepared to wait for a table as it is a small restaurant

Kris “Night Red” Arnott

The best Eggs Benny I've had in Winnipeg so far. Great service, spacious, cozy. I was able to get a parking spot right out front. Busy/hipster vibes. Overall great place for breakfast. The bacon on the eggs benny was also phenomenal, cured in house.

My favorite brunch place in the Peg. Different brunch vibe than I’m used to out on the west coast. But very nice. I had the fried chicken on toast. It was very filling and delicious. We shared the potato’s side, and it looks like a must as everyone was doing it. Will definitely be back. We came a little later so only had to wait about 5-10 minutes to get a table but I can imagine there can be a wait at peak times.

Evelyn Duong

Food was so good! I wanted to inhale everything but I also wanted to eat slow because I wanted the meal to last longer. Service was A+! Highly recommended the Arctic Char and the Bacon Benedict. Definitely coming back again!

Cute location. Plants everywhere and quaint style. Drinks and food were wonderful. Small portions but high quality. Service was slow and expect a wait to get in on weekends. No reservations required.

Terry Dyck

This place is so good that it's disturbing. If I'm ever back in Winnipeg, I'll remember and want to go back. The menu is excellent.. surprisingly healthy & diverse--but the maple-dusted Canadian "bacon" shines through as an unforgettable culinary phenomenon -- I had to order seconds!

Jonathan Klippenstein-Epp

Definitely get the Turkish eggs. The humus is so smooth and there is so much flavour going on here!

Tyson Doknjas

Very cozy, reasonably priced lunches with a great variety to choose from. The fried chicken was delicious!

Visited Clementine for brunch today for the first time. I had high expectations because of so many rave reviews. We arrived at 11:30 am. The restaurant was packed. We took the last table available. Upon reviewing the menu I was underwhelmed because there was not much to choose from BUT let me just say this menu, although on the modest side is anything but modest in flavour and quality. As I watched the dishes around us be served I understood why the menu didn’t need much else. Everything is so incredibly unique and delicious. From the presentation to the taste. I have not one bad thing to say. I can’t wait to return and try some of the other dishes. I ordered the Turkish Eggs and my husband ordered the burger. We also had a side of fried corn and shared a cherry cream soda ( which was delicious). Our food came fairly quickly considering the restaurant was full at that time. The food was hot, plated well and the flavours were awesome. I did not try the burger but i highly recommend the Turkish eggs and fried corn. The Turkish Eggs have such a perfect combination of texture and complex flavour. I thought it was a brilliant spin on the classic breakfast dishes we are used to being served in most restaurants. Fried corn was also splendid. Great environment, service and food !

Enjoyed a nice weekend brunch in Clementine Cafe in this nice spring weather. The dishes there are super! I ordered a burger in dip, though never thought a burger could be presented -- would the buns be soggy? would it still taste good? Let me tell you that, after I finished my burger, I just regretted I didn't order some extra toast to use up all the source -- it's just licking-finger good. Fried cauliflower salad is my wife's favorite, hm, and mine too. On top of the wonderful food, the prices can't be more reasonable -- as I remember, the most costly dish is in mid teen, while many are at a single digit, like the homemade black sausage for my side dish (and it's delicious). They don't have an extensive menu -- one page covers all. But they change the menu quite frequently. I came with a friend two years ago and now I couldn't recognize any item on the current menu. BTW, two years ago, they ranked #3 on Tripadvisor among all restaurants in Winnipeg, and now they are #2 as I just checked. Way to go, Clementine!

Gabriel Mandamin

I could not say enough great things about Clementine. We came back multiple times during our stay in Winnipeg and everything we tried was amazing.

Winter Dew

Really enjoyed the duck chilaquiles, the fried potatoes and the braised bacon benedict. Great breakfast or brunch spot in the exchange. Coffee is good too!

Don

Different! Unique! Young! Tasty! Charming details in the interior and the plates! À breakfast you never had before! Succulent!

Kristen Anderson

Cozy Bohemian style dining experience. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Bacon Benedictine Eggs were an out of this world treat to the taste buds and tummy. A side of BBQ baby potatoes made a perfect complement. They were slightly spicy but not overpowering. Came drizzled with a cream sauce. The meal with coffee was about $23. Decent price for the quality. Servers and hosts were very friendly and attentive. Everyone loved their meals in our group of 8. Not a single word of complaint all you could hear was eating yumming. Only downside of the experience was the 45-minute wait. But after a delectable experience such as this the wait paled in comparison to the meal.

Lydia Calhoun

Expensive, small fancy servings. I had the waffle with side $6 bacon and it was so delicious. Good music too.

Denisse Roque

Excellent atmosphere for a relaxing brunch. The service was prompt and friendly. I had a black rice and oat poridge with blackberry compote and pineapple that was very good, it had a combination of flavor and texture that was very satisfying.

Lisa Shane

Delicious food and drink, great atmosphere. Bets breakfast/brimcht spot in the city

Adam Morrison

A brunch visit with brother and SiL. A popular spot. We had reservations, but still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The food was excellent. Good coffee. Attentive service, even in the busy-ness. This was a second visit to this location and would go again. Highly recommend.

Zachary July

Clem's is fantastic. Consistently great food, atmosphere and service. I've never had a bad experience and been going for years now. The braised bennie and yogurt Panna cotta are delicious.

Buddcar Cook

I’ve never had a bad bite here. The Turkish eggs are amazing, all the food is portioned well, flavoured to perfection and tastes like comfort warmth and even health id say. The only downside is that is isn’t open all day. And the wait times can be slightly long but trust me when I say it’s well worth it.

This place is fantastic. I was suggested to eat here as I was from out of town and I loved it. I had the Benedict and it was superb. Very fair prices as well. And friendly staff. Great experience!

Gurjit Bhangoo

Incredible brunch spot. Extremely flavourful and super cute ambiance.

Visiting Winnipeg for Christmas saw this place had great reviews. Came in for brunch, the food was amazing, very delicious and the staff were very patient and friendly even with the place fully packed with a long queue. Definitely recommend this place for brunch!!

Katherine Raymond

This is the best breakfast is Winnipeg, and has the line yo to prove it. There is always a wait here, even on weekdays but the food is so worth it. The menu changes frequently enough but there are some staples that stay. Even the revolving options are so delicious. Staff here are genuine , knowledgable, and super friendly. Fast service too. Will be back for sure. Many times. Too many probably.

J. B

We stopped here with a friend and it was packed but got seats in less than 10 mins. Food was fresh and delicious. I had the porridge and it was amazing. Others had the waffles with starwberry and rhubarb and it was light and delicious. Would highly recommend trying this place out! Would love it if they would source free range eggs - we would have tried one of their poached egg dishes! Dishes avg bet $9-15

Ally Ayoob

Fresh new take on breakfast/ brunch. You won't be disappointed. Delicious!

Em McMahon

Great atmosphere with super sweet people. Our food came in quick and it was so so so good. I ordered the Fried Chicken on toast, the chicken was crispy and soft inside with the amazing sauce on the toaste and pickles. Nice combination of flavors. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict and it was great too! The famous maple braised bacon was thiiiiccck and super yummy. We will def recommend this place to our friends.

I K (Kira)

Had the arctic char - portion was quite small for the price but would still give a 5 star because the flavours were all there. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and the salmon and dilled cucumbers combined made it so tasty. Would definitely go back.

James Kleiner

Food here is always tasty, however they have smaller portion sizes. It would be advisable to order a side dish along with your main.

Jennifer Chow

I had an excellent breakfast at Clementines! Turkish eggs and harissa potatoes... the staff were prompt and courteous and the food was amazing! I’ll be back next time I’m in Winnipeg!

Wonderful, fresh, and very delicious! Can't wait to try it again because there are too many good options. Come early because it can get busy (for good reason!)

CJ Braun

If you are feeling like a cute brunch date spot this is a great place to go. Menu is very simple a fb straight forward you choose your main and the buy a side. The quality is there but for the amount you pay and what you get may want to be considered but if you are more about a quality and ambiance this is a good spot if you are looking for big portion size consider exploring other options.

Dan Zaruk

Nice place. Good service. Tasty food.

Bob Davies

Everything about this place is great, but I find the coffee too bitter. I normally drink it black, but i added milk and sugar and it was fine.

Devin Hasanally

Amazing food, very reasonably priced. However both their coffee and cappuccinos could have been better

Jordan Becker

Location good, food good, clean and less noisy environment but not wheel chair accessible

Brock Lumsden

Service and food were both amazing. I would definitely recommend everything that I've tried on the menu!

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Every item we ordered represented a perfect marriage of creativity, balance, and flavour. The service was efficient and friendly. Loved our mochas and would highly recommend adding a side (simply for more taste options). Can't imagine a better breakfast. Yum!

The food here is mindblowingly good. Best eggs benedict I've ever had, and the fried chicken was sublime. The burger is also aces. Really nice balance of flavours. And delightful coffee too!

FT K (Șegun McShegz)

it took us two and a half years before we could get in, but it was well worth the wait. possibly the best breakfast we've ever had? and the service was impeccable. thank you, clementine!

James Neglia

Absolutely delicious and amazing value. 10/10 would recommend the bene, brusselsprouts, Thai salad. Parking patrol is always around, so please don't let a ticket ruin a beautiful morning!

Suzanne Davies

One of the best restaurants in the city. They have a variety of unique twists on breakfast/lunch foods. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is fantastic. Service is always friendly and courteous. The burger dip was one of my favourite meals in Winnipeg. They have local beers and are reasonably priced for the portions and quality. Highly recommended.

Tourism Winnipeg

Excellent food. Simple but perfectly done dishes. First class coffee ( it is surprisingly hard to find a really good cup of coffee these days!). Good service. Very pleasant atmosphere. Only problem: can be busy and they don’t take reservations, so you may have to do an unplanned stroll through the Exchange district - not a big deal, anyway.

Michael Peters

Love this place! Amazing atmosphere and great food. Reasonable prices.

Quantum Pilot

Kitchen staff gets along but the waitresses you can feel the tension! The menu is trying too hard. They don't have regular breakfast selections! Not recommended unless you are a "granola"

Bevvy Teyems

Fun place to eat. The service is too cool and that is a problem. Prefer good service when eating good food. Otherwise the experience isn’t worth it

Ryan Ilagan

Amazing experience at Clementine. We split the Brussels waffle and each got the fried chicken toast and the braised bacon Benedict. Best breakfast in a while and the service was quick and very friendly. A must visit in Winnipeg!

Great experience having family brunch here a few times. The menu is DIFFERENT, fancier meals and also special ingredients, like smoked artic char, not smoked salmon etc. But definitely some really nice menu options. GREAT location with exposed brick walls and a nice old exchange building. Its in the lower level... can also watch the kitchen staff make the meals, but this does increase the sound quite a bit too.

Robert Reyes Ong

One of the best (if not the best) breakfast spots I've ever tried. The inside is very clean, has a friendly staff, and has a super nice laid back environment. If you're visiting Winnipeg, this would be very high up on my list in terms of restaurants to try. The food is well prepared and the flavours just pops out Make sure to call in ahead to get on their waiting list though as they do get packed pretty quick. For the times that I've visited, I saw people stroll in just to hear that their wait time is around an hour.

Ken P

Visiting Winnipeg from Toronto, heard about Clementines from a friend. Hands down one of the best breakfasts we have ever had! The staff are amazing, very attentive and easy to converse with! The food and drinks are so flavourful, good portion size, and affordable! Amazing flavour! We were very impressed and satisfied. We ordered: mandarin hibiscus mimosa, lychee rose water mimosa, waffle breakfast, chorizo breakfast! 10/10- would recommend to everyone!! Must try spot! Going back there every morning until we leave haha

At the risk of making the lineup to get in even longer, Clementine's lives up to its reputation. Such an awsome breakfast, the Turkish poached eggs are incredible. Our entire group gave their own experiences two thumbs up. Somewhat difficult if you have a walker, but they were very accommodating in getting access to the elevator at the back door. Can't wait to return.

Tyler Altomare

The bacon benedict and the duck chilaquiles tasted great. Best bacon on a benedict in the city.

Acouple Withoutborders

Very busy but great staff handled it well! Great food, cappuccino, lattes. Such a cool atmosphere in an old building and even though it was packed, we were still able to have a nice visit.

John Kuforiji

This was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had and the bacon is Phenomenal!

deLeon

Great flavours, hummus toast and fried chicken both a bit spicy in a good way. Granola pudding and orange juice were fantastic. Coffee just so-so. 20 minute wait but worth it. Quick friendly service even at peak hour.

Richard L

I had the fried chicken on toast. I was unsure / skeptical with the description on the menu, but WOW. The the flavours were fantastic and the chicken juicy. Portion was enough to satisfy but not over stuff. Price was decent / mid range for a lunch plate. Paired it with a Tamarind lemongrass soda, also real good. Would def go back.

Jesse

Best brunch ever.... had their burger dip and it was amazing!

Colum Grove-White

VERY delicious. Fried chicken on toast was excellent. So was the burger, the fried corn and the tomato salad. So excited to order from here again! Would love to dine in to try the tamarind soda!

Clementine's was just alright, and I'm honestly not sure what all the hype is about. The last time I tried to get in there it was packed, with a queue out of the door. I finally get in and the food is just good. The problem is that good is the bare minimum, it's supposed to be good. Anyway. It's nice enough inside, and I liked the music, but it rapidly filled up so I couldn't hear it anymore. Way overhyped, and the service was just ok too. Definitely nowhere near worth being a 45min wait.

Erin Prokopanko

I've been to clementines before for brunch just before I started doing my Google reviews so I had missed this in my review set. It's been a few years since I got the chance. Order their Mochas. Very good quality. Had that along with several brunch items and the poutine for poutine week. I really enjoy their fried chicken and their eggs benedict. This place is notorious for being busy and the lines can be long which is why I generally avoid it. The food is great which is why those lines have stayed consistent for all these years. They are a sister restaurant to one of my favorites in the city, Segovia. Their offerings rarely disappoint. Things to note: No reservations allowed. Often there are lines (go early for the best chances, especially larger parties) Parking is street parking mostly. (Metered in the day) They are a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. No dinner If you thought you review was helpful, please hit that thumbs up button. Thanks!

Jessica Lawrence

The food was amazing, service was great!

Anish Kamboj

Great use of flavour. Delicious, baby red potatoes! Good coffee. Nice atmosphere. Clean bathrooms.

Ritch Nally

We enjoyed the food- waffle chicken, fried potatoes and Turkish eggs were great... friendly service too... I just didnt like the wait to be seated as well as the wait to get your food. If you are planning to come here make sure you have plenty of time (not in a hurry) and not that hungry. Also I suggest to make a reservation.

Valerie

Was told about it, years later tried it out. Yes it really is great!

Andrew Furfaro

Had Duck Chilaquiles, side of Coconut Chia yogurt and granola, along with a morning beverage.. Delicious! Best brunch in Winnipeg.

Jake Koester

Clementine is my favourite restaurant in the city. Before the lockdown I would go at least once a week. If you go during lunch hour or weekend brunch expect a small wait, but the wait is definitely worth it. The Turkish eggs are delicious, and my go-to order. This is the kind of place I'm excited to show my friends and family who have never tried it. Lastly, if the ever have a special on, order that special. I've never regretted ordering one because they are always so unique and interesting.

Louise Taylor

Went here for breakfast. Got the chorizo and my wife got the waffles. They both tasted great! Definitely check it out if you can.

Susie Lin

Great place for brunch, service was great, chicken was a bit spicy.

Madison Dyck

Food is great, nice little place for brunch. Portions are good, quaint and busy little place. The downside is the wait for 2 casears which took 20 mins to get, was suprised by this our food literally arrived seconds after. We ordered right away as we knew what we wanted.

Kevin Gill

Hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Winnipeg! Every time I go I love it more and more. Tip: go early or a bit later as the 9am seems to be a busy time and since there isn't a possibility to make a reservation you undoubtedly will have a substantial wait!

Han Eri

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. They have a killer eggs benedict that I think I've ordered nearly every time because I just love it so much. Another favorite is the chia seed pudding. I can't wait for it to be safe again so that I can go have my vanilla oat milk late during a slow time and read or do some writing.

Update March 26/21: updated to 5 stars! Wonderful prompt service and the food was so delicious! Even with the barriers between tables, it still felt cozy and open. I really enjoyed this restaurant. We came here on a Sunday morning. It felt cozy and the service was attentive. Coffee was really good and came with refills. We tried the waffles, eggs Benedict, home fries, and vanilla ricotta toast- all good to excellent. It was kid friendly. I would suggest getting there early. I'll definitely be back.

Michael Wulff

I always take visitors here to show how excellent Winnipeg Restaurant is. Fried Chicken Toast is the best! Benedict is good too.

Jason Read

I finally got to Clementine. Atmosphere was great for brunch resto; however, cappuccino was lukewarm, my Turkish Eggs were less than lukewarm. Everything was tasty but would have been more so if served hot. Won’t rush back.

Andriy Luts

Great atmosphere and even better food. Came here having heard it's one of the best brunch spots in Winnipeg and I was not disappointed. Very original menu and beautiful presentation. Highly recommend!

Brennan McConnell

Best brunch in Winnipeg. I've tried almost every menu item and it is consistently excellent. Service is great too. The only downside is the long waits for a table on weekends (they don't take reservations), so I'd advise going early. It is well worth it!

Bran Friesen

Cozy and yet chic decor. Small portion for the beef dip entree but sooooo delicious. The meals coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I will go back for certain. Excellent coffee as well.

Douglas Cutts

Came here for their "burger of the week," it was phenomenal! One of the best burgers I've ever had. In general, there's a massive hipster influence which can be seen in the atmosphere and food. The menu is small and varied and mostly good. Staff are friendly and I'd recommend this place to others to try out.

Matthew Carleton

Looove this place! One of the best places for early morning breakfast and lunch. The porridge with nuts and pineapple mousse is divine! Another favourite there is Chicken on the toast. Wish they didn’t change the sauce tho, pretty spicy to my taste now, it was perfect before.

sean r

My partner and I love your chicken on toast. The bread is so yummy and the chicken is just perfect...Love the spice&sauce, pickles on it. Please don't change a thing!!

Jeremy Conklin

A cozy little place, although with all the hustle and bustle and conversation, it is pretty loud. I tried their arctic char, it was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. I would most certainly recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing breakfast/lunch, and I will definitely be going back.

Anne Claros

After an hour and fifteen minutes of feasting with our eyes and tastebuds alike, I turn to my friend and say “this brunch felt like a spiritual experience”. So delicious was the beautifully fried corn with truffle aioli (our most hesitant order, which ended up being both of our favourite), the fluffy, airy and perfectly flavoured chia, the gloriously spiced Turkish eggs, creative watermelon salad (with a corn purée that quickly melted our perplexed faces), and the chicken on toast that even won over the vegetarian at the table (say whattt?). This was the best brunch of my life. I wish nothing but this brunch (I mean the best) for all the wonderful people reading this. Don’t think, just go!

Moyra Francis

An upscale breakfast place without upscale prices. This isn't your typical bacon and eggs breakfast spot. Worth checking out though! Try the Eggs Benedict with their thick cut bacon. I don't remember the name of the dish, but it was fantastic.

Marie Ko

Oh my god! ordered the poached eggs and the hummus dish loved it with the side of thick cut maple bacon strips loved it.... so ended with a really nice waffle dish. was the first customer in the morning. love the environment they have there, food is A+, definitely recommend this place

Alexander Chand

Did not fail the hype! Great ambience, good place to chat with friends, food is awesome but not over priced. Really like how they present their food, very artistic and makes you want to order more!

Jeff Wong

Usually a great meal. Typically the coffee is delicious, Turkish eggs are a favourite. Hadn't been there for a while. Today, service was a bit lacking, burger was genuinely poorly done (soggy bun, relish not good) and the waffles were ok. A bit disappointing because it used to be a bit an amazing spot. Unsure if it's worth another re-try from us

Golbez

What a unique menu. Staff have become friendlier. Great coffee.

Craig Dykstra

Didn't even get in the door. Called ahead of time to see if reservations needed. Person on the phone says no not a problem to walk in as its not busy at all today. I ask what time they close. States 2 pm and if we get there 1:30 or after we will not be turned away. Well we get there at 1:40 pm and they say they are closed because they were busy and had no more ingredients leftover. My biggest reason for the 1 star rating is poor communication could have just saved us a trip if they were honest. I am sure food is great. But they can hang this 1 star rating high. DO BETTER CLEMENTINE BE ON THE SAME PAGE BE FORTH RIGHT NEXT TIME.

Mike Saccoia

Wow!, is the first reaction to the flavors these excellent dishes have. The place is chic and hipster. You take the stairs downstairs and are greeted by a small quaint bar and seating area. The kitchen is open but enclosed with glass so you can see the action but not leave smelling like you were in it. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Pricing is great. The dishes they offer are amazing. Def top 3 restaurants for me in Winnipeg. The drinks are cocktails made with determination to quench any thirst and elevate you whilst doing so. Will def come back and recommend to anyone in the area or visiting, to stop by.

Daniel Lovegrove

Clementines is rated the number 1 place in Winnipeg for breakfast and they do not disappoint. I would recommend anything on their menu. Their bacon is very crispy and tasty. I am only giving them 4 stars because I feel it is too pricy for what you get and that the portions should be larger for the price.

Kevin Gordon

Always an absolute delight to go to Clementine. AN unbelievable local restaurant. Open mornings/lunch, the eggs benny and the home potatoes (side dish) is to die for. Staff is also extremely friendly. Be prepared to wait 15-45 minutes for a table on weekends during peak brunch hours, but it's worth the wait. You can go for a walk around the Exchange District in the memantime!

James Deng

One of the best places to visit in the city. I got here often and bring as many people as I can. They have excellent service and the food is delicious as always. Layers of flavour from each dish with the perfect amount of heat. The waffle is the best I’ve ever had.

Kaitlyn Gyles

Aesthetic was very relaxed, food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Kelsey H

Awesome food and service even though it was busy! Went around noon. Great suggestion by the server ! Thanks Marijana!

Micky Furlong

This might be Winnipeg's best kept secrets, and perhaps one of the best places I've every had brunch. I had the brunch burger dip and the panna cotta. Words can't describe just how good this was so I took pictures. I took pictures of other things including the porridge, eggs benedict, Turkish eggs, and potatoes, all of which got great reviews from those who ate them. If going on a weekend, go very early!

sheila bennett

Reliably awesome, great staff and a rotating menu keep me coming back

Martha Aranguiz

One of the best breakfast/brunch places in town!

O'Neil

Best breakfast in Winnipeg. Possibly in Canada. I'm a big fan of Stella's, but this place takes it up a notch. The cafe mocha and poached bacon benedict has me raving.

Kristina Elkins

One of the best brunches in any Canadian city and incredible value to boot. The thick cut bacon Benedict is ridiculous. The iced matcha drink is the perfect pick me up. There’s almost always a lineup but it moves and service is quick. We roadtripped across the country eating well along the way and this was our favourite breakfast spot. Food 10/10 service 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Value 10/10

Alkarim Velji

What a lovely little spot! My husband and I were visiting for Vancouver, and this is definitely on par with anything on the West Coast. We tried a few items off the menu and everything was delicious and very unique. The coffee was good. The service was very friendly as well. Would definitely return!

Beanz LaLaBirdy

This is the best breakfast place I’ve ever eaten in. Amazing menu. I particularly liked the strawberry rhubarb Belgian waffle with matcha sprinkle. Wow. And the “bacon” was a great accompaniment. I also had the trout on a crisp potato layer with cucumber... Delicious! Their coffee is top notch and I’m very picky about coffee.

Terry Peristerakis

Fave brunch spot when I visit Winnipeg. One of the few places I've found there that does good espresso drinks. Unfortunately not very accessible if you have mobility issues though (restaurant is a basement space that you need to take stairs down to. not a problem for me personally, but worth noting).

Laura McGuffey

It is usually a wait to get a seat but it is still one of my favourite breakfast places in winnipeg. I have never had a dish I didn't love.

Mac Balacano

It was a long wait but totally worth it! Just make sure you call ahead to get your name on the list. Super affordable food and great staff! All very friendly. Will definitely eat there again. ????

Steve Ens

Usually a wait to get a table but food is always great and good service!

Gabriel Leung

Yummy breakfast near you. Restaurant ambiance is cozy and relax. Could be very busy since they really have good food. Place is a little chilly since it's basement.

Ashley Paige

Excellent food and intimate atmosphere. We went in on a Wednesday afternoon just before 1. Place was lively, and took about 10 minutes to seat 2 + our child. I ordered the Fried Chicken Toast. 9/10. Chicken was a touch oily. My spouse got the Brussels style waffles. 9/10. It was the right amount of sweet and she couldn't finish it all (hearty portion). Would definitely return for more!

Blair Parker

My daughter took me there for breakfast and it was amazing. Had to wait for a table but she told me it would be worth it and it was. Excellent food and service. The tables did seem a little close to each other and was a little noisy but we had a fantastic morning.

Kevin Hartle

Love this place... Exceptional food and service every single visit.

All_about_ food

Fantastic food! The braised bacon and their yogurt Panna cotta is delicious ????

Devon Shewchuk

The food was awesome and the service was top notch.

Arielle Dartigues

It's a great hangout in the old exchange district. It's noisy and very busy. It's an artsy type of place. Loved the ambiance. However it's very overpriced for what you get. You want to photograph your meal, not eat it. It looks pretty but you will leave hungry. I'm used to larger portions I guess.

brody mcgee

Delicious brunch. Well worth the wait. This was my second visit in two weeks. I think they could very well be a top 10 brunch restaurant in Canada. Both times I had the Pho Burger and the Fried Chicken. All I can say is YUM. All of the cocktails were good, so were the other drinks. The Arctic char was small, however it should be on the must eat list along with the Pho Burger. The fried chicken is pretty big, consider going bread-less. Their house made pickles have the exact amount of sweet and sour brine to go with the fried chicken. ???????????????????????? Clementine

Gabriel Nazario (Fjaum)

There are many people every time I visit, so I have to wait a little while until the table is ready, but it's worth waiting because I'm satisfied with both the food and the atmosphere. It is also impressive that it is an open kitchen where you can see their works closely.

D S

Great service, the food arrive quite quickly, although I did go on a slower day. What really stood out for me was when I was paying for my food I mentioned to the waitress that it was my birthday. She wished me a happy birthday and I thought that was all, until I got up to leave and she quickly ran to me and gave me a free hot chocolate, which was so sweet of her! It even had marshmallows in it and it was very good! I didn't get her name but she had dark hair and a snake tattoo on her arm. Her gesture made my day even better!

Bree S

Went here for brunch. I gotta say it was very delicious. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. Very hipster feel to the palace, reminds me of restaurants in NYC. Expect to wait if you show up for brunch in the early afternoon. I had the Turkish breakfast, it was very simple but very delicious. Can't wait to try thier dinner one day.

Troy H

Loved the food. Very cozy ambience. Service is good.

Zack Babins

One of the best brunches I’ve ever had, without a doubt. And after being used to Toronto and Ottawa brunch prices, seems like an absolute steal. The braised bacon alone is worth coming back on a daily basis if I lived nearby. The fried chicken was good and the potatoes were amazing. I will for sure be looking here every time I visit Winnipeg.

Mark Petrasanta

One of my all-time favourite brunch places. The food is always fantastic, and the presentation does not disappoint.

Cal

This basement restaurant in the classic Exchange district of downtown Winnipeg is the quintessential nook-that-mind-blows niche eatery that the food culture of Winnipeg thrives for. You will never regret coming for anything on the menu. Most importantly don't sleep on the eggs benedict, any version is going to have a unique and full-bodied taste that will surprise and please you.

jackie ryder

Clementine is one of my favourite places, and I enjoy taking friends and my girlfriend here. The food here is excellent, and offer big portions. I fell in love with their chicken on toast, and appreciate the quality of the hot drinks and their cold beverages. The only thing I can complain about (which isn't a big deal) is the wait times which can range between 10-45 minutes. Luckily the place takes your name and number down to call you when a spot opens up. The best time to come is before the lunch rush at 12, and after 1:30.

Gail Conrad Davey

Delicious every time. They keep the menu fresh with new additions while keeping favourites like braised bacon Benedict and Turkish eggs. Beautiful lattes and cappuccinos and I recommend trying one with maple whiskey.

Neville King

We had the Eggs Benedict, one mushroom, one bacon. I picked this place as a previous reviewer said this place has really good Eggs Benedict. They were correct. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Perfect sauce, thick cut bacon, the bread was easily cut...I'm gonna bring my mom.

Jacky J

Tried their 'Burger Week' special. Unbelievable! Perfectly crafted unique burger. Love this place!

Kelly

Can’t say enough about this place!! Cutest and coziest environment, food is AMAZING (Mushroom toast is 11/10), service is good and everything is fairly priced. Great spot for brunch and for espresso lovers (shoutout to the barista). Would strongly recommend and will definitely be back!!

D M

One of my favorite places in the city. SO happy they're finally on a takeout app. You'll think constantly about when you can get back here. Notes on our meals below: - porridge texture amazing Pineapple puree perfect sweetness Coconut extra texture bonus Blueberries add another texture - Benedict super rich Needs the jalapeno acid to cut through the layers of fatty richness with yolk, meat, and sauce Needs the texture element of jalapeno Dill to round off the flavor at the end nice touch - waffle nice crunch Tastes cake like Very tart balance to the blank canvas waffle - wish strawberries were smaller for more rounded bites with all ingredients - matcha gets lost in abundance of sweetness and tartness of lime and rhubarb - whip a good balance to the tartness if you get enough in the bite. Wish there was a bit more - good portions not too much or little when sharing (for 2 women) - hipster bustling ambiance that camouflages your tables conversation when busy - efficient service - we managed to finish 3 dishes between 2 people (and a coffee) so plan accordingly - will definitely be back and highly recommend giving this a try - coffee was hot. Free refills, tasted good. Bottomless turbinado sugar (on table) and cream (server refilled) available.

Emma Li

Obviously busy during Sunday brunch, had to wait around 30-45mins to seat 5. But worth the wait, the food was delicious! Didn’t understand more than half the dishes or ingredients on the menu, but it didn’t matter because it didn’t seem like you could go wrong with anything you ordered! A couple of my friends thought the bacon on the Benedict was a little on the salty side, but I didn’t notice. Can’t wait to go back and try more on their menu!

Vijay Sharma

The Turkish eggs and the fried potatoes with chickpea mayo/bravas sauce were simply amazing. Lots of taste and flavor. Highly recommended.

Den Lara

Nice little cafe. Service was friendly and helpful, answered our questions and handled our orders well. Food was also very good, the fried chicken on toast was substantial and nicely spicy. The potato and tomato sides were great and the peach waffle was another good choice.

Zoya Tereshchenko

Modern elegance daytime restaurant. Never had a bad meal. Suggest sharing the sides. Only complaint is the hash-browns were salty.

Jared Lavallee

Is it possible to give 6 stars?! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This cafe was absolutely amazing. I lived in Melbourne for a while and it was comparable to an Aussie style QUALITY cafe. We waited for the doors to open right in the morning and it was definitely worth it! The location is downtown Winnipeg.. definitely a hipster vibe! I ordered an espresso martini.. TO DIE FOR! My partner had a London Fog! SPLENDID! For food we shared a combination of the DUCK CHILAQUILES, BRAISED BACON BENNY, and the TOMATO RICOTTA TOAST!! We were just passing through Winnipegon a cross country road trip and were pleasantly surprised on the execution of this cute little basement cafe. The experience of being able to watch your food be cooked in the “on display” styled kitchen was very fun. The restaurant filled up really quick.. so definitely worth showing up before opening hours or making a reservation! Keep up the great work! ✨

Baraa Achtar

Amazing food, friendly staff and interesting underground space. Really delicious. A must-visit brunch location. The burger was incredible, the bacon was outstanding - it just melted in your mouth! Recommend.

Stella Meltzer

Amazing food. Fried shishito peppers and braised Benedict were amazing

Lasha Glennie

One of my favourite restaurants in Winnipeg hands down! Always great food at a reasonable price. Staff are very nice and informative, I always try to come here once a month. Burger Dip and Chicken Waffle are the best as well as the Yogurt Pannacotta

mike hawk

Amazing atmosphere. And the food was unbelievable!! My wife and I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. My only complaint was it took so long. I get the wait at the door, but after we sat down it took about another 20 minutes just to get our order in. I had the Braised Bacon Benedict and will most certainly come back for it again. The flavours were simply mouthwatering.

Brad B

Went for brunch . The menu is simple and tastefully done and desrcibed my dishes to perfection.Had the fried chicken on toast, good but nothing to write home about. I chose as side dish the beet and tabouleh salad. Once again, nothing to write home about. Both dishes were very well presented and my hot meal was hot and my cold side was cold , as it should be. I just found the food a little bland for my taste is all. Overall a good experience really. I’d like to go back and try it again someday. Good service by very friendly staff I might add. One suggestion: turn on the heat!!! This is a basement after all, in Winnipeg, in winter!

Darya Omelchenko

I really love this place! I’ve had three breakfasts here now and it is always great. Cool building and atmosphere. I’ve had the burger dip, chicken and waffles, and the brown butter benedict. I always get an order of the breakfast potatoes that come with seasoning and sauce on top, they are amazing. A little negative point for me is I’m not particularly fond of their coffee (fairly bitter for my taste). Otherwise, keep doing what you’re doing! Very very good! Top three breakfast places for me in Winnipeg.

J M

The food was super tasty and just the right portion. I wasn't super stuffed or hungry by the end of the meal. I got the bacon eggs Benedict and my friend got the seafood cakes and plum tart. It was clearly well done. Also wait staff was friendly. Unfortunately they don't take reservation so our wait was 2.5 hours. Just make sure to have a plan for a long wait.

Nick Pizza

The atmosphere is great and the coffee is fantastic. Service is always friendly and courteous. The burger dip was one of my favourite meals in Winnipeg. They have local beers and are reasonably priced for the portions and quality. Highly recommended.

Justin Kevin Dubreuil

Amazing food, beautiful location, Service was amazing! :) It was my first time going and the experience was awesome. It definitely lived up to all the wonderful reviews! Plan to go early, they get busy fast! Definitely worth the wait though so be patient! :)

Brielle Martens

Delicious food, tiny and fairly noisy but over all good

Josh Learn

Brunch

Pris G

Really nice and busy brunch restaurant! Don’t accept reservation, so be here early.

Rose Geortski

A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. There were a couple of vegetarian options on the menu so I went with the Turkish eggs, which were flavourful and well prepared. I also had the lime herbal tea, which was tasty. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Simon Russell

Clementine is a local favourite for brunch. This quaint cafe serves their food with style, and the service is just the best. The menu items often feature interesting twists on classic dishes—but it always impresses!

Diane S

A lovely trendy and creative little foody spot for brunch, friendly and speedy service, tasty and affordable, and satisfied with precautions taken for safety.

Mary Standich

Really great experience. Went for a last minute lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the very high quality standard of food and portions. Was great pricing as well! I've payed more for a lot less. Would recommend for a great lunch!

Abby RKW

I'm honestly not sure how anybody could give this place less than 5 stars. The food is amazing! And the service and ambiance were top-notch as well. On a busy Saturday, we waited less than fifteen minutes, and were treated to an outstanding meal and some tasty iced lattes. Their braised bacon is unreal.

Shalima Tissera

The best brunch place in the city, imho. Amazing food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere that just can't be beat. I've been here too many times to count, and I still always look forward to my next visit. Depending on when you go you might have to wait for a table, but trust me it's worth it.

Kyle Horsfall

It was a little disappointing with the wait and no reservations. BUT, the food was exceptional! The hostess, servers and porters are second to non for service in Winnipeg. I would not hesitate to come again or recommend to anyone!! Thank you

Ryan D

Enjoyed exceptionally delicious meals with my bride, along with an awesome specialty coffee. Friendly caring helpful staff topped off this fabulous experience. Very highly recommended!

Johnny Blanchard

Cozy little place with awesome food. Visited for burger week and was blown away. Will be back for sure

João Vicente Bastos

I went there with my friends on Sunday morning. It was too crowded and popular. We ordered many dishes and they are amazing with very good portion. The price is fair. Highly recommended if you want a brunch.

Silvia Thorne

Amazing atmosphere. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Price is very reasonable for what you get. I shall return!!

J C

If you like good food, live in Winnipeg, and haven't been to Clementine, you're doing something wrong. This is one of my favourite breakfast/brunch places in the city! The food is a little pricey but it's absolutely delicious. Items are served a-la-carte, so don't expect a full platter of hashbrowns and fruit with your dish. Regardless, Clementine is one of the best restaurants in Winnipeg. Also, the atmosphere inside is wonderful. Check it out!

Xing Huang

Food is always fresh, yummy with unique flavours. As a vegetarian, there are plenty of choices; I love the porridge, Thai salad, beets, waffles, curry toast and potatoes. My friends and I usually order a main and a few sides to share family style, so everyone can enjoy all the deliciousness. Very cute place, usually a wait but definitely worth it!

Sean Ty

The food is better and more original than most places. I personally think they could have at least one new plate per season. As a frequent client. I would enjoy something new on the menu to try. Also, a classic brunch plate for those picky eater friends. Cheers!

Esther Duncan

Excellent service, great food. The chicken was certainly spicy!

Stephanie S

Excellent breakfast joint and great service. Portion sizes are small for the price.

Nina Stopa

My first time at the restaurant and it was amazing! We were told it would be a 20-30 min wait so they took our number and we waited in our car, but it only took 15 min. The mushroom Benedict was incredible. Worth the wait! I will go again.

Chad

Great food and service. Restaurant was full of hipsters. Great vibe going on. Enjoyed the Turkish eggs and the smoked Arctic Char. Brandy hot toddy was delicious......will be back

Shea Ritchie

Completely amazing dining experience. Great atmosphere. Best eggs benedict I've ever had. I went in there and came out feeling like a rock star.

Rico S

We went to Clementine for lunch. We get their Braised Bacon Benedict every single time we're there. We decided this time to add other things to our order. We tried their Fried Chicken on Toast and loved it. Its flavours are more suitable for lunch appetite though. It's certainly a staple now. We also tried their Duck Chilaquiles and we thought it was okay. We expected to taste more of the duck but the seasoning of the rest of the dish drowned it out. Remember however, their menu is always changing and the duck dish was new. We are also head over heels with their breakfast potatoes. A quaint little place tucked in Winnipeg's exchange that deserves a visit!

Charlotte Craig

Ok, wth. I’ve had great breakfasts before. SO many great ones (and many bad ones too). I’ve travelled coast to coast and everywhere in between and Clementine has one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. I don’t drop 5 stars very often but everything was perfect here. We had the porridge, waffles, fresh grapefruit juice, perfectly poached side eggs and amazing coffee (strong and high quality with oat milk). If you need a quality breakfast, you’ve found it. I want to come back to Winnipeg just for this place.

Everett Sass

For what it is, not too shabby. It's breakfast and lunch--it closes after 3 p.m. We had the potato side, the beet side and the bacon side dishes. Sorry I didn't get a picture. Not a big menu, but food was tastefully presented (no pun intended). Service good but not intrusive. Prices livable. Dining room intimate but not noisy.

Pablo Rubio

This spot is busy, but well worth the wait! The burger is one of the best I've had. The pictures speak for themselves. The coffee also is spectacular.

Anne Colangelo

Food was okay, considering the hype around their breakfast i was expecting so much more. Went for breakfast with my wife. I ordered eggs benny, and she got waffles. Eggs benny was all around good, so were the waffles...but not really anything more. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but i don't like my hashbrowns tasting like they're coated in a sugar syrup. Staff was friendly

Fenil Vekariya

If you are feeling like a cute brunch date spot this is a great place to go. Menu is very simple a fb straight forward you choose your main and the buy a side. The quality is there but for the amount you pay and what you get may want to be considered but if you are more about a quality and ambiance this is a good spot if you are looking for big portion size consider exploring other options.

Reinaldo Contreras

Unique, creative menu. Best brunch ever: smoked arctic char plate, fresh orange juice, strong full flavor coffee. Was very noisy. Popular, busy place. Staff friendly. Cozy decor. Hip.

Yuokjerfde Konterfdse

There is good reason for this restaurant/cafe featuring in the ???? 10 things to do/places to visit when in Winnipeg. I don't disagree. The place won't disappoint. A pleasure to have been there. The food, ponsy as it sounds is absolutely amazing. I'll be back (if/whenever possible). Highly recommended.

Tyler Rodrigues

Amazing food and decor, if you want a fun and memorable meal this is a great place. The sides are great to share, try the maple bacon for a real treat. Best to come before 10am, for fast seating. The coffee is sourced from a local company and is very nice. The Belgian waffles are very good choice, I have yet to find something on the menu that did not agree with me.

April Lee

This is a very quaint place in a remodelled basement. Prices for food are decent. Service is really good and friendly. The food is excellent. I recommend this restaurant. Ready for social distancing with plexiglass panels between tables.

Gold Maple

Beautiful presentation. Great coffee. Smoked char was a little low on the smoky flavor, but the combination flavors and temperatures were perfect. Eggs Benedict Bacon was tender perfection. No wonder Clementine is nominated top 10 in Canada. This is gourmet breakfast at its finest.
